HOTTY
John Castagne 22, Trincity
Three things about yourself that you like and why? First I want to say that I am very proud to be the grandson of Patrick Stanislaus Castagne. He is the composer of our Trinidad and Tobago National Anthem. Personally, I like my ability to adapt to any situation. Once I put my mind to it, I will get it done and do it well. I have an innate drive to accomplish and achieve tasks. I like to win at whatever I do. I want to be the best at the task I set myself. I have a positive outlook on everything. Things that some people may consider a failure, I use them as opportunities to learn something from. I use them to grow. What is your OMG moment? I saw Dwayne Bravo on the Santa Cruz old road coming out of this little shop on the way to Maracas and I was so excited I turned to tell my friend, “Aye, look Dwayne Bravo” and when I looked around Bravo was running into the road after a cork ball and this tractor was coming, the driver did not see him running into the road and he was almost knocked down. So I saw Dwayne Bravo for the first time and almost saw him get knock down…OMG! Lighting /Retouching

I don’t understand kids/teens/early 20s anymore and I’m not even 30
It’s deeply unsettling and it really only happened in the last year or two. I know everyone has to grow up eventually but the speed and depth of which I just “don't get it” is horrifying. I see it in music, clothing styles, attitudes and just the way that kids interact with one another. I mean, I’m well aware that every decade or so everything changes but it seems that kids these days just decided to throw everything that already ever happened into a huge blender with a massive helping of entitlement and called it a day. And it happened so damn fast...everything that I knew to be popular/accepted/the norm completely became irrelevant almost overnight. Getting older is like a sick f..king joke. In your head you don’t feel that far removed from people younger than you but when you go to have a conversation and you see just how far apart you really are...man...
Feeling trapped I’m feeling trapped in my day-to-day life. I want nothing more than to start over. I want something new and exciting. Every day I am being confined to a smaller and smaller part of my house, and I want to get out and just go, but I am being held back by the job I have. I don’t make enough money to get out and they have no desire to give me a raise or advance my position. So I am starting to feel like a hamster in a cage.
I am absolutely repulsed by men I am a 21-year-old single female and I know I'm not gay. I do like men, but right now I can’t even think about getting physically close to a man. The thought of it just repulses me. I do want to eventually find a boyfriend. Should I be worried about this? I finally have accepted myself for who I am and I’m so content with being alone and I’m afraid I have taken it too far by being happy with ONLY myself. I’m kinda scared that I'll never actually want a man.
I fake my orgasms
When I’m drunk…
because it’s fun I know it sounds really shitty. My boyfriend has always thought he could give me multiple orgasms, but I’m really a one and done kind of girl. I love sex, and I love sex with him, but having multiple orgasms just doesn’t work for me. And I usually finish way sooner than he does. I also know that he loves getting off with me, but when I finish quicker, it doesn’t work out. So I fake the rest. Sometimes I fake five orgasms, sometimes just one. He always jokes that he’d be able to tell when I was faking, but, he can't =/ I feel bad for it... but I LOVE seeing him watch me while I cum, and... I just can’t make it happen more than once, so… I pretend. I feel like I’m lying to him (I am, technically) but I actually have FUN faking it. I can be so into it because I’m not actually focusing on getting an orgasm.
I need to detox my life
I need to lay off the beer, A LOT. Lay off the pornography, flirting with random women and commit to my girlfriend (who has given me a second chance). Be in the shape that I used to be. And just be an all around better person. This is the first time I try this, and I really don't want to fail. So if anyone has any words of advice or encouragement I would love to hear.
I actually realise the full meaning of the value of people in my life. I love my friends, and I love my family even more, and I am more vocal with how they mean to me. I just want to leave a reminder for myself that my friends, and family, can never be replaced by anything. They showed up and appeared in my life for a reason, and whatever it is, I love them to death, and nothing can change that. I just wish that when I’m sober, I am as confident in saying how much they really mean to me because every day is a freaking gift. And every moment I get to spend with them is a moment well spent. I love them and to those reading this, please, if you love someone, and they love you too, let them know. Hug them, or whatever special thing you do with them and just let it be known. Our time is short, and we can’t live with regrets about those we love.

