Benedictory Message from our Kulaguru Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri

A Purposeful Day Today people usually refer to certain days as special or as red-letter days. Often times, they regard such days as special when they have met a famous personality. In the case of institutions, it is considered as a golden day, when a foundation stone is laid or a new project is launched. However there is a verse that states what our ancestors considered to be a special or purposeful day: कृतग ोदक ानं ुतभारतस थं । अिचता ुतपादा ं िदनं क शता रं ।। (That day when you have had the opportunity to be in a holy place, that day when you have heard the noble stories related to God, and that day when the Lotus Feet of God have been worshipped, is considered better than (even) a hundred years of Brahma.) Our forefathers felt complete if they were able to visit a holy place. They used to await the day when they could get the opportunity to go to Kashi. Their thoughts were, “Would I be able to go to Kashi? Would I be able to complete a holy dip in the Ganga? Would I have the Darshan of Lord Vishweshwara?” They felt that their lives would be purposeful if they were able to visit Kashi at least once in their lifetime. Similarly, a day on which Puranas and Itihasas such as Mahabharata, Ramayanam, Bhagavatam, Shiva Puranam, Devi Puranam, Markandeya Puranam etc., were recited, was considered an auspicious day. Also, a day on which Puja to Ishwara was offered with supreme devotion was considered to be a purposeful day. We think that our life is getting purposeful as we keep making progress in the worldly life. What we tend to achieve in the worldly life is only enough for progress in this world. All the progress that we seemed to have made in this world will not be of any help in the next world (para-loka) or during a rebirth. Whatever Dharma (or) Ishwara Puja we do in this birth will benefit us during a rebirth. May everyone understand this, make their days purposeful and attain Shreyas.

EDITOR’S NOTE Dear Readers,

We know that occupation of a person can be determined by looking at the 10th house of the natal chart. However, if we have to specifically find possibilities of job opportunities in Government or Public Sector, then one must look at the role of Sun and Moon with respect to occupation. Check out the different combinations for determining possibilities of getting a public sector job presented by Kartheek Darbha.

The use of jewellery and ornaments is profoundly ingrained in Indian tradition. Women are adorned with different varieties of beautiful ornaments for various rituals. Especially the tradition of ear and nose piercing among young girls is quite prevalent in Southern India. Our beloved Chief Editor, Bangalore Niranjan Babu writes about the Vedic principles behind wearing ornaments. He also talks about the art of tattooing which has a deep connection with ancient India and a few other countries. He recommends providing the right advice to youngsters about where to (and not to) tattoo and what symbols are appropriate to their birth constellations.

Sakata Yoga is known for giving high stress and trouble. According to classics, if Moon is situated in 6th, 8th, or 12th house from Jupiter this yoga occurs. Ashutosh Bharadwaj throws light on the core characteristics of Sakata Yoga, supported by few popular horoscopes for analysis.

Study of 12 houses or Bhavas helps understand and predict the happenings in an individual’s life. The houses represent the sky at the time of birth. Each house is ruled by certain planet and represents different areas of life. Bhava can be understood as the dimension of an individual that manifests over a period. Vedic astrology classifies all aspects into twelve dimensions of life and accordingly have twelve houses or Bhavas.

The most common usage of astrological analysis is found in matching horoscopes of a boy and a girl for marriage purposes. We are glad to reproduce an old artefact by R. A. Padmanabhan where he provides a detailed methodology for matching horoscopes. In addition to primary consideration based on nakshatras, he explains the secondary considerations including Kuja Doshas, Seventh house, Lagna and Venus. It’s the simplest explanation that can be used for matching horoscopes.

