Megen Lopez Member of the month!
Message from our President The year is just starting up and I’m excited for the events that are coming up, I personally will be attending some of the events that are planned. RTC is around the corner but that doesn’t stop us from having service and most importantly, having fun! As a senior, the school year is pretty busy but I have found ways to make time for everything I need to get done. Especially Key Club things. Hope for another great year and another victory at RTC, Southwest CTA will always be doing their best! -

Message From Our Editor WHOS THE BEST?! SOUTHWEST SOUTHWEST! This month has been super busy ocne again
with Regional Training Conference and Senior year. But as per usual, we are trying our hardest by
making sure that our members are ready for RTC! We have had two meetings planned prior to
October 15th, just to be extra sure that we are
prepared! We encouraged members to make spirit gearand to be on their best behavior. Since we are reigning champions, we are coming back for that spirit stick!

RTC IS COMING On October 3rd, we held a mandatory meeting for members who are attending RTC. We had a pretty good tun out! This was our opportunity to get our members together and practice as a club and fix a few cheers that we’re a little wonky but thats all apart of the learning experience of key club! Patience is key when teaching cheers, we all learned that as a club which helped bring board together and work together more to create a more unified club After this meetng, we had two more the following week.We are all ready and prepared for RTC this week on October 15th! Southwest is coming back for that spirit stick.
“The meeting we had today was to prepare us for the upcoming Regional Training Conference at Green Valley High School. During this meeting I split them all into groups to practice and learn the cheers that our board had created. We hope that all the members are prepared for the event, but most importantly had fun! I want this year to be memorable for everyone and I wish for them to do Key Club for many years to come” -Shawn Wang

"The Alzheimer's walk was one of the most unforgettable volunteering experiences I have. We cheered the walkers from the start to the end. We hope that we can give them strength and let them understand that they can do it and finish the walk. I'm really glad that I get to cheer the walkers when I see how hard they are trying to get to the finish line." -Hillary Cheung
