Three things you like about yourself and why? I am a student-athlete. I like to work hard at everything I do. I like to help others to train and become better at their sport. It makes me feel good. I enjoy meeting new people, exchanging ideas and experiences. It helps me to grow as an individual. What is your OMG moment? That was when I was back in secondary school. There was a Divali celebration. The entire school – all teachers and students – gathered. We had a fashion show but while all the models were displaying their outfits, I went on the stage and started modelling my school uniform. All the students started to boo. Then I raised my shirt and showed off my abs and all the girls started to cheer. My teachers were shocked and my principal was not amused. OMG! Stylist

I dared my friend to kick a pigeon. He did it When I was 14 years old I was walking to school with friend and on our way we found a pigeon that must have been hurt because it was just sitting there on the ground, not moving. My friend said something about kicking the pigeon and I didn’t believe he could do it. I dared him to do it but I really didn’t think he would. But then he did it. As soon as he kicked it I ran away ’cause I got so scared. Then I looked back and screamed, telling him to stop. He eventually did. I don’t think he killed it right away but the pigeon must have died later. I am SO sorry about it. I don’t know what I was thinking, it was all my fault. Today I’m in my 20 and I try really hard not to kill any insect. I even help them when they need. I don’t do it because of the pigeon but because I really feel a lot of empathy towards them (I even feel bad for killing mosquitoes that try to bite me). I am sorry.
I am currently wearing my girlfriend’s deodorant My deodorant was out this morning, so I put hers on. It smells way better than mine, and it seems to be keeping me drier. On another note, it’s much less greasy. For those of you who may be wondering: Yes, I did remove the curly man-armpit hairs from the stick after I was done applying.
I hate myself I can’t stop lying to people. It doesn’t help that my best friend already exaggerates what I can and cannot do, but rather than correct him I go along with it. This has messed with a lot of relationships in my life because I’m never honest even from the beginning. I don’t wanna lose the friends I have now. What should I do!?
Crazy in bed My husband and I have a quiet sex life. We have sex maybe once every two weeks. I want to have sex every day. But not just vanilla sex. I want extremely rough sex. A lot of the things I want – watersports, bloodplay, breathplay,sub/dom – he isn’t interested in. He doesn’t like rough sex and I get more and more unsatisfied every time we have sex. I haven’t had an orgasm that I didn’t give myself in a year and I have to choke myself until I nearly black out to do so. I’m starting to go crazy with desire but I don’t know how to deal with it.
I left my wife because I was so unhappy, but I can’t stop crying out of guilt and regret Me and my ex had been together a total of eight years. We started off great, but slowly things got worse. We had been married only seven months. I was hoping that getting married would bring back that spark but it only lasted a month or two. I’ve been so emotionally distraught over all of this. I know that leaving was the only way for me to be happy, but even with all that I still miss her. I feel like such a failure for not being able to work things out. If only my friends know all this pain that hides behind my smile. I feel trapped in my own head and it’s hard to breathe. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to stop beating myself up over this.

7 Simple Ways of Being Super Productive Are you always running up and down trying to sort out issues yet at the end of the day you feel like you still have so much you haven’t accomplished? Do you use the phrase “busy as a bee”? If you do, do you think you as productive as the bee? Do you wish the day had 30 hours instead of 24? What is time worth to you? If this is you, here a few tips you could use to ensure that you don’t feel the same way and increase your productivity. Make a time log
Write down all the time spent on all your activities every day for a whole week period. This will give you a draft of where your time goes and give you an idea of the things that are stealing your time. Identify the ways that will make you more efficient and add to your productivity.
Do not multitask; you cannot be superman
Research has shown that skipping from one task to the next more than 10 times in a day will make you dumber. When you multitask, your IQ decreases by ten points on average; five points in women and 15 points in men. Avoid switching from one job to the next because it does not work. Concentrate on a few tasks each day and work towards accomplishing them.
Avoid distractions at all costs
Emails, instant messages, texts and social sites are the common distractions encountered in work places. Avoid them completely. Let your computer stay offline, switch off your cell phone or set it to silent mode. If your work does not need the use of an Internet connection, you can switch off the connection. This will help you focus better on your job and you will be able to finish it on time.
Work at your own pace
We mostly tend to compare our progress with other peoples’ progress and get the need to compete with them. Then we want to accomplish as much or more that they have accomplished. Realise that your productivity cannot be
measured by theirs. You could have a clean desk but that does not mean that you had a very good work output. Do not let someone or something else dictate how you work. Set your own objectives and adhere to them.
Take deep breaths
Every time you find your head wandering and not focusing on a task at hand, breathe in and out. This breathing will serve as a reminder to assist you refocus on the job at hand.
Be attentive
Pay close attention to what you are doing to avoid mistakes. Open your mind, this offers something for your mind to think about and avoid wandering. Make sure that what you are thinking about relates to the task at hand. Take a rest in between jobs You are not a super power; your body needs to be recharged after one completed task before you can begin another. Find something to eat during this break too. This will provide glucose for the brain. It will also refresh your body and you won’t get tired fast.
The meaning of life: Finding your true identity Among our most important beliefs are those we hold about who we are. People have enormous capabilities beyond what’s thought to be possible. The power to tap into our tremendous potential comes from our identity: how we define ourselves, and what believe we can achieve. Identity is the strongest force in human personality. We all have a deep and abiding need to remain consistent with how we define ourselves. Any transformation you make within yourself will depend on your ability to expand this identity. By building a new, empowering set of beliefs, you can create a lasting transformation within yourself and in your life.
The Key Principles of Identity 1. Identity is the most important power that determines our actions. We will act according to our views of who we truly are—whether these views are accurate or not. 2. Once we know who we are, we must learn to be ourselves. Trying to live in a way that’s inconsistent with our true nature will create a life of frustration, stress and disappointment. We must learn to embrace our deepest needs, desires, strengths, fears, values and beliefs in order to create harmony and tap into our tremendous potential. 3. Sometimes, people maintain the illusion that their behaviour decides who they really are. Nothing could be further from the truth. We have all experienced moments of anxiety and defeat, and as a result have said or done things that don’t reflect who we are. This does not make these behaviours a part of our
identity. Rather, they are momentary lapses or unique attempts to meet our needs in the moment. 4. When you take responsibility, you restore your identity. When we create unfavourable or hostile situations, we should take action to repair any harm that we may have caused. 5. The fastest way to expand our identity is to do something that’s inconsistent with our current self-image. For example, complete a physical challenge like surfing or sky diving as a
way to shake things up. 6. Our personal identities are in a constant state of evolution. We all contain the power to reinvent ourselves and create a new, empowered identity that expands what is possible in our lives. The key is to take conscious control of the beliefs we are creating about ourselves, so they can propel us toward what we desire most.

