Law for cleaning Ganges
nation
New Delhi (Sai) Water resources, river development and Ganga protection minister Uma Bharti has claimed that the results of Namami Ganga project will start coming in 2018. She said in the Rajya Sabha that the government is considering to bring a law to accelerate the protection of the river Ganga and to overcome the hindrances in this path. Regarding the protection of Ganga, she also said that Ganga is not a Thames or Rhine river, which, once cleaned, will remain clean forever, because about 2 million people per day and 600 million people per year take a holy dip in it. Uma responded in supplementary questions during the Question Hour in the Upper House that the Government is considering bringing the Ganga law. Before bringing it into Parliament, the draft of this law will be shared with the states. He said that the committee headed by Justice Giridhar Malviya was given the responsibility of making the draft of this law. He submitted his report to the proposed law on her ministry. Uma said that the government is consider-
ing the proposed law. This proposed law will also be shared with the states. She said that in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the states had demanded that a law be enacted to overcome the constraints in the work of Ganga conservation. That is why the government is considering this law. Giving information about the work done during the Modi government, she said that Rs 20 thousand
crore was allocated for the protection of Ganga. She said that the number of works done so far will start coming from the year 2018. In response to the supplementary question about the Ghatas of Banares, especially the Manikarnika Ghat, she said that the Gharas of Banaras are very ancient and historical. The permission of the High Court needs to be obtained prior to any manipulation or change. She said
Financial powers to the Modi fever Indian Armed Forces seen at Venkaiah
New Delhi (Sai) To ensure the security of sensitive military bases, the Ministry of Defense has entrusted important financial powers to the Armed Forces. Along with that, Defense Minister Arun Jaitley has fixed the deadline for the works related to it, thereby completing the work in a timely manner and with priority. There was a slowdown in the modernization of security arrangements and security arrangements of the airbase. The main objective of the latest step has been to accelerate the process of taking decisions. The Deputy Chiefs of the three services have been given the power to order, make purchases and conduct civil work without the approval of the Ministry of Defense. The Government termed it as a very important step and said that there will be huge increase in the existing powers that the armed forces

have. Recently, the Vice Chief of the Army was given full financial powers to purchase ammunition and spare parts to maintain the necessary level of warships. 600 of the 3000 bases of armies have been considered highly sensitive. After the Pathankot attack in January last year, a committee was constituted under the chairmanship of Lieutenant General (Retired) Philip Compose, Chief of the Army. It emphasized on establishing technical systems that identify breaks in the siege and strengthening the intelligence system. It was also said that the personnel engaged in the safety of security forces were given better weapons and rescue equipments. In March this year, a parliamentary committee expressed deep displeasure over the reduction in security arrangements of these bases. In May, the sources had said that the army demanded 2000 million dollars from the Ministry of Defense to meet the necessary arrangements. In recent days, the tensions on the borders continue and attacks on military bases continue. It is believed that in view of the situation, the government wants fastness in the security arrangements of military bases.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is known for specially defining any name and often finds it in his speeches. His influence seems to be on former BJP leader and NDA Vice Presidential candidate Venkaiah Naidu. Naidu specially defined the name of the veteran world famous missile technologist and our former president Shree APJ Abdul Kalam on the occasion of his second death anniversary .During this auspicious occasion Mr. Naidu said, 'APJ Abdul Kalam means' Anything is possible if your attitudes and Karma are integrated with your knowledge and concentration . The famous Kalam, named Missile Man, died on July 27, 2015 in Shillong. He had come to attend a program at Shillong University.
that the projects being made about the conservation and waste treatment of these ghats have been conveyed to the High Court. Uma said that cleanliness of the Ganga can not be possible only with the efforts of the government. Efforts will be made to create awareness among the public to restore the same kind of cleanliness as the Ganga was clean with the efforts of the masses 50-60 years ago.

Pictorial warning on Alcohol Bottles TAC New Delhi: Like cigarettes and tobacco packets, a pictorial warning can be given on alcohol bottles in the country soon. It will also be alerted about the consequences of drinking alcohol and driving about intoxicants. According to an official, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is busy in finalizing the standards of alcohol-rich beverages. The institution is studying the experiments of pictorial messages on liquor bottles in other countries of the world.
