MEDICAL CAMP
Dharamsala A medical camp was carried out by Men-Tsee-Khang from 3-4 March, 2018 post the teaching of His Holiness the Dalai Lama on the Jataka Tales followed by a teaching on Tsongkhapa's In Praise of Dependent Origination (tendrel toepa) at the Tsuglakhang Main Temple, Dharamsala. The team comprised of a Tibetan Astro-Science Practitioner, three doctors, and six staff members. The doctors and Tibetan Astro-Science Practitioner provided 164 health consultations and 6 oral-astro consultations respectively. Herbal products and books by and about His Holiness the Dalai Lama were displayed to the public. Charity amounting to Rs. 21,292.66 was given to the poor and needy patients. March, 2018 at Men-Tsee-Khang college hall. The teaching was extracted from the 10th chapter of Yonten Rinpoche Zoe (Treasury of Precious Qualities) authored by Rigzin Jigmey Lingpa. Apart from the teaching, Rinpoche preached knowledge on the most essential subjects of Buddha Dharma and encouraged the audience to indulge more positive virtues in their day to day practice. Rinpoche also gave practical sessions on General Yoga, Gegsel Duetsi Gyatso (Ocean of Nectar Dissipating Obstacles) and practice of Samatha. Men-Tsee-Khang college students, interested doctors and astro-science practitioners were present at the teaching. WORKSHOP Workshop on Tibetan Medicine Men-Tsee-Khang organized a workshop on Tibetan Medicine from 12-23 March, 2018 at Men-Tsee-Khang college hall. The workshop aimed to provide theoretical and clinical observation in accordance with Tibetan Medicine. The ten participants were medical professionals from Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil who attended the morning class carried out by the esteem speakers Dr. Pema Tsetso, Dr. Namdol Lhamo, College Lecturers; Dr. Tenzin Lhundup, Dr. Sonam Wangmo, and Dr. Sonam Dolkar Oshoe, Research and Development Department.

Interactive sessions were conducted. An exhibition showcasing thangkas of Tibetan Medicine (Sowa-Rigpa) and Astro-Science, charts of medicinal plants, herbal products and books by and about His Holiness the Dalai Lama was displayed to the public.
Besides the workshop, the participants were given a guided tour to the Museum and Pharmacy unit of MenTsee-Khang.
Delhi A 4- Day event themed as “Healthy Body, Healthy Mind: Celebrating 102 years of Men-Tsee-Khang’s Health Services” and commemoration of 57th Anniversary of Men-Tsee-Khang was organized by Men-Tsee-Khang from 17-20 March, 2018 at Nizamuddin, New Delhi. The event was inaugurated by Kasur Dongchung Ngodup, Representative of the Bureau Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, on the evening of 16 March.
HEALTHY BODY, HEALTHY MIND: 102 YEARS OF MENTSEE-KHANG’S HEALTH SERVICES Jaipur Men-Tsee-Khang (Sowa-Rigpa) hosted a 3-Day event themed as “Healthy Body, Healthy Mind: Celebrating 102 years of Men-Tsee-Khang’s Health Services” from 13-15 March, 2018 at Jaipur. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Manoj Bharswaj, Deputy Mayor of Nagar Nigam Jaipur. A team of 11 members: Dr. Tenzin Thaye, one of the visiting physicians to H.H the Dalai Lama and Dr. Tsultrim Kalsang, Deputy Head of Materia Medica Department, Ms. Tenzin Tsundue, Tibetan Astro-Science Practitioner (TASP), Ms. Tenzin Gaiphel, P.A to Director and event coordinator, Mrs. Tenzin Norlha, Head of Quality Control Department, Dharamsala and 6 support staff of MenTsee-Khang Dharamsala, Chauntra and Delhi visited Jaipur. A total of 779 patients received free health consultations and 68 free oral consultations were provided to the interested individual. An exhibition displaying rich tradition of Tibetan Medicine (Sowa-Rigpa) and AstroScience was the highlight of the event.

HEALTHY BODY, HEALTHY MIND: CELEBRATING 102 YEARS OF MEN-TSEE-KHANG’S SERVICES” Our Centenary outreach tours to Australia, USA East Coast/Canada, Singapore, Russia, Europe, Taiwan, USA West Coast and South America conducted between March 23, 2016 to March 23, 2017 had been a great success due to the efforts of various support groups. Above all, the encouragements we received and the experiences we gained, contributed to our initiating another world tour. Our tours to various places in India had also been a great success. Our outreach tour to USA West Coast (September 15-October 17), USA East Coast & Canada (October 1-November 6) and Europe (October 5-November 16) in 2017 was a great success. We plan to conduct similar outreach tours (health consultations, oral-astro consultations, lectures/ workshops on Tibetan Medicine & Tibetan Astroscience, exhibition, sale of sorig & health products) every year. A 5-member team are scheduled to visit Argentina (April 9-25), Colombia (April 26- May 3) and Brazil (May 4-18).
