EDITOR’S LETTER
W
ow, one year has past since the beginning of The Beauty Bible. I can’t help but feel sentimental, almost like
the birthday of a second child. The past year has gone crazy fast for me. It seems like the older I get, the quicker the days just fly by. We tend to get so caught up in the busyness and craziness of life that we sometimes forget to press pause and look at how far we have come. When I woke up this morning it was 5 degrees outside and I could not be more thankful for the fact that I didn’t have to get up at 6am and drive to the city to work for someone else. From the second I graduated from my degree I knew that I wanted to work for myself. I came across a quote that read - “If you don’t build your dreams, someone else will hire you to build theirs.” Ever since then I have, and continue to work my butt off to achieve these dreams. So, thank you to all of you reading this and those who have followed along with our journey from the beginning. We wouldn’t be here without you. For those of you who are new here, welcome to the family.

What an epic season it has been putting together this issue. We finally managed to get out to the beach and shoot our cover, which I am beyond obsessed with. I had a vision in my mind of contrasting a classic New Zealand landscape with something ultra glam, clean, and sophisticated. The red fluffy Gestuz jacket was an afterthought, but I am in love. We have also worked with some pretty awesome New Zealand brands and businesses throughout the process. There is a big focus on skincare in this issue and I was lucky enough to get invited along to FaceTime Clinic to try out their new Four Factor Facial. It is safe to say that it was hands down the most relaxing experience I have ever had. The team went above and beyond to make me feel pampered and I was blown away with the treatment. You can read more about it on page 16. Not only have we welcomed new brands on board but we have also added a new member to the team. Our designer Nicole has helped me a lot with this issue making my ideas come to life, all while managing to put up with my perfectionist nature. I hope you enjoy this issue as much as we enjoyed creating it. I know I say this every time, but I think it is my favourite one yet. Leah Lim Editor/Creative Director

LETS TALK FALSIES With Tina Yang Applying a pair of false eyelashes is my favourite way to glam up any look. However, applying false eyelashes can be a challenging and stressful process to many beginners who are starting out with makeup. When using glue and tools close to sensitive areas such as your eye, it is important to make sure you are using safe techniques to apply the falsies. With these easy steps and a little practice, applying falsies won’t be so stressful and you’ll be able to do it with ease!
Apply Mascara
Applying The Falsies
Whether you want to apply mascara before or after applying your falsies is completely personal preference. Personally, I curl and apply my mascara before my false lashes. This helps me avoid getting mascara on my falsies, so I don’t have to excessively clean them and decrease their lifespan.
Have a mirror below your face, this will give you a perfect view of where your false lashes will press against your natural lash line. Look down and press the strip lashes against the centre of your natural lash line. Once you are happy with the centre placement, secure the lash band by pressing the inner and outer edge to your natural lash line. To blend the falsies with your natural lashes, you can apply mascara or run through your lashes with a spoolie.
Measure The Falsies Strip false eyelashes are not a “one-size-fits-all”. Straight out of the packaging, false eyelashes are most likely not the right size for your eye shape. Make sure your false eyelashes are the right size by measuring the eyelashes against your natural lash line. If the lash band is too long it will hang off your natural lash line and make your eyes look droopy. Trim the outer edge of the lash band with small cosmetic scissors if needed.
If the lash band is thick and obvious, eyeliner can help! Adding black eyeliner against the false eyelash band and your natural lash line will help hide the false lash band and blend it seamlessly with your natural lash line. You can simply line the lash band, or even create a cat-eye wing for extra glam!
Add Lash Glue
PRODUCTS USED:
Trace the lash band with a thin layer of lash glue, whilst making sure you are applying enough to the band. Wait for 30 seconds - 1 minute (time may vary between lash glue brands) for the glue to become tacky. Applying the lash with tacky glue will ensure the lashes won’t slip and slide when you apply. A personal favourite lash glue of mine is the Duo Eyelash Adhesive in ‘Clear-White’.

