The Obstacle in our Path It occurred in ancient times in the Kingdom of a mighty ruler. The King ordered that a boulder be placed on a major roadway. The King then hid himself in the shadow and waited to see what would occur; would anyone attempt to remove the huge rock? Some of the King’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around the boulder, ignoring its existence. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none took action or tried to remove the boulder from the roadway. Finally, a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. The peasant then picked up his load of vegetables and noticed a purse lying in the roadway where the boulder

had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many of us never understand. Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition. Challenges in life do not act as pitfalls, rather they are boulders, stepping stones for us to achieve higher heights, for us to climb hire and aspire more and to become better people. Some people view challenges like irritating pests, they try to get around it, yet others tend to blame people and situations for what they perceive as their bad luck. We must know and believe that each boulder, each little obstacle in our life is there for us to be utilized, with much strength and persistence, you can overcome and then you will be in a better place than ever before.

Migraine
A migraine is a common type of headache that may occur with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or sensitivity to light. In many people, a throbbing pain is felt only on one side of the head. Some people who get migraines have warning symptoms, called an aura, before the actual headache begins. An aura is a group of symptoms, including vision disturbances, that are a warning sign that a bad headache is coming. Causes Migraine headaches tend to first appear between the ages of 10 and 45. Sometimes they may begin later in life. • Migraines occur more often in women than men • Migraines may run in families A migraine is caused by abnormal brain activity, which can be triggered by a number of factors. However, the exact chain of events remains unclear. Today, most medical experts believe the attack begins in the brain, and involves nerve pathways and chemicals. The changes affect blood flow in the brain and surrounding tissues. Alcohol, stress and anxiety, certain odors or perfumes, loud noises or bright lights, and smoking may trigger a migraine. Migraine attacks may also be triggered by:
common are: • Any processed, fermented, pickled, or marinated foods, as well as foods that contain monosodium glutamate (MSG) • Baked goods, chocolate, nuts, peanut butter, and dairy products • Foods containing tyramine, which includes red wine, aged cheese, smoked fish, chicken livers, figs, and certain beans • Fruits (avocado, banana, citrus fruit) • Meats containing nitrates (hot dogs, salami, cured meats) • Onions This list may not include all triggers. True migraine headaches are not a result of a brain tumor or other serious medical problem. However, only an experienced health care provider can determine whether your symptoms are due to a migraine or another condition.
• Caffeine withdrawal • Changes in sleep patterns • Exercise or other physical stress • Missed meals • Smoking or exposure to smoke Migraine headaches can be triggered by certain foods. The most

Over Your Coffee They say... Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.
Did you know...? The average person has about 1,460 dreams a year. That’s about four per night.

If you’ve ever ordered from Amazon, you know that anything over $25 will ship for free on the “Super Saver” option, or you can also use Amazon Prime and get almost everything shipped to you within 2 days. Obviously, the heavier the object, the more expensive it is to ship; so what’s Amazon’s limit for item weights? Based on their guidelines, the heaviest thing with Super Saver Shipping is a six-foot-tall Fire Safe. The Cannon Safe CO54 Commander Series Premium 90 Minute Fire Safe will hold 48 guns, has 13 locking bolts and costs almost $3500. How much does it weigh? 1,509 pounds! The shipping company says that it usually charges $700 to ship the safe, so Amazon is taking quite a hit in offering the free shipping for this item. Why do they do it? Costumer satisfaction. Amazon knows that even if they take a hit on some items, the math adds up in the end, and they get a lot of happy costumers in return.

DIY: Cork Stamps Materials needed:
just hack it all off and start over.
• Bunch of corks (ensure that you use spongy ones as dry corks will crumble) • One thick and one thin Sharpie (depending on your design) Note: some sharpies have dual tips • A VERY sharp and good craft knife 1. Start off by drawing your design with the Sharpie
2. Cut around your shape by sticking in the knife about ¼ of an inch down. NOTE: It is a small “puncture” move. No slicing. Ease the knife down and around the design little by little with slow sure movements.
4. Slowly and with extreme care chip away the excess with your knife.
5. Now you are ready to test your stamp. Any color ink can be used. Once you ink it you will notice what areas need to be cleaned up and cut more.
Try any design you like, for a Chanukah variation make them into cute Menorah and Dreidel shapes! (Ensure that you cut in a clockwise motion) 3. After you have cut around the whole design, slice into the cork sideways, again about a ¼ of an inch down. Do not hack into it as it may crumble. Slowly slice around the design keeping a rhythm of a back and forth motion. Do not cut under the design, just around. If you happen to cut too deep
