Summer at the Hamptons brings businesses together
On Thursday, July 11, the Hallandale Beach Area Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with The Aventura Marketing Council, hosted Summer at the Hamptons. The event, which was attended by 125 guests and featured catered food, Pineapple bowling as as well as some great door prizes, was a great way for members and potential members from each organization to make some valuable contacts. One of the highlights of the event was Pageant Ladies, Marissa Gasper, Miss Vero Beach, and Stephanie Jacques who will be competing in the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant.

It was never etched in stone that thoroughbred racing was going to be the only reason people would flock to this iconic facility. There needed to be more, and while the many restaurants and specialty shops are nice, getting this property to where it needs to be - is an objec-
tive that everyone has been after. The plans have already been talked about - and now - Hallandale Beach and Gulfstream Park will have that chance to build on the racing, casinos and overall reputation with a much anticipated expansion project that will cost over a half a billion dollars. "This is a great opportunity for this city and its many businesses to finally have that exposure needed to survive - in any economic climate," Hallandale Beach Commissioner Bill Julian pointed out.
