Bisque socket head, painted blue eyes, black upper eyeliner with painted curly short lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth in pouty expression, very full lips with center accent line, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K&H (in banner) Germany 526 1. Comments: Kley and Hahn, circa 1910. Value Points: fine modeling enhances the wistful sad expression, original wig, body, body finish, and antique dress which may be original. $1200/1500

Bisque socket head, painted grey side-glancing eyes, black upper eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with smiling expression, upturned lip corners, row of painted teeth between the shaded lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden balljointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, some wig pulls high on front crown rim. Marks: 151 S&H 7 ½. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910, from their rare art character series. Value Points: especially fine sculpting with defined cheek and chin dimples, and laughter crinkles around outer eye edges and lips, enhanced by finest complexion and painting. $3000/4000