Examples of pictorial messages, drunk driving, and other international efforts being made in relation to alcohol intake are being examined. After this, recommend such messages in the standards being prepared for alcoholic beverages. Non-governmental organization Community Against Drunken Driving (CADD) filed a PIL in the Delhi High Court demanding a warning of drunk driving on drunken bottles. On May 18, the court had refused to order an order to raise the size of statutory chetavani after hearing
the petition. However, the court had asked the FSSAI, working under the Ministry of Health, to consider it as a consultation. CADD founder and activist Prince Singhal said that he has met the officials of FSSAI and handed over 4 designs in addition to the messages to be written on the bottles. Illustrative warnings are very important. Everyone can easily understand them by going beyond the languages boundary. It can also be understood by people who are not educated.

MG (Maha Ganda)
Road of Gurugram Simrat Singh There is an article in newspaper regarding raid in Sahara mall on this racket... even at 8 in the evening, you can spot such things happening right next to Max hospital.. and lots of people standing and watching...
Vishu Arora Every one is involved !! Think It's happening from long time n till now no action has been taken why ?? Further if u will complain, it might stop bt for few hours, may be for few days bt again itgonna start !! Bt apart appreciated at least u thot abt betterment !! the rounds of the entire area and people can be seen stopping these autos and speaking t these girls. The entire situation is very uncomfortable and especially if you are with an elderly then it is all the more embarrasing.”
Pubs and Bars responsible for spoiling the environment
Karamvir Kamal Barely a few minutes from Delhi; a landscape resembling a foreign country with crisscrossing rapid metro and Delhi metro tracks; sky scrapers of Cyber City draped with glistening glass facades; Non-stop Golf Course road; under passes and over bridges; industrial areas and corporate environment and above all the holy city of Guru Drona and Sheetla Mata – Gurugram. That’s how Gurugram is recognized today. Redefining progress and advancement, MG Road is that well-known stretch of Gurugram where commercial development dwells alongside a series of glitzy malls. Gurugram is today carving a unique and exclusive niche for itself on the world map. But a few dark patches on the millennium city are also prominently showing up on the global platform which may contribute towards ruining its reputation.Thousands of people visit the malls and offices located on Gurugram’s MG road. They enjoy shopping and eating out on the MG Road during the day time but as the darkness falls the same people do not like to stay here beyond 10 pm as this happy and feel-good MG road turns into a completely different scene as the night falls. Many criminals, anti-social elements, and notorious characters come out on this mall mile like wolves in the night and the MG road begins to show its true colours. Colours which begets a fear in the hearts and minds of working woman, normal family people and the common man who is in a hurry to return home. According to a teacher who stays in the nearby Colony Housing Board, “If we are late in the night it is an eerie feeling even inside our colony. Autorickshaws with girls inside are doing
The pubs and bars located on MG road are responsible for ruining the environment of this place. The girls working in these bars start roaming on the roads in autotickshaws after 10 in the night soliciting customers and passerbys. The autorickshaws carrying these Bar girls have aso increased in numbers in the past couple of years. Cab drivers and anti-social elements visiting these pubs to drink are their customers. The Sahara Mall located on MG road has become so popular for these activities that it has been attracting people from Delhi too.
All under the nose of Police
It is not that the Police is unaware of these growing activities but even they turn a blind eye towards these. It is only if some mishap takes place then only police swings into action and intervenes. Sometimes, just for a change a police vehicle can be seen patrolling this area but that is merely for catching the potential customers of these bar girls and extract money out of them.
If this continued, MG road may soon become GB road
If this illegal and immoral act of flesh trade continued in such an elite part of the millennium city, then the day is not far when the MG road of Gurugram may acquire the new reputation of what GB road holds in Delhi that is infamous for prostitution. One of the security guards stationed at MG road revealed about these girls was that they wait for the ideal time in and around the mall only and after 10 pm they appear on the road for their nefarious activities.
When a policeman had to raise his gun
The environment at MG road becomes so bad occasionally that an incident has come to light when once in order to control drunken rioters a policeman had to fetch the gun of his security personnel to scare off these anti-social elements.
