GIYA PARA SA PRAYER MEETING

Lukas 16:19-31

Asin nakahigda sa saiyang pintuan an sarong dukha na an ngaran Lazaro…” Ini an ladawan kan banwaan. Ini an kamugtakan LECTIO kan parokya. Igwang mayayaman. Igwang mga dukha. An nagsusuway sainda iyo an pintuan kan mayaman. An mayaman mayong pagma-kulog sa dukha. Alagad an dukha may pangaran. An buot sabihon kan Lazaro, an Dyos nagtatabang. Sa mata kan Dyos, si Lazaro sana an saiyang midbid. Sya sana an nakasurat sa libro kan kaligtasan.

The face of mercy fr. wilmer joseph s. tria

THE FACE is the mirror of the soul. It does not only give identity of the human individual, but it also reflects the inner character of the person. It reveals one’s intention, emotion and disposition. Reflection

Dangan nagadan man an mayaman, asin ilinubong, asin duman sa impyerno kun sain sya nagsasakit, nagkimaherak ki Abraham…” Naenot magadan an dukha. Tinàwan pagkakataon an mayaman na magbàgo. An susi sa saiyang kaligtasan iyo an pagtabang sa dukha. Alagad pinalampas nya ini. Kaya, kan an dukha magadan, nagadan man an posibilidad na sya makaligtas. An dukha na saiyang isiniblag iyo an kinugos ni Abraham. An nagsiblag na mayaman iyo man an sinayumahan ni Abraham. Alagad an simbag ni Abraham: yaon sainda an Bibliya.

I recommend calm and calm all the time.

JUDE’S an Pamilya Malanyaon sa Villa Corazon asin maugma ninda akong pinadagos. Piggi-rumdom mi an paglibot kan imahen ni St. Jude kan taon 2013. An hagad ko dai man tulos itinao, alagad namati kong sinimbag ako kan Kagurangnan. Nagbaklî an aki ko. Bloom where you are planted. Naging ugali kong magpamibi sa lambang pag-agi sa simbahan niya—St. Jude, intercede for us.”

CATECHETICALCorner

On proper attire at Mass WE COME to Church to worship and glorify God. When we attend Mass, we come to meet God and not our fellow parishioners. We must come prepared inwardly and portray our spiritual preparation outwardly through appropriate clothes and modest clothes. Ministers ought to draw the people’s attention to the Mass and not onto themselves. To be overly casual or to be overdressed are distrac-tions. Proper dressing demands moderation. It is immodest to have too many accessories. It is disrespectful to be too relaxed. Just like gestures, our attire “ought to convey respect, solemnity and joy of the moment when Christ becomes our guest.” (ccc, 1387) n

PARISH Ministries

WORSHIPMinistry THE QUALITY of Parish life depends on the quality of its worship in God. The task of the worship ministry is to achieve and maintain a certain quality of worship as specified in the teachings of the Church, that is, full, conscious and active participation in the liturgy. At SJTP, we have the following existing ministries: a) Extraordinary Eucharistic

t ’SJ’ MASS IN SJTP. Fr. Primitivo ‘Jun’ Viray Jr., S.J., president of Ateneo de Naga University, pays reverence to the relic of newly-canonized St. Teresa of Kolkata. Fr. Jun celebrates mass every Sunday at 8am (Children’s Mass) in the parish.

Ministers who assist the celebrant in the distribution of the Body of Christ; b) Lectors and Commentators who proclaim the Word of God; c) Ushers who assist the congregation inside the Church; d) Choir who make the liturgy lively through sacred music; e) Altar Care and Decor who prepare the Church prior to the liturgy; and f ) Altar Servers who assist the celebrant in the use of the liturgical vessels and linens. Without these ministries, the Sunday worship would not be as meaningful as it is today. However, SJTP shall be revitalizing the existing ministries and shall be establishing additional ministries. Formation shall be the focus of the revitalization. Ministers

are required to be members of any religious organization to ascertain their weekly prayer and formation. Skills training shall also be provided to improve the quality of ministering. Additional ministries are also needed. The Ministry of Hospitality, for example, shall take care of welcoming the church-goers and assisting them, especially the elderly and the PWD’s, to have easy access to our Church. More choirs shall be organized, including children’s choir. Psalmists and instrumentalists shall also be introduced in that Music Ministry. SJTP welcomes any parishioner who volunteers to be a member of any of these ministries. n

t ONE WITH THE PARISHIONERS. On two separate days, August 26 and 30, ninetysix houses along Kalye Putol in Zone I of Barangay Concepcion Grande were visited and blessed by SJTP pastor Fr. Wilmer Joseph S. Tria as part of his parish thrusts of Shepherding, Stewardship, and Sanctification (3S). Along the way, Fr. Wilmer anointed sick parishioners, and stumbled upon Mr. Rogasciano Claveria, an 84-year old balik-Katoliko. He also made it a point to gather together family members to explain to them the importance of forming Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC). Fr. Wilmer, who usually starts house visits at around 8am and ends it just before lunch time, expressed that in areas he has visited so far, regardless of social status, natural thirst for the spiritual pervades. He is set to resume pastoral visitations after the Peñafrancia activities.