CHANGE VS. PROGRESS: MAKING THE CHOICES THAT MOVE YOU FORWARD
5 Reasons you are bad at whatever you are doing What follows are five reasons you are bad at whatever you are doing and understanding why this is indeed the case is important if you are to ever improve. In all honesty, we are often bad at something because of us making tiny errors on a regular basis or perhaps we are just not cut out for it in the same way as some people are good at sports while others are just not as athletic. However, hopefully by reading these i’ve reasons it will give you renewed confidence in what you do.
3. We do not practice and lack concentration.
1. Failure to start with the basics.
If you find that you are becoming frustrated it will often lead to you being bad at whatever it is that you are doing because as that anger builds and the adrenaline flows around our body it leads to the job or task getting the better of us. Instead, you need to look at ways to prevent yourself from becoming so frustrated and accept that things will not always go as smoothly as you hoped and when you master your mood it should hopefully lead to things becoming a lot easier.
We are often guilty of thinking that we already know the basics of something and this then leads to us skipping reading the instructions and just getting stuck into it. The problem here is that we are often slightly deluded and misjudge our own capabilities or see it as some kind of a weakness in having to go right back to the start. However, it is essential that you read instructions or take small steps from the outset in order to build a firm foundation and the task, or job, you are doing will then become easier and you will be better at it. Get the foundation wrong and you will continue to make the same mistakes and be completely unaware that there is anything amiss leading to you failing to improve over time.
2. We rush through it without too much thought.
Following on from the idea of not starting with the basics, you will often also find that people are bad at what they are doing due to not taking their time with the job and trying to just rush through it in order to get it done. The problem here is that we will often make the same mistakes time and time again, but due to the speed at which we are doing the task we will not even notice the mistakes and carry on regardless. The key here is to slow down a bit and try not to do too much in the one day and you will see an improvement in how you handle the tasks and will be better as well.
Studies have shown that there are so many working hours lost in offices around the world due to people being easily side-tracked in a variety of ways or time wasted correcting mistakes that have come due to a lack of concentration. If your heart is not in whatever it is that you are doing it will then lead to errors not only being made, but also you missing correcting them. In order to improve our concentration we need to be focused and actually practice what we are doing. Accept that even top people in their field still practice, you only have to look at sports people, and there is no shame in it, so just do it.
4. We allow our frustrations to get the better of us.
5. We try to do something we have no real interest in.
Doing a job that you find laborious or boring will often lead to you being bad at it as you do not have the same kind of drive to complete it to the standard required and you will also care less about those small errors that creep into your work. By doing something you love, or at least have some kind of interest in, you will find that you can get better and have a willingness to learn and improve, but we need to have that desire inside us in order to make any progress. If you have no real interest in a particular type of job, then the best advice is to avoid it or if you hate golf, then avoid picking up those clubs or you will =ace an uphill struggle from the start.
One of the biggest challenges in today’s society is learning how to balance all of the different areas of our lives. A hundred years ago, life seemed simpler because people’s roles seemed more defined. Today, the world is much less predictable. The unspoken expectation is that in order to be a thriving, contributing, happy and successful member of society, we must be multidimensional at work and at home. Within our businesses, we must be able to manage and lead, create relationships with other team members, use technology to communicate, effectively manage costs, and work at lightning speed to stay ahead of the competition. Similarly, in our personal lives, we must strive to be healthy in body and spirit, while also being a generous partner, an outstanding parent, an effective financier, a romantic lover, a best friend and a community leader. We live in a world where change is the order of the day. The challenge is that we sometimes forget the
meaning of the change we’re striving to create. Change is automatic, but progress is not. We are changing as a society, but are we really progressing in all the areas that matter most? And in our own lives, are we truly making progress in all the areas that are important to us? Progress is the result of conscious choice. In making these choices, we must think beyond the moment and ask ourselves, “What will this choice ultimately create in my life? Where will it lead? Who will I become as a result?” To ensure you’re making choices that support you, you must first define the areas of life that are important to you and what you want from each one, before you create a plan for your time. Otherwise, how can you create a plan for your time if you don’t have a plan for your life? By doing this, you’ll stay focused on what you want to achieve, so you can experience true balance and efficiency. These areas are called “Categories of Improvement.” They represent the areas of your life you want to continually focus on, measure and improve. These areas are so important that if they do not improve, the quality of your life will suffer; and conversely, if they do improve, you’ll become more successful and fulfilled than you ever imagined.

7 ways you can be a better partner If you have found the man or woman of your dreams, then it is perfectly normal for you to want to become a better partner – in the end, the most difficult thing isn’t to find somebody you are compatible with, but to keep the “passion flame” burning over the years. Unfortunately, many couples fail to do that, and this happens mainly due to the lack of communication. If you want to become a better partner, this means you appreciate the presence of your significant other and you do not want to lose him or her. Having said that, here are seven ways you can be a better partner:
1. Never Rush Things
This is a common issue that can make a relationship fail even before it starts. While it is true that you must show your significant other love and compassion, you must also make sure to give him enough space and to avoid choking him with love. Remember, when you make yourself too available, the other one may simply lose interest. It is important to let things flow – do not force things, to not be pushy and do not stress him or her with your constant wish of having somebody to keep you warm at night. If it is meant to happen, it certainly will. Be natural, be yourself and go with the flow!
2. Be An Optimist – People Love Positive Mindsets!
Nobody likes a pessimist or somebody with a dark, negative mind. If this is your case as well, then try to change your attitude – everything starts from your mindset. If you are a negative person you are prone to criticism and constant attack, and your boyfriend/girlfriend will eventually get tired of that. On the other hand, if you are mature, positive and optimist and you make jokes and laugh a lot, the other one will certainly not get bored of you in the near future. The secret is to make your significant other want to spend more time around you. This is what lies at the foundation of a solid, love-filled and durable relationship or marriage. Also, don’t forget about the inside jokes that are the salt and pepper of every successful relationship!
3. Stay On The Honest Side
Lack of honesty is undoubtedly one of the most common causes of divorces and break ups nowadays, this is why you must stay honest no matter what. There’s an old saying that goes like this “If you admit your mistake, it is half forgiven
already”. In the end, keep in mind that it is a lot better if your better half finds out something directly from you, than from a “third party”. Stay true to who you are, and never forget that it is not shameful to apologize when you do something wrong! Stay honest, because regaining one’s trust once you lost it is one of the most difficult things in life.
6. Share Common Interests
4. Stay Attractive
Does he love computer games? That is perfect, as long as he does not spend hours in front of the computer. Does she love shopping? That’s perfect as well, as long as she is a loving, caring girlfriend who understands your passions. Relationships are all about compromise, never forget that!
Another common mistake many people tend to do when they enter a relationship or get married is that they simply stop paying attention to themselves: men stop going to the gym to look good, while women stop going to the salon because their significant other loves them just the way they are. This is perfectly true, but at the same time it is essential to stay attractive to the other one. There is nothing wrong with being seductive every once in a while, and this applies both to men and to women – besides, you will be amazed to see how good this can make you feel and how much it will help your selfesteem!
5. Understand Each Other’s Need For Space
Last, but not least, it is important to understand that even if you two live under the same roof, every human being feels the need to be autonomous. This need does not refer only to spending some time alone, but also to the freedom of choice every individual needs when it comes to making personal decisions.
Common interests are the “glue” of your relationship, they keep you together – the more interests you share, the better. However, if you have only a few things in common, you do not need to struggle to like your loved one’s passions or hobbies – all you need to do is to show some respect and understanding.
7. Communication Is The Key!
Communication is absolutely vital for the success of every relationship or marriage – after all, if you are unable to discuss with the one you share your bed with, with whom are you supposed to talk then? Keep an open mind and show availability when it comes to approaching a variety of topics – don’t be afraid to talk about intimate things as well.

