It has been an exciting first week of the Summer term in Year 3! Our new text ‘The Ancient Egypt Sleepover’ by Stephen Davies is all about a young boy called Mo who has arrived at the British Museum for an exciting sleep over. This week has been all about London, the setting of our story. We have been exploring its famous landmarks, the geography of the city and finding out exciting facts. We have used coordinates to map read and find locations, as well as honing our artistic skills with sketches and ink drawings. Things are really starting to hot up in the story and we can’t wait to pursue the adventure further with Mo next week! In maths we have been refreshing our knowledge of telling the time. We have been reading and drawing times to specific minutes and used the small clocks to support our learning. We will continue to explore time next week, focussing on AM/PM and the 24hr clock. We are also very excited to be heading off on our residential trip next Thursday to Newby Wiske Hall. Stay tuned to read all about it!
