Vol. 60 MEDICAL CAMP/AWARENESS PROGRAMME
Ladakh Men-Tsee-Khang Cultural Centre in collaboration with Tibetan Primary Healthcare Centre (TPHCC), and HelpAge India Ladakh organized a mass awareness campaign on AIDS at the main square of Leh Market on 1 December 2018.

Association of Dharamsala. Men-Tsee-Khang team of one doctor and six support staff conducted the medical camp on 10 and 11 December 2018 at Tsuglagkhang courtyard. The team provided health consultations to 51 patients and charity amounting to Rs. 2,481.32 was given to poor and needy patients. Sankisa Men-Tsee-Khang organized a medical camp during the teachings of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama at Sankisa, Uttar Pradesh from 2-5 December 2018 at the request of the Youth Buddhist Society (YBS) of India. The medical camp was led by Dr. Tenzin Lhadon, Visiting Physician to H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama and two support staff: Mrs. Tenzin Chemi and Mr. Tenzin Norbu. The doctor rendered 247 health consultations and advised on healthy lifestyle.
The Chief Guest Shri. Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Chief Executive Councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council emphasized the importance of health to more than 500 people. The staff of TPHCC, MenTsee-Khang and HelpAge India visited Agling Settlement, Choglamsar Zampa areas and Choglam intersection near CRO to spread awareness on AIDS. The programme was aired on Doordarshan Leh, Nyamdrel Cable of Sonamling and Gulistan News Network. It was also published in Reach Ladakh, and Press Club of Leh District newsletters. Dharamsala Men-Tsee-Khang participated in the Himalayan Festival in conjunction with the Nobel Peace Prize celebration organized on 10 December by the Indo-Tibetan Friendship