How to save a friendship "Friends are like stars. You don't always see them but you know they are there." And while a shooting star is a beautiful thing to observe, a dying friendship is one of the most painful things to experience. However, if you believe that it's worth trying to save it, then it is worth it. So, if you're still stirred by a friendship that has given you priceless moments, unconditional love, and treasured memories, at least give saving it a chance. While problems are inevitable, if both of you see the value in saving what
Step 1
Act now. The moment you're aware that the two of you start growing apart, do something about it. Waiting will only bring about an inevitable permanency of the loss of your friendship. Be prepared to be the one who makes the initial steps; your friend may be laboring under the belief that it's something you've done to harm the friendship, so it's not worth waiting around for them to solve things.
Step 2
Do some honest analysis of the situation. Sit down and think back to where it all went wrong. Was it your fault? Was it something you said or did or didn't say or do although you should have? It is important to think about your inaction at certain points such as all those times you failed to make a call to see how your friend was, or when you missed appointments, or failed to show up at important events. Think carefully and do not make irrelevant decisions.
Step 3
If it was your fault, apologize. Briefly explain your side of the story and avoid making excuses or shifting the blame. By taking responsibility for your part in damaging the friendship, you prove that your desire to keep your friend is more important than your pride or sense of self-righteousness.
Step 4
Talk, talk, talk. If you can't seem to find the reason for the growing interpersonal distance between you and your friend, suggest that the two of you simply talk. Tell your friend that you're sad that things don't seem to be that great between the two of you anymore and that you'd really like to work out whether it might be possible to restore the friendship you had in the past. Your willingness to work through the issues will be appreciated, especially if you make it clear that you're totally open to hearing their side of the story. Whatever you do..DO NOT lash out and become angry upset or make your friend upset. This will make the barrier between you bigger and it will evidently
be harder to get her/him back. Try not to interrupt your friend while explaining their side of the story. Instead, listen attentively.
Step 5
Listen to your friend. If a third party has been telling different stories to both of you to cause conflicts, listening to your friend is the best way to spot it. Ask who told them that if you hear that you said something you'd never say in a million years. It's amazing how fast a third party liar's mind games blow up in their face once the victims compare notes. So even if someone is trying to avoid you, ask why and be prepared to listen no matter what your friend says.
Step 6
Make a decision as to the worth of disputing points about your behavior or issues that have arisen in the friendship. If your friend has the wrong end of the stick and has misunderstood things that you've said or done (or not done), then by all means clarify what you believe to be the case. However, do not be argumentative or confrontational, as this will cause your friend to feel defensive and it will simply speed up the end of the friendship. Try not to expect the friendship to fix itself. You must try yourself to break the barrier between you and get along. Be patient, explain clearly how you see the situation and give your interpretation of past events without judging or defensiveness. For example: Your friend might accuse you of never being there during important events in the opening of their new business over the past year. They might say that it got to the point that every time he or she asked you to help out, you seemed too busy or disinterested in their new venture even though at first you had been very supportive. You might reply that you accept it was
HOW
TO’S
you have, focusing on fixing things may just be effective, and your bond may even come through this trial better and stronger than before.
wrong of you to never be available to talk things through. You might also outline what happened to prevent you from being the close friend of former times. For example, perhaps you had to take care of a sick child or spouse, all the while trying to hold down your job with its unforgiving deadlines. Provide factual explanations of why you weren't as engaged with your friendship as you could have been rather than offering excuses - the truth is important. And don't seek sympathy or pity but do clarify why you were not able to be there for your friend.
Step 7
Acknowledge your differences. Your friend might be footloose and fancy free while you're a dad to three kids. As life changes around us, friendships change too. However, this doesn't mean that you lack that vital connection that sparked the friendship in the first place and shifts in your working, personal, and lifestyle doesn't have to undermine your friendship. Talking openly about the changes is important, as well as accepting that the two of you have different
that if you have changed, you certainly don't expect your friend to change. Resurrect some things that the two of you can still enjoy doing together. For example, set aside a regular night, afternoon, or day when the two of you meet up to spend time together doing the things you both enjoy such as seeing a movie, sitting in a cafe, playing a sport, etc.
Step 8
Avoid being naive. While you may want to rescue the friendship, be alert for signs that your friend is deliberately seeking to end it. Given that this is an unthinkable prospect in a previously loving, and caring connection, only resort to believing this is a possibility if the signs make it extremely obvious, for example, if your friend goes out of their way to avoid you, or stops answering your calls, or can never be found by you but mutual friends don't seem to have this problem, it's possible that your friend is trying to end things. If this is the case, try to revive things but don't beat yourself up if it fails because it's not your fault and the other person has made a choice that you can't change.
Step 9
Find a compromise. Assuming your friend has talked and listened, and both of you have cleared the air, look for ways that you can reach compromises on the things that have undermined your friendship to this point and look for ways to set the relationship back on track. If you mean as much to this person as they mean to you, through mutual compromising in the end you will have at least made some progress in the right direction.
Step 10
trajectories but still have space, love, and respect for one another in your lives. If your friend has distanced from you because of changes in your lives, take the opportunity to reassure each other that while life has changed, the importance of your friendship has not. And acknowledge
Show willingness to strengthen your friendship and to avoid growing apart ever again. Once you have worked through the challenges facing your friendship and come to a shared solution, show your friend how much they mean to you. Start creating new memories and precious moments that will make the unpleasant page in your common history look insignificant and never worth mentioning again.

The Mixtape, ''SIGHT'' is a metaphorical representation of the different views that people don't see and is inspired by his everyday struggle of living in a poor, crime stricken area and the ''fight'' against the ''system'' to get out. Songs to look out for are: ''BIBLE ON THE DASH'', a song talking about the struggles from the judgment by others for trying to be unique, and, ''BLOOD ON THE LEAVES'' a description of his perspective on the enslaved mentality of modern day people. You can look out for his mixtape on Facebook @Jai Adams Perspective, on Youtube @jaseem adams or follow him on Twitter @jaidams