Varahamihira beautifully describes the houses in the following verse –

होरादय तनु कट ु ु ब सहो थ ब धु पु ा र प नी मरणािन शभा ु पदायाः । रःफा यम् इ यपचया य र कम लाभदिु य सिं त गहािण ृ न िन यम् एके ॥ ु

While the world is healing from COVID-19 and India is beginning to unlock, there is no stopping to the analysis that scholars across the globe are continuing to share. Here is one such analysis by Dr. Unnikrishnan Thekkeppat and Sri. Murali Puranattukara where they dig into the famous pandemics starting from 430 B.C. and bring out astrological patterns relating back to the current COVID-19 times. He forewarns that a pattern repeating every 17–18 years with Rahu is observed in pandemics from China. The same may repeat in 2038-39 period. Ayurvedic medicine based on Venus, Mercury and Rahu may be prepared as supplement food to control the pandemic.

Our Senior Editor, Raman Suprajarama elicits the significance of each house and the various dimensions it represents in a horoscope. The article also touches upon the concept of Plava as it relates to each house. Lord Rama, considered as the 7th incarnation of Lord Vishnu, personifies the ideal human. According to Sage Valmiki, Sri Rama was born on the ninth lunar day of the bright fortnight of Chaitra, when the star Punarvasu was in the ascendant. Although Sage Valmiki gave us the birth details, as related to the planetary positions, the actual year of birth is not furnished in Srimad Valmiki-Ramayana or other Vedic scriptures. While there are debates around the exact date of birth of Lord Rama, Dr. Bangalore Sureshwara attempts to share his research about the various methods used to determine the birth date and horoscope of Lord Rama. Sri Rama’s horoscope is possibly the only horoscope in the world to have exaltation of five planets in the horoscope. JULY 2021

Ear Piercing

reproductive system of the woman healthy. The Science of Ayurveda tells us that the nerve on the second finger of the foot relates to a woman's uterus. A slight constant pressure on this nerve is known to regulate the monthly menstrual cycle ensuring a healthy uterus. When worn on the third finger of the foot, especially by young unmarried women, it is said to give relief from the monthly menstrual period pain.

Ear piercing (also known as Karnavedha) is normally done within fifteen days of the child's birth and before the child completes its first year. It is said that a baby girl who has her ear pierced has a regular menstrual cycle and assists in minimizing hysterical attacks and similar nervine ailments. The piercing activates certain acupressure points in the ears and is also said to improve the blood circulation and strengthen immunity. It is said that the ear contains more than two hundred pressure points that influence different areas of the body and the psyche.

The acupressure points on the foot connecting to the woman's reproductive system get activated constantly and assist in eliminating or minimizing labor pain and in healthy delivery of the child.

We see that traditionally women in India wear different rings and jewelry in various parts of the ear. This creates pressure that can act as therapy and provide relief from various ailments that include allergies, anxiety, arthritis, asthma, depression, headaches, hunger, hypertension, pain, panic attacks and weight problems.

Tattoos

Tattooing too was prevalent in ancient India, China, Egypt, Philippines, Europe, Persia, Indonesia, Japan and the Middle East. Certain cultures tattooed their youngsters when they attained puberty. Men and women both had their different body parts tattooed. The Western world too had their share of tattoos. Tattooing was much among the upper classes in Europe and particularly in Britain. It is said that Sir Winston Churchill's mother, Lady Randolph Churchill, had a tattoo of a snake around her wrist, which she covered when the need arose with a specially crafted diamond bracelet. Carrying on the family tradition, Winston Churchill too is said to have had an anchor tattooed on his forearm.

Nose Piercing

Similarly nose piercing is also prevalent since ages from pre Ramayana and Mahabharata periods. Ayurvedic texts like Sushruta Samhita suggest nose piercing minimizes the monthly menstrual pain and also takes care of nasal infections. The ancient masters knew that networks of nerves ran through the body connecting various body areas. Many a time, simple caressing of nerve networks can positively affect the body systems.

The nasal nerves are associated with the female reproductive organs. The reason that piercing is done on this nostril is to assist easier childbirth and lessen pain during monthly periods. Both ear and nose piercing are said to aid woman's fertility. Today, decoration of the ear and nose (without piercing) have become mere beauty accessories with social celebrities sporting jewelry in their ears and noses. Generally, a woman had her nose pierced before her wedding.

