HEAD COACH BOB COLBERT

COACHING STAFF

Bob Colbert came to Saint Vincent in 2006 to bring back football after a 45-year hiauts. He built the program from the ground up, hiring a staff and recruiting players from all over the country to come to Western Pennsylvania to get in on the ground floor of a program rich in history, yet brand new.

A native of Pittsburgh’s North Side, Colbert is entering his 41st season as a coach, and has been involved with the game of football as a player and coach for 53 years. A graduate of North Catholic High School, where he starred in both football and baseball, he attended the University of Maryland, where he played defensive back and earned a Bachelors of Science degree in 1971. In 1970, he became the head coach at Gallaudet University, the only liberal arts college in the world for the hearing impaired. Just 23 at the time, he was the youngest head coach in the United States, and posted a record of 3-4 in his first season, the school’s best record in the previous 32 years. He then went on to serve as defensive backs coach at Colgate University from 1972-75, also serving as baseball coach from ‘74-76, before moving to the National Football League as an assistant to the defensive staff with the Washington Redskins and legendary coach George Allen (1976), and administrative assistant to the Baltimore Colts (197779) under head coach Ted Marchibroda.

He returned to college coaching in 1980, spending three years at Ohio Wesleyan University as defensive coordinator, and again coaching baseball in 1981 and ‘82. From 1983-89, he was receivers coach and special teams coordinator at Cornell University, winning the Ivy League championship in 1988. He then picked up his second Ivy League title in 1990 at Dartmouth, where he served as offensive line coach. Colbert then moved to Division I-AA James Madison as offen-

sive coordinator for four years (1991-94), twice reaching the NCAA Quarterfinals In 1996, Colbert was named quarterbacks coach at another I-AA school, the University of Massachusetts, and added offensive coordinator to his title at UMASS in 1997.

From 1998-2005, Colbert was the offensive line coach, offensive coordinator, and associate head coach (1995) at Bridgewater College (VA), where the Eagles enjoyed five consecutive titles in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Bridgewater competed in the Division III national playoffs for six consecutive seasons from 2000-05. The Eagles beat PAC members Washington & Jefferson twice and Waynesburg and Thiel once during those six playoff years, while also losing to W&J in an overtime playoff game in 2004. In 2001, the Eagles played Mount Union College for the National Championship in the Stagg Bowl. In 2002, Colbert received the AFLAC National Assistant of the Year award for his work at Bridgewater. The Eagles were 64-11 during his final six years, averaging 5,473 yards per year, 443 yards per game, and 38 points per game. Colbert and his wife of 37 years, Christine, have two children. Their daughter Cara Colbert Hopson resides in Harrisonburg, VA, working for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization. Cara gave birth to the Colberts’ first gradnchild, Tyler Colby Hopson, in May 2010. Their son Bret resides in Greensburg, and serves as wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator for the Bearcats.

ASSISTANT COACHES

SHAWN ROHRER Defensive Coordinator Shawn Rohrer enters his third year on the Bearcat staff as the team’s defensive coordinator. Under his guidance, the Bearcat defense has seen marked improvement. In 2009, the Bearcat defense ranked sixth in the PAC in total defense, its highest finish ever, while finishing fifth in pass defense and fourth in sacks. In addition, four Bearcats ranked in the top 15 in the conference in tackles and a trio of players - linebacker David Ribero, defensive tackle John Jackson, and cornerback Rob James - received 2009 PAC Coaches Honors.

Rohrer served as Inside Linebackers Coach at his alma mater from 2000-2002. In 2000, SRU was PSAC West Champions and again a national playoff team. In 2002, he was hired at Shepherd University as a Defensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. In his second season at Shepherd, Rohrer transitioned to coach the linebackers while ejoying a WVIAC Conference Championship. In 2005, he added Special Teams Coordinator to his responsibilities, and enjoyed another WVIAC title while taking part in a perfect 100 regular season and a national playoff birth. Rohrer helped lead a defense that ranked nationally in every major defensive statistic. Shawn and his wife Kim reside in New Stanton, PA with their daughter Savanah.

BERNIE COLBERT Offensive Line Coach Bernie Colbert enters his fourth year on the Bearcat football staff as the offensive line coach. Coach Colbert, a native of Pittsburgh, is entering his fourth year at Saint Vincent College as the team’s offensive line coach.

He has coached all facets of the game-- offense, defense, and special teams. After graduating from Pittsburgh’s North Catholic High School, Coach Colbert went onto play collegiately at North Carolina State University. After his career was derailed by injury, he joined the school’s staff as a student assistant coach. He has perviously coached collegiately at Carnegie Mellon University, serving as the team’s defensive line coach. He also served as offensive coordinator at the high school ranks at North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh and The Kiski School in Saltsburg.

Coach Bell is entering his fourth season at Saint Vincent, and in addition to coaching the Bearcat defensive line, he also serves as the strength and conditioning coordinator for all of Saint Vincent College’s 20 varsity sports.

Bell, a resident of Pittsburgh, began his coaching career at Slippery Rock in 1993, coaching running backs, linebackers, and special teams through the 1998 season. From 1998-2000, he worked as defensive and special teams coordinator at Hampton High School, in Pittsburgh’s North Hills. He then moved onto Lock Haven University from 2000-01, where he served as defensive line coach for two seasons before taking the defensive coordinator position at Indiana’s St. Joseph’s College. In 2004, he returned to Lock Haven, coaching tackles and tight ends, before rejoining the Slippery Rock staff as a wide receivers and special teams coach in 2005. Coach Bell is a certified sports performance coach by USA Weightlifting, and has been a competitive power lifter.

BRET COLBERT Receivers Coach

Bret Colbert enters his fourth season with the Bearcat coaching staff. In addition to coaching the wide receivers, Colbert also serves as the team’s video coordinator.

COACHING STAFF

Prior to joining the Bearcats, Rohrer served his second stint at California University (PA) as Director of Football Operations and Recruiting Coordinator, along with coaching linebackers through the 2006 PSAC West Co-Championship season. In 1998-99, he worked as a graduate assistant at Cal while obtaining a Masters Degree in Geography and Regional Planning. A 1998 graduate of Slippery Rock, Rohrer gained All-America honors at linebacker, serving as team captain for the Rock in 1997. He helped lead the team to the PSASC West title in 1997, and their first ever appearance in the national playoffs.

