101 YEARS OF HEALTH CARE SERVICE
USA West Coast To mark the 101 Founding Anniversary of Men-TseeKhang, outreach tour to USA West Coast was organized by Men-Tsee-Khang from 15 September to 17 October,

Europe To celebrate the 101 years of Health Care Service, MenTsee-Khang organized outreach tour to Europe from 6 October to 16 November, 2017. A team led by Dr. Migmar Lhamo, Chief Resident Sowa-Rigpa Doctor of Ahmedabad branch clinic; Tibetan Astro-Science Practitioner (TASP) Mrs. Tenzin Yanki, Astro. Department and Mrs. Passang Lhamo, Head of Medicine Store and Sale Section, Dharamsala; and Ms. Dawa Lhamo, Nizamuddin branch clinic visited Germany, Switzerland, France and Spain. The outreach programme included health consultations, oral-astro consultations and exhibition on Sorig products, and Thangkas of Tibetan medicine and Astro-Science. Dr. Migmar Lhamo and TASP Mrs. Tenzin Yanki gave 8 lectures on Tibetan medicine and 4 talks on Tibetan Astro-Science.
2017. The tour was headed by Dr. Tenzin Nyima, Chief Resident Sowa-Rigpa Doctor of Majnu-Ka-Tilla branch clinic, Delhi, accompanied by Tibetan Astro-Science Practitioner (TASP) Mrs. Lhamo Yangchen, Astro. Department; Mrs. Tsering Tsomo, Account Section and Mrs. Tenzin Dickey, Manager for Branch clinics.
The team visited Frankfurt, Bonn, Luftelberg, Hamburg in Germany; Baar, Jona, Wadenswil, Zurich, Olten, Basel in Switzerland; Monnetier Mornex and Toulouse in France
The team toured Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco Bay Areas in Northern California, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles in Southern California. The 33-day tour successfully concluded with 188 health consultations and 81 oral-astro consultations; series of lectures on Tibetan medicine and Astro-Science, and exhibitions on Sorig products and Thangkas of Tibetan medicine and Astro-Science.

Delhi A 5-Day Men-Tsee-Khang Wellness Camp themed as 101 Years of Health Service was held at East Nizamuddin, New-Delhi from 1-5 November, 2017.

and Ms. Sonam Tsamchoe gave oral-astro consultations to 63 people during the event. Exhibition on Tibetan medicine and Astro-Science, panel discussions, series of lectures on Tibetan medicine and Astro-Science, and testimony by the patients sharing their positive experience with Tibetan medicine were the main highlights of the event. A separate stall was setup for Men-Tsee-Khang products and books by and about H. H. the Dalai Lama. To support the initiatives of Men-Tsee-Khang, 13 new people subscribed for FOM (Friends of Men-Tsee-Khang).

Mumbai A 4-Day Men-Tsee-Khang wellness camp was jointly organized by Men-Tsee-Khang and K. J. Somaiya Ayurvihar at K. J. Somaiya Hospital & Research Center at Sion, Mumbai from 23–26 November, 2017. The team from Men-Tsee-Khang Dharamsala was led by Dr. Tenzin Thaye, Visiting Physician to H. H. the Dalai Lama; Dr. Passang Wangdu, Lecturer and Tibetan AstroScience Practitioner Mrs. Sonam Palmo, Vice-Principal of Men-Tsee-Khang College; Mrs. Tenzin Kalden, Products Promotion Panel Department; Mr. Tenzin Desel, Body, Mind and Life Department; and Mrs. Sonam Yangdon, P.A to Director. Dr. Kelsang Dolma, Chief Resident SowaRigpa Doctor and the staff from Navi Mumbai clinic also assisted in carrying out the programme.

