NEW BRANCH CLINIC Clement Town, Uttarakhand For the past fifty years (19612011), Men-Tsee-Khang has opened 55 branch clinics in India to provide a traditional Tibetan system of healing to the Tibetan and local Indian communities. The 56th branch clinic was opened at Clement Town in Dehradun. It was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, His Eminence the Minling Khenchen Rinpoche on 1st April, 2012 at 10A.M. there and gave consultation to 605 patients during her eight day trip to the above areas. Besides treatment, she gave health talk on Tibetan Medicine, Prevention of disorders, Diet Restrictions and Behavior. The most common disorders affecting the people in those areas are rheumatoid arthritis, gastritis, blood related disorders, hypertension, hepatitis B and diabetes. The first group started from April 30 - 2 May, 2012 and there were 9 participants. In the second (7-8 May) and third group (14-16 May) there were around 10 participants each.
Around 30 staff of the institute had the opportunity to learn and develop the skills in giving presentation to the public and the audience. This has immensely benefitted not only the employees who are in this particular field but also to those who can use the ideas in their daily office work.
This is an opportunity given to the doctors, astrologers and the staff to improve the art of communicating and presenting oneself in front of the public. The presentation deals with the physical as well as the mental as-
pects as an important part of public speaking. Communication is also important, as Men-Tsee-Khang