10 Questions to ask before committing to a business partner BY LISA GIRARD
Like a marriage, a business partnership often begins with enthusiasm and high expectations -- only to end in acrimony and legal proceedings. It's important to know as much as possible about a potential partner, including how his or her finances and family life may affect the business, before signing on the dotted line. Here are some questions to ask before deciding if partnering is a good idea:
1. What do I need from a business partner?
You should look for a business partner who brings something different to the table than you do. If you're creative, maybe you need a more detail-oriented partner. If you have money to invest in the business, you may want to look for a partner with access to a market, or with great connections. Or if you're shy, you might need a good "people person" to balance the equation. "If they're similar to you, it might be more comfortable, but it may not be what you need," says William M. Moore, founder of the Moore Firm in San Diego, a law firm that serves entrepreneurs. "You need someone who complements your skills and personality."
2. What is your potential partner's financial situation?
It is important to have an understanding of someone's financial status and commitments before getting into a venture together. "It is tough to ask what they are currently spending on a house or in payments to an ex-spouse, but someone's prior financial commitments shape the decisions they will make in the short term," says Gregory Kratofil, an attorney and shareholder with the law firm Polsinelli Shughart in Kansas City who specialises in small business interests. "If he has large outstanding obligations, but says he can get by on $35,000 salary, it is a red flag."
3. What are the potential partner's expectations on the time involved?
5. Is there something in your potential partner's family life that might make the business a secondary interest? If your potential partner has a pregnant wife or is taking care of an elderly parent, he may be distracted from the business. That's why you have to be brutally honest when thinking of forming a partnership. "The partner can say, 'My wife is behind me 100 percent.' But I want to talk to the wife," Phibbs says. "If they're too distracted by a family issue or their family isn't behind them, the business may be doomed from the start."
6. How would he or she handle a tough situation?
It's important to know what your potential business partner will do if he has his back up against the wall -- and it will happen, Phibbs says. The best way to discover this is to look at what he's done in past =business ventures. If he couldn't meet payroll, for example: Did he do =the right thing and dip into savings or borrow from a credit card or a =friend? Or did he pay employees late, or not at all? Or worse, did he =skip paying payroll taxes? It all comes down to character issue, Phibbs =says, adding, "Payroll taxes are a federal obligation. If that's =negotiable, you can bet your partnership is also negotiable."
7. What questions do they have for me?
Partners don't have to spend the same amount of time, but it is important that they are on the same page as to each other's expected time commitments. How many hours a day does your partner expect to put into the venture, and do his expectations meet yours? "It is equally important to level set your partner's expectations on your time commitments," Kratofil says. "The age old adage that it's better to underpromise and over-deliver applies here."
If a potential employee doesn't ask any questions in a job interview, you might be less likely to hire him because of a perceived lack of interest. The same applies to a potential business partner, who should want to know about your character, reliability and expectations. "I want them to ask me the same tough questions I ask them. If they say it =doesn't really matter, it could mean two things: their expectations are =too high or they might be kind of flighty," Phibbs says. "Things may be fine now, but in a month or two, they may want to change things or even get out of the deal."
4. Is your potential partner's commitment to the business as strong as yours?
8. What is the potential partner's standing in the community?
"I don't care if it's a coffee house or a design firm, the business partner's commitment has to equal yours," says Bob Phibbs, consultant and CEO of The Retail Doctor, a website that provides information to small and medium-sized businesses. A partnership -- especially one between friends -- can start off with fun and excitement, but within a short =time, the slog of every day catches up with you. If they're not as committed to the business as you, they may lose their enthusiasm and may actually be damaging the brand every time you open your doors.
A lot of people seem good at first, but that may be their skill -- seeming good at first, Moore says. Once they get their foot in the door, it may be difficult to get them out. Talk to former employees to see what they were like to work with, or for. If you're looking for someone with money connections, verify that they have money. If they say they have great connections, see if those connections go beyond just being recognised and given a slap on the back. "A business partnership is not a marriage, but there should be some sort of courtship process that you can verify that they are who they say they are," Moore says.
9. Are they willing to put everything in writing?
Many partnerships are cemented with a handshake, but this can be a recipe for disaster. It's crucial to put it on paper -- not only what is expected of each partner, but the consequences if expectations aren't met. "There's something about actually putting it in writing that exposes the potential problem areas in the partnership," Moore says. If someone has a family emergency and disappears the first six months of the business -- even though it may not be through any fault of his own -- are you still expected to give that person a certain percentage of the business? "If someone simply isn't pulling his or her weight, you need to be able to get them out without destroying the business," he adds. "And if it's in writing, there's no arguing it."
10. Do I really need a partner?
If you can get someone to do something without giving them a stake in your business, it's always better, Moore says. People get wrapped up in the idea of needing to work with someone, but it's not always a good idea. Sometimes you need somebody to show up from 9-5, work hard and go home, he says, adding. "If you're cash poor, or it's a startup and you don't expect to make money right away, taking on a partner might be the better option. But if you can just pay somebody to show up and work, t's generally a better option than giving them a stake in the company." And now a bonus question....
What happens if we can't work it out?
Most people don't envision the rough times ahead for a new venture, so this question is probably the hardest to remember to ask and the beginning. Yet, the best time to address potential problems with your partner is at the beginning before emotions run high. "You can't predict every potential problem, but a good startup lawyer can help you work through some of the common problems and put a framework in place to help address unforeseen circumstances," Kratofil says

The importance of being confident:
3 tips to start-up success BY MIKE JONES
At Science, we are fortunate enough to meet hundreds of entrepreneurs each year. And as you might imagine, we sit through a lot of early-stage pitches -- some good, most‌ horrible. There's no doubt that confidence is often key -- but maybe not for the reasons you expect. Although I've met many great entrepreneurs who lack external confidence and a great many lesser entrepreneurs who have confidence in spades, I can say without a doubt that the confident entrepreneurs often walk away with funding. It doesn't mean their businesses are better or their skills superior. Rather, it simply means that they are confident selling themselves and their vision. When you invest in someone with confidence, you're investing in someone who can typically get investors on her side and sell her vision to the staff. Importantly, that entrepreneur will likely also have a better chance of selling the business to a buyer in the future. The best example of this is an entrepreneur who I met in Los Angeles right after raised a very early, very big $10 million round before the company was started. Over drinks with his new investor, the entrepreneur boasted about having lost venture investors more than $100 million in the past five years, and once again he couldn't believe that someone just gave him $10 million. I pulled the new investor aside and asked if he was crazy, considering the start-up's track record of losses. He said he was confident in the entrepreneur's abilities in this business. Within two years, the entrepreneur sold that company, raised more money and started another. I cannot attest to the quality of his businesses, but I can speak to his high level of confidence and the fact that he seems to be on point.
So with that in mind, here are a few tried and true tips for ensuring the room reads your confidence: 1. Commit yourself.
There is nothing more compelling than an entrepreneur that is going to execute her dream regardless of funding. While this sounds like an impossible feat for some, the most driven entrepreneurs I've met are committed to seeing their dream through no matter what. They won't let a lack of money stand in their way.
2. Be genuine.
I tend to hear pitches that are tailored to what the entrepreneur thinks the market, the investor or I want to hear. If you're going after a need that you feel personally and have intimate experience with, that alone is often a signal toward success. Out of Science's ten deals last year, the one with the most activity was around a business that had started in the entrepreneur's home. He built the company himself, and we partnered with him to scale it up. When I asked the venture capitalists that would later fund the company why they were so excited about that deal in particular, they referenced the entrepreneur's personal experience of building the business to fit his need and his drive to do it regardless of the money.
3. Know thyself.
As investors and advisors, we realise no single person embodies all the skills necessary to take a business from start-up to scale. But the one skill we can count on is self- assessment. If you have an entrepreneur that realises what they are and aren't good at, it signals someone whose goal is not to centralise power and operational responsibility underneath themselves. This is someone who understands their own weak spots and is open to hiring for those positions.
At the end of the day, the goal needs to go before the role. You may not be the right CEO in the long run, but, if you can admit your weaknesses and get people smarter than you in those other roles, you will have a much higher chance of

