South America To mark the 100th founding Anniversary of Men-TseeKhang, South America outreach tour from 23 March to 3 May, 2017 was led by Dr. Tenzin Lhazey, Chief Resident Doctor of Paonta Branch Clinic accompanied by Dr. Norchung, Documentation and Publication Department; Mrs. Lhamo Yangchen, Tibetan Astro-Science Practitioner; Mr. Phuntsok Rigzin, Chief Accountant and Mr. Tenzin Choekyab, Head of Medicine and Sales section.
The tour was successful owing to the support from Mrs. Carolina, Mrs. Gloria Bredice, the Founder and Director of Tendrel Fundacion; Lama Rinchen Khadro and Lama Sangye, the Founder and Director of Kagyue
The team toured Cordoba, Rosario, Buenos Aires in Argentina; Arica and Santiago in Chile; Lima in Peru and Sao Paulo in Brazil. Series of lectures on Tibetan Medicine and Astro-Science, and workshops on Tibetan Medical Massage, yearly prediction and marital compatibility were conducted. The doctors and Astro-Science Practitioner provided health consultations and oral-astro consultations to the people. Exhibitions on Tibetan Medicine and AstroScience were other special features of the programme.
Thekchen Choling; Deputy Vlado Mirosevic, the National President of Chile’s Liberal Party; Mr. Fernando Salinas, Chavu-Verastegui, Mr. Tsewang Phuntsok, Tibet House Brazil; Luiza Hiromi Tanaka, volunteers and supporters in Argentina, Chile, Peru and Brazil. COURSE Tibetan Medicine Course in English Tibetan Medical and Astro. College of Men-Tsee-Khang organized a 6 - day course on Tibetan Medicine in English from 22 to 30 May, 2017 at the Men-Tsee-Khang hall.
In South America, the team delivered 45 lectures, 4 workshops on Tibetan Medical Massage, 8 workshops on Tibetan Astro-Science, 231 health consultations, and 121 oral-astro consultations. 3 interviews on Tibetan Medicine
This course was given to a group of doctors and students from the University of Minnesota. This is the twelfth time since Men-Tsee-Khang and the Center for Spirituality and Tibetan Healing Initiative, University of Minnesota has collaborated in this venture.