How to Restart your life There comes a time in life where we decide to take a new path, hopefully a good one! Here's how to get started!
Accept yourself for who you are. This step is very hard, but you have to try. Say "I'm beautiful and I love me for me in every way." in front of the mirror ten times a day. It may seem silly, but it helps! Once you accept yourself, you can accept others. Think of things you love about yourself and say it aloud e.g. "I am a great dancer" or "I am an awesome cook". Find a new hobby. Finding a new hobby will keep you distracted from doing bad things. Try new things like drawing, dancing, playing sports or swimming. Look online for ideas, in
the news, or ask a friend for a hobby they suggest.
don't ditch them, you will find yourself running in circles.
Clean yourself up. Wear clean clothes, brush those teeth, shave, take a shower, brush your hair, and wear deodorant every day. This will make you feel good about yourself, and once that happens others will feel good about you.
Be kind. Take kindness into action. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Be helpful and step into the person's shoes if in a tough situation. Try to understand how they feel first to help them. Say "Hi" to someone new every day and wave to them.
Stop swearing, drinking or smoking. If you do any of these things, stop. They are all bad habits that don't give people a good first impression of you. Walk with your shoulders up. Keep your confidence! Smile a big grin to the world and stand with pride. Ditch any bad friends you have. They are your influence. If you
Have faith and hope. Without it, you will be lost. Wear appropriate clothes. Don't dress for attention, you're not an item or an advertisement, so why dress inappropriately? You can still dress with fashion, though. Don't have any rude sayings on your shirt like " @#$%^ you!"
How your attitude can determine your life By Ed and Deb Shapiro
Is your glass half-empty or half-full? Whether you’ve had a bad day, month or year, keeping a positive attitude is the key to improving your situation. Ed and Deb Shapiro explain how to accept who you are and where you are on your life’s journey and feel grateful for your blessings. We all hear about amazing people who have overcome great obstacles in their lives. No one ever said life was going to be easy, yet how challenging it is can often be determined by your own attitude. We just saw a wonderfully uplifting and moving video about Nick Vijick. This extraordinary man, now 25 years old, can dive, play golf, fish and skipper a small boat and has sparkly eyes and a huge smile, yet he was born with no arms and no legs, just a small flap he uses as a foot. He also gives powerfully inspiring talks to tearyeyed children and adults that completely transform them. Nick has spoken to audiences in more than 15 countries and to more than 2 million people. Watching Nick, who has overcome adversity that most of us will never come near to experiencing, leaves us in awe and invites us to confront thoughts that we are inadequate, useless or even incapable and moments in which we felt
awkward, overweight, too short or too tall. We make our own, often small, issues appear so big that they easily dominate our behavior. You cannot always choose what happens in life, but you can choose to respond with either fear or love, with anger or with acceptance. You can’t control the wind, but you can adjust your sails. Someone like Nick can inspire you to accept yourself just as you are, warts and all, and to see that despite the flaws, you are actually beautiful. His optimistic and heartfelt attitude can free you from feeling repulsed by him, as he is okay with who he is, just as he is. It’s eye-opening that we need to hear this from someone who has so obviously struggled before we can believe it for ourselves, but when you truly get that life is a blessing, no matter how hard it might be, then you are honoring that struggle. At times, you can easily resent what life has given you. You may focus on what you don’t have or what you can’t do, which brings you down and deflates your energy. Instead, it is necessary to focus on what you do have and what you can do and to feel gratitude for this. If you believe it’s impossible, it’s impossible; if you believe it’s possible, it’s definitely possible! As Nick says: “It’s a lie to think we are not good enough or not worthy of anything. Attitude is altitude!”

Get unstuck: The 4 keys to pulling yourself out of a rut By Robin Hilmantel
Exercise slumps, relationship ruts, and overall mental funks happen to the best of us. But while getting stuck is inevitable, staying there isn't. "Plateaus are perfectly normal—the human body is wired to adapt to things," says mathematician Hugh Thompson, PhD, who, along with investigative reporter Bob Sullivan, spent more than two years interviewing psychologists, CEOs, pro athletes, and scientists on what drives success—and what stalls it—for their new book The Plateau Effect. Here, they reveal the traps that threaten to flatline your progress. Trap 1: You Use the Same Technique That Worked for You Last Week When Thompson and Sullivan analyzed the contestants from the first four seasons of The Biggest Loser, they spotted a surprising trend: Almost all the competitors saw dramatic weight loss results during the first weighin, on day seven, but the following week they lost, on average, just 2 percent of their body weight. "As a species, humans have evolved to respond to novelty," says Thompson. "Once we've become accustomed to something, we may grow immune to its effects." Your body and mind will respond most positively if you keep exposing them to original situations: say, a new machine at the gym to challenge your muscles, or an unusual date-night outing (trapeze lessons, perhaps?) to keep your relationship fresh. Trap 2: You Don't Track Your Progress The lead-up to some plateaus can happen so gradually that you may not notice until it's too late. "We found that one of the most important ways successful people stave
off slumps is by establishing markers," says Sullivan. Some form of data collection—tracking your salary, recording your waist circumference, or periodically rating how you feel about your spouse on a scale of 1 to 10—can help you spot and reverse a negative progression before it picks up speed. Trap 3: You Seek Quick Fixes Are you a serial plateau-er—someone who breaks through a period of inaction only to find yourself stuck again months later? You may be falling prey to what Thompson refers to as the "greedy algorithm"—choosing a path that seems most likely to provide immediate progress but ultimately leads to a dead end. Fortunately, you can trick your brain to delay gratification with longerterm goals that can provide lasting results. "People who are accomplished, especially at work, do this by breaking big goals into small steps, giving themselves more opportunities for victories," says Thompson. "This trains the mind to say, Hey, I'm doing something positive, even if I'm still a long way from the finish line." Trap 4: Your Timing Is Off "There's no easier way to get unstuck than to respect your body clock," says Sullivan. "If you run faster at 8:30 A.M. than at 7:30 A.M., the sensible thing to do is move your workout to the later time; yet many people make the mistake of squeezing in activities when they can—not when they'll achieve the best results." Studying the role timing plays in other areas of life, including interactions with others, will serve you well, too. While you might not want to ambush your boss with your pitch for a raise first thing in the morning, that may be the best time to do it. (One study found that parolees who had their hearings early in the court's session received better rulings more often than applicants at the end of the session.) As the day wears on, something psychologists call decision fatigue sets in, making people less likely to weigh your request fairly. Says Sullivan, "Timing is one of the biggest factors that separates the stuck from the successful."

