When it comes to breast cancer awareness, the month of October has watched the entire country embrace this important and life-changing disease.

As she spoke to those who wanted to find out more, she continued to relive a painful story that began when she was 44. Sixth Annual Cardboard Boat Race set for this Saturday in Hollywood HOLLYWOOD Ladies and gentlemen, start your paddles! It’s time for the City of Hollywood’s 6th annual Cardboard Boat Race! On Saturday, October 18 a crowd will gather at the Hollywood Marina, 700 Polk Street, to cheer on racers as they paddle across the waters of North Lake in their cardboard creations. Teams will go headto-head to compete for the traditional first, second and third place trophies, as well as “Most Spectacular Sinking,” “Most Creative Design” and “People’s Choice”. The only thing that Dr. Roger Nydick and Dr. Adrian Salmon had in common before visiting Dr. Stanley Braverman for corrective eye surgery is they both had suffered from poor vision that prevented each from living a normal and productive life.