BOTOX & FILLER The Low Down You have heard about it and most likely seen it all over social media, but is it right for you? We chatted with Jade Wright a Registered Nurse at Caci to answer some of our Appearance Medicine & Dermal Filler questions. First of all, what is a wrinkle?
What does the treatment involve?
When we smile or frown wrinkles appear around our eyes, in between our eyebrows, and in our forehead. These lines appear because our muscles are contracting to create different facial expressions, this is called a dynamic line. As time goes on, these expression lines begin to deepen and become permanent, even when the face is at rest. This is called a static line.
Cosmetic injection treatments are quick; a small amount of product is injected into selected muscles with a very fine needle. Pain is minimal and you can go about your normal day. After the treatment you may experience slight redness in the treated area, this usually resolves in 15-30 minutes.
Lines and wrinkles aren’t the only signs of ageing; the curves and contours of the face can also change as volume is lost. Areas that tend to loose volume are the cheeks, lips, temples and jawline. What are the benefits of injectable treatments like Botox and Dermal Filler? Botox treatments work by relaxing facial muscles that cause wrinkles and lines when you smile or frown, creating a refreshed look whilst preventing lines deepening. Dermal Filler works differently. It works by replacing lost volume, enhancing lips, enhancing facial contour, and softening medium to deep wrinkles. How does Botox and Dermal Filler work? Botox temporarily reduces the action of the muscles treated, preventing them from moving, resulting in softer lines and wrinkles. Dermal Filler is a smooth, injectable gel made from hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the body. The gel can improve skin volume and hydration. At Caci, we use a Dermal Filler product called Juvederm. How long do the results last? Botox results are seen within 7-14 days following treatment. Results can last up to 3-4 months. It is recommended to be regular with treatments to prevent dynamic lines developing into static lines. If the lines are static when commencing Botox, regular treatment will help to soften these lines gradually. Dermal Filler results can be instant. Most people will find that it can last from 12-24 months, this will depend on product, area, and each person’s individual metabolism.
14
.
Dermal Fillers are also injected. One type of Dermal Filler called Juvederm contains an anesthetic called Lidocaine to help reduce discomfort during injection. Treatments usually take between 15 to 30 minutes. After the treatment you may experience swelling, redness, bruising, and tenderness. How much does it cost? Pricing will vary for each individual as the price will depend on how many areas are being treated. To give a rough idea, treatments at Caci can be provided as a one off service or can be part of a personalised treatment plan which allows the cost of treatment to be spread over the year – just like a gym membership. Plan prices can start from around $30 a week. The best option would be to have a complimentary consultation to discuss your concerns so the treatment provider can give you an exact quote. Are these treatments safe? At Caci, only trained Registered Nurses treat with Botox and Juvederm. Prior to treatment, a full medical history will be taken to ensure the client is suitable for treatment. From there you will have the opportunity to discuss the treatment in full before you begin. As Juvederm and Botox are medications, side effects can occur and will be discussed thoroughly prior to treatment. What should people consider before getting treatments like these? Do your research, go to a reputable clinic and make sure you are 110% sure you want the treatment before going ahead with it.

HOW TO GLOW THIS WINTER
With Melissa Gladding Catch a glimpse of your reflection in any mirror, and there’s no denying that the healthy glow you’ve seen and felt throughout summer is all but a distant memory. In its place, a pasty, dry, flaky skin staring back at you. As the temperature begins to dip, the contrast of the outdoor chill and the use of interior heating leads to the loss of water and lipids, resulting in your skin appearing dull, dry and lifeless. Your winter skin mantra? “Moisturise, Moisturise, Moisturise!”
How can we prepare our skin for the winter months? The skin contains proteins and lipids that lock in moisture and create a barrier against damage from external factors. In winter, however, the dry air, extremes of temperature and taking frequent hot baths and showers all strip the skin of this natural protection. Make cell renewing ingredients and moisture quenchers your new BFF’s. I suggest using enzymes in the form of a daily wash to promote radiance, hydration and to get better absorption of products that follow. Next up is an antioxidant and EFA rich face oil. Antioxidants provide protection while EFAs such as Emu oil form a comforting barrier to keep you feeling dewy all day, lock in moisture and restore suppleness. Recommended hero products: Osmosis Purify enzyme cleanser. Osmosis Immerse face oil. How do we treat skin already affected by winter at home? My at home SOS is always a good mask treatment! My clients hear about these a lot! For those who say they don’t have time for a mask, this one’s for you! Repair and replenish winter skin with an overnight boost using a pea-sized dollop of Thalgo Deeply Nourishing Mask warmed into the skin. Sleep with it on and wake up repaired and ready to go. What is the biggest mistake people make over winter? SKIPPING SPF…. The sun’s rays still exist in winter—your skin will still absorb them and be slowly damaged over time. Even if you’re only outside for a total of 30 minutes, five times per week—such as walking to work or taking a lunch break—over a year, that adds up to 7,800 minutes in the sun. An easy way to cover sun protection? Choose a daytime moisturizer with broad-spectrum protection such as Medik8 Hydr8 Day 360. If you’re a makeup lover, introduce a primer with SPF, my personal favourite is the silky light COOLA Dawn Patrol Primer SPF30.