JOHN BELL Defensive Line Coach

He came to Saint Vincent from Cornell University, where he spent the 2006 season serving as an offensive and special teams assistant. He began his coaching career under Walt Harris at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a graduate assistant, specializing in video, in 2005.

A native of Harrisonburg, VA and graduate of Turner Ashby High School, Colbert began his playing career at the College of William and Mary, playing receiver for two seasons. He then played two seasons at Bridgewater College in Virginia, where he graduated with a degree in Health and Exercise Science. On the football field, he helped the Eagles to a 23-3 record and two appearances in the NCAA national playoffs. He has worked at numerous summer clamps and clinics over the course of his coaching career, including ones held at Penn State, Cornell, Pitt, and James Madison. Bret, the son of Bearcat head football coach Bob Colbert and nephew of offensive line coach Bernie Colbert, currently resides in Greensburg, and is engaged to be married to fiancee Allison.

ASSISTANT COACHES DOM RAZZANO

Defensive Backs Coach

COACHING STAFF

Coach Dom Razzano enters his first season with the Bearcat football program. Coach Razzano comes to Saint Vincent after spending the 2009 campaign at his alma mater, Slippery Rock University, where he was an assistant to defensive backs and special teams coordinator Rob Keys. In addition to his preparing defensive and special teams game plans, he also organized the scout team, broke down film of all opponents, and prepared self scout reports. In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Razzano also spent three seasons on the coaching staff of the New Castle (PA) Thunder semi-pro team. He served in a number of capacities with the Thunder, including linebackers coach, special teams assistant, defensive backs coach, and defensive coordinator. During the 2008 season, the Thunder finished a perfect 8-0, and ranked first in the league in all defensive categories, allowing an average of just over four points per game. A 2009 graduate of Slippery Rock with a degree in Business Management, Razzano, a linebacker, earned three letters on the playing field. During the 2007 and '08 seasons, he appeared in a combined 20 games, making 43 tackles (16 solo) and an interception.

Razzano is a native of New Castle, PA, and graduate of Shenango High School. He earned three football letters, helping the team to a pair of section championships, while earning All-Conference accolades at both linebacker and offensive guard.

JONATHAN WIDICH Defensive Assistant

Jonathan Widich enters his third season with the Saint Vincent football staff, and has assisted in all aspects of the team’s defense.

Coach Widich, a 1968 graduate of Saint Vincent, joined the coaching staff as a defensive assistant in the spring of 2008. Currently a resident of Bethel Park, he has managed to squeeze in 20 years of coaching during a 35-year career in international and corporate finance with Mellon Bank.

His coaching experience has had a heavy emphasis on teaching fundamentals, including stints with the German American Football League in Frankfurt, Germany, as an assistant high school coach in Tokyo, Japan, and various junior high and youth programs.

RON BALDONIERI Linebackers Coach

Coach Baldonieri enters his fourth year on the Bearcat football staff working with the team’s linebackers.

His tutelage has helped the Bearcat defense improve significantly over the past three seasons. Last season, SVC linebacker David Ribero blossomed into one of the top defensive players in the conference, earning PAC Coaches Honors after totaling 86 tackles, including 13.5 for loss and three sacks. In all, Baldonieri’s pupils accounted for 235 tackles, 39 tackles for loss, and 13 sacks a season ago.

Currently the principal at nearby Ligonier Valley High School, Baldonieri is a veteran of the high school coaching ranks. He served as head coach of Ligonier Valley’s football team from 1999-2003, guiding the Mounties in to the District 6 players in 2000 and 2003. He has also been the head coach at Uniontown Area (1990-93), Greater Latrobe (1987-89), Derry Area (1985-86), and Greensburg Central Catholic (1981-84).

BILL PAWLOSKI Running Backs

Bill Pawloski enters his first season with the Bearcat coaching staff, as he will work with the team’s running backs in the 2010 campaign.

A native of Cheswick, PA and alumnus of West Deer High School, Pawloski began his teaching and coaching career in 1970 at Oswego High School in New York after graduating from Alliance College in Ohio.

He moved into the collegiate ranks in 1974, beginning a three-year stint as the Defensive Coordinator for Oswego State University (NY). After spending time in South Carolina as a high school assistant coach, he returned to New York in 1982 as the Defensive Coordinator at Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse.

From 1987-2009, he served as Head Coach at Camden High School in Camden, NY, setting a school record for the most coaching wins in school history. Beginning in 2006, he also worked at Morrisville State College as co-Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach.

The Green Terror of McDaniel College defeated Saint Vincent by a final score of 52-37 in Westminster, MD. For Saint Vincent, the point total represented their highest output since the program returned to action in 2007, but it was not enough to earn the win.

2009 SEASON REVIEW

McDaniel opened the scoring with just under six minutes remaining in the first quarter, as tight end Woody Butler caught a 19-yard pass from Tom Massucci to put the hosts up 7-0. On the next play from scrimmage, a Bearcat fumble gave McDaniel the ball at the 26-yard line, and Massucci wasted no time, connecting with Matt Cahill on a touchdown pass on the next play, making it 14-0.

A penalty on the extra point forced McDaniel to kick off from deep in their own territory, and the Bearcats were able to put the ball back into play from midfield. Four plays later, Jairus Marlow scampered 18 yards for a score, cutting the margin in half.

Early in the second quarter, another Bearcat drive into the red zone resulted in points, as Aaron Jones hit a 24-yard field goal that made it 14-10.

The Green Terror fought right back, scoring on a 5-yard run by Raymond O'Hara that made it 21-10. After SVC was stopped and forced to punt on the next possession, McDaniel ran into some trouble of their own, finding themselves at their own 26 yard line in a third-and-28 situation. However, while the Bearcats initially stopped the offense, a personal foul penalty resulted in an automatic first down and new life for the Green Terror, who took advantage of the opportunity, scoring five plays later to go up by a score of 28-10 with just 42 seconds left.

Saint Vincent was not finished, however, as Kevin Corona connected with Phil Masciantonio on a 53-yard touchdown strike. After penalties forced the extra point attempt from 40-yards out, the half ended with SVC down, 28-16. Most of the third quarter then belonged to the hosts, as they tallied three consecutive touchdowns, making it 49-16, before Marlow took a screen pass 61 yards for a Bearcat score. After a McDaniel field goal early in the fourth quarter stretched the lead to 52-23, Saint Vincent rallied for a pair of late scores.