Stephen Doobal | Story Amelia C. Ramjarrie
Team OMG was delighted to meet up with female calypso legend and icon Lady Denyse Plummer. She was gracious, bubbling with passion for her craft and grateful for life and the many blessings it has brought her. For those of you who do not know the story, in 1986 Trinidad and Tobago welcomed Denyse to the calypso arena. It was the first time she performed on a calypso stage. The venue was Skinner Park in San Fernando. The event was the Calypso Fiesta semi-finals. She described it as a horrendous experience as she came up against both sexist and racist barriers. At that time there were only about 12 women calypsonians and she was the first “white” woman singing calypso. She says, “My first performance wasn’t accepted, which wasn’t because of my vocal ability but because of my skin colour.” As they say, when life gives you lemons make lemonade. The experience which would have made many of us pack our bags and never set foot on a calypso stage again made this little dynamo even more determined to stand up and be heard. The publicity for Ms Plummer, whether people disliked her or not, made her an instant household name. She used this to fuel her ambitions and press on to overcome the challenges of being a “white” female calypsonian. Denyse’s tenacity and determination to prove her Trinbagonianness to the naysayers was one of the reasons she never lost her passion for calypso. In 1987, she joined Kitchener’s Revue calypso tent and by 1988, just two years after her baptism of fire, Denyse became the National Calypso Queen and
repeated this achievement for the following three years. In addition, she was crowned the Calypso Queen of the World four times (1989-1992) and was the first female calypsonian to win the Young Kings Competition. In 2001, Plummer accomplished one of her greatest feats to date with her captivating and lyrical calypsoes “Nah Leaving” and “Heroes”. She won both the National Calypso Monarch and the National Calypso Queen titles. In 2011 she was a recipient of the Humming Bird Medal – Gold, for her contribution to culture. Anyone anxious for more music from this prodigious icon of the calypso art form would be pleased to know that she will be releasing a Christmas album featuring her amazing vocal skills. She is also working on two “groovy” songs which she intends to release for Carnival 2014. Thus, she has no time to linger. She is busy working in the studio to capture her vision for her songs and when she isn’t doing that she’s promoting her work and her beloved T&T. However, when she abandons her hectic lifestyle for a getaway, she loves to be at the beach. The sea, sun and sand entice her with their serenity and purity. Denyse describes the beach as a place where she can see God, for just looking at those things and their beauty makes you realise that there really is a God. She hopes that many of us can see how precious this beautiful slice of the planet is and says we must know that many people from around the world save for their entire lives, until they are old, to just come and spend a week or two here, to touch our sand and breathe our air. We have it every day of our lives, she notes, so we must look around and see how lucky we are. Love yourself, love your neighbour and love this beautiful home we have been blessed with and we all will live bountiful lives. Ms Plummer said her OMG moment was that first time she performed at Skinner Park, at Calypso Fiesta. She was met by an angry crowd of 15,000 who were prepped to get her off the stage by throwing stuff, from toilet paper rolls to fruits, at her during her two performes. It truly was an OMG moment.

5 Simple ways to never have cavities Cavities aren’t only painful, they can also be extremely expensive to fix! Dentists charge hundreds of dollars for fillings, and root canals cost even more than this. So, if you want to avoid all of the frustration and expense that comes along with these, then you need to take great care of your teeth. Fortunately there are five ways you can avoid cavities, which can result in having beautiful teeth that your dentist congratulates you on each time you visit. 1. Brush Your Teeth
This might be obvious, but a lot of people don’t brush their teeth enough. This is responsible for getting rid of food particles from your teeth, but it also gets rid of a lot of cavitycausing bacteria. In addition to this, brushing will get rid of plaque and acids that can eat the enamel on your teeth. Brush your teeth twice per day and after you eat something that’s especially sugary. Also make sure you clean your tongue, as a lot of bacteria can latch onto the surface of it. When you do brush, use a brush that is comfortable and make sure you continue for at least two minutes. You can divide this by thirty seconds for each section of your mouth, which will make sure you hit all areas adequately. Another way to avoid cavities is by not brushing too hard, as this can damage the enamel on your teeth and make them more prone to bacteria and cavities.
2. Use Fluoride
You probably use fluoride when at the dentist, but a lot of people don’t use this while at home. This is actually great for fighting cavities, as it protects your teeth and even makes them a lot stronger. When you rinse with this it will get rid of the bacteria and sugars in your mouth that get into your teeth and gums to cause cavities. Fortunately fluoride can be found in tap water, but it’s also easily found in a variety of mouthwash products.
3. Floss!
A lot of people avoid flossing because they think it takes too much time, but unfortunately this is one of the biggest causes
of cavities for most people. Your toothbrush can only clean so much of your teeth, which is why flossing is so important. This gets the crevices in between your teeth that the bristles just can’t get to. Once you push that floss in, you will be getting 40% of your tooth clean that your toothbrush wasn’t able to. Remember, even if you don’t see food particles come out with floss, you will be getting out bacteria and other things that cause cavities.
4. Diet
What you eat has a lot to do with the cavities that you develop. For example, a diet full of chewy, sticky and sugary foods is going to lead to cavities because it allows sugars to get into the mouth more frequently. Bacteria thrive on sugars and will rapidly eat away at your teeth with the more it has available. By cutting down on the sugar you consume you will be starving that bacteria of what it thrives on, which means you will be less likely to develop cavities! Try to eat more raw vegetables and sugar-free foods on a regular basis. If you are going to eat something sugary, then avoid foods that are gooey, chewy or sticky, as these are the worst for your teeth. Also make sure you brush your teeth right after so you don’t allow the bacteria to feed on the sugar for long.
5. Regular Dentist Visits
Visiting your dentist for regular checkups might be a pain, but it’s definitely well worth it. These visits will allow your dentist to see how well you are cleaning your teeth so that they can give you advice and guidance. During this appointment your
teeth will also be deep cleaned, which will get rid of bacteria and build-up that you might have missed with daily dental care. Dentists have tools that you don’t have and they are able to get a better view, which means their cleaning is going to be a lot more thorough than one you could do. Regular deep cleanings will keep out much of the bacteria that cause cavities, but it will also get rid of plaque and other build-up that you don’t want in your mouth!