.
What are your top winter treatments you recommend? IPL Skin Rejuvenation IPL (intense pulsed light) rejuvenation is a non-invasive technique that treats skin damage without disrupting the skin’s surface. It uses intense pulses of light to target areas of concern on the face, décolletage and back of the hands. The result is an overall healthier appearance to ageing skin, reduced fine lines and a more even complexion through reduced pigmentation and age spots. Between one and five treatments may be required. Remember, not all IPL machines are created equal and you do get what you pay for in this case. Ensure you head to a reputable clinic where therapists are experienced and hold IPL and safety qualifications along with having a medical grade IPL machine such as the Lumenis M22. FaceTime Factor Four Facial Taking care of every facet of the skin, this combines 4 leading-edge skin treatments into one powerful 75minute game-changing facial. Gentle microdermabrasion smooths away rough summer texture. Collagen Induction Therapy and Osmosis Stemfactor Infusion replaces lost collagen from those summer rays. Healite II therapy rejuvenates and hydrates at a deep level and Medik8 Ultimate Recovery Bio-cellulose Mask soothes, repairs and comforts.

5 MINUTES WITH... Sara Quilter Meet Sara Quilter, girl boss and founder of Tailor Skincare. A brand built around natural beauty and ethical principles. We chatted with her to find out where it all began, and what the future holds for this epic New Zealand brand.
Where did Tailor skincare begin? Tailor began in 2012 in a small workshop in Oakura Taranaki, with a cake mixer and a bag of clay. Pretty humble beginnings but good things have to start somewhere.
What makes Tailor different from other skincare brands on the market? Tailor is natural and vegan. So many brands are either natural or vegan, Tailor is both which is a winning combination. We also have a personalised moisturiser - Your Blend is the first truly natural product of it’s kind. It’s a multifunctional morning and night moisturiser blended for you, by you.
Since launching the brand has it been what you expected/hoped for or have you had some surprises throughout the process? My intention with the brand was to create a vehicle to boost self-confidence and every time I have a customer come to me and say that Tailor has changed their skin and as a consequence, they feel more confident, this to me is winning and exactly what I wanted to achieve. Surprises yes there have been many! We’ve had fun with production lead times and interesting packaging solutions but have NEVER compromised on product quality. by you.

