The spirited season of Yuletide in Taos, taking place from Thanksgiving to January every year, is still stirring pots of joy in every heart of every town and village in Northern New Mexico and beyond. The glow of holiday lights is such a blessing for pandemonium-piqued perspectives.
With winter comes the joy and adventure of skiing and boarding; fragrant wisps of cedar and piñon smoke snaking from chimneys; deep red from ristras peeking out from under a blanket of fresh snow; steaming bowls of posole and sweet biscochitos; farolito-lit walkways; and historic folk dramas reminding us of the meaning of the season.
So, take it all in, because it only comes around once a year. It bears repeating, the holiday season in Taos is one of the best.