Today, for the younger generation (of India and other parts of the world that include USA and Europe) having tattoos on their body parts has become a fashion statement. They have different tattoos on different parts of the body, some being traditional tattoos and some being just cosmetic. Professional artists with refined equipment and colored pigments have begun to find a boom in their business. This is now a craze. Do we stop our youngsters from tattooing, or do we give them advice on where to (and not to) tattoo and what symbols are appropriate to their birth constellations based on knowledge gathered from ancient texts? If your child is (or you are) insistent to having a tattoo "to go with the times" the table below will be helpful. Astro appropriate colors are recommended.

NOTABLE HOROSCOPE

LORD SRI RAMA - AN EXTRAORDINARY HOROSCOPE

Dr. Bangalore Sureshwara

Dr. Bangalore Sureshwara has been actively involved in the study of the application of Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita and Vedic Astrology in modern life. Dr. Sureshwara studied Vedic Astrology under his illustrious father Dr. B.V. Raman. He was the principal speaker on Vedic Astrology at The Second Parliament of the World's Religions held in Chicago in 1993. Dr. Sureshwara successfully predicted the victories in the USA Presidential Elections of President Bush (2000 and 2004) and President Obama (2008 and 2012). Dr. Sureshwara has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Mysore University (India) and a Doctorate in Engineering from the University of Notre Dame (USA).

birth is not furnished in Srimad Valmiki-Ramayana or other Vedic Scriptures or Theological texts. The birth date of Lord Sri Krishna is given as July 19, 3228 BC by Dr B.V. Raman in Notable Horoscopes. As a starting point, one can say that Sri Rama was born much earlier than 3228 BC. A search back beyond 3228 BC, can be made to determine for dates that have the planetary positions such as Sun in Aries, Moon and Jupiter in Cancer, Mars in Capricorn, Venus in Pisces and Saturn in Libra. The idea is to get the exact year of such planetary positions as the starting point for determining the birth year of Lord Sri Rama. However, it does not mean we will be able to establish the actual date of birth of Sri Rama. Our attempt is to merely identify, if possible, the earliest occurrence of the year in which the planetary positions are virtually identical to those indicated in Sri Rama’s horoscope. The remarkable planetary positions shown in Sri Rama’s horoscope can only occur once in many-many thousand years.

Overview of Lord Rama Horoscope Sage Valmiki, the immortal poet has indicated in Canto XVIII of Bala Kanda the birth details of Sri Rama, the eternal incarnation of God on earth. According to Sage Valmiki, Sri Rama was born on the ninth lunar day of the bright fortnight of Chaitra, when the star Punarvasu was in the ascendant. The five planets (Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn) were in their respective exaltation positions. The Sun in the 10th degree of Aries, the Moon in the 3rd degree of Taurus, Mars in the 28th degree of Capricorn, Jupiter in the 5th degree of Cancer, Venus in the 27th degree of Pisces, Saturn in the 20th degree of Libra. Jupiter and Moon in conjunction in Cancer. The three padams (quarters) of Punarvasu is located in Gemini, and the fourth padam is located in Cancer. As Jupiter is exalted in Cancer and is in conjunction with Moon, it must be the fourth padam of Punarvasu at the birth of Sri Rama. The ascendant is Cancer.

Reverse Calculations Many distinguished scholars of Hindu Theology and scriptures have in the past attempted to arrive at the year of birth of Lord Sri Rama, based on astrologicalastronomical, theological, historical, archaeological and other information and evidence. Among the methods used to decipher the time of birth, the archaeological and theological methods can provide clues for arriving at approximate dates, the planetary calculations can provide relatively more accurate information. While there has not been a consensus among the various scholars on the specific year (or decade or century) of birth of Sri Rama, the continuing dialog, discussion and debate has clearly established beyond a shadow of doubt that the principal incarnation of God on earth in the history of mankind is that of Lord Sri Rama. The reverse or back mathematical calculations were done starting from