Marlow scored for the third time on the day with a 1-yard run, then Marvin Daney and Jake Smith combined for a pair of big plays. First, Daney caught a 46-yard pass to the McDaniel eight, then Smith hit him with a 6-yard touchdown pass to end the scoring.

Corona was 13-24 through the air on the day, good for 265 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Smith was 6-10 with one scoring pass. Marlow led SVC rushers with 38 yards on six carries. Daney caught 5 passes for 72 yards, while Marlow had a pair of catches for 79 yards. Masciantonio, Marc Gonzales and Joe Strickland each had two catches. Marlow led the team with 139 all-purpose yards, including a 22 yard kickoff return. Jeff Graham led the defense with 10 tackles, while Sean Hufgard and David Ribero recorded 8 each.

After a fast start, the Bearcats saw visiting Geneva charge back to earn a 32-17 win at Chuck Noll Field. Saint Vincent roared out of the gates, opening up a 14-0 lead with nine minutes gone in the first quarter, but the Geneva defense clamped down and the Golden Tornado running game took over.

The Bearcats scored their first touchdown of the game just two minutes in, with Kevin Corona connecting with Sheldon Loughner on a 15-yard scoring strike. Aaron Jones' extra point capped off the five-play, 54-yard drive, giving the Bearcats the early 7-0 lead.

The Golden Tornado defense then forced a three-and-out on the Bearcats first possession of the second quarter, and after receiving very favorable field position after the ensuing punt, and Matt Barge took advantage by racing 30 yards for the touchdown. The two-point conversion attempt failed, and the Bearcat lead was just 14-12. With three minutes left in the quarter, the Bearcats then looked to embark on a scoring drive to close out the half, as Corona completed a trio of long passes, including a 15-yarder to Jake Gabelt, a 21-yarder to Jairus Marlow, and a 29yarder to Marvin Daney, setting up a first-and-goal on the three with just under a minute left. Geneva's defense held on the goaline, and Jones then came on to continue his perfect day, knocking home a 23-yard field goal to give SVC the 17-12 halftime lead.

The Golden Tornadoes took advantage of a questionable roughing-the-punter call to score the only points of the third quater, with Matt Dean ending the prolonged drive by bowling in from two yards out. The two-point conversion attempt again failed, but Geneva took the lead, 18-17, with seven minutes remaining in the third. On the first play of the fourth quarter, Dean scored his second two-yard touchdown of the game, and the extra point kick was good, pushing the Geneva advantage to 25-17. Geneva continued its run in the fourth quarter, as Girardi found Wilson on a fade in the back of the end zone to put the visitors ahead 32-17 with 10 minutes remaining in regulation. SVC looked to get back into the game on its next possession, and after a roughing the passer call on Geneva, the Bearcats had a first down on the GC 20. The Golden Tornado defense then came up big again, forcing an SVC fumble with six minutes left to end the scoring threat and effectively put the game away. Corona finished the day 16-28 passing for 173 yards, throwing two interceptions as well as the touchdown pass to Loughner, who led the SVC receiving corps with five catches for 69 yards. The Geneva defensive front limited the Bearcat ground game, however, holding SVC to just 40 yards rushing, 39 of which were gained by Mihalko, who also tallied 122 yards in kickoff returns. Saint Vincent's defense earned the team's next touchdown five minutes later, when linebacker Tom Quirin stepped in front of a David Girardi pass and scampered 36 yards down the sidelines untouched for the interception return. Jones again converted on the extra point, and SVC was up 14-0 with six minutes remaining in the opening quarter. Geneva got on the board on its next possession, with Girardi finding Brian Wilson in the end zone on an 11-yard pass with just over a minute left in the quarter. The extra point attempt was no good, and the score was 14-6 SVC heading into the second.

The Westminser Titans came to Chuck Noll Field and defeated Saint Vincent, leaving with a 27-14 victory over the Bearcats on Homecoming Day. Westminster received the opening kickoff and systematically worked their way downfield on the opening drive, putting together a 13-play, 72-yard drive, culminating in a one-yard touchdown run by Nick McCloskey, who ran for 121 yards on the day.

Saint Vincent answered right back on the ensuing drive. When the drive originally stalled at midfield, SVC's Anthony Johnson took a short snap on a fake punt and picked up five yards to keep the drive going. Later, Kevin Corona hit Zach Mihalko with a screen pass, and Mihalko did the rest, taking the ball 19 yards into the end zone. After Aaron Jones' extra point, the game was tied, 7-7.

Westminster's next possession resulted in more points, but the SVC defense stopped the visitors on the 25, forcing Trevor Young to hit a 42-yard field goal that made it 10-7, Titans. Midway through the second quarter, the Titans added to their lead when Kevin Franz hit McCloskey with a 13-yard scoring pass, and the half ended with the Bearcats trailing, 17-7. In the third quarter,Young hit a 21-yard field goal to make it 20-7, and after a Bearcat punt, Franz connected with Jon Gubish on a 36-yard touchdown pass to put the Titans up by 20 points, 27-7.

The Bearcat offense went back to work late in the third, with quarterback Jake Smith at the helm. A 33-yard pass to Mihalko moved the ball across midfield, then Smith scrambled for a 17-yard gain on fourth down to keep the drive alive. The drive again appeared to be stalled at the Titan 2, but on fourth down, Smith handed to Jairus Marlow, who approached the line, stopped and threw a jump pass to tight end Jake Gabelt in the end zone for a Bearcat score that cut the margin to 27-14. On their next drive, Saint Vincent again appeared poised to score. Smith and Marlow connected for 23 yards to take the ball to the Westminster 17, then, following a penalty, a 22-yard run by Mihalko made it first and goal at the five. After a pass interference call put the ball at the 2-yard line, the Westminster defense stepped up, stopping the Bearcats and forcing the ball to be turned over on downs, and the Titans regained the momentum and posted the 27-14 win. McCloskey led all rushers in the game with 121 yards, while Mihalko gained 37 on the ground for SVC. Westminster's Franz was a solid 15-for19 for 167 yards passing. For SVC, Corona was 9-20 for 86 yards, while Smith was 6-17 for 87 yards.

