Member of the monthh!

Message from our president Now that business has been slowing down and the numbers are dwindling. It thins the members to the dedicated individuals. We are retaining a great amount of members however, they seem reluctant. I appreciate all the effort that all the members put in for hours. I enjoy serving them and offering opportunities for them to succeed. I see many potential candidates for future positions and I'm proud to see them have such great interest, a thing that I saw in myself. My wish is for an amazing rest of the term. And to compose an extremely magnificent board for the next year.

mESSAGE FROM OUR EDITOR

Happy Holidays everyone! I love december so much. Its fiilled with so much joy and giving! Which is great for us key clubbers! Which is why our winter potluck and secret santa is so anticipated, its nice to know that somoeone you dont even know cares enough to bring food and a gift, but you know you love seeing your secret santa’s face light up with joy! This month we have lots of winter community service and social’s planned. Along with the December DCM! Which is always open to members. Im hoping that over winter break our members continue to do community service and spread the holiday love.

WINTER POTLUCK

On December 5th, we held our annual Secret Santa and Winter potluck. This is a chance for our members to relax and be with everyone before the

last week of school before winter break. This way we can squeeze one more informational meeting before the month ends, and the new year rolls in. But this year, we added a service project! The board called different hotels asking for extra tolietries and they all generously donated, so then we gathered them all up. Then bought some brown paper b ags and ties. With this, we had members line up and assemle a brown paper bag as a ticket to get to the food quicker. The bag had to include: shampoo, lotion and conditioner. Then they had to desgin the bag, saying something nice since we plan to donate them all during the holidays.

UPCOMING EVENT:

WHAT IS RELAY FOR LIFE? Relay is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path. This event is 12 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Cancer patients don't stop because they're tired, and for one night, neither do we.Each team sets up a themed campsite at the event and continues their fundraising efforts by collecting donations for food, goods, games, and activities. This money will count towards their overall team fundraising goal! To register for a team the current registration fee is $10 online and $20 in person at kickoff. Our group is here: http://main.acsevents.org/goto/SWCTA Remember that Relay for Life will be an overnight event and will be on April 28, 2017 to April 29,2017 from 6pm-6am!