The wellness camp offered counseling on diet and lifestyle, treatment based on Tibetan medicine and oral-astro consultations. A separate stall was setup for Men-Tsee-Khang products and books by and about His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
A total of 221 patients were provided health consultations according to Tibetan traditional medicine (Sowa-Rigpa) and 20 people received oral-astro consultations. In support of such initiatives by Men-Tsee-Khang, 7 people subscribed for FOM (Friends of Men-Tsee-Khang) membership. CONFERENCE/ WORKSHOP Dharamsala On 4 November, 2017, fifty students and two faculties of Men-Tsee-Khang College attended the Conference on Science, Spirituality & World Peace at Government Degree College Auditorium at Kacheri, Dharamsala.
November, 2017 Mr. Rajindra Khuba, and Mr. Rajkumar for providing free conference hall and accommodation to the participants. 6th Body, Mind & Life Conference, Mumbai The 6th Body, Mind and Life Conference was held from 22-23 November, 2017 at Somaiya Vidyavihar in Mumbai on the theme “Prevention of Mental Disorders.� The event was jointly organized by K. J. Somaiya Centre for Buddhist Studies and Body, Mind and Life Department of Men-Tsee-Khang. Mr. Dharmesh Shah, CEO of Meshco Steels and also mentor and sponsor for the 6th Body, Mind and Life conference.
The conference was organized by Bhaktivedanta Institute, a centre for advanced studies in Science and Vedanta associated with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, Karnal. His Holiness the Dalai Lama was the keynote speaker and inaugurated the session followed by other prominent speakers who gave talks on the theme of the day. A group of Men-Tsee-Khang students performed Tibetan dance at the end of the inaugural session. Kalaburagi Men-Tsee-Khang organized a Workshop on Clinical and Pharmacy Practice at Kalaburagi branch Clinic from 1416 November, 2017. On 14 November, Kalaburagi branch clinic celebrated its 3rd Anniversary at the clinic hall. The Chief Guest on the occasion, Shri Allam Prabu Khuba (Clinic Sponsor) was welcomed by Mr. Tashi Tsering Phuri, Director of Men-Tsee-Khang. The resource persons for the workshop and the 25 participating doctors attended the function. During the 2-day workshop held at New Khuba Kalyan Matapa, Dr. Yeshi Khando and Dr. Dorjee Rabten Neshar presented their topics on Clinical Practice according to their experiences while Dr. Tenzin Yeshi spoke on Clinical Research. Dr. Thupten Gyaltsen and Dr. Kyizom gave their presentations on Pharmacy and Clinical Practice. While speaking to the audience, Mr. Dhondup Palden, South Zone Branch Manager discussed the setup and function of Administrative tasks of South Zone Branches. The esteemed speakers for the conference were: Geshema Tenzin Kunsel and Ven. Lobsang Gonpo for Buddhist Psychology; Dr. Passang Wangdue, Tibetan Medicine; TASP Mrs. Sonam Palmo, Tibetan AstroScience; Dr. Subhas Singh, Homeopathic Medicine; Dr. T. Thirunarayanan, Siddha Medicine; Dr. Niranjan Gogia, Yoga Therapy; Dr. Aashish Phadke, Ayurveda and Dr. Natasha Kate Kothari, Western Medical Science. In his welcome address, the Director of Men-Tsee-Khang, Mr. Tashi Tsering Phuri, highlighted the importance of spreading awareness on mental health in the 21st century, taking the initiative by organizing conferences twice in a year, one at Dharamsala and another one at a metropolitan city in India. He further announced that in the coming year, the 7th Conference of Body, Mind and Life will be held in Delhi. The Chief Guest Shri V. Ranganathan, Honorary Secretary of Somaiya Trust addressed the gathering. Participants for the workshop included public, Tibetan College students, students from Somaiya Ayurvihar, guests from Tibetan Sweater Seller Association (TSSA) Mumbai and staff from Somaiya Buddhist Centre, summing up to a total of around 130 participants.
FREE MEDICAL CAMP Jangthang, Leh Ladakh Men-Tsee-Khang Culture Centre Leh, Ladakh organized a free medical camp at Jangthang from 18 to 27 October, 2017. The team was led by Dr. Sonam Dekyi, Chief Resident Sowa-Rigpa Doctor, assisted by Dispenser cum Accountant Mr. Jinpa Dorjee and Driver Mr. Ngawang Dorjee. The team toured remote areas of Samedh, Chumur, Kagshung, Goyul, Sumdho, Hanley, Makyu, Rongo, Nyoma and Kairi. Dr. Sonam Dekyi provided health consultations to 413 patients. Besides health consultation, she also gave advice on healthy diet and lifestyle.
Men-Tsee-Khang Wellness Camps
(Celebrating 101 Years of Public Health Service) Our Centenary outreach tours to Australia, USA East Coast/Canada, Singapore, Russia, Europe, Taiwan, USA West Coast and South America conducted between March 23, 2016 to March 23, 2017 had been a great success due to the efforts of various support groups. Above all, the encouragements we received and the experiences we gained, contributed to our initiating another world tour. Our tours to various places in India had also been a great success.
The team distributed free medicines for a month amounting to Rs. 144,672.85 during the 10-days medical camp. Men-Tsee-Khang has been conducting medical camps in Jangthang areas throughout the year in order to provide accessible health care to the people in the remote nomadic areas.