The vehicles and autorickshaws of these people are parked on the road in such a way that those residing in nearby colonies face a lot of difficulty in reaching their homes.
Police is nowhere to be seen at night
Though police posts have been set up near MG road metro station and Sahara Mall but the police officials are rarely to be seen in this area especially in the hour of need. It is only under special orders or in rare cases that these police officers are seen in this vicinity otherwise not.
Local leaders hardly care
If we talk of local leaders, MLAs or MPs then they are also least bothered about the incidents taking place in and around MG road malls. The leader and Mahila Parshad of BJP with a mammoth work force are having their offices barely in 500 meters radius in this area. Even the residences of some local ministers are located here.
This trade is flourishing everyday
Prostitution and flesh trade is flourishing in Gurugram to such an extent that call girls can be seen at IFFCO Chowk from as early as five in the mornings. Due to this normal people waiting for the the bus at the bus stand begin to feel uncomfortable. Gurugram police ignore them here too.
Foreign girls are also a part of this trade
African women are also a part of this dirty flesh trade. After dark these women keep roaming around the malls located near MG road and soliciting customers.
Manisha Lokesh Sinha And that is most emabarrasing tym wen u see certain nuiance around u happening n u can't stop... Bcz Its open n on after 9pm.. All around Sahara mall i guess...
Seema Sarin Singh You are right. We also noticed when we came out of a night show... odd kind of movement around.
Siddharth Bhatia Do u all know how big is the money game involved. And what police will do with complain nothing as they know more than you all, we have to be united and fight against it putting on Facebook won't help.
Pratibha Gupta Yes policemen stand there and know everything. Some senior level strict action should be taken but how?
Praggatti Rao This bothered me too while I was there for dinner with my family... it's so in your face and seems the authorities have turned a blind eye.
Amandeep Soin I have stopped going to MGFmall after I noticed the same 6 months back, I was with my family... the scene outside the mall totally changed after I came out around 7.45pm, police presence was also there and it appeared that they are well aware of it.
Sanchita Kunal Kumar MG Road of Gurugram has today acquired such a reputation that it is being criticized on every social platform everywhere. It is obvious that it is doing its best in spoiling the reputation of Gurugram as a global hub of business and trade. Besides those residing in these localities, people who visit this place from outside are also criticizing it. The Asian Chronicle is presenting this article for you and the police administration on the basis of feedbacks and opinions received on a social platform.
Sahara mall is worst too and I experienced it 4 yrs ago post that I have never been there.
Vipiann Bhatia Police stationed outside the mall are party to all the illegal activities, they know everything they take money from spa owners and people running these activities that is why they keep a blind face towards these girls and pimps and harass only simple citizens.

Good Health & Positivity through Plants We live in cities that have reached their maximum pollution level. Bihar Politics: DAAGI Changed, Not SARKAAR
opinion
Faridabad (NCR) | 01-15 August, 2017 www.theasianchronicle.com
A State of Bihar as well as the entire HINDUSTAN has been colored in Saffron. Forwarding the victory chariot in a dramatic way, it seems fixed and preplanned .BJP has been registered it’s presence in Bihar this time. In these past days the family members of Shree Lalu Prasad Yadav mere proved themselves the most corrupt political family of this country. The Grand Coalition(MAHAGATH BANDHAN) has been broken down with the continuous aggressive raids by CBI and ED. Everything happened unprecedently so fast that the political Pundits of the naANJAN KUMAR SAMAL tion became mute spectators .An expert in (Author is active in soco- making govt., BJP did encashed the sudpolitical Activism) den resignation of Nitish just before making the new govt. by making alliance with JDU. Not only people across the country but also all the media and news agencies say that Nitish Kumar had resigned from the Chief Minister's post on the issue of corruption. But honesty in the current politics remains a word of utterance and expression. At the time of election, the same BJP, that did criticize Nitish immensely has now made him the chief minister by supporting the same party which also reflects Nitish’s love to the power chair.
