They originated as domestic vessels, and then crossed over as decorative elements, blown in glass, moulded in ceramics, bronze, silver, gold, and sculpted in marble…Many artists and designers have dedicated themselves to making vases over the ages. Vases tell the history of man, and of varying styles; they’ve witnessed culture and civilisations alike. Ceramic art, in myriad forms, began with vase-making.