@tailorskincare
What was you main vision/goal when you set out to create a skincare line? I’ve always been interested in skincare, but never cared or was not properly educated on what was in my skincare. After spending some time in California working in the organic horticulture industry I became OBSESSED with looking into what chemicals we come into contact with on a daily basis. Especially those in our personal care products. So I set an intention to make quality skincare with none of the nasties!
How has it grown from when you started? We have grown from a small garage project which operated primarily online. Now Tailor is a multi-award winning brand ranged in Farmers and Life Pharmacy. We still maintain our online store and love community events.
What are your hopes for the future of Tailor? The more people we can share Tailor with the better because it gives us a bigger voice to help redefine beauty as being much more than face value.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Lash Extensions The idea of getting lash extensions is daunting for many women. Mostly due to the terribly unregulated New Zealand beauty industry sporting untrained techs everywhere, ruining eyelashes left, right and centre. The reality is, these wrongfully accused, innocent little lashes, if applied correctly, can take you from drab to fab - minus the damage, Lash extensions are individual eyelashes made from silk, mink or synthetic fibres. They are glued individually to each lash and are semi-permanent for that real life - “I woke up like this” feel.
HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
HOW DO YOU CARE FOR THEM?
Lash extensions, if applied by a reputable, trained technician should shed easily with your natural lash cycle. Everyone’s lashes are different and grow at different rates, but the average person’s cycle should last between 6-8 weeks. Because most of the extensions are applied to the longer, stronger, and more grown out lashes, most people find that they can get around 3-4 weeks from a set.
Lash extensions are fairly low maintenance, they can take some time to get used to, but if they are applied correctly you should not even notice that they are there.
WHAT IS AN ‘INFILL’ If you are wanting to keep your lashes continuously it is best to get an infill after 2-3 weeks. The term has a lot of clients confused, but the answer is in the name. All this involves is simply ‘filling in’ the gaps. Each lash is on its own cycle, meaning that they will fall out slowly and at different times creating gaps in your set. An infill involves attaching a new extension to the new lash that has grown in the old ones place.
WILL THEY SUIT ME? Most technicians will offer a range of lengths and curls to create either a dramatic or natural look. If you are unsure what to ask for seek advice from the technician and they can advise you what will suit based on your natural lash length and eye shape. For the more natural look opt for a 9-11mm length and a ‘J’ or ‘C’ curl. For those wanting a more dramatic approach 12-14mm and a ‘D’ or ‘U’ curl will be your best friend.
leahlovesmakeup.com 20
.
There are a few things that you need to do to get the most out of your set: - Avoid getting them wet or exercising for the first 48 hours - Don’t use anything oil based around the eye area - if you wear eye makeup I suggest removing it with a remover specifically designed for lash extensions. My current favourite is the Revitalash Lash Wash. - Avoid Mascara at all times (You won’t need it!) - Do not rub your eyes or pick at the lashes
HOW DO I TAKE THEM OFF? As mentioned above the lashes will shed over time with your natural lash cycle and should all be gone by the 6-8 week mark. However, if you just can’t deal with those last few that just won’t seem to budge, go back to your technician and have them removed. Never attempt to pick off or pull them out yourself. This can cause permanent damage to your natural lashes.

Hype With Courtney Devereux
We may be individuals, but we’re part of a movement. And that movement is telling us to consume before it is too late. Before what we have set in our hearts falls into the arms of another. Dramatic, I know.
22
.
Hype up the demand, limit the supply. It’s an old practice that has been used for decades; manipulate the customer into a sense of urgency. And that’s the way these days that retailers ensure a sale. It seems a lot more common now for companies to bring out ‘limited edition’ items to keep their loyal customers interested, and also to draw in more customers to their brand. Quite often this strategy is designed to promote a new product or give older lines a bit of a boost. Main players in this game are streetwear, and beauty. How often have you bought something quicker because it was about to sell out? How many times have you eagerly awaited the drop of a product because of the hype surrounding it? And how many times have you been left feeling empty after missing out on a limited-edition item? Probably more than once. But these are tactics by companies to ensure you’ll return as easily as the product does.
Taking a step out of the role of a consumer, it is easy to see that this marketing technique is just a ploy. Large companies that have enough of an audience to create hype surely have enough access to resources to create more stock. But where is the fun in that? Where is the fun in having a product that is accessible to everyone, everywhere, forever? Eventually, the demand runs dry and sales slow. Hence, the need for a constant, ever-evolving Limited edition items aren’t anything new, but the build of ‘the demand. hype’ surrounding the products is. Consumers lap up anything hyped or limited as it feels more special than other accessible Hyped items become a status symbol for the elite. To get your products. Consumers of high-end streetwear such as Supreme, hands on ‘limited edition’ items we’re now having to have Anti Social Social Club, Kith, Bape, and Noah sell only a handful background knowledge, insider information and one hell of a of products in what is called a ‘drop’. The hype up towards the ready wallet. release gives consumers time to plan their spending and the The hype is a product of consumers’ own making. We crave to best ways to get their hands on these ‘special’ items. be part of something bigger than ourselves, while also projecting our own individualism through what we buy. Trends might come Beauty-wise, Kylie Cosmetics, Maybelline, KKW Cosmetics, literally anything by Rihanna, and even fast fashion retailers like and go quicker than ever these days, but streetwear and beauty Topshop and Showpo limit supply but hype up products weeks progression mean things are never boring. The build of hype before the drop. This creates a tension among shoppers, and, surrounding these drops on the surface seem unfair on the may even allow customers to justify spending large quantities average shopper, but all these labels have done is take an elusive on items because they are limited, therefore feel more special. model like anything limited edition and injected it with steroids.

