SERVICE "I volunteered for girls in tech which was an event where we taught middle school girls about our tech programs. The volunteer experience was extremely enjoyable as I was able to meet many people and in fact fascinate many middle school girls about video production which was the program/elective I was a mentor for. I was a mentor along with Jasmine Lauresta, Casey Joseph, Eldina Mrkulic, and Ximin Lei. I enjoyed the event very much! I would definitely do the event again in order to recruit many girls into the technological field or video production. I believe more females should be incorporated into the tech field and this event was a great way to involve females into the field." ~ Alyana Arciaga

"The event I volunteered for was a great learning experience for teaching and being an influence. Girls in Tech 2020 was a event that is meant to lift girls' confidence, praise their passions, and let them know that the technology industry needs more female leaders and innovators. As a girl in the web design program at Southwest CTA, I found that the message of the event resonated with me. I volunteered as an instructor for the web design program. I introduced the world of HTML and CSS to future innovators and I allowed for the girls' creativity to be interpreted in a technological aspect. Overall, Girls in Tech 2020 was a great opportunity to spread a positive message." ~ Mhyraquel Quinto