HOW TO JUDGE A HOROSCOPE? PART II SIGNIFICANCE OF THE 12 HOUSES Suprajarama Raman Rudra. Vastu Shastra also mentions Bhava as one of the various styles of temple construction. A quadrilateral style of construction comes under the Bhava category. In the Vedic system of enquiry, there is an essence called of Bhavatattva which principally is one of the stages to attain perfection. Essentially Bhava can be understood as the dimension of an individual that manifests over a period of time. In our Vedic style, we have classified all aspects into twelve dimensions of life and accordingly have twelve houses or Bhavas. Each house is of 30 degrees in length. Note, In Vedic Astrology, we follow the equal house system. Here all the 12 Bhavas are of equally measure or division. The zodiac is 360 degrees and hence each of the 12 houses measure 30 degrees. Of course, the length of the houses can change but these occur only in higher latitudes, more towards the pole and this change is negligible. Varahamihira beautifully describes the houses in the following verse –

In part one that was published in December 2019 in The Astrological eMagazine, you learnt about the zodiac. Each zodiac or sign shows the characteristic feature of the environment that influences a person. In this article, I will share about the houses and their significance in Vedic Astrology.

The twelve houses from Lagna are as follows:

The houses represent the sky at the time of birth. This is also known as the ecliptic, or the path on the planets in the sky. At the time of the birth, the eastern direction indicates the first house or the ascendant. Essentially, the ascendant is the rising zodiac at the time of the birth. There are 12 houses that follow in a circular manner around us. The sky that’s directly above us is the 10th house, that in the west direction is the 7th house or the descendant and that which is directly below us, the 4th house.

Each house represents the areas of life in an individual. In Sanskrit, the houses are referred to as Bhavas.

11. Aaya – Gain 12. Ripha – Loss He further goes on to tell that these twelve houses are classified into two types – Upachaya and Apachaya. Upachaya means growing or accumulations. Apachaya means breaking down or depletion. The Upachaya houses are third, sixth, tenth and eleventh. The rest are Apachaya houses.

Bhava has many meanings. In Natyashastra, Bhava is understood as “the mood” or “the mental state”. However, if one reads the classical literature more closely, the word Bhava comes from Bhavyati meaning “to cause or to pervade”. In Vedic Puranas, Bhava is the name of the various devas the great and mighty JULY 2021

MUNDANE ASTROLOGY

ASTROLOGY AND SOCIETY A TRIBUTE TO THE ASTROLOGICAL eMAGAZINE Padma Bhushan Prof. N.S. Ramaswamy N. Srinivasa Iyer Ramaswamy (1926–2012), popularly known as Cartman Ramaswamy, was an Indian engineer, educationist, management academic and writer, and the founder director of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He was the founder of Centre for Action, Research and Technology for Man, Animal and Nature (CARTMAN), an organization working for region-relevant and appropriate technology transfer to rural area and Indian Heritage Academy, an organization involved in propagating Indian cultural traditions. He was also the founder chairman of the Adarsh Vidya Kendra (AVK) Group of educational institutions. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 2006, for his contributions to society.

Whatever be the criticism by ill-informed elites, Astrology is gaining acceptance worldwide. Dr. B. V. Raman had, on many occasions, explained the science and rationale of Astrology, based on not only knowledge of the science but also on insights and intuition. Astrology has drawn concepts both from Paravidya (higher - inner knowledge) and Aparavidya (lower - outer knowledge). In fact, Astrology integrates the silent and invisible world of experience and the outer manifested world of experiments. Both science and spirituality have a place in our pursuit to know the truth and the mystery of creation and the universe. God sleeps in inert matter, wakes up in plant life, walks in the animals and thinks in man. Astrology makes us think and wonder how the Laws of Order and Karma function.

