reddy Tschumi, founder of the brand, is extremely proud of the fact that the splendid prize has now headed to the company’s Geneva headquarters. Its transparency is reminiscent of the glass flanks of the T-Mechanic, which open onto the workings of a genuine watch mechanism built in series. This key reference reveals the Roller T-Mechanism to the world, a roller inspired from watchmaking. And the award comes right at the same time as the company’s breakthrough onto the American market. «Initially spotted by watchmaking aficionados and watch collectors, the brand TF Est. 1968, an iconic symbol of Swiss manufacture and trendy luxury, is increasingly attracting the eye of other consumer targets and
enthusiasts. Customers range from fans of writing instruments to all those who consider modern elegance in an accessory to be important down to the last detail,» said Alexis Sarkissian, founder of TWI, Totally Worth It, the distributing company for the brand TF Est. 1968 in the US, Canada and the Caribbean. Organized by the publisher of Pen World and his team and held in the presence of The Watch Journal, the awards evening went off with a bang on 1st June 2014 at the Wynn Hotel and Casino Las Vegas. The venue is one where the Swiss brand, known for its cufflinks, writing implements, key chains and watches, feels especially at home with its collections dedicated to the gambling world.

With its new Joker cufflinks from the Casino collection, the Swiss brand TF Est. 1968 brings into play another of its identifying hallmarks: the movement. And it now comes with a playful, mischievous, fun twist. The dial features six apertures, arranged symmetrically with a flange in a red
and black checkered design reminiscent of a roulette wheel. The numbers are printed on a band that spins on the barrel at the slightest touch. The band itself is mounted between two ball bearings. On the upper one is a disc bearing typical gambling motifs
on a white background. And staring out from the center of the dial is the Joker, with his wicked and taunting grin, tempting anyone to try his or her luck. The picture is covered in a sapphire crystal with antireflective treatment.

Bare micromechanics Roller Tourbillon Open Side LEATHER AND TRANSPARENCY GLORIFIED: COMPACT, THIN AND TAPERED. IT WILL BE DISPLAYED AT OVER 500 HOROLOGICAL POINTS OF SALE. Its transparency is alluring, and the perpetual movement inside displays well its playful spirit. Thus, to the great joy of aficionados of watchmaking and unusual writing implements, the Tourbillon Open Side pen continues
to reveal – in the style of a genuine manufacture – the authentic gearwheels of part of a watch’s movement. And this time, the pen does so not only on its upper tip, but also sideways, as it were, on the upper lateral section. And the mechanism is visible through a sapphire crystal, ultra-resistant and scratchproof.
Trendy colors, a weapon of mass seduction In its latest version, the Tourbillon Open Side continues to seduce with vigor: it is soft to the touch, a delight to caress, sits well in the hand, and facilitates the flow of ideas on paper. It still rests in its noble casing, a start of, or a link in, a chain made up of an endless choice of cufflinks, key chains, or other writing implements of an horological nature, and all branded TF Est. 1968.
A band of embossed crocodile leather covers the upper section, which adds to the grip comfort and produces the wonderful haptic feel of a noble and sensual material. The X stitching, inspired by the greatest French saddle-maker, hides away discreetly under a clip, whose robustness and suppleness are characteristic of the TF Est. 1968 brand, 1968. The Schmidt system used for the attachment is made up of 58 parts. It will not only last forever, but will also avoid damage to pockets and the lapels of fine shirts or jackets. No wonder it is so highly valued by connoisseurs. It is compatible with all the regular refills on the market.

A watch movement uncovers itself without any shame «Each Tourbillon Open Side roller is numbered. And each one belongs to a color family that combines contrasts with esthetic exactitude. For instance, the rose gold hue, the product of the finest type of plating, melds with brown leather. The steel or gun-metal hue, a matt surface tending towards allblack with an industrial countenance, plays around with black leather,» says Freddy Tschumi, founder of TF Est. 1968. This creative spirit is a well-known figure in watch markets and international distribution.
