I had 12 bottles of whiskey in my cellar and was instructed by my wife to empty each and every bottle down the sink, so I proceeded with the task.

I’m not under the affluence on incohol, but thikle peep I am.

I’m not half as thunk as you might drink. I feel so foolish. I don’t know who is me, and the drunker I stand here the longer I get! Pimchas Surim!!

Red Wine And Your Health For years, scientists have been looking for a way to slow aging and help us live a longer life. Resveratrol, a substance found primarily in red wine, is what scientists believe is responsible for the benefits we see. Studies on mice, have shown to prolong life as much as 30%, which is significant. The fact that it worked on mice does not mean that it works on humans ( its very hard to study longevity in humans, mice live just 1 year while humans can live up to 100), but studies that look at the consumption of red wine in humans do show health benefits. There is also evidence that resveratrol prevents and lowers the risk of the major chronic diseases that are responsible for pre-mature death.

Health Benefits of red wine and resveratrol:

• Heart

disease is still the number one killer in the USA, even after spending hundreds of billions of dollars in research. The primary reason is because more people are becoming sicker at younger ages due to bad diet and lack of physical activity. Resveratrol has been shown to have similar effects as diet and exercise.

• Resveratrol also helps with the prevention of diabetes • Inflammation may be the cause of most chronic conditions. Resveratrol reduces inflammation in the body.

• There

is evidence that it will reduce your risk for Alzheimers and Parkinsons.

• Resveratrol is also a great immune booster.

So should you drink red wine or take resveratrol? Most people will not drink a cup of red wine every single day, plus, one pill will give you much more than a bottle of wine. Also, you avoid getting addicted to alcohol. For a healthy person with a healthy lifestyle, one glass of wine a day is probably enough. But if you are starting to lean towards getting heart disease, like your cholesterol is getting high or you’re overweight, or have any other risk factors for one of the previous mentioned diseases, then you should take resveratrol in a pill form.

KREPLACH Ingredients: 2 ½ cups flour 2 eggs ½ cup water ½ cup oil Pinch of salt

Filling: ½ lb. chopped beef, chicken or turkey 1 small onion, minced and Sautéed 1 egg 1 cube garlic ½ tsp. paprika ¼ tsp. pepper ¼ tsp. salt ¼ cup bread crumbs

Directions:

DOUGH: In a large bowl combine dough ingredients. Knead and roll out thin on floured board. Cut into 3-inch squares or circles.

FILLING: In a small bowl, mix filling ingredients well. Place 1 tsp. filling onto each square.

Fold over, press with tines of fork to seal.

TO BOIL: Place in boiling salted water. Cook approximately 20 minutes until kreplach float to top. Remove with slotted spoon, drain well. Serve in chicken soup.

TO SAUTE: Heat oil over medium flame in 10-inch skillet. Sauté boiled kreplach until golden brown on both sides.

Dough will roll out more easily after being wrapped in a damp cloth for one hour.
