By: Mark Infield he Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine bike night was conceived as a no cause, no cost evening to simply get together and enjoy motorcycles and the people who ride them. We invited several vendors to share the evening of Tuesday, May 14th with us and our guests at The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine HQ at 711 W. Main Street in Jamestown. Some were not able to attend due to the fact that they were at the Myrtle Beach Spring Rally, (maybe next time)? But Rebel Spirit (https://therebelspirit.bigcartel.com/) from Thomasville, North Carolina, had some custom motorcycle parts (handlebars, intakes and sissy bars)that they make on display Robert Causey from NC CBA/ABATE(www.cba-abatenc. org/)passed out bumper stickers, calendars and literature about the importance of being proactive about legislation that affect NC bikers, They signed up two new members who will help strengthen our voice in Raleigh.

Chris did have a tip jar set out, but Chris pledged all donations to Jerry Willard who was severely injured at 8am on Saturday April 27th when he hit a tow truck which was parked overnight in the same lane of traffic! Jerry tried to avoid the crash but ended up hitting the bed of the tow truck according to North Carolina State Highway Patrol. Jerry’s wife Patricia Willard died at the scene of the crash and Jerry had his right arm severely cut. He was taken to Cone Hospital and then flown to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.As of Sunday morningApril28,there were no charges filed!! The crowd was very generous as bikers generally are.
