How To Boost Your Energy Levels By Making a Few Positive Changes to Your Sleep

• •

Tiredness is endemic in today’s society. The doctors even have a name for it, TATT; it means ‘tired all the time’. What’s causing this tiredness? Well, a multitude of problems: we work too much, we’re constantly bombarded with ideals that we can’t reach, we’re stressed, we don’t exercise enough, we’re not eating properly, we’re not sleeping properly. There are many different reasons. However, there are also many things that we can do to help boost our energy. Whether that’s something passive, such as taking the colon cleanser Mag 07 Powder, or active, such as boosting our exercise.

Here are some simple things that you can do right now to help you to sleep better, and therefore boost energy:

Improve Your Sleep

There might be many things impeding a good night’s sleep, so we’ll consider the common causes and suggest some potential antidotes:

1.

Too much light in the evening: In the evening, most of us watch TV, use tablets and mobiles, and sit under bright overhead lighting. Here are some things that you can do: a.Limit the amount of TV and internet use you’re getting.

b.If the above sounds impossible, invest in some orange-glass sunglasses. These help to cut out UV and are the next best thing to switching off. c. Turn all tablets, mobiles, and laptops to ‘night view’. •

The problem with light is that it prevents the body from producing melatonin. Melatonin is our sleep hormone. We need it in order to fall asleep.

2. Get your body healthy: sleep problems often occur because of poor diets and a lack of exercise. We won’t patronise you by telling you what you need to do here, but a varied diet and a 20-minute walk a day can make a lot of difference. You can also try to a supplement that boosts energy levels, such as Mag 07 Powder.

3. Too much stress: this can keep people awake all night. If you’re lying in bed late at night and unable to sleep because you feel ‘wired’, then stress is the likely cause. To reduce stress you need to make lifestyle changes, such as changing employment. This isn’t always possible, so instead, you’ll need to implement relaxation strategies, including: a. Mindfulness meditation an hour or two before bedtime. This can really help to settle you down.

b. Learn to breathe properly. You’d be incredibly surprised by how many of us don’t breathe correctly. You shouldn’t be taking shallow breaths, but deep, rhythmical breaths. c. Avoid watching the TV shows or reading internet forums that make you too emotional. It doesn’t matter if they make you happy, angry, and sad; if they induce strong emotions, you'll feel wide-awake. 4. Lose weight: sleep apnoea is a common reason that people feel tired all the time, and it is massively under diagnosed. You won’t necessarily be aware that you have it, but you will feel the effects if you do. If you’re worried, then go and ask your doctor for a sleep test. Alternatively, you can hire a CPAP machine for a few days and see if you experience sleep that is more refreshing.
