ith the Dorset Cup game today against Wareham, our focus remains the same. Last weekend, against Southampton Women’s I felt that our ladies had improved since we played them on the opening day of the season I’m expecting a hard game this weekend and I know my players are focused, not just on winning, but winning the right way by playing good football. I look forward to the challenge of Wareham and the Dorset Cup. I don’t know much about Wareham, but we will give them the same respect as we give all the teams we face.

Poole Town Ladies’ skipper Becca Witherington says Poole’s new players should embrace this important tournament

W

e have met Wareham on numerous occasions in the Dorset Cup over the years. Each time, they’ve given us a good game and I’ve no doubt today will be the same.

We have to keep focused, play our football and most of all enjoy it. A lot of our new players won’t have taken part in this cup before, so hopefully they will make the most of it and try to help us retain the cup this season.