Alarming signs you are unhealthy
DWe are often guilty of believing that we are a picture of fine health as we have no real signs that anything untoward is going on inside our body. However, this does not have to be true as there are actually a number of indications that we tend to ignore that are actually telling us that something is not right. Failure to pay attention to them will of course tend to lead to things getting worse, so what follows are seven signs you are unhealthy in the hope that they may stop further problems from occurring. 1. You find that your lips crack.
It may sound like something that just happens due to the weather, but cracked lips, especially at the corners, can actually show that you have a vitamin B12 deficiency. A lack of this vitamin in your system can lead to health issues such as anaemia and it will affect your blood, so look at either buying a supplement to boost the levels, eat foods that are high in it, or consult your doctor to get a special injection that really will make a difference to your health.
2. You are not as tall as you used to be.
This may sound strange, but as we get older there is a tendency for us to shrink, but the rate at which this happens can indicate that there is some kind of issue with our bones and in particular with us developing osteoporosis. The problem with this bone disease is that it then means we are more likely to fracture a bone when we fall or develop curvature of the spine, so early diagnosis will allow you to make changes to your diet that can stop it from progressively getting worse.
3. You pick up more than your fair share of colds.
If you seem to be more prone to picking up colds it may indicate that you need to boost your immune system or there may be some kind of issue with it. You may be lacking in Vitamin C or there could even be a virus attacking it that you are unaware of, so get a blood test carried out that can check if there is anything to be concerned about and try to improve your general health to give it that natural boost.
4. Your urine is too yellow.
It is important that you pay attention to the colour of your urine as this can actually be a fantastic indicator about your general health. If you are hydrated your urine should be almost clear, but if you are drinking enough and it is still a dark yellow it may indicate that there is an issue with your kidneys and the waste is not being processed correctly. Look at upping your fluid intake and see if it helps, but only drink water, and if it stays the same get your kidney function checked.
5. Your skin acts up continuously.
If you find that you develop acne, eczema, or any other skin disorder on a regular basis then it can mean more than you are simply not taking care of the skin or using the correct products. Instead, it could be the result of an allergic reaction or it may be your body telling you that it is stressed and needs you to slow down. Your skin is the biggest single organ in your body, so listen to what it is telling you as your body often uses it to put out a cry for help and it offers up signs that all is not well and you are not as healthy as you thought you were.
6. You are not sleeping like normal.
If you find that your sleep pattern is disturbed and you are suffering from some form of insomnia it does tend to point towards your body and mind being too stressed. When we sleep, our body is supposed to lower the amount of cortisol coursing through it, but when we are stressed =this does not happen and we are thrown out of sync. When this happens our body struggles to repair itself and recharge its batteries leading to us gradually being run down and when this happens we can pick up all kinds of illnesses due to our immune system not operating at full capacity.
7. You are tired, but sleep enough.
If you are getting more than enough sleep, but still find that you are tired in the afternoon, then it may indicate that there is a problem with your thyroid. The problem here is that your adrenal glands are being exhausted leading to your body using up all of its energy early on without it being replaced in the proper manner. This problem can then lead to your body being run down as it is working so hard trying to protect you from the different kinds of toxins that you can pick up during the day from the environment as well as things you are doing. When this happens it leaves you open to other potential health problems, so get your thyroid checked.
Passion Fruit
The many health benefits
Delicious, passion fruit is rich source of antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and fiber. 100 g fruit contains about 97 calories. The fruit is a very good source of dietary fiber. 100 g fruit pulp contains 10.4 g or 27% of fiber. Good fiber in the diet helps remove cholesterol from the body. In addition dietary insoluble fiber by acting as a bulk laxative helps protect the colon mucous membrane by decreasing exposure time to toxic substances in the colon as well as binding to cancer-causing chemicals in the colon. Passion fruit is good in vitamin C, providing about 30 mg per 100 g. Vitamin-C (ascorbic acid) is a powerful water soluble anti-oxidant. Consumption of fruits rich in vitamin C helps the body develop resistance against flu-like infectious agents and scavenge harmful, pro-inflammatory free radicals. The fruit contains very good levels of vitamin-A (provides about 1274 IU per 100 g), and flavonoid antioxidants such as β-carotene and cryptoxanthin-β. Current research studies suggest that these compounds have antioxidant properties, and along with vitamin A are essential for good eye-sight. Vitamin A is also required maintaining healthy mucus mem-
branes and skin. Consumption of natural fruits rich in vitamin-A, and flavonoids helps to protect from lung and oral cavity cancers. Fresh granadilla is very rich in potassium. 100 g fruit pulp has about 348 mg of potassium. Potassium is an important component of cells and body fluids, and helps regulate heart rate and blood pressure. Furthermore, granadilla is a very good source of minerals. Iron, copper, magnesium and phosphorus are present in adequate amounts in the fruit.

Thandiwe Prescott 18, Lopinot
Interview Stephen Doobal | Story Amelia C. Ramjarrie
Thandiwe specializes in the sport of jump rope. Many would know her as a member of the national jump rope championship team. Thandiwe’s name comes from South Africa. It means “the loved one.” The meaning of the name coincides with how people view her, they love her. She has kidnapped their hearts by showcasing her jump rope skills. In 2006, Thandiwe went to South Africa where she participated in the Jump Rope Championships. Following the competition she also entered the Florida Jump Rope Championship. How was she able to jump to excellence regarding the sport? It all occurred at Morvant Government School where she was a student. One day a group, “Jump Rope for the Heart”, introduced the jump rope sport in the school. She gladly joined the team, where she grew and developed her skills. The group eventually was at the top of their game and was confident enough to enter a jump rope competition. They had all reason to be confident as they won the competition. The prize was a trip to Florida, where they promoted a healthy lifestyle via the sport of jump rope. She says, “In Florida we met people who were acquainted with the sport and who were impressed with our jump roping. They invited us to a workshop in British Virgin Islands. After the workshop, they invited us to compete in the Olympic Championship in South Africa. Thandiwe says these experiences have influenced the plans she has for the future. She plans on starting her own club to empower persons who are interested in the sport to have a place where they can execute their abilities. She would also like to develop a fitness programme utilizing jump rope and in turn push the sport so it can get more recognition. Thandwi’ s OMG moment came when she went to South Africa. When they were introducing each other to some natives. “When I said that my name was Thandwi, the South Africans were angered that I possessed that name and I wasn’t a native.”

The film is India’s first war comedy directed by Faraz Haider, who has assisted Dibakar Banerjee before. Filmmakers in India have done quite a few experiments and many of them have worked as well. When Go Goa Gone which was India’s first ZomCom as the makers called it was about to release, many people were sceptical about the movie. But when it released, everyone who saw the film was left awestruck. Now we hear that yet another experiment called War Chhod Na Yaar is on its way. War Chhod Na Yaar
John Abraham
is India’s first war comedy which is directed by Faraz Haider, who had earlier assisted Dibakar Banerjee in Oye Lucky Lucky Oye. This film is Faraz Haider’s maiden venture and he’s leaving no stone unturned in making the film as authentic as possible. A major portion of the film is shot in the deserts of Rajasthan so that the viewer can be as close to a war-like zone as possible. He says, “We did not want to shoot in a studio or recreate a set because I wanted to keep it really authentic.” He adds, “War Chhod Na Yaar is a comic-satire shown through the prism of war. The movie has handled a subject as serious as war with the weapon of humor.” The film will have Sharman Joshi, Soha Ali Khan and Jaaved Jaaferi in lead roles. Whether this experiment will work or no is still yet to be seen. All we can say is that we are really excited about this movie. Are you?

Chitrangda Singh
Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor to fight over Chitrangda Singh! by Prathamesh Jadhav for bollywoodlife.com
Yes, the two veteran actors who were seen together in Ajooba almost two decades back will now confront each other for loving the same girl
Amitabh Bachchan
If Amitabh Bachchan is the undoubted king of acting in B-town, Rishi Kapoor can certainly be called the prince of Big B’s era who charmed cine goers with his equally commendable acting chops and his charming presence. In fact, in this age and day if Bachchan continues to be the Shahenshah of Bollywood, Rishi Kapoor continues to stun us with his remarkable performances and his choice of roles. The last film in which the two have worked together was Ajooba (1991). And now the biggies will reunite after
two decades for Sudhir Mishra’s Mehrunissa. A little birdie has chirped that the plot will revolve around Rishi and Big B who play two friends, one a Muslim and the other a Hindu, who fall out because they are in love with the same girl. The plot takes an interesting twist when they meet 25 years later and the bone of contention is the love of their life! The two actors will project the friction between the two people, two friends who know one another so well that they can remain bonded even without talking for so many years. Interestingly, ethereal beauty Chitrangda Singh plays the girl they both love. But most of her scenes would be with the actors who play the young Big B and Rishi.