MID-WINTER GETAWAY
ESSENTIALS With Maddy Paget
COMFORTABLE SHOES When packing for a mid-winter escape, it’s so important to take only the essentials. If you fill your luggage to the brim with unnecessary items, then where will you fit all your shopping? I like to plan well ahead when packing for a summer holiday and make sure I’ve thought through every outfit, accessory and beauty product. I want to be able to pack minimal items while still having absolutely everything I need. With that said, there’s a few necessities that I can’t embark on a getaway to the warm weather without.
Comfortable shoes are so, so essential when going on holiday. If you’re going to be doing a lot of walking, the last thing you want is blisters or sore feet! I always make sure that my comfortable shoes also match majority of my outfits so I tend to go with something classic like Old Skool Vans. If you’re heading somewhere tropical, make sure you also have something light, breathable and convenient like a trendy pair of slides.
VERSATILE DENIM
A PORTABLE PHONE CHARGER
Denim really is my best friend when going on holiday, but it’s important to pack denim pieces that are versatile. A trusty pair of jeans or shorts that can be both casual and classy are an absolute must have. This will make your life so much easier when planning outfits and will allow you to put a whole lot less in your suitcase.
My phone battery always disappears so much quicker while I’m on holiday, probably from the overuse of the camera taking hundreds of holiday snaps. A portable charger is essential to keep in your handbag so that you never have to miss a photo opportunity!
A RELIABLE FAKE TAN
AN EXTREMELY HYDRATING MOISTURISER
When it’s the middle of winter and I’m heading to the sun, I can’t go without a good, reliable fake tan. I use Bondi Sands Ultra Dark which is my trusty favourite. Nobody has time for a buildable tan when you’re going on holiday, you want to be bronzed and glowing the second you land.
THE PERFECT HAND BAG I’m an absolute minimalist when it comes to handbags and don’t bother with lugging around an oversized tote. I like something super small and light weight, only big enough to fit my phone, wallet, sunglasses and makeup items I need handy for touch ups. Anything else is just extra weight, which you don’t need when walking around exploring all day.
LIGHT LAYERS One of the difficult things about travelling between seasons is keeping warm on departure and arrival without taking heavy layers in your suitcase. Light layers are essential, a classic denim jacket paired with a light long sleeve jumper and a casual tee are my go-to.

Going from winter to summer means a drastic change in temperature and a potential freak-out for my skin. The one product I absolutely cannot travel without in my hand luggage is a super hydrating moisturiser to give my face some TLC. Aeroplanes can seriously suck the life out of your skin so it’s important to keep this on hand if you want to land looking and feeling fresh.
STATEMENT ACCESSORIES Taking a few statement accessories with you means that you can pack basic, staple clothing pieces that are versatile and can be worn a few times. You can dress up your plain outfits with chunky jewellery, funky sunglasses, cute hats and headscarves. I hope these tips help you to pack perfectly for your escape to the sun! Happy holidays!

COCONUT OIL
YOUR NEW BESTIE With Rachel Mackwood I HAVE TOTALLY FALLEN IN LOVE. I’M OBSESSED. HE IS THE ANSWER TO ALL MY PRAYERS. HE IS SO NATURAL AND KIND AND CAN FIX ANYTHING, WELL ALMOST ANYTHING... HIS NAME IS COCONUT OIL. Over the years it has been discovered from scientific research that coconut oil has many health benefits for both inside and outside the body. I used to only use it whilst cooking because of its safety to cook at high temperatures and enjoyable taste. However, it became a total product ‘go to’ when my son developed excema and I wanted to try a more natural approach that wouldn’t damage his baby skin. Coconut oil not only hydrates the skin, it actually replaces all the essential fats we need for our natural ph balance to be restored. It helps the skin to actually retain moisture which is especially beneficial for treating those dryer areas of the body like elbows, feet and knees. Perfect for applying after a shower or swim when the skins moisture balance has been compromised. Coconut oil is also perfect for two days prior to a Spraytan to create a beautiful base for the tan to lie on. By actually ingesting coconut oil (experts suggest every morning) it can boost your metabolic rate, boost energy levels and lubricate your inside organs. It is now become part of a daily ritual that I add a teaspoon to my green tea in the morning and also to my son’s hot milk if he has a tummy ache or if they are having a smoothie for breakfast.