Marvin Daney (SVC) and Chad Rosatelli (WES) each had four catches for 34 yards. Mihalko caught a pair of passes for 52 yards. Marlow, Sheldon Loughner, Phil Masciantonio and Dan Blaszkowski each had two catches for the Bearcats. Defensively, Anthony Johnson had 12 tackles for SVC, while David Ribero tallied 11 and Sean Hufgard had 10. Cory Meeker led the Titan defense with 8 stops, while Neil Falco had a pair of quarterback sacks. Overall,Westminster put up 317 yards of total offense compared to 225 for Saint Vincent.

The Waynesburg University Yellow Jackets defeated Saint Vincent by a score of 33-12 at a soggy Wiley Stadium in Greene County.

The Bearcats got off to a promising start, with Jairus Marlow taking a handoff on the first play from scrimmage and dashing 23 yards down the sideline to the Waynesburg 42. Eight plays later, Kevin Corona hit Jeremy Drischler in the corner of the end zone from 14 yards out to put SVC up 6-0.

However,Waynesburg then gave a glimpse of what was to come often in the first half, as quarterback Brad Dawson connected on a 35-yard strike to Brent Heckel to the Bearcat 9, setting up a touchdown run on the next play by Billy Becker that tied the game. Waynesburg then went ahead to stay with the extra point, 7-6.

The hosts added a touchdown less than a minute into the second half, set up by a 60-yard pass from Dawson to Fisher, making it 31-6, but neither team scored the remainder of the quarter. Early in the fourth, SVC capitalized on a fumble recovery by John Jackson at the Waynesburg 35, putting together a 10-play drive that culminated in a 6-yard TD pass from Corona to Sheldon Loughner that made it 31-12.

Later in the quarter, defensive back Rob James intercepted his second pass of the game, but SVC was forced to start a drive from their own 1-yard line, and QB Jake Smith was sacked in the end zone on the next play, making it 33-12.

Overall on the day,Waynesburg (3-1) tallied 443 yards of offense compared to 198 for Saint Vincent. Becker led all rushers with 74 yards, while Marlow had 13 carries for 62 yards for SVC. Corona was 12-38 in the air for 94 yards, while Dawson was 13-23 for 242 yards.

Zach Mihalko caught 3 passes for the Bearcats for 14 yards, while Jake Gabelt, Derek Wiley and Loughner had two catches each. Heckel caught 3 passes for Waynesburg for 44 yards.

The Bearcats dropped to 0-5 on the season, after falling 41-20 at Grove City College.

The game started as a defensive battle, as the teams shared four scoreless possessions over the first 12 minutes of the opening quarter. With less than three minutes remaining in the first quarter, Grove City got on the scoreboard, as Wolverine punter Ed Reith took the snap and ran 45 yards for a score.

2009 SEASON REVIEW

The defense again played well throughout much of the first half, shutting down Grove City quarterback Andrew DiDonato. Senior cornerback Rob James, who intercepted two passes last week at Waynesburg, had a pair of first half interceptions to keep Saint Vincent in the game. However, with just 1:05 left in the second, DiDonato connected with Will McCoy for a 20-yard touchdown pass that made it 14-0 at the break. Another touchdown pass with four minutes left in the third made it 21-0, then DiDonato used his legs to score, as a 10-yard touchdown run made it 28-0 on the first play of the fourth quarter.

Less than a minute later, Saint Vincent got on the board, as Kevin Corona aired out a 42-yard touchdown pass to a wide-open Marvin Daney. After another Wolverine touchdown, Saint Vincent scored again, on a fourth-down, 32-yard pass to Sheldon Loughner in the end zone. The Bearcats closed out the day’s scoring with 55 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, as Jake Smith connected with Christian Sutton on a 51-yard bomb to make the score 41-20.

Corona was 12-for-26 passing for the Bearcats (0-5), good for 141 yards. Zach Mihalko led the ground game with 11 carries for 44 yards. Jeremy Drischler caught five passes for 47 yards, and Anthony Johnson led the defense with 13 tackles, including 1 1/2 sacks. In all, the Bearcats tallied three sacks, with Josh Catalano posting 1.0 and David Ribero 0.5. The visiting Thomas More College Saints forced six Bearcat turnovers in their 40-13 win at Chuck Noll Field.

Thomas More, ranked 18th in the nation, broke open a 7-6 game midway through the first quarter by using a strong ground game, gaining 169 rushing yards to score 33 unanswered points over the second and third quarters.

After the Bearcats fumbled on their opening possession of the first quarter, Thomas More gave the ball right back, with SVC's Roscoe Barber picking off a Trevor Stellman pass on the Saints' third play from scrimmage. Saint Vincent capitalized on the Saint miscue, embarking on a five play, 60-yard drive, capped off with a 12-yard Zach Mihalko touchdown run, to go up 6-0 with 12 minutes left in the opening stanza.

The Bearcats' next two possessions ended in interceptions, first by Brandon Kohrs and then by Zach Autenreib, with both resulting in two-yard touchdown runs by TMC's Cordario Collier, as the visitors pushed their lead to 27-6 in the closing minutes of the first half. With under a minute left in the half, the Bearcats looked to end the half on a high note, but the Saints closed the second quarter with yet another interception, this time by Wade Begley with three seconds remaining. In the second half, Thomas More picked up right where it left off, as Stellman capped off his team's first drive of the third quarter with a 14-yard touchdown run to put the Saints up 34-6. The teams then traded scoreless possessions, before the Saints tallied their fourth interception of the day, this one by Nick Gramke, who returned it 33 yards to the SVC five-yard line. On the next play, the Saints' Luis Perez rushed up the gut for TMC's sixth touchdown of the day, and the game entered the fourth quarter with Thomas More ahead 40-6.

Saint Vincent's next drive proved to be its most productive. After an 18-yard run by Jairus Marlow, quarterback Jake Smith completed a 13-yard pass to Derek Wiley followed by a 17-yard strike to Sheldon Loughner, setting up a first-and-goal on the Thomas More eight. Smith then found tight end Jake Gabelt over the middle for an eight-yard scoring strke, with the Aaron Jones extra point making the score 40-13 to close out the day's scoring with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Mihalko paced the Bearcat ground game, gaining 55 yards on 13 carries, while gaining an additional 66 yards on three kickoff returns. Kevin Corona started under center, completing 12 of 21 passes for 88 yards, while Smith came on in relief, going 9-16 through the air for 151 yards. Sheldon Loughner paced the Bearcat receivers with five catches for 71 yards, with Gabelt hauling in three grabs and Marlow and Christian Sutton two apiece. Thomas More answered back two possessions later, with Stellman completing passes of 16 and 24 yards before Luis Perez plunged into the end zone from two yards out. The ensuing extra point kick was good, giving the Saints the 7-6 lead with six minutes remaining in the quarter. The Saints added onto the lead in their first trip of the second quarter, with Stellman connecting with Nick Olthaus for a 25-yard touchdown pass at the 11:43 mark.