the magazine should cover a larger canvas of knowledge and techniques - scientific and spiritual. This new eMagazine should also include all associated areas of India's ancient thought and wisdom, such as philosophy, culture, customs, traditions, festivals, symbolism, mysticism, etc, which are value-based and time-tested and relevant not only for the present but also for all times to come. Western historians and thinkers, like Arnold Toynbee, Will Durant, Thoreau, Emerson, Romaine Rolland and others as well as the modern scholar, Dr. David Frawley (who himself has written on Astrology), have acknowledged and acclaimed the profound thought and wisdom of our ancient sages. According to them, India is the cradle of civilization, mother of the human race, grandmother of all major European languages through Sanskrit, great grandmother of science, philosophy and ethics etc. This Astrological eMagazine should educate Indians on India's glorious scientific and cultural heritage. After all, Astrology is part of Vedas, which is the foundation of India's spiritual genius. As this is the commercial era of Kaliyuga, Astrology also has been trivialized for popular consumption. This eMagazine should bring the essence of the science to the public, and protect it from commoditization and commercialization.

Our sages developed inner knowledge by meditation, silence, austerity, selfless outlook, ethical and moral conduct and surrendering to the divine. They estimated speed of light, gravitation, planetary movements, age of the earth, evolution and hundreds of such discoveries all these long before the birth of Christ. But these are now known in the name of Western Astronomers and Scientists. There is Copernicus Marg, but not Aryabhata. Our sages did not use equipment or sense-based observation and analysis. Mere knowledge of planetary positions and movements is not adequate for prediction. It has to be supplemented with intuition. Therefore, this Astrological eMagazine will not only focus on the analytical and experimental part but also the intuitive and inspirational part of Astrology. This means that JULY 2021

It so happens that this is India's Century, as predicted by Swami Vivekananda in 1895, when he declared that the whole world would come to India to seek solutions to the complex problems afflicting mankind, animals and nature. For two thousand years, marauders and 12

Kartheek Darbha

Kartheek Darbha is a Vedic Astrology practitioner with nearly 9 plus years of experience in various fields of Vedic Astrology. He comes with practical and hands-on experience in analyzing horoscopes using Math (Impact analysis of each planet based on its degree of location in each and its effect in other Bhava) as said in Vedic Astrology by renowned Parasara Maharshi. His expertise is in dealing with marriage predictions, health situations in female horoscopes related to childbirth, vamsa vrudhi, travel, occupation and business predictions, and star Lord dasha system analysis.

Abstract

Total Effect of Saturn on 8 Bhava = SUM (30 + 0 + 20);

Occupation or job opportunities in every horoscope could be derived from tenth house in birth/natal chart. On top of it, this article exhibits the syntax and semantics in identifying the Government job possibilities and also promotions in a horoscope.

Total Effect of Saturn on 8 Bhava = 50 degrees; If computable Bhava is planet’s own house, then the total summation must be doubled.

Topics Covered:

Role of Sun and Moon

Sun and Moon are termed as Raja Graha. Those houses in natal chart which belong to Sun and Moon are Cancer and Leo.

• Role of Sun, Moon in a horoscope with respect to occupation, especially in Government job. • Various possible combinations for Government job possibilities in a horoscope.

Combination of this set (Sun, Moon, Cancer and Leo) is termed as Raja Graha Chaturtha. The tenth or eight Bhava in a good relation with any one of Raja Graha Chaturtha will lead to Government job possibility in a horoscope.

• Horoscope case studies • Role of Ascendant/ Lagna lord in the study. Notes:

Role of Eighth Bhava

1) Raja Graha Chaturtha - Sun, Moon with both their Rasis Cancer and Leo are termed as Raja Graha Chaturtha.

Eighth Bhava always play a prominent role in horoscope analysis. Not only in occupation, any event occurrence and the most possible Boolean result could be predicted from 8 Bhava.

2) To calculate the effect of planet on each Bhava: Influence of a planet on Bhava, Bhava Lord and the second house of Bhava. The algebraic sum of geometrical effect on each Bhava.

Ashtama Suddhi plays a very important role in a person’s life with every life deciding event to yield a predicted outcome.

Formula: The effect of a planet on a particular Bhava = SUM (Effect of that planet on that Bhava + Effect of that planet on the Second House of Bhava + Effect of that planet on that Bhava Lord).

