and MORE? If that don’t get you off the couch and at the Expo Square, you are too jaded, and you need to watch less reality TV.

You might be asking yourself why we have Darryl Starbird’s National Rod & Custom Car Show in our magazine. You might be asking how the two things go together. You might be a woman asking what to get your man for Valentine’s Day. You might be asking yourself why you should go anywhere in the dead of winter. Given how we have taken on the task of taking better care of your health, you need to attend this here event for no other reason than to get out of the house and to blow the stink off, get a little exercise, wear something other than yoga pants, and talk to folks other than your family and budtender.

We got to tell you that they have discount tix on Starbird’s Website, so take $5 off per person, get an entire day of entertainment by pre-purchasing (kids 12 and under attend for free), show your family a good time while enjoying a stress free Valentine’s Day full of good times, good cheer and romantical fun. Starbird’s Custom Car Show happens Feb. 14-16 at Expo Square (4145 E. 21st St) in Tulsa. The hours are Friday, noon to 11 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Get your discount tickets and 2020 t-shirts at www. starbirdcarshows.com.

If you haven’t visited Starbird’s in a few (or ever), they’ve got many competitions, the old timey “Fine Nine” and “Go for the Gold” are still happening, but the 4th Annual Rockin’ Billy Bash is all about the DIY-ers, hot rodders, anti-main streamers, and every Okie’s favorite, the underdog.

Of course, that’s just the beginning. Perhaps you could take your thinking outside the normal dayto-day itinerary of life and talk to your loved ones while you look Motortrend’s at pretty, shiny cars, check out “Wrenched” the tattoo artists, beard contests, Justin Nichols and Maegan Ashline enjoy the good food they offer

at Starbird’s, and listen to real deal rock and roll that will get you jammin’ while you look at your reflection in all those bangin’ hubcaps. If we haven’t won you over yet, how about a demolition derby, minibike drag races, freestylers, flamethrowers, burnouts, donuts