2009 SEASON REVIEW

The Bearcat defense turned in an impressive performance, limiting the vaunted W&J offense to 324 yards, 107 under their season average. It was the W&J defense, however, that turned in the biggest play of the game, recovering a fumble in the end zone late in the fourth quarter to ward off the SVC upset bid. W&J got on the board first, capping off an 11-play, 55-yard drive with an 11-yard pass from Gino Rometo to Zach DeCiddo with 8:35 left in the first quarter. The Presidents looked to add onto their lead on their net trip, setting up a first-and-goal from seven yards out. SVCâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s defense then made its first big stand of the day, with Rob James breaking up a pass in the end zone on third down before Jeff Graham batted down another Rometo throw at the line of scrimmage to force a turnover on downs. The chilly, sloppy field conditions hampered both offenses throughout the game, as neither team was able to find the end zone throughout the remainder of the first half. Late in the second quarter, both teams squandered first-and-goal opportunities, and the game went into halftime with the Presidents still up 7-0.

After the Presidents opened up the third quarter by missing a field goal, the Bearcats looked to drive, with a 34-yard pass from Jake Smith to Sheldon Loughner setting up a first down 40 yards from paydirt. The W&J defense again came up big, with Jacob Bloomhuff sacking Smith and forcing a fumble, which was recovered by teammate Gavin Donathan. The Presidents quickly took advantage of the miscue, capping off a 60-yard drive with a five-yard Terrance McAlister touchdown run to go up 14-0. Rob James took the ensuing kickoff 48 yards to the W&J 17, and a pair of Zach Mihalko runs set up first-and-goal at the one. After a delay of game penalty backed up the ball to the six, the Bearcats went into the special playbook with fullack Mike Male taking a pitch and hitting Jake Smith with a pass. The quarterback was brought down just shy of the goalline, setting up fourth-and-goal, but W&J held and the score stayed 14-0 heading into the fourth quarter.

After trading scoreless possessions to open up the final stanza, the Bearcats got on the board in a big way. On second-and-10 on his own 16, Smith hit Dan Blaszkowski for an 84-yard touchdown strike. The extra point by Aaron Jones was good, and SVC trailed just 14-7. W&J was unable to gain a first down on their next possession, but punter Joe Kelly pinned SVC down inside their own one with a 45-yard punt. Brandon Bovina recovered an SVC fumble in the end zone, closing out the dayâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s scoring and giving the Presidents the 21-7 victory.

The Bearcat defensive unit was led on the day by Alex Rowan, who made 11 stops, while Armando Fortunato added nine and David Ribero eight, including 1.5 for loss. James broke up three passes in the secondary, while making three tackles in the afternoon. In his first start of the season, Smith completed 12 of 27 passes for 185 yards. Blaszkowski and Loughner shared the team lead with three catches each, for 86 and 61 yards respectively. Mihalko led the SVC ground game with 55 yards on 17 carries.

The Bearcats were unable to hold a fourth quarter lead, falling to Geneva College on the road by a score of 38-20.

Saint Vincent opened the game with a turnover, but strong play from the Bearcat defense kept Geneva off the board on their opening drive. However, a tipped pass led to an interception on SVC's second drive, and Matt Dean later scored on a 2yard run to give Geneva a 7-0 lead.

The game then turned into a defensive struggle, but SVC managed to tie the score with just over two minutes left in the second quarter, when Jake Smith hit tight end Allen Neiderer with a 7-yard touchdown pass. Smith had helped to keep the drive alive on three occasions, rushing for a trio of first downs.

Just over 30 seconds later, Dean ran for his second TD of the game, a 48-yard run. The extra point gave Geneva the lead, 14-13, and they added to it four minutes later with a 36-yard field goal from Nick DiPietro.

Saint Vincent fought back early in the fourth. On a third down play, Smith ran 37 yards to the Geneva 15, then hit Neiderer with a 15-yard strike on the next play that gave the Bearcats a 20-17 advantage with 14:26 left in the fourth. On the ensuing kickoff, AJ Delmonico broke free for a 74-yard touchdown, but the play was shrouded in controversy. A penalty was called on Geneva for a personal foul -- which appeared to take place during the return. However, after a lengthy meeting by the officials, the touchdown was allowed to stand and the penalty was ruled a dead-ball violation, and Geneva took a 24-20 lead. After SVC fumbled on the kickoff, Geneva took over on the Bearcat 42, driving to the end zone in seven plays to take a 31-20 lead. They added a late score that made it 38-20.

Jake Smith rushed for 86 yards to lead Saint Vincent (0-8), and was 14-of-34 passing for 154 yards and two touchdowns. Jeremy Drischler caught 3 passes for 47 yards, while Zach Mihalko had 3 receptions for 24 yards. Allen Neiderer and Sheldon Loughner had two catches each. David Ribero led the defense with 11 tackles, including one sack, while Armando Fortunato recorded 10 tackles and one sack.

In the third quarter, the Bearcats forced a pair of turnovers and kept Geneva off the board, then took advantage of a punt block to take the lead. On a third and 15 play, Golden Tornado quarterback David Girardi attempted a punt from inside his own 10 yard line, but the Bearcat line partially blocked the attempt, and linebacker Tom Quirin grabbed the ball out of the air and ran it 10 yards into the end zone for a Bearcat score. The extra point attempt never materialized, as the snap was dropped, and SVC led 13-7 with 5:36 remaining in the third quarter.

The Bearcats turned the ball over seven times in a 38-14 loss to Thiel College on the road.

Three Saint Vincent fumbles led to 17 first half points as Thiel opened up a 31-7 advantage midway through the game, and SVC was unable to recover.

Just over five minutes into the game, the Bearcats fumbled near midfield, but the defense stopped the Tomcats' drive at the 15, forcing John Madeline to hit a 33-yard field goal that put the hosts up 3-0.

Less than a minute into the second quarter, Thiel completed a 10-play, 86-yard drive with a pass from Willie Bova to Tyler Dejong from 27 yards out, making it 10-0. The Bearcats fumbled the kickoff, and Thiel scored just four plays later to make it 17-0.