Examples:

Example: To calculate the effect of Saturn on 8 Bhava for Aries Ascendant natal chart, placed in Taurus at 0 degrees and behind Mars, who is at 10 degrees in same Taurus.

3. Would a marriage Samskara for a duo be a right combination?

1. Whether a student will do well or fail in examination? 2. Would a politician perform well in election?

4. Once a house construction starts, would there be obstacles?

Total Effect of Saturn on 8 Bhava = SUM (Effect of Saturn on Scorpio (30 degrees) + Effect of Saturn on Aries (0 degrees) + Effect of Saturn on Mars (30 (10 - 0))); JULY 2021

5. Would there be any obstacles like evil Chandrashtama Dosha etc.,in organizing marriage of daughter or son? 14

HOROSCOPE ANALYSIS

SECRETS OF SAKATA YOGA Acharya Ashutosh Bharadwaj

Ashutosh Bharadwaj is from Arrah, Bihar. He started learning astrology when he was just 12 years old. He roamed around nearby states like UP, Jharkhand, Orissa, MP, Rajsthan to gain knowledge from many senior traditional astrologers. He gained plenty of secret knowledge not available in any books, from Banaras, Madhuban & Darbhanga. He is an excellent blend of traditional and modern astrology. He is capable of tracing planetary positions and rasi chart from palm.

In Vedic Astrology, when a Yoga is formed in an individual's horoscope, it is not necessary that it is always positive. Sakata Yoga is one such yoga, when it occurs gives a lot of stress and turbulence in an individual's life.

Shastra. Varahamihira opines the same. Classics say that this yoga will make the person poor, stubborn and keep him away from relatives and friends. Misery is also hinted for individuals with this yoga. Some astrologers say if Jupiter or Moon are in an angle/Kendra from the Lagna/1st house, the yoga will be nullified.

They would experience rise and fall simultaneously. The article explains some of the main combinations when Sakata Yoga is formed, along with examples of horoscopes of poplar personalities.

According to Dr. B.V. Raman, even his grandfather Prof. Rao objected this common yoga and Dr. Raman mentioned a statement from The Shukranadi that, Sakata yoga jatasya yoga bhangam pade pade Interested readers can refer his book Three Hundred Important Combinations for more information.

Sakata Yoga is a commonly known yoga for almost all good astrologers. According to many classics if Moon is situated in 6th, 8th or 12th house from Jupiter this yoga occurs. However, many classics opine in a reverse way! If all planets are placed between 1st house to 7th house this yoga is formed, as per Brihat Parashara Hora JULY 2021

MATCHING OF HOROSCOPE

MUNDANE ASTROLOGY

R. A. Padmanabhan

In the customary matching of horoscopes of a boy and girl for marriage, the points usually checked for agreement are (1) Dina (2) Gana (3) Yoni (4) Rajju (5) Vedha (6) Nadi (7) Mahendra (8) Stree Deergha (9) Rasi (10) Rasi adhipati and (11) Vasya. Of these, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10, namely Gana, Yoni, Rajju, Vedha and Rasyadhipati are more important than the rest. In addition to this primary consideration of matching on the basis of Nakshatra, other secondary factors such as Kujadosha (martian afftiction), seventh house, Lagna and Venus are also relevant and, sometimes, overwhelmingly useful. In order to evolve a simplified formula for judging the horoscopes for agreement incorporating the above principles on a suitably weighed scale, the following procedure is adopted.

(1) Dina (3 points): Count the boy's nakshatra from that of the girl (remember the starting point is always the girl's and not the boy's). Remove 9 or multiples of 9, if any, from that number, and find the remainder. If the remainder is 2, 4, 6, 8 or 9 there is matching of ‘dina'. Assign 3 marks or points as score for this agreement.

