Very soon we will be witnessing the coronation of King Charles lll. It is a very significant moment in history and so our classroom has been decorated with the Union Jack and we have red, white, and blue all over our classroom.
The children have been making endless cups of tea for the Kings garden Party and our sand tray has been filled with treasures.... perhaps the crowned jewels!
The Acorns have loved using their diggers and dump trucks to find the treasure that has been well hidden. The children have enjoyed dressing up in anticipation of the coronation and we have many beautiful princesses in our midst. We have attempted to create our own Union Jack flags using food colouring on white bread.
On our adventures to Forest school, we found as many pretty things as we could to decorate our crowns. The dandelions and daisies were a favourite. It has been a lovely week in Acorns and next week we are looking forward to a very special picnic to celebrate the new King!