If you want to travel lightly on trips with regards to toiletries, coconut oil can be used for shaving legs, arm pits and also moisturises at the same time. A great twoin-one product for hair removal. It removes eye makeup and promotes healthier stronger eyelashes at the same time. Adding a few teaspoons of sugar to coconut oil can turn the oil into a beautiful, sugary, all over body scrub. It is also gentle enough to use on more delicate areas like the face and chest. Again the sugar scrub and coconut oil can be used to scrub dry, chapped lips. A total makeup bag essential, the oil can be mixed with a small amount of lipstick to become a beautiful gloss for lips and cheeks. The highlighting properties in the sheen give you a beautiful glow that is healthy, natural and perfect for sun kissed looks. Used on dry nipples, to prevent and soften stretch marks this stuff is a must have through any pregnancy. It is also gentle enough to use on baby bottoms instead of nasty chemicals. I enjoy using an organic coconut oil, the purer the better. Watch out for oils that have been heavily fragranced with coconut scents. They often contain more chemicals that can counteract the moisturising properties of the natural oil. So you know that saying - “If you were on a desert island and could only take one thing, what would it be?” Well now you have your answer.

INNER BEAUTY
BEAUTY WITH A PURPOSE With Ashley Allen We met with girl boss and definition of inner beauty - Ashley Allen to discuss her new ventures and how she is giving back through her business. The Petal Trust was created by Ashley Allen as an extension of her lash business. It is a way to serve women who are going through chemotherapy or radiation. Their purpose is to provide women who they have suffered partial or complete loss of their natural lashes, with eyelash extensions. “You can imagine that these women who are facing death and everything they have to deal with. Petal is about giving hope and a sense of feeling themselves.” Says Ashley. The Trust, which began in 2017, acts as a way to offer hope to those at a time when it seems almost lost. Currently serving over 30 women per week, Petal Trust has plans to expand even further and help more women to feel like the best version of themselves.
Viewing external beauty as a sense of hope has been a foundation of Allen’s business since the beginning. After a traumatic experience in her teens saw her slump into a depression, Allen searched for a way out. Beauty, and making others feel beautiful was her escape, and the beginning of an empire. Nine years later Ashley Allen Eyelash Extensions is taking Auckland by a storm, with new stores set to open in malls across the city and plans to take the business and the charity global. “I value each and every client that comes through my doors. Every single client and their story is important to us. They can feel that” She says. Sitting with Allen outside her new St Luke’s salon and watching her face as she gazed at her name on the wall, it is easy to see that watching her dreams unfold is still a surreal feeling and that hard work, determination, and passion can take you anywhere.
“I want to hold their hearts and hands even if only for part of the way.” She says.

INNER BEAUTY
THE INSIDE-OUT SKINCARE ROUTINE With Rebecca Bradley When we read about people’s skincare routines we normally expect to read a list of products they are using. While skincare products still play a big part in a good skincare routine, I believe there is so much more that contributes to good skin. “Beauty from the inside out” has always been a phrase that I have kept front of mind when thinking about how I look after my skin. Three things I try to focus on is diet, hydration and using natural products.
DIET
HYDRATION
I am all about balance, so instead of focusing on what I CAN’T eat I love to focus on what is GOOD to eat. Some things my skin loves are:
Staying hydrated has had the biggest impact on my skin. When I increase my water intake I notice a huge difference in my complexion! I aim to drink 2.5L a day and what has helped me do this is taking my water bottle with me EVERYWHERE. I am also a big advocate of starting the day with a large glass of warm lemon water. Not only does it rehydrate, but it flushes out any toxins in your body, helping to keep your skin clear! Essentially, it is important to have the right balance of water to oil on the surface of the skin.
Healthy FATS - chia seeds and good quality oils GREENS - I try to add a handful of spinach to most of my lunches and dinners or having a greens powder ANTIOXIDANTS - many cups of green tea, adding blueberries to breakfast and Vitamin C from fruit
PRODUCTS When it comes to products, I am a big believer in keeping it as natural as possible. I absolutely love Sukin products. The products contain nothing nasty and are still affordable. I love their cream cleanser, toner and moisturiser. I use these products morning and night. Also, I LOVE using rosehip oil on my skin in the evenings. It has completely changed my skin and has smoothed and hydrated my complexion.