How to accept
rejection
Okay, so here’s the thing. You walk into a room with a few judges ready to test you. You know you can do it, everybody knows. But when you do it, you flop and you don’t please the judges. What do you expect to do? Step 1
Look at it differently. Instead of just another huge embarrassing moment in life take it as a reminder. It helps you remember to not repeat mistakes and builds improvement. It makes you better and better, so if you fail, it’s worth trying again.
Step 2
Don’t let regret absorb inside you. Instead of what has been stated above, this makes you worse and worse. If you think back to all the bad times and just can’t knock it back out of your head, then laugh at yourself. People often like people with a positive attitude!
Step 3
I just can’t get over it! That’s what the mind would say to the body. And when it does, the body will get upset. As
in, your humour goes cold and your face is sad and droopy. You have no mood to talk and you wouldn’t eat. DON’T. This only makes things worse.
Step 4
Do not let your emotions take over either. It can make you lose friends and lose your will to enjoy yourself. Keep a happy feeling and think positive is the way or just scream into a pillow and punch your bed to help.
Step 5
Remember, it’s not the end of the world. Be proud of yourself. At least you got up and told him/her that you care for them.

HOW
TO’S
How to get more sleep There are plenty of proven ways to improve your sleep, and most of them are pretty simple. STEP 1 - Chill the room
Turn down the heat or turn up the airconditioning: Research shows that people sleep best in rooms that are between 60 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit. But wear socks to bed if your feet are chilly; though your core body temperature should be cool, your feet should be toasty.
STEP 2 - Have a comfortable bed
Sleep on a firm, thick mattress, and make sure it stays in good shape by replacing it every 10 years or so. An uncomfortable bed can cost you 42 minutes of sleep per night, according to one sleep expert.
Tip – If you sleep on your side, put a pillow between your legs to take stress off your hips and back muscles. STEP 3 - Keep it dark
Keep your bedroom as dark as possible by installing blackout curtains and covering LED displays on clocks and other devices.
STEP 4 - Get some exercise
Get some exercise every day. Just skip the strenuous stuff three hours before bedtime.
Tip – In one study, older adults who took up the ancient Chinese martial art tai chi reported significant improvements in their sleep quality. STEP 5 - Establish a routine
Set up a pre-sleep routine; it will prime your body to wind-down. Try to go to sleep and wake up at approximately the same time every day – even on the weekends.
STEP 6 - Enjoy a bedtime story
Settle into bed with a book or magazine about 30 minutes before lights out. Reading relaxes your brain, as opposed to watching TV or using a computer, which are stimulating.
STEP 7 - Unplug yourself
Turn off your cell phone: Results from one study indicate that the radiation emitted from mobile phones may delay and interrupt sleep.
STEP 8 - See a doctor
If nothing helps, make an appointment with a board-certified sleep specialist, who can rule out medical conditions that may be causing your insomnia. Find one at sleepcenters.org.

15 Reasons You Need a Business Plan
Whether you’re just starting out, growing your business or seeking outside help, a well-thought-out business plan is the vehicle you need to get you there. by Tim Berry
Why do you want a business plan? You already know the obvious reasons, but there are so many other good reasons to create a business plan that many business owners don’t know about. So, just for a change, let’s take a look at the less obvious reasons first and finish with the ones you probably already know about. Think of this as a late-show top 10, with us building up to the most important reasons you need a business plan. 15. Set specific objectives for managers. Good management requires setting specific objectives and then tracking and following up. I’m surprised how many existing businesses manage without a plan. How do they establish what’s supposed to happen? In truth, you’re really just taking a short cut and planning in your head-and good for you if you can do it--but as your business grows you want to organize and plan better, and communicate the priorities better. Be strategic.
Develop a plan; don’t just wing it. 14. Share your strategy, priorities and specific action points with your spouse, partner or significant other. Your business life goes by so quickly: a rush of answering phone calls, putting out fires, etc. Don’t the other people in your business life need to know what’s supposed to be happening? Don’t you want them to know? 13. Deal with displacement. Displacement is probably by far the most important practical business concept you’ve never heard of. It goes like this: “Whatever you do is something else you don’t do.” Displacement lives at the heart of all smallbusiness strategy. At least most people have never heard of it. 12. Decide whether or not to rent new space. Rent is a new obligation, usually a fixed cost. Do your growth prospects and plans justify taking on this increased fixed cost? Shouldn’t that be in your business plan? 11. Hire new people. This is another new obligation (a fixed cost) that increases your risk. How will new people help your business grow and prosper? What exactly are they supposed to be doing? The rationale for hiring should be in your business plan. 10. Decide whether you need new assets, how many, and whether to buy or lease them. Use your business plan to help decide what’s going to happen in the long term, which should be an important input to the classic make vs. buy. How long will this important purchase last in your plan? 9. Share and explain business objectives with your management team, employees and new hires. Make selected portions of your business plan part of your new employee training.
8. Develop new business alliances. Use your plan to set targets for new alliances, and selected portions of your plan to communicate with those alliances. 7. Deal with professionals. Share selected highlights or your plans with your attorneys and accountants, and, if this is relevant to you, consultants. 6. Sell your business. Usually the business plan is a very important part of selling the business. Help buyers understand what you have, what it’s worth and why they want it. 5. Valuation of the business for formal transactions related to divorce, inheritance, estate planning and tax issues. Valuation is the term for establishing how much your business is worth. Usually that takes a business plan, as well as a professional with experience. The plan tells the valuation expert what your business is doing, when, why and how much that will cost and how much it will produce. 4. Create a new business. Use a plan to establish the right steps to starting a new business, including what you need to do, what resources will be required, and what you expect to happen. 3. Seek investment for a business, whether it’s a startup or not. Investors need to see a business plan before they decide whether or not to invest. They’ll expect the plan to cover all the main points. 2. Back up a business loan application. Like investors, lenders want to see the plan and will expect the plan to cover the main points. 1. Grow your existing business. Establish strategy and allocate resources according to strategic priority. You can find more information about growing your business with a business plan by reading “ Existing Companies Need Planning, Too .”

