Charity Miles

“Volunteering for Charity Miles is always very fun, because it encourages me to exercise + I am raising money for our club's preferred organization. I usually do an indoor walk on my treadmill, or an outdoor walk with my dogs to get miles. I love walking, as well as doing other cardio exercises (like running in place), because I know it is healthy for me.”

“It is a great way to fill in time when you’re bored, doing nothing, or before you sleep. The best part of it all is that you’re also benefiting tons of people from around the globe. I’d really recommend others to participate in FreeRice as it is such a simple way to feed and assist those in need.”

Katie Landry “The first meeting of the school year went very well. It was great to be back in-person and get to see everyone again, along with seeing what was planned for the meeting. The icebreakers were very fun. I could tell everyone was enjoying themselves, including myself.”

Shem Sarmiento “Key Club’s first meeting was amazing, informative, and actually really fun! The icebreakers and activities we did were interactive and it was a wonderful way to meet new people. I am excited to be joining key club and can’t wait for the activities in the future :D”

Daman Sandhu (VP of Fundraising) “The first Key Club meeting was full of both excitement and nervousness for me. It was pretty different from being online because on video calls, we would just be shown the number of people in the call and although it was a bit intimidating, you don’t really process how many people are actually there. So, seeing all those people in person and also more people showing up than we expected was definitely a “wow” moment.”

Alyssa Miguel (Junior Representative) “Our first Key Club meeting was one of the best school moments I’ve had in a really long time. It was super chaotic since our attendance number was so large, but fun nonetheless. We talked about what a key club is, its organizational structure, and the overall requirements to be a member. By far the best part was the icebreakers though; everybody was participating, and it was so nice to see all of our great members!”