This time, the Saint Vincent offense struck quickly. Chris Brown ran for 13 yards on first down, then Jake Smith hit Sheldon Loughner with a 42 yard pass to the Thiel five yard line. On the next play, Hank Neurouter ran for the score and the gap was down to ten, 17-7. However, Thiel put together another solid drive, moving the ball 65 yards on just seven plays, capped by another scoring pass by Bova, this time to Dan McKall from 11 yards out, and the Tomcats led 24-7. Three plays later, Saint Vincent fumbled again, leading to another Thiel touchdown before the break.

The second half started on a better note for the Bearcats, as Smith hit Christian Sutton down the middle of the field with a 21-yard scoring strike on a fourth down play that made it 31-14. After the defense stopped Thiel, Saint Vincent started another drive, but failed to convert fourth down play from the Thiel 10 and turned the ball over on downs. In the fourth quarter, Saint Vincent quarterbacks were intercepted inside the ten yard line on three occasions, and Thiel cruised to a 38-14 victory.

Saint Vincent (0-9) was led on the ground by Jake Smith, who gained 69 yards on six carries. Chris Brown had 7 carries for 33 yards. Smith was 24-of-42 through the air for 219 yards on the day, while Caleb Gelsomino was 3-7 for 21 yards. Sheldon Loughner caught five passes for 68 yards, while Christian Sutton also had five catches, good for 62 yards. Jeremy Drischler likewise had 5 receptions on the day tallying 49 yards. Defensively, SVC was led by David Ribero's 9.5 tackles. Rob James and John Jackson each recorded six tackles on the day.

Visiting Bethany College handed the Bearcats a 34-13 loss in the season finale at Chuck Noll Field.

Using a strong passing attack led by quarterback Dan Pegg, the Bison jumped out to a 22-0 halftime lead and never looked back, while the Bearcat offense committed five costly turnovers in defeat.

Pegg, who completed 29 of 41 passes for 341 yards, got the Bison on the board first, finding tight end Jorge Laboy with a 16-yard scoring strike with 6:31 left in the opening quarter. The extra point attempt was no good, and Bethany led 6-0.

The teams then traded scorless possessions over the remainder of the first quarter, before Bethany opened up the second stanza by embarking on a long drive. The Bison eventually advanced as deep as the SVC 2-yardline, but the Bearcat defense made a goaline stand, capped off with Jim Muraco and Jeff Graham stopping BC tailback Eric Walker just short of the end zone on fourth-and-goal.

Saint Vincent started the second half off in fine fashion, capping off a long drive when fullback Marc Gonzales plunged up the middle for his first career touchdown run. Aaron Jones' extra point attempt was good, cutting the Bearcat deficit to 22-7 with nine minutes left in the third quarter. The visitors answered right back on the ensuing drive, with Pegg completing three quick passes, the final of which was a 50-yard scoring strike to Ed Holmes to make the score 28-7 with six minutes left in the quarter.

Again, Saint Vincent countered with another long drive, with the big play being an 18-yard pass from Corona to Jeremy Drischler, aided by a Bethany roughing the passer penalty, to set up another SVC first-and-goal inside the 10. After a six-yard pass from Corona to Phil Masciantonio, the Bearcats were again aided by a Bethany penalty, with an offside call setting the ball up just outside the three yardline. Two plays later, Corona found Gabelt, who bullied into the end zone for the two-yard touchdown with 40 seconds remaining in the quarter. The extra point was blocked, and the game entered the fourth quarter with Bethany ahead 28-13. The Bearcat defense made another big play to open up the final quarter, as Armando Fortunato scooped up a failed Bethany lateral, and raced to the Bison 18. Corona then hit Masciantonio in the back of the end zone for what appeared to be a Bearcat touchdown, but officials ruled the receiver was out of bounds. The drive then fizzled, as Bethany regained the ball on the turnover on downs.

After Bethany punted on its next possession, SVC picked up a trio of first downs, advancing the ball to midfield. The drive ended abruptly, with Bethany's Kyle Arrington picking off a Corona pass at the BC 30 and advancing it back to midfield. Six plays later, Pegg ended the day's scoring with a five yard scramble into the end zone, making the score 34-13 with 3:30 remaining in regulation.

The Bearcats were unable to cash in on the momentum, however, and four plays later, the Bison recorded a team safety on an SVC punt attempt, as the snap sailed out of the end zone, putting the visitors ahead 8-0 with eight minutes left in the half. The Bison scored twice more over the final five minutes of the second quarter, first on a two-yard dive by Walker with 4:19 left, and then on a 37-yard strike from Pegg to Matt Cruse with 20 seconds remaining, sending Bethany into the intermission with the 22-0 advantage.

THE PRESIDENTS’ ATHLETIC CONFERENCE 34

Founded in 1955, the Presidents’ Athletic Conference continues its mission of promoting intercollegiate athletics and the pursuit of academic excellence. Comprised of 10 select private colleges - Bethany College, Chatham University, Geneva College, Grove City College, Saint Vincent College, Thiel College, Thomas More College, Washington & Jefferson College, Waynesburg University, and Westminster College - the PAC remains a unique organization in this day of high pressure intercollegiate athletics. With academics at the center of each member’s philosophy, the PAC is built on the principle that an athletic program is a part of college life, but not an entity in itself. The PAC expanded to seven members in 2005 with the addition of Thomas More College, formerly an NCAA Division III independent. Saint Vincent College, a former NAIA member, joined the conference as it began provisional membership status in NCAA Division III in 2006-07, and is now a full member of the NCAA. Another NAIA member, Geneva College, became the conference’s ninth member and began league play as it started Division III provisional membership in 2007-08. Chatham College became the league’s 10th member, also in 2007-08. The PAC annually crowns champions in 19 sports. In 2009-10, the conference had 42 teams represent the conference in postseason play, including 23 in NCAA Championship events. PAC championship teams receive automatic qualification status for most NCAA Division III national championship events. All-conference status is awarded in all 19 sports. Head coaches select all-league squads for all team sports, while in individual sports, such as cross country and tennis, All-PAC accolades are based upon performances at the conference championships. The PAC annually awards its men’s and women’s All Sports Trophies to the schools which perform best across the board in PAC competition. The Grove City and Washington & Jefferson men tied for the top spot in the 2009-10 year, while the Westminster women captured the women’s All-Sports Trophy. True to its mission, the PAC has produced numerous Academic All-Americans and NCAA Postgrduate Scholarship winners. Last year, the league named over 600 student-athletes to the PAC Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes all participating student-athletes who attain a grade-point average of 3.60 or above.