Tips for
Startup Success
Follow this advice to improve the odds of success when you start your home business. BY LESLEY SPENCER PYLE
You have the perfect home business idea. You can’t believe no one has thought of it before. Or, if someone has, he or she doesn’t have your vision, skills or passion. You are convinced this new business is the key to your successful future.
Now what? The best way to improve your odds of success is to move slowly and carefully in starting a business. Do so, and you can join the 70 percent of businesses that succeed in their first two years, according to the SBA. Begin with a plan. Not all home businesses need an official business plan, but every home business owner must spend some time planning. Before you put out your shingle, sit down and determine how much money you need to invest (and in what), your goals (short- and long-term), your marketing plan and all those pesky details (For example, do you need a separate checking account?). Find a mentor. You may know someone who has successfully created a home business and feel comfortable asking for advice. An incredible free resource is SCORE, a national association dedicated to helping small-business owners form and grow their businesses. SCORE offers local and online mentoring, and it helps 20,000 small-business owners a year. Seek help from other small businesses, vendors,
professionals, government agencies, employees and trade associations. Be alert, ask questions, and learn everything you can. Money in the bank. Don’t quit your day job just yet. For those of you considering the full-time freelance plunge--set up a savings account with enough funds to cover at least six months’ worth of bills. This will give you a buffer to help with your budget. While hunger might be a good motivator, it’s easier to work when you have electricity and your house isn’t being repossessed. Keep competitive. Even if you think your business is unique, you need to conduct a competitive analysis in your market, including products, prices, promotions, advertising, distribution, quality and service. Also be aware of the outside influences that affect your business. Know what makes the difference between you and your competitors. Is it service, price or expertise? Whatever it is, capitalize on it. All systems grow. Word of mouth is the best way to grow your business. Ask your satisfied clients for referrals, offer free consultations to new referrals, and consider a referral or finder’s fee. Get your name out to build your brand. Go to
industry events-conferences, association meetings and seminars. Go to events in client industries; socialize, and always have your card ready. In addition, do some pro bono work for a charitable organization with industry links. Focus on getting several good clients who pay on time and are easy to work with. “I’ve seen many virtual assistants put all their efforts into one client only to find themselves stuck when their client closes its doors or its needs change,” says Tracy Morris, a VA in Houston. “I was making enough money to be relatively comfortable with just one or two clients, but I knew I had to diversify to feel safe.” . With some advance planning, sound advice and a dedication to succeed, you can join the thousands of home business owners who have found their ideal work solution right in their own home.
Networking like a pro By Ivan Misner
While simply following up at all is unique -- and will likely help you stand out -- there’s a certain art to effective follow ups. No matter if you write or call, plan out what you’ll say if the person on the other line picks up or responds to your note. 1. Set the tone. The tone of your communication should be fun and light, while remaining professional and respectful. Don’t be too serious, but don’t take it too far. You want to extend the great impression you made when you met in person. 2. Remember what was memorable. What was different about the person you’re writing to? If they used some sort of marketing gimmick or dressed in a way to support what they do, mention how clever it was. For example, there’s a freelance editor I met who called herself the grammar doctor. She would wear scrubs and a stethoscope to networking events. That’s creative, and it deserves a compliment. 3. Jog their memories. Mention something you talked about to make them remember your discussion. Talk about what they said about their profession or what they like to do. Something like, “Your views on internet marketing were really refreshing,” could work well. 4. Offer a compliment. Talk about their enthusiasm for their industry or their unique ideas and perspectives. Be sincere, and don’t come across as though you’re kissing up. Just let them know why you think you should continue talking. 5. Be a connector. This is a tip for event organizers, but it’s a great idea for
everyone. Give them the name of someone you think they should connect with -- someone who can help them in their business or use their services. 6. Close the deal. No, don’t pitch them or attempt to sell them something. Your objective at this stage is just to get a meeting. So suggest that you get together for coffee soon. Suggest a time and place, and let them know you’re looking forward to seeing them again.
There is only one boss. The customer. And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else. Sam Walton

BP Marionettes Chorale launch 50th anniversary double CD 30 JULY, 2013 (PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO): With the launch of their 50th anniversary season of celebrations, the BP Marionettes Chorale also launch their latest CD, Landmarks: the 50th anniversary commemorative album. This jubilee release features two CDs in one collector’s package: one CD with 19 evergreen favourites ranging widely over the Marionettes’ repertoire – from spirituals and gospel to opera and calypso; and a second of 15 Christmas classics, recorded at performances over the last 15 years. The BP Marionettes adult choir may be 50 years old, but they are providing for a long-term future: a Youth Chorale was added in 1995, and a children’s choir in 2012. All three choirs perform on this album, on their own and in combination. US-trained choral conductor Dr. Roger Henry became the BP Marionettes’ Assistant Musical Director in October 2012, and he conducts some of the selections on the albums. Digitally mastered by Sean L. Sandiford of Sanch Electronix, the music of Landmarks spans five centuries and many cultures. The selected performances reflect the cultural range
of this versatile Caribbean-based choir. Alongside classic items by Handel, Bizet and Fauré is music from Africa, Israel, Brazil and Venezuela. The texts are in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Shona, Hebrew, Latin and Trinidad English. Some of the music is sung a cappella, some to the accompaniment of a simple keyboard, some with a full steel orchestra (the BP Renegades). The choir’s own orchestra is highly flexible, functioning as a symphonic ensemble and in various instrumental combinations, often with steelpan and African drums. Landmarks is the eighth commercial release by the BP Marionettes Chorale, which includes four other CDs: Good News (2002) a collection of best-loved spirituals; two Christmas albums, Sing Noël (2007) and A Christmas Album (1998) a mix of popular western and international Christmas songs and carols, with a dash of Trinidad parang; and Voices & Steel (1994) with the Neal & Massy All Stars Steel featuring cherished classical and spiritual selections. Landmarks, and all recordings by the BP Marionettes, is available in hard copy and for digital download at the BP Marionettes website (www.marionetteschorale.com), on iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby.com, and more. For more information, contact the Marionettes at email@marionetteschorale. com, or (868) 790-1751.

