IDEA 3UNCOVERING THE PAST
To create a space where all residents in the block can feel Reversi brings in the excitement of what can be different everyday. We have selected images that highlight the uniqueness of the spaces in TPY by printing them onto the circles. By flipping them, people are allowed to observe what is beneath it and learn words of interaction such as ‘hello’ in different languages and dialects. There is a sense of continuity throughout the experience as most of the designs engages with the shape of a circle. (which represents unity) Tinted colour gel are placed within the circular opening of the buildings so as to engage users to look through it, giving them a new perspective of the outside. Every perspective is an opportunity of memories to be foreseen and acknowledged. At the end of the day, it encourages residents to notice their surroundings before it is too late and helps to reinforce the interaction of people coming together. As they say, Unity makes strength (团结就是力量).