Vishana Gajadhar 19, PIARCO
Vishana Gajadhar is from Piarco. She’s only 19 years of age but has already managed to make waves in the sea of success, in the field of art. Often the dreams of the most of society would be to become a pilot or a doctor, in essence a person who holds a high, prestigious job. According to US businessman Charles M. Schwab, the hardest struggle of all is to be something different from what the average man is. Vishana has overcome that struggle. She wanted to create a picture. Vishana’s artistic journey began at elementary school. Her teacher detected her talent and encouraged her to draw. Vishana said that he would always encourage her to express her talent and throughout her life she used art as her medium for expressing herself and became more passionate about it. She would often give more attention to art than her other studies. She was keen to produce masterpieces and many recognised them as just that. In form one at Lakshmi Girls High School, she entered her first competition. Radio station 106.1 FM had an Easter drawing competition. She awed the judges and won. The next year, the same radio station had a Divali painting contest at the Nagar. She won that too. Another resounding moment for Vishana was in 2012, when she won the 90.5 FM competition. The Ministry of Legal Affairs also awarded her with the prize for the ‘Most Innovative ’ work. A wise man once said, ‘Man is only truly great when he acts from his passions.’ Vishana is destined for greatness. The other step she is taking to act on her passion is obtaining her visual arts degree at the University of the West Indies. After all it’s Vishana who told us at OMG magazine, ‘My whole life is art. I can’t sleep without doing a piece.’ As mentioned before she won the competition held by 90.5 fm. She said the moment she won was her OMG moment. It was an overwhelming experience for her because she could hear her family screaming, an indication of how proud they were of her. She even recollected all the people who doubted that her flying sail boat kite even had the ability to fly. Vishana said the looks on their faces when it soared into the air was priceless.

RAPPER - Drake
Drake Has Some Important Things to Say About Amanda Bynes About 3 Months Too Late
Baby 'bursts into flames for fourth time' in India Rahul, the three-monthold, who has reportedly burst into flames four times since he was born. A THREE-MONTH-OLD boy has reportedly burst into flames four times during his young life as doctors order tests to work out if it is due to his sweat. IBN reports that the boy may be suffering from Spontaneous Human Combustion (SHC) that may be resulting from gases being excreted from his skin. The website claims Rahul first caught fire at 9 days old in his village of Tindivanam in India. Dr Thenmozhi, Assistant Professor in Paediatrics Department, Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital said this was the first time that he has come across such a case.
"It's a very rare case, it can occur in any age group. It is the spontaneous explosion of burning material from the sweat. It's a serious case. In the past cases, those who happened to be with the person who had this disorder have died," he said. "Severe precautions need to be taken. In my experience, this is the first time I've seen such a case. And unfortunately, there is no special cure and it has to be treated like a regular burn injury." But the SHC story has some critics doubting its authenticity. "SHC is a hoax theory. A baby catching fire spontaneously is not possible," burns specialist at Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital, Dr J Jagan Mohan, told the Times of India. "Alcoholics have a very small percentage of alcohol secreted in their sweat but even that wouldn't generate a fire." Doctors had recommended a series of sweat, urine and blood tests to check whether Rahul has inflammable substance in his samples.
So it's Drake! Talking about Amanda Bynes! It happened, guys, and it happened for real, and hey -- better late than never, right? Here's what he said:
"I don't even know who is doing that or what that's about. If that is her, I guess it's a little weird and disturbing. It’s obviously a behavioral pattern that is way bigger than me. Whoever is behind it, whether it’s her or somebody else, they know people are paying attention so they keep it going." Kind of an afterthought, don't you think? Drake didn't "even know who [was] doing that," and hey -he thinks that it's weird and disturbing, her fixation on him anyway (Note: Everybody else does, too, but not for the reason that Drake thinks, y'all). But who can really blame Drake for acting all aloof, though, seriously -- it's probably a byproduct of being called "ugly" and being told all the time that you have Down's Syndrome when you really don't. Makes you question a lot of things, to be sure. Keep your trap closed, Drake. Man.

NEW MUSIC: LADY GAGA – ‘APPLAUSE’ Gaga is back! Mother Monster surprises her Little Monsters and drops her new single a week early. To avoid leaks (a la Katy Perry), the pop superstar called for a “pop music emergency” and released “Applause,” the first single off her upcoming album ARTPOP. The dance floor-ready anthem, which she co-wrote with DJ White Shadow, features a pounding beat and catchy chorus. “Put your hands up, make ‘em touch,” she sings. Despite the sad cover artwork, the song is upbeat. “I’ll tell you that it is very fun,” Gaga told Women’s Wear Daily. “And that it’s full of happiness, because what I’m saying in the song essentially is
that I live for the applause. I live for the way you cheer and scream for me.” She will perform “Applause” at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on August 25, while ARTPOP arrives November 11. What do you think of Gaga’s new single? Listen and weigh in below.

Kanye West bought two $1 million dollar, bomb proof armored SUV’s If you’re Kanye West, you have to protect baby North West by any means necessary, even if that requires you to plop down $2,000,000 bucks on two heavily armored SUV’s.
So why the need for the extra secure vehicles? Because of crazies who just can’t leave Kanye and Kim alone. Duh. “Kanye is fully aware that his new family is so high-profile they attract the attention of weirdos and psychopaths,” said the source. “He aims to leave nothing to chance.
Kanye, who’s been dealing with on again, off again problems with the paparazzi in recent weeks apparently wanted to make a statement and did so by purchasing two Dartz Prombron armored SUV’s from Latvia.
“His priority is to get delivery of the vehicles, especially Kim’s, before he begins his US tour in October.” As if the armored trucks weren’t enough, there will be two full time bodyguards employed to stay with the truck. Classy.
While one of the rides is a ‘cheaper’ version (only about $800K or so) the more expensive of the two, the ‘Prombron Iron Diamond’ model (valued approximately at $1.2 million) is able to withstand attacks from landmines and rocket-propelled grenades, because that’s exactly what you need driving around the streets of Calabasas, California. You never know why you might run into the “Bieber”. The ‘cheaper’ version is essentially a spiced up version of what the President of the United States rolls around in.
Kanye West
On the plus side, being the good husband he is, West has requested Dartz to expedite the shipping of the vehicles so baby momma Kim Kardashian can have one before Yeezus begins his US tour this October.
Google Glass expected to retail for $299 At $1,500, Google Glass was never intended to be a gadget that was a runaway success with consumers from day one. It was meant for the tech elite and early adopters who wanted a sneak peak at Google’s plans for the future. By the time Google Glass hits retail shelves, however, its expected $299 price tag could make it a hit with consumers. $299 isn’t a figure Google has confirmed, of course. It’s what at least one tech researcher expects Glass to sell for based on industry insider information — and a bit of common sense. Probably the most expensive component in Google Glass is its display, which adds around $35 to the bill of materials and is made by Himax Technologies. Google recently made a big investment in the company, no doubt to help secure its supply chain for future projects like the consumer version of Glass. Other parts aren’t exactly pricey. In its current form, Glass uses almost the exact same components as the two-anda-half-year-old Droid Bionic or the Motoactv smartwatch. The Motoactv now sells for $199, and that includes some profit for Motorola. Its actual cost is probably more in the $100-150 range, and it’s hard to imagine the extra bits needed to turn the Motoactv into Google Glass adding more than $100 to that tally. Even with a beefier battery, bone induction speaker, and the Himax display, it should be relatively easy for Google to retail Glass for $299 by the time it’s deemed ready for general consumption. Component prices are only going to continue dropping, after all, and Google and Asus already managed to sell the 32GB Nexus 7 with HSPA for $299.