J.P. Nadda In 2014, this government made a promise to the people of India, to safeguard their health, to provide the men, women, and children of this country the best chance to survive and thrive. One of the key initiatives was to protect as many of our children against as many diseases as possible, with the introduction of new vaccines into the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP), as well as by ensuring these reach the unreached. This was one of the most significant policy decisions in public health arena taken because of the visionary leadership of Shri Narendra Modi Ji. Today, I can say that promise is well on its way to being fulfilled. For decades, our children have died from diseases that could be prevented. Introduction of new vaccines is key to reducing childhood and infant mortality and morbidity in the country. In the last two years, through the UIP, we saw the introduction of the Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV), Rotavirus vaccine (RVV) against diarrhoea, and the measlesrubella (MR) vaccine, to protect against both measles and rubella. The latest weapon in the arsenal being introduced is pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV). More than 130 countries world-
If we talk about Nitish Kumar's honesty, It is believed that Nitish had known all the corruption cases against Lalu and on his family members even before the election. In such a case, taking the oath of honesty and taking them in the election means only to get power. The only motive of politics remains to gain power. Regardless of how power came Sometimes someone who is bitten like an enemy is made a brother. Then once someone has got the power after making a brother, the same brother is told to be the biggest enemy. In this fight for corruption, if Nitish Kumar investigate into all the cases of corruption using the state Agencies against the deputy Chief Minister ,then only it can be proved that the “SU-SHASAN BABU” has a corruption free government with zero tolerance. After running the govt. for almost two years with tainted and corrupt politicians and political parties Nitish Kumar who wants to give a message of corruption free politics is nothing but merely a showing off. It is not possible to clap with one hand in Politics. The BJP supported Nitish in Bihar, not just for the formation of the government but to join and be part of the government. In this fight for corruption free
Bihar, the MAHAGATHBANDHAN seems ready not only to criticize the opponents but also challenge the opposition to face the people’s mandate again if they wish. When we talk on the issue of a transparent and honest government,we can shamefully get it proved that from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha till Vidhansabhas hundreds of tainted politicians are still in India. Any political party of this country can prove it as the honest one easily. But the reality on ground that bites each and every Indian citizen that there are bunches corruption and criminal cases are being run against most of the ministers and even against many VVIP politicians of this country. By citing the example of BJP, as the honest political party and allying with which Nitish claimed having the honest Govt. has 35% of their Members of Parliament have criminal cases in their names.
STAINS OF CORRUPRTION The party may be of anyone. No matter, how many politicians try to prove them honest, the truth is that there is no moon even without stain. There is no such party in the country that comes truthful in the honesty test. Even after the name of honesty, Nitish Kumar has resigned from his seat, but no one can be considered as preparing for the upcoming general elections. In the BJP wave, Nitish Kumar also wants to set dive so that his party's seat can be confirmed in the general elections. After breaking the relationship with RJD, Nitish Kumar has again taken the oath of Chief Minister of Bihar with the help of
A strike against pneumonia
wide have introduced PCV as part of their childhood immunization programmes, in line with World Health Organization (WHO) global recommendations. This vaccine provides protection against one of the most common causes of pneumonia—a bacterium called pneumococcus. This bacterium also causes other diseases such as ear infections, meningitis and blood infections, with some of these resulting in death or serious disabilities. This vaccine has long been available in the private sector in India, so children of wealthy families who could afford it could be protected. But today, by introducing it in the UIP, we are ensuring that this vaccine reaches all children, especially those who need it the most, the underprivileged and underserved. The availability of life-saving vaccines should not be limited to only those who can afford it. It is through vaccines like PCV that we can give the citizens of this country a shot at an equitable future and achieve the vision of an India in which every citizen lives a healthy and productive life. Many people ask, “Why immunize?” Previous generations, the argument goes, suffered from diseases like diarrhoea, measles, and pneumonia; why is it essential for us to immunize our children against it? By the time you finish reading