Heidi Walcott is one of the most photographed women in Trinidad and Tobago. She has graced the covers and pages of most of the local magazines and newspapers and has appeared in countless print ads, fashion spreads and fashion editorials. She has walked the runways for all the major fashion designers and paraded the latest costumes for the most popular carnival bands. Heidi’s list of personal achievements and milestones goes a pretty long way. This true Trini beauty is a complex, driven and hardworking young woman, who has an insatiable desire to explore all her God-given talents and dreams. Heidi visited the team at OMG recently and we sat down for a chat. Those of us who have been around Heidi know that she is a total goofball but she says those people who don’t know her thinks she is “stush” and unapproachable. She says that is far from the truth and she wants everyone to know that she is a “fun-loving, regular girl who can get along with everyone, so stop judging…lol.” Heidi was very excited to tell us the big news, which is her boyfriend of eight years proposed to her a few days ago. She is very excited about this new chapter of her life that is about to unfold. She never really saw herself as the marrying type but when he proposed she was happy to say yes because she
feels she knows him well enough and they would be able to overcome any challenges that marriage could bring. This local beauty studied business at Roytec and fashion design at UTT and is working with Bradfords in their design, manufacturing and production factory. She is getting first-hand experience of and developing an appreciation for the many elements it takes to make, market and distribute garments. This is priceless preparation for her future role as a fashion designer. She says fashion design is her first love; in fact, anything creative gets her attention. Last year Heidi starred in a local film called A Story About Wendy which will be making its world television premiere on CCN TV 6 on Sunday August 25. A Story About Wendy is a 40-minute long film produced, written and directed by Sean Hodgkinson, owner of Quirky Films. The film was screened at the 16th annual Zanzibar International Film Festival on June 29. It was so well received by the audience that it got two showings. Heidi says it is so heart-warming to see people from other parts of the world embracing T&T’s culture. One of her most memorable moments was when it debuted at Movietowne in Trinidad. She and Sean were standing in the corridor leading into the cinema because there was no room for them to sit. They were totally nervous about the audience’s reaction. They were pleasantly surprised at how people got the jokes and things they thought they might not get. They did get them and were totally entertained. Sean says they are currently in production with A Story About Wendy 2 which should be completed later this year.
Heidi says her happy time is spent running. It keeps her fit, clears her mind and is something she never wants to stop. She says running makes her very focused. She says dreams are not events that happen to you, they are things you make happen through hard work, determination and fierce commitment. She says a lot of people look at her and think she has had life easy, with gifts handed to her. However she says she had to go out there and show up and do her best every time a new opportunity or challenge faced her. Heidi’s life has been a continuous pursuit of her passions and finding out who Heidi really is. Her aim is to enjoy every minute of the journey. Heidi’s OMG moment happened while they were filming All About Wendy 1. She said she had spent the night out and came straight to the set; she did not go home to drop her bag or anything. All the crew – about eight or nine guys – were there hanging around outside Sean the director’s house. So she comes out of the car with her overnight bag filled with her dirty clothes. As she is walking up the yard Sean’s little puppy comes up to her. She puts the overnight bag down and starts to pet the dog. The dog however sticks his nose into the bag and pulls out her panty. It is not exactly the most flattering panty – it is a big, old sleepover panty and she shrieks in shock and lunges at the dog. However the dog thinks she is ready to play and he starts running around the yard with the panty in his mouth. She was very embarrassed, running in front of the crew and trying to get the dirty panty out of the dog’s mouth… OMG!

Interview Stephen Doobal | Story Amelia C. Ramjarrie
A mask can enable the expression of repressed feelings and thoughts, sometimes creating blurred lines between reality and the world of makebelieve and fantasy. I have always thought of make-up that way – as a kind of mask. It can mask abuse, depression, pain and hurt. So is it that make-up is protection? OMG recently spoke with Arlene Villarule, one of Trinidad’s most talented make-up artists. Arlene made a statement that resonated with me for quite a while. She said if a person doesn’t have confidence in themselves, no amount of make-up would make them feel beautiful. Make-up can make you look good but it can never make you feel good. Therefore, you must allow yourself to be transformed spiritually; then you can feel secure in your beauty – naturally. On her return to Trinidad several years ago Arlene opened a European clothing store but, as the saying goes, “if you want God to laugh tell him your plans”. Make-up jobs dominated over the clothing store business and soon Arlene became totally engrossed in that aspect of her life.