HISTORICAL TIMELINE Ever since one of the first documented professional football games on record took place on a field near campus in the late 1800’s, the Latrobe, PA area has played a big role in football-crazy Western Pennsylvania. Saint Vincent College fielded its first varsity football squad in 1923, and immediately cemented a solid tradition. Though the sport was discontinued at the school in

1923 Fans were baffled in the Bearcats’ Nov. 3 finale against Duquesne, after Saint Vincent players formed a circle behind the line of scrimmage before running the next play. This act, known as the huddle, was the brainchild of head coach Marion Cleary, and was the first huddle system to be introduced in the Tri-State District.

1927 A September game between the Bearcats and St. Francis turned into an all-day football extravaganza when referees forgot to keep an official clock. The early afternoon game was eventually called due to darkness, with St. Francis winning 19-0. In a November game that same season against George Washington University, the Bearcats established a record that still stands today, as signal callers completed 30 of 35 passes in a losing effort.

1928 New football field plans changed the position of the field and had it running North to South (instead of the original East to West) in a nearby on-campus field.

1929 In a 40-0 win over Edinboro, Sammy Lucker gained 501 yards from scrimmage, scoring two touchdowns.

1931 Harry Johnson scored five touchdowns against Salem in his most impressive performance enroute to becoming Saint Vincient’s first ever football All-American. He officially received the nickname “Sticks” later on in the season after SVC’s 7-0 win over Canisius. 1932 Geneva defeats Saint Vincent 14-7, despite the Bearcats owning a 14-4 advantage in first downs.

1962, Saint Vincent still remained in the football forefront, as the school has played host to summer training camp for the six-time Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers for over 40 years. The football program at Saint Vincent was resurrected in 2006, and the current Bearcats are set on continuing the long, storied tradition of Bearcat football. 1934 In a meeting between Waynesburg and Saint Vincent, the Bearcats pulled out a nail-biting 14-6 win on a touchdown pass to Joe Pisula and a 44-yard run by Harry Johnson in the final minute of the fourth quarter.

1936 Bearcat Stadium opens on the part of campus that now houses the Boyer School of Science, Mathematics, and Computing. The distinct “Sauerkraut Tower,” which is still erected today, is located on the far sideline behind the Bearcat bench. 1937 The cost to operate a college football team for one season is speculated at upwards of $50,000. Costs range from uniforms to dry cleaning to advertisements. The entire coaching staff rounds up the most cash at $11,000.

1939 Joe Ratica, a 1939 Saint Vincent grad, becomes the first Bearcat football player to appear in the National Football League. The center/guard played eight games for Brooklyn as a rookie.

1943 Saint Vincent, like most small colleges across the country, cancels football prior to the 1943 season due to the large number of students drafted into World War II. 1944 The Saint Vincent grads make their professional debuts in the NFL. Vern Foltz, a tackle, plays 10 games for the Washington Redskins. Johnny Popovich debuts as a running back and kick returner for Philadelphia, while AllAmerican center Bap Manzini starts nine games for the Eagles.

1945 Another Saint Vincent alum, John Kondrla, makes his debut with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Later that season, Bap Manzini was named an NFL All-Pro in his second professional season.

1948 After succeeding Red Edwards in the 1947 season as head coach of the Bearcats, Bap Manzini returns to the NFL, signing with the Detroit Lions. Al DeLuca is named head coach, a position he will hold until football is disbanded at Saint Vincent in 1962. After retiring from the NFL in 1949, Manzini entered the high school coaching ranks, and amassed a career record of 203-74.8. 1949 Lincoln Service and Supply,Torris Drugs, and Mosso Bottling Company donate a new electronic scoreboard/clock to Bearcat Stadium.

1950 The Bearcats enjoy the most storied season in team history, finishing 10-0 and opening the season with six straight shutouts. For the season, they outscored opponents 235-12. The season is culminated with a 7-6 win over Emory and Henry in the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando, FL. Now known as the Citrus Bowl, it is the third longest running bowl game in college football.

1962 Citing costs, football is discontinued as a varsity program. Club football returns in 1968, and continues through the mid 1970’s.

1967 The Pittsburgh Steelers move their summer training camp to Saint Vincent College, and the team has returned to Latrobe in each of the past 42 summers.

2005 In June, then-Saint Vincent President Jim Will announces that football will return to the college, and the Bearcat athletic teams will move from the NAIA to the NCAA Division-III level and the Presidents’ Athletic Conference, beginning in the 2006-07 school year. In December, Bob Colbert is hired as Saint Vincent’s head football coach.

2007 On August 2nd, recently completed Chuck Noll Field, named after the longtime coach of the Pittsburgh Steel ers, is blessed and dedicated as the home of Bearcat football. Twenty-nine days later, on Sept. 1, football returns to Saint Vincent following a 45-year hiatus, as the Bearcats host Gallaudet University in front of an overflow crowd at Chuck Noll Field.

TEAM HISTORY

1946 Following the completion of World War II, football returns to Saint Vincent, and the Bearcats finish the season 4-4. Headcoach Red Edwards steps down following the season, retiring with a career record of 60-29-12. His winning percentage of .674 is still best among the seven head coaches in the program’s history.

1956 Saint Vincent graduate John Macerelli signs with the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, and plays 12 games at tackle.

CHUCK NOLL FIELD

Located in the southwest corner of campus at the base of the hill in front of Saint Benedict Hall - the freshmen dorm the field features a 225’ x 360’ natural grass playing surface, equipped with a computer-designed underground multilayer drainage system and an automatic sprinkler system. The field itself was installed in 2004 as part of a $1 million upgrade of the College’s athletic fields what also included other playing fields for soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, and softball. The approach to Chuck Noll field features an eight-foot wide

paved walkway leading from the spacious parking area on Saint Vincent Drive to an entrance plaza where patrons have access to the consessions, restrooms, and press box. Entry into the seating area is down one of four stairways descending from the plaza. The stadium’s seating capacity is approximately 1,100, with 21 rows of aluminum bench-style seats. The stadium is designed to permit expansion if College officials at a later date deem it advisable.

