project

1:

This project was an introduction to the softeware, 3Ds Max. The students were required to design or copy an abstract sculpture on the software and explore the different functions and possibilities of the software. For my sculpture I decided to be a bit edgy and ambiguous. Since this project was the first one, I had helped from the two different tutorial lecturers on how to make the project worthwhile. It was an interesting project, if I may add. It showed me that computer-based software designs could be used in a whole new level and that it was definitely not an easy task. Though, I really did enjoy this project.

learning outcome

•To produce a 3D model of an abstract sculpture and AEC objects using 3Ds Max. • To record Work in Progress (WIP) as progressive evidence of the working process.

project

2a:

• Produce photorealistic still renderings of the selected building with materials, lighting, camera views and site context. • To record Work in Progress (WIP) as progressive evidence of the working process.

objectives

This project required us to apply Environment Mapping as background and explore materials, lightings and furniture models. We were requird to produce two different renderings, exterior (left) and interior (right). This project thought me how to equip my design or 3d model with furnitures and play with the lightings. It also thought me to play with the different angles for the camera and produce renderings right from it.

Animation

objectives

• Produce photorealistic animation renders • To record Work in Progress (WIP) as progressive evidence of working in progress.

learning outcome

To continue from Project 2, Project 3 required us to produce an animation video by using 3Ds Max and show the different exterior and interior scenes by camera paths and animated renderings. We were asked to explore our imaginations, inventiveness and story telling abilities when creating the animation. For my animation video, I decided to explore my mind. Although, after a long while, I found out that my mind was always just exploring things and absorbing informations like it was an empty space that will never become full. But eventually, after much thoughts, I could not handle it and may burst into stress and tensions sometimes. This animation shows much literal description of my mind.