She began posting her work on Facebook, using dramatic theatrical make-up with wounds and gashes over the face and, strange enough, local stars and artistes started asking her to do their makeup. Arlene has racked up quite an impressive list of celebrity clients that she would do make-up for. Teaching make-up classes and hosting workshops is also part of her schedule. She says make-up is a real fulltime profession for her. Arlene says she is more than a makeup artiste – she wants to be a motivator for her customers and the people who sit in her chair. She empowers people because as a spiritual person, she is assured by God that if she takes care of people then he would take care of her. Anyone who meets Arlene will gravitate towards her positive nature. Apart from her 13 years of experience in make-up, her formal training with Georgia Armani Cosmetics in London and her versatility in different styles of make-up, it’s her positivity that has provided her with many opportunities for doing make-up. These include the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in 2009, Brian McFarlane’s productions and local entertainers such as Kes, Rachel Price, Nesha B, Ravi B, Nadia Batson and many others. Arlene says she is working all the time and is very grateful for her clients and feels lucky to be literally living her passions, so it is not really work, it is therapy for her soul. She says she ultimately wants people to not only see their outer beauty but feel their inner beauty shine through the make-up. She says only when you find the beauty in yourself, only then you will find it in the outside world. She is a living testament to that because she said at one point in her
"The Art of Beauty" by Arlene Villarule
life she had everything, every material thing, and yet she was not happy. She would get up depressed; the person her family and friends were seeing she could not see. So what is this make-up artist’s OMG moment? Arlene said that it was returning to Trinidad and the fact that her work in make-up was so well received. She marvels at how she has been able to make a real connection with her 10,000-plus on-line fans and the support they have been to her and the way she has been able to touch and inspire so many of her friends on-line, with just simple words of encouragement or a different perspective on their problems.

Four ways exercise can improve your sex life Regular exercise has a great number of benefits, like reducing your risk of cancer and diabetes, improving sleep and, of course, helping maintain a healthy weight. There’s at least one more important benefit—regular exercise can improve your sex life. 1 ) Circle of Love Stand with your knees soft and in a relaxed posture. Slowly breathe in and circle the arms up and around to the side, opening the oblique muscles between the ribs and hips. Hold this position and breathe two deep breaths. Circle your arms down toward your pelvis and up around to the other side. Hold this position and breathe two deep breaths. Reverse the circle and repeat five times. This stretch helps strengthen the abdominals, internal and external obliques. 2 ) Rocking Hipster Start on the floor with your knees bent and hips lifted off the floor in a bridge position. Keeping your rib cage lower and belly pressed into the spine, sway your hips side to side like swinging in a hammock. Rock side-to-side for 30 seconds, lower the hips to the floor and repeat. This strengthens the pelvic muscles and helps increase hip flexibility. 3 ) Lying Backer Start by lying face down on the floor with arms and legs extended. Lift your arms and legs 1 to 2 inches off the floor while keeping your gaze downward and chin neutral. Hold for 10 seconds and repeat eight to 12 times. This exercise strengthens the back and glutes to help stabilize the spine. It reduces lower
back injuries, which, according to research, have been reported as a common injury that reduces sexual activity. 4) Constrictor Start on the floor with your knees bent and hips lifted off the floor in a bridge position. With feet wide, squeeze your knees together and add a Kegel contraction at the same time. Exhale on each thigh squeeze and repeat for eight to 12 repetitions. Increasing strength in the pelvic floor muscles is important for sex. Incorporating the muscles of the inner thighs, hamstrings and glutes in conjunction with these movements heightens. 5)One More Tip for Better Sex One other healthy regimen to include with regular Love-ilates is eating watermelon. According to a recent study at Texas A&M’s Vegetable and Fruit Improvement Center, watermelon contains ingredients that relaxes blood vessels similar to the effects of erectile dysfunction prescription drugs and may even increase sexual drive. Snack healthy, exercise often and Love-ilates!

Cold Showers really are good for you Cold showers, a form of hydrotherapy, were a recognized medical treatment until it fell out of popularity with increased access to heated water and prescription medications. • There are many health benefits to cooling off your shower, and your body, will even save some money on your utility bills. • Strengthens immunity by increasing production of white blood cells. This makes you less likely to develop colds and flus, and even some forms of cancer. • Improves blood circulation which is vital to overall health. The alternation of hot and cold water improves circulation by constricting and dilating blood vessels. This can help prevent hypertension, hardening of the arteries, the appearance of varicose veins, and help you feel and look better. • Regulates body temperature by thermogenesis, or production of body heat. This activates the body’s adaptive repair systems. If you have chronic cold hands and feet or think that you sweat too much, try this. • Promotes weight loss by increasing metabolic rate. Brown fat is heavily involved in burning energy, brown fat is formed by exposure to cold. You will see more weight loss and growth and repair of muscle tissue. • Helps alleviate depression, cold water stimulates the brains “blue spot” and stimulates production of noradrenaline, which alleviates depression.
• Improves lymphatic movement, lymph carries away waste material from cells, it relies on contraction of muscles to do this, cold showers cause whole body contractions. Lymphedema in feet and ankles is a common sign of poor circulation. • Deepens breathing to try to combat the stress of the shock, vasoconstriction, and need for oxygen to keep warm. It also helps to prevent feelings of fatigue and has been proven to help with COPD. • Keeps skin and hair healthy, hot water dries out your skin, cold water tightens cuticles and pores to make hair shinier and improve the appearance of skin. This is also beneficial to prevent blemishes such as acne and helps your body with detoxification. • Increases energy and sense of well-being. Ancient samurai warriors poured buckets of cold water over their heads every morning, this is called Shinto in the practice of Misogi, this was believed the cleanse the spirit each day to ready yourself for the new one. • Increases hormone production which can be very helpful when you are trying to conceive. It is not recommended to make a sudden change, anything drastic can produce too much stress on your body. You can start by adjusting your water temperature from comfortably warm, warm, tepid, cool, then cold. You can also turn the water cold for your last 30 seconds in the shower and work your way longer. You’re going to shower anyway, may as well enjoy it and have it work for your body.
Pink Grapefruit
The many health benefits
Grapefruit is high in enzymes that burn fats, has high water content and has less sodium. A combination of these three characteristics make grapefruit a perfect food for increasing your body’s metabolism. Try eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice every day and you will notice how quickly you lose those extra pounds. 2. Prevents Arthritis and Works as an Antiseptic Grapefruit contains salicylic acid that helps break down the body’s inorganic calcium, which builds up in the cartilage of joints and may lead to arthritis. If you have arthritis, try drinking grapefruit juice with apple cider vinegar. You will notice a reduction in your arthritis symptoms. The salicylic acid in grapefruit also works as a powerful antiseptic. In addition, grapefruit seed extracts can be added to water to make an antiseptic spray for treating bacterial and fungal infections. 3. Grapefruit Helps in Cancer Prevention Lycopene is a carotenoid pigment that is responsible for the red color of grapefruit. It is a powerful agent against tumors and cancers as it acts as a scavenger of cancer-causing free radicals. Lycopene works best with vitamins A and C, which are also found in grapefruit. An antioxidant compound, called naringenin, is also found in grapefruit. Naringenin helps repair damaged DNA in prostate cancer cells. DNA repair contributes to cancer prevention as it impedes the reproduction of cancer cells. 4. Grapefruit Helps Lower Cholesterol Levels The antioxidants found in grapefruit are effective in reducing cholesterol levels. However, if you are on prescription drugs, do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice. Grapefruit has a negative reaction against many prescription drugs such as
those used in treating depression, allergies, high blood pressure, seizures, impotence, heart palpitations and even HIV. Inform your physician if you want to use grapefruit as a regular form of treatment. 5. Grapefruit Treats Common Ailments Eating grapefruit or drinking its juice helps treat common cold and fever, dissolve gallstones, boost liver function and enhance immunity against infections. As grapefruit contains a dietary fiber called pectin, it thus promotes better digestion. In addition, if you want to have a healthy and smooth skin, try including grapefruit in your diet. You can get many other benefits from grapefruit because it also contains essential elements such as iron, calcium, potassium, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, folic acid and B vitamins (thiamine, riboflavin and niacin). You can even extract oil from grapefruit peel for use in aromatherapy.