The future has arrived:
New Zealand approves permit for jet pack We could all be flying around on jet packs sometime soon -- we just have to pony up $150,000 (£97,000). New Zealand and Australian media reported on 13 August that New Zealand's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has granted approval to the Martin Aircraft Company for an "Experimental Flight Permit," which could pave the way for broad commercial sales. "The test flying was subject to strict limitations covering required safety procedures," the CAA said, according to TVNZ. "Other restrictions included that it may not be flown more than 20 feet (six metres) above the ground or 25 feet (7.6 metres) above water and is limited to two specific test flight areas over uninhabited land." The Martin Jetpack first debuted its original model in 2008, and at least one Ars Technica forum reader found it in 2010.
Chris Brown Says He’s Quitting Music. Will He Actually Follow Through? The nation held its breath in quiet hope Tuesday morning as Chris Brown announced that he was “probably” quitting music after the release of his forthcoming album X. (The reason, as always, was the haters, specifically
Although not technically a "jet pack," the company's latest P12 model is a vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, which uses two ducted fans to provide lift and a 2.0 litre V4 piston 200-horsepower gasoline engine. It's designed to reach a maximum altitude of 1.5 kilometres and reach a cruising speed of 56 kilometres per hour. "It's essentially a motorbike in the sky, so I imagine anyone who has a snowmobile or a jet ski, this is going to be something they're going to want in their garage," CEO Peter Coker told the New Zealand Herald.

those in “mainstream America.”) But will Brown ever make good on his promise? Let’s check in on the histories of other artists who promised to quit the music industry recently. Did any of them ever actually leave the game behind for good?
Saints Row IV has a $1 million special edition, includes plastic surgery By now, we’ve come to expect video game releases to have some sort of collector’s edition. Lesser known games have amusing bundles in order to drum up interest, while the more mainstream titles have massive collector’s editions that can reach above and beyond $200 — more than twice the price of a new retail game. Saints Row IV looks to be the most ridiculous entry into the series yet, and a ridiculous game deserves a ridiculous bundle. SRIV is so ridiculous, in fact, that one of the collector’s editions will be worth a million bucks. The bundle is called the Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition. It includes the Commander in Chief edition of the game (which you get if you pre-order the title), which gives you a stars and stripes America-themed outfit and
some wacky America-themed weapons. Along with that, you’ll get a full-size replica of the game’s Dubstep Gun, a shopping spree with a personal shopper, seven nights for two at The Jefferson Hotel in Washington, and seven nights for two at the Burj-al-arab in the Top Royal Suite. Those are the normal additions to the bundle. You’ll also receive a Toyota Prius complete with insurance, a Lamborghini Gallardo and a one-year membership to to the E25 Super Car Club, a full day of spy training, a hostage rescue experience, plastic surgery of your choice, and a trip to space with Virgin Galactic. While the trip to space might be the coolest, it’s definitely not the weirdest, as receiving a plastic surgery procedure when you buy a collector’s edition of a video game sure is strange. Maybe it’d be a little less weird if the bonus came with Surgeon Simulator. The bundle costs one million bucks, and there is only one available. Ars Technica did a little digging and found the bundle to have a value of around $630,000, so take that million dollar price tag as you will. You can pre-order it over at UK’s Game, for “only $1,000,000.”

Angus T. Jones - Aka Jake from two and a halh men
Angus T. Jones on verge of Breakdown? 'Two and a Half Men' star a 'Shadow of Himself' By Lauren Duca
Angus T. Jones, aka the half man of "Two and a Half Men," is causing his friends and family quite a bit of concern. Jones was spotted looking like a much scruffier version of his character Jake Harper, reportedly as an effort to break with the image the show projected of him. “He seems to be a shadow of himself and desperate to get away from the looks that made him a global star and very wealthy,” one of Jones' friends told the New York Daily News. “We are concerned about his health, too. Angus has lost a lot of weight over the summer and looks very skinny compared to how he looked on the show." “He seems to be suffering some kind of breakdown," another friend added. "He appears in denial about the whole saga. And he just doesn’t want to look like Jake anymore.” Jones spent over 10 years on the show, and was reportedly earning over $6 million a year by the time he ended his role. Yet, being paid $300,000 per episode didn't seem to affect his loyalty. In November 2012, Jones took to YouTube with a leader of the
Seventh-Day Adventist church, pleading with viewers to quit tuning in. “Please stop watching it. Please stop filling your head with filth,” he begged.
Actress and former Playmate Karen Lorretold Medical Daily this week that she has been able to orgasm 11 times in one day using "Orgasmic Meditation." Orgasmic Meditation, or OM, is "is a tool that activates and cultivates your Orgasm," according to TheTimeForOrgasm.us, the website of an upcoming OM conference in San Francisco. The folks behind OM -- which focuses on female pleasure and orgasm -- write that "Rather than Orgasm being a fleeting moment in time, we view Orgasm as a source of unlimited energy that’s found in all of us." For Lorre, that's apparently a lot of unlimited energy. She told HuffPost Live on Tuesday that not only does she practice OM "often," she had already "done it twice" before appearing on air.
OK, so what EXACTLY does OM entail? Nicole Daedone, OM practioner and founder of OneTaste, told HuffPost Live about her first experience with the method. "You'll just lie down, you'll take off your pants, I'll stroke you for 15 minutes, and then when it's over, you're free to go." Daedone miraculously consented to this, and after one session, she was hooked. "I had the most profound human connection I had ever experienced," she told HPL. Practicing OM doesn't necessarily mean getting stroked up by a stranger, though. OneTaste offers a slew of OM classes where couples can learn how undertake the pleasurable practice in the privacy of their own homes.

Thorsten Heins CEO OF BLACKBERRY
Although Jones later revised the statement and apologized to the creator of "Two And A Half Men," he is clearly still grappling with the effects of the show's legacy. His motivations, as expressed in the YouTube testimonial, seem to be motivated by religious urges to break with the less-than-moral escapades of "Two And A Half Men." Jones' parents, Kelly and Carey Jones, have both voiced their worry over his relationship with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The actor is reportedly reconsidering his involvement with the group, as he plans to leave for college this coming fall. This sad turn of events for Jones harkens back to Charlie Sheen's comment following his nowinfamous YouTube video: "I dare anyone to spend 10 years in the laugh-track that is Chuck Lorre's hive of oppression and not suffer some form of an emotional tsunami." It doesn't seem like anyone is #winning.
BlackBerry’s for sale but who’s buying BlackBerry Ltd. might be officially up for sale, but a central question remains: who’s buying? The Canada-based smartphone company announced on Monday that its board of directors has formed a special committee to explore “strategic
alternatives,” including the possible sale of the company. Those alternatives are likely to feature significant involvement from BlackBerry’s largest shareholder, Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd. The firm’s CEO, Prem Watsa, announced on Monday that he will resign from BlackBerry’s board of directors due to a potential conflict of interest.