this article, one child in India would have died from pneumonia. One child every three minutes – that is the tragic toll pneumonia claims in this country. We need to protect and save those children. The decision to introduce a vaccine in the UIP is a well-regulated and carefully thought-out process that takes into account the need, the safety and the efficacy of the vaccine. For a new vaccine to be introduced in the country, the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (NTAGI) reviews disease burden and epidemiology of a particular vaccine preventable disease and vaccine availability along with its cost effectiveness before making recommendations for any new vaccine introduction. NTAGI is an independent body of experts with repute and experience in the field. The Ministry introduces new vaccines only when NTAGI recommendations are subsequently approved by the empowered programme committee and Mission Steering Group (MSG). All new vaccines, including the PCV, have been included in the UIP at the recommendation of NTAGI and following this procedure. PCV helps protect against the bacterium that causes the maximum number of child pneumonia deaths worldwide and in India. We are starting by introducing it in parts of Bihar, parts of Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh,
but the plan is to soon cover all of India. It is an expensive vaccine, but it will now be available to our citizens for free. The cost to the government exchequer is offset by the additional economic benefits of having a healthier society. With close to 1.8 lakh deaths and over 20 lakh cases annually, child pneumonia poses a significant financial burden on India. The costs of treating a case of pneumonia perpetuates the cycle of poverty. Parents of children who contract pneumonia have to pay expensive hospital bills, which can cost them several months in wages. To add to this, they have to take time off and stay home to care for sick children, negatively impacting India's economy. Healthier children enjoy better cognitive development, are better in school, missing fewer days, and in the long run, when they join the workforce, they tend to be more productive and earn more. Health thus creates wealth. There are several global examples where healthier populations grow their incomes and escape from poverty quicker, making PCV an investment into India’s progress towards becoming an economically developed nation. India leads the world in pneumonia deaths but, with the launch of PCV, we have definite chance at changing that statistic and making a serious dent in our contribution to the global burden of the disease.

BJP. These two parties try to prove themselves as honest, but the report of the ADR is quite different from them. The first thing is to do is talk of Lalu's party, four RJD members in the Lok Sabha have criminal cases registered against them. Out of RJD’s 80 elected MLA , 46 MLAs have criminal cases against them which is approximately 58%. In the legislative council, 4 members of the RJD out of 7 have criminal cases registered. Now it is about the JDU who always shows off zero tolerance on corruption and its old ally BJP .The party of 'good governance associate' Nitish ji, who has resigned from the post of Chief Minister due to corruption of RJD, is not far away from corruption. In the Parliament, where one out of the 2 MPs of the JDU has criminal case registered and both have passed 12thclass. Out of the 282 MPs of BJP, against 98 many severe criminal cases have been registered. Which are up to 35%. In the case of serious crime, BJP has the maximum number of 9 MPs, of which 10-21 cases have been registered. In the Legislative Assembly, out of BJP’s 37 MLAs from 34 and Nitish Kumar's 37 out of 71 are corrupt. Such a bad situation is also in the legislative council. In which half of the BJP members out of are corrupt, 7 out of 25 members of JDU are corrupt. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has also a criminal case in his own name. It is understood that there is a huge difference between the leaders' speech and their statistics. Political leaders who speaks on ideology only follow the power chair and nothing else.
In the past, vaccines have greatly contributed in reducing death and disease. Ailments like smallpox no longer plague us and India is now free of polio and maternal and neonatal tetanus. The government’s investment and commitment to India’s UIP has contributed to this progress. Today, the UIP provides Indian children with vaccines for 11 deadly and debilitating diseases; the introduction of PCV will increase that number to 12. Recently released National Family Health Survey (NFHS-4) data shows that India’s full immunization coverage stands at 62%, up from 43.5% just a decade ago. More vaccines and higher coverage have helped to drastically reduce our infant and child deaths. To accelerate that momentum, Mission Indradhanush was launched in 2014 to reach the most vulnerable and ensure 90% of India’s children have access to life-saving vaccines by 2020. This project now has attained top speed with our Honourable Prime Minister rescheduling the target to 2018, emphasizing that no child should be left behind. It is our duty to deliver on the promise and save the lives of tens of thousands of children in this country who don’t live to see their fifth birthday due to preventable diseases. To achieve these ambitious targets, we cannot afford to slow down. Let us immunize and give our children the protection they need to fight off deadly diseases and reach their full potential.