Sherlyn Chopra: The Playboy cover made me free spirited! by Prathamesh Jadhav
The controversial babe talks about her stint with the international magazine, her erotic film Kamasutra 3D , love, sex and everything in between in an exclusive chat with BollywoodLife. She’s is the first Indian woman to have posed nude for the Playboy cover. Sherlyn Chopra is now excited about her next erotic adventure, the film Kamasutra 3D. We caught up with the uninhibited and uncensored sex siren on a rainy afternoon in Mumbai….. What is Sherlyn Chopra doing these days? I am preparing to shoot for my epic movie Kamasutra 3D and also enjoying the tremendous response I am getting for my debut television stint, MTV Splitsvilla. There’s something more I am working on which I will discuss once it’s done. One needs to have a fabulous body and the willingness to show it off to be a Playboy playmate; what more do you need to have be on the Playboy cover? You have to have the money to buy a ticket to fly to the Playboy mansion. Do you have the money? I don’t believe that you shelled out money from your own pocket to fly to the US…. Oh yes, I did! What else does one need to be on the Playboy cover? You need have faith in yourself. I wrote a letter to Hugh Hefner and expressed my interest to shoot for Playboy magazine. I did not say that I want to do any shoot with Playboy. I was very specific that I wanted to shoot for the Playboy cover and not for the inside pages or for any other Playboy shoot. We hear that you received a handwritten letter from Hugh Hefner… Yes, I have that letter with me even today and soon I am going to laminate it. (Shooting for Playboy and meeting Hefner) was undoubtedly the best phase of my life. Does thinking about that phase make you emotional? Yes, it does. When I returned after my Playboy assignment, what happened around me, woh sab ummeed se dugna tha. Aur kaafi unexpected tha. I did not realise that the Playboy assignment would change me. How has the stint with Playboy changed you? I have become free-spirited, which I was not earlier. Aaj jo bolna chahati hoon, who main bolti hoon – yeh nahi sochti ki bolungi toh uska kya anjaam ho sakta hain. I have become an open book now. Were there any inhibitions before dropping clothes for Playboy? Before the body make-up or after it? Both! Well, after the body make-up I felt like I was a super-woman who could do anything! When you have a brand new Jaguar car, do you hesitate to show it off? Toh kuch waisa hee haal tha mera. We hear that Playboy was not happy with your shoot so the cover was not released and therefore you were not invited to the Playboy lifestyle party. Is that right? Nobody has seen the cover in India because it is not released yet. Inshallah yeah year end tak release ho jaaye. And as far as the Playboy lifestyle party is concerned, let me inform you thatPlayboy magazine and Playboy Lifestyle are the two different verticals. An A-list Bollywood diva said in a recent interview that Indian women are not suited to don a bikini. Do you agree? One can’t jump into the water without a bikini. If not a bikini, what else? Grandma chaddis?

Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp May Quit Acting: "It's Rihanna Blast Probably Not Too Chris Brown On Instagram: “Where Far Away" Rihanna
Celebrity News By Stephanie Webber
Johnny Depp, say it ain't so! The Lone Ranger star may be one of the biggest, richest A-listers in Hollywood, but the 50-year-old actor may be ready to step down from the spotlight in the next few years. During a recent interview with BBC to promote the U.K. release of The Lone Ranger, Depp admitted that he may quit acting.
Depp, who recently split with longtime partner Vanessa Paradis and rebounded with Amber Heard, added: "So, are there quieter things that I wouldn't mind doing, you know? Yeah, I wouldn't mind that."
"I wouldn't say that I'm dropping out any second, but I would say it's probably not too far away," he admitted. "At a certain point, you start thinking, and when you add up the amount of dialogue that you say per year, for example, and you realize that you've said written words more than you've actually had a chance to say your own words, you start thinking of that as a kind of insane option for a human being."
After a memorably bloody turn in 1984's Nightmare on Elm Street, Depp first became a household name in 1987 when he played Officer Tom Hanson in the TV series 21 Jump Street. He later went on to have huge box office success in films like Edward Scissorhands, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
His notion on taking a step back is nothing new, either. The actor, who made an estimated $30 million in 2012, previously discussed a possible retirement to "just take it down to the bare minimum and concentrate on, I guess, living life" during a June 2013 interview with Rolling Stone.
the F–k Were You?” Rihanna is still bitter about her split with Chris Brown. The Bajan pop beauty took to Instagram to fire a few shots in Breezy’s direction this week. This is what Rihanna said: “I hate when ex’s say…’I’m here if you need me.’ Where the f–k were you when we were together and I needed you?” This latest shot came only a week after rumors started to spread like wild fire of a reunion between Rihanna and Drake. Earlier this month the “Diamonds” hitmaker posted a video of herself twerking to a verse from Drake. Rihanna is now winding down the European leg of her hugely successful Diamonds World Tour.

Insect protein farm created for anyone who can stomach eating larvae Well, we know the UN will be on board. A new project from Austrian designer Katharina Unger proposes that a home could produce a good portion of its own meat protein right in the family kitchen. It would be cheap, easy, quick, and nutritious. The only problem is that the protein source in question is the larvae of the black soldier fly. If solutions like this eventually became the only affordable source of meat protein — would you just give it up entirely? The dinner cage. Unger says that a future in which insects are the only economical choice for meat protein might not be so far-fetched. A third of our crop-lands are already used to produce animal feed, and with populations continuing to grow there will be an ever-increasing demand for meat protein that we may not be able to fill.
The black soldier fly is a truly impressive source of energy, however: the larvae are made up of as much as 42% protein and contain many essential amino acids. In fact, just 1 gram of black soldier fly eggs can turn into 2.4 kilograms of protein. Convinced yet? The system seems extremely easy to use, with just three major sections: a harvesting pot for food-ready larvae, a large mating chamber for making new larvae, and “kindergarten” area where new larvae can mature to an edible stage. Aside from recycling a few mature larvae to keep the population going, that’s pure protein for your consumption. Unger estimates one of her colonies could produce up to 500 grams of protein per week, or around two meals. While my first instinct would be to go for some sort of ground larvae solution, Unger says the best way is simply to cook them up as-is. “They smell a bit like cooked potatoes. The consistency is a bit harder on the outside and like soft meat on the inside. The taste is nutty and a bit meaty.” Her favorite recipe? Tomato-larvae pasta with Parmesan cheese.

RANDY ORTON
WWE STAR RANDY ORTON Fan Arrested After Blasting Him in the Balls A crazed WWE fan has been arrested after climbing into the ring during an event in South Africa today ... and blasting Randy Orton in the nuts, TMZ has learned. The video is pretty wild -- the fan jumps into the ring and sneaks up behind Randy while the wrestler is on the turnbuckle ... and swings his arm up between Randy’s legs. Security immediately jumps in and drags the fan away, but not before Randy attempts to kick the guy. A rep for the WWE tells TMZ, “Randy was violently attacked from behind” by the fan -- who was not part of the show ... and is now in police custody. The extent of Randy’s injuries is unclear -- we’re told docs are checking him out -but any shot to the jewels is serious in our book.

Mum faces eviction for loud sex sessions causing neighbours 'stress and sleepness nights' A neighbour recorded it for the council's special noise abatement team, who then made their own tape of her love-making. Raucous sex sessions have landed a single mum in court – leading to her being booted out of her home.
racket that has had us at the end of our tether. “There are the sexual noises – which no one wants to hear – loud music, yelling and swearing at all hours.”
Gemma Walker, 31, was recorded making “loud whoops” during the throes of passion, with “yelling” that came straight out of the Hollywood movie When Harry Met Sally. Loud music, shouting, arguing and swearing were also taped coming from her terraced home, breaching a previous noise abatement notice.
Middlesbrough Council’s Charlie Rooney said: “This behaviour is unacceptable.” Walker, who is on benefits, pleaded guilty at Teesside magistrates yesterday.
Neighbours Ian Nicholls and his wife Susan claimed they suffered stress and sleepless nights. Mr Nicholls, 56, said “It has been a nightmare ever since she moved in – shouting, swearing, listening to her having sex. It hasn’t been fun.” He recorded the sounds for Middlesbrough Council’s special noise abatement team, who then made their own tape of Walker’s lovemaking. Mr Nicholls added: “Everyone makes some degree of noise but this was much more than that. “There was what I would described as loud whoops from next door. It’s been a constant
She was fined £300 – £50 for each of the six breaches – as well as being told to pay £1,000 towards costs plus a £15 victim surcharge. But Walker today denied that she is a nuisance neighbour. From her privately rented Middlesbrough home, she said: “I wish my life was so exciting that I was having sex at all hours, but it’s not. “As far as I’m aware, there was only one instance of noisy sex. I’m a mother and wouldn’t let my children hear that sort of thing. “They stay over at my mum’s once a week and I have the girls round. “I am a loud person but I’m nothing like the woman they’ve made me out to be. “I have a private landlord and he now says he wants me to leave. “I’ve been singled out by the couple next door, no one else has complained. We have nowhere to go.”