COVID -19 IN THE WORLD AN ASTROLOGICAL APPROACH Dr. Unnikrishnan Thekkeppat and Sri. Murali Puranattukara

Dr. Unnikrishnan Thekkeppat is the Asst. Professor, Department of Statistics, Sri. C. Achutha Menon Govt. College, Thrissur. Sri. Murali Puranattukara is the Superintendent in Charge and Coordinator Astrological Studies, Guruvayur Devaswom.

Abstract

Russian Flu in 1889, which was the first significant flu pandemic in Siberia and Kazakhstan, traveled to Moscow, Finland and Poland and finally the rest of Europe and at the end of 1890, some 360,000 persons died. The Spanish Flu out broke in 1918 which resulted in 50 million deaths worldwide. This was first observed in Europe, the United States and parts of Asia before swiftly spreading around the world. During 1957, Asian flu started in Hong Kong and passed through China into the United States, and England where over 14,000 people died within 6 months. Following this, a second wave started in 1958, causing an estimated total of about 1.1 million deaths globally, with 116,000 deaths in the United States alone. Later a vaccine was developed, effectively containing the pandemic. During 1981, HIV/AIDS was observed. Those infected by the HIV virus encounter fever, headache, and enlarged lymph nodes upon infection. In the year 2003, SARS was identified, which started possibly in bats, spread to cats and then to humans in China, followed by 26 other countries, infecting 8,096 people, with 774 deaths. SARS is characterized by respiratory problems, dry cough, fever and head and body aches and is spread through respiratory droplets from coughs and sneezes. During these days, quarantine efforts were found effective and by July, the virus was contained and has not reappeared since. China was criticized during this time in trying to suppress information about the virus at the beginning.

A method of analyzing pandemics based on astrological parameters and finding medicinal plants corresponding to planetary positions are discussed in this paper. Considering the Covid-19 cases, the position of Venus is a main factor in analysis. When Venus approaches Rahu, the spread and strength of the virus increases. Most care should be taken to control the whole system during these occasions. The pattern seems to repeat in China every 17-18 years and may repeat in 2038-39 also.

Introduction A disease prevalent over a country or the whole world is known as pandemic in general. The earliest recorded pandemic happened during the Peloponnesian War during 430 B.C. After that, the disease passed through Libya, Ethiopia and Egypt. About two-thirds of the population died due to this. The Antonine plague was started in 150 A.D. with appearance of smallpox in the Huns, then to Germans, Romans and finally spread throughout the Roman empire. The symptoms were fever, sore throat, diarrhea etc. This plague continued until about 180 A.D. Cyprian Plague with symptoms of Diarrhoea, vomiting, throat ulcers, fever and gangrenous hands and feet was spread in 250 A.D. Justinian Plague spread in 541 A.D. Leprosy was affected for many in 11th century as a pandemic in Europe. During 1350 A.D., the Black Death was severe with a loss of onethird of the world population. During 1492 A.D., diseases such as smallpox, measles and bubonic plague were passed along to the native populations by the Europeans. These diseases devastated indigenous people, with as many as 90 percent dying throughout the north and south continents.

Analysis of Planetary Position with Covid-19

World Health Organization announced officially on March 11, 2020, that the COVID-19 virus as pandemic after barreling through 114 countries in three months and infecting over 118,000 people. COVID-19 is caused by a novel coronavirus—a new coronavirus strain that has not been previously found in people. Symptoms include loss of smell and taste followed by high fever and bronchitis which will lead to breathing problems and pneumonia. The first reported case was in China on November 17, 2019 in the Hubei Province, but went unrecognized. India is the second most affected country in the world with 2,06,65,148 COVID19 cases and 2,26,188 fatalities.

The outbreak of plague in London affected well in 1665 A.D. The Bubonic plague led to the deaths of 20 percent of London’s population. First Cholera pandemic in London was started in 1817 A.D. This wave of the small intestine infection originated in Russia, where one million people died. A vaccine was created in 1885, but pandemic continued. But in 1855, the Third Plague pandemic started in China and moved to India that claimed 15 million victims. During 1875, Fiji Measles pandemic started followed by the JULY 2021