An 18’ x 35’ two-story brick and glass press box provides accomodations for sports information personnel, news media, visiting coaches, and college guests. Men’s and women’s restrooms and a concession stand are other features of the stadium, which can also be utilized for games by the men’s and women’s soccer and lacrosse teams. Tasso Katselas Architects of Pittsburgh were designers of Chuck Noll Field, while the Massaro Corporation was the general contractor.

CHUCK NOLL FIELD

Constructed in the summer of 2007, Chuck Noll Field is the home of Bearcat football. Named after Chuck Noll, a member of the National Football League Hall of Fame, the stadium was officially blessed and dedicated on August 2, 2007. In the summer months, the field is used for practice by the Pittsburgh Steelers, as the five-time World Champion has held its summer training camp at Saint Vincent each summer since 1967.

The College’s 200+ acre suburban campus is located at the foothills of the scenic Laurel Highlands, 35 miles east of the city of Pittsburgh. Saint Vincent was the first Benedictine foundation in the United States. The archabbey and college were founded in 1846 by Boniface Wimmer, a monk from the Benedictine Abbey of Metten in Bavaria. Saint Vincent College is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

The faculty at Saint Vincent numbers 210, 75 percent of which have earned their Doctorate or terminal degrees at prestigious schools including Catholic University, Notre Dame, Cornell, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, University of Chicago, and Yale. The student to faculty ratio is roughly 14 to 1, giving the students a very rich learning environment. Total undergraduate enrollment is slightly 1,800, with approximately 51 percent men and 49 percent women. Students hail from 27

The College offers 55 majors and minors throughout four schools of study. The schools include the Alex G. Saint Vincent College is proud to call itself the summer home of the Pittsburgh Steelers, as for each of the past 41 years, the six-time Super Bowl champions use the College as its summer training camp. For six weeks in mid-July through late August, the Steelers use the same athletic facilities that Saint Vincent College student-athletes utilize throughout the school year, including three grass fields located in the middle of campus that are equipped with state-of-the-art drainage. In addition, the Steelers also use the same fitness center and locker rooms as the Bearcats, as well as the Resnick Swimming Pool, the Robert S. Carey Student Center gymnasium, and the athletic training center.

The Bearcat football team calls Chuck Noll Field, constructed in 2007, its home. The1,200-seat natural grass facility remains in top notch condition following the departure of the Steelers in the summer, as do the two full-sized adjacent practice fields, used solely by the Bearcat football team.

Following the construction of Chuck Noll Field, Saint Vincent saw another beautiful surface installed on campus in the spring of 2009, when a multi-purpose artificial turf field was constructed. Used by soccer and field hockey in the fall and lacrosse in the spring, the natural grass surface also allows the Bearcat football team a practice facility when soggy conditions may render the natural grass practice fields unplayable. While the playing and practice fields are top-notch, Saint Vincent student-athletes also have access to some of the finest conditioning and training facilities in small-college athletics. The SVC fitness center, built in 2003, houses numerous free weights, machines, and cardio equipment, while Bearcat student-athletes have the privelege of receiving first-class training and therapy treatments in the spacious SVC athletic training center, also built in 2003 and located in the Carey Center.

The Saint Vincent College Sports Information Department would like to welcome you to the 2009 Bearcat Football season! We hope the 2009 Bearcat Football Media Guide can serve a varietey of purposes for the media, fans, families, and alumni. We appreciate your interest in the Saint Vincent football program.

The Saint Vincent College Sports Information Office provides complete information and media services for the schoolâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s 20 varsity sports. The office is responsible for all public and media relations pertaining to athletics, athletic department publications, the athletic departmentâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Web site, statistical and historical record keeping for all sports, and other promotional activities regarding the athletic department. The Saint Vincent Sports Information Office is located on the second floor of the Robert S. Carey Center.

INTERVIEWS: All interviews with college coaches, athletes, and staff members much be arranged through the Sports Information Department. After games, locker rooms are closed to the public. Player and coach interviews, however, can be conducted following each game on the field beginning 10 minutes following the conclusion of the game. The visiting teams will determine their locker room/interview policies.

STATISTICS: Statistical summaries will be available during the game at the conclusion of each quarter. Following the game, complete statistical summaries will be available to all working media in the press box, while the complete playby-play summaries are also available by request. Please allow 20 minutes following the game for statistics to be completed. Prior to the game, all statistical information will be found on the Saint Vincent athletic website at www.stvincent.edu/football. GAME DAY INFORMATION: Rosters, depth charts, and game notes will be distributed to media members who will be in attendance, and to visiting college sports information directors, no later than the Thursday before game day. All of this information, as well as the game day program, will also be distributed in the Chuck Noll Field press box on gameday. RADIO/PHONE LINES: All requests for radio lines must be made to Jeff Zidek no later than the Wednesday before game day.

PHOTO REQUESTS: Photos of all coaches and players are available electronically by contacting the Sports Information Department. Photo requests may also be sent via e-mail to sports@stvincent.edu.

MEDIA INFORMATION

MEDIA CREDENTIALS: Media credentials are availble through the Sports Information Office by contacting Jeff Zidek via phone (724-805-2476) or e-mail (jeff.zidek@email.stvincent.edu). We ask that working media reserve space in the Chuck Noll Field press box no later than the Wednesday of the week of the game. Due to extreme space limitations in the Chuck Noll Field press box, credentials will be issued on a first come, first served basis. Credentials will be handed out in the Chuck Noll Field press box on game day beginning two hours before kickoff.

BROADCAST DVD SALES: DVD copies of the broadcasts of all 10 Bearcat games - home and away - are available for purchase through the Saint Vincent Sports Information Department. Games can be purchased individually ( ) or in a fullseason package. In addition, games from each of the past three seasons are also available for purchase. The broadcast team of Dow Carnahan, Jim Jones, and Mike Porembka call the action, while all camera, graphics, and production work is done by Saint Vincent College students.

For the fourth straight season, Saint Vincent College will team up with WCNS 1480-AM and the Red Zone Media Network to bring you Bearcat football action each week. Dow Carnahan will handle the play-by-play, Jim Jones the color commentary, and Mike Pokremba the sideline reporting for each broadcast. While each game can be heard live locally on 1480 WCNS, they will also be available online at www.redzonemedia.com, where they will be heard live and then archived. In addition, each game will be aired locally on SVC-TV, featuring the announcing of Carnahan, Jones, and Pokremba, and the camera work of Saint Vincent College student workers.
