The creators, writers and sponsors of Throttle Life recognize, support and celebrate our women and men who are breast cancer survivors and those who are undergoing treatment. Breast Cancer is the most common and leading cause of death among women of all races. However, statistics show that men can and have been diagnosed with breast cancer. We ask that our readers think “PINK” and always wear the ribbon in support of Breast Cancer. In March we supported the American Diabetes Association’s National Alert Day. April has been designated as the National Distracted Driving Awareness Month along with Safe Kids week. May is National Asthma and Allergy, High Blood Pressure Education, Lupus and National Physical Fitness and Sports month. While we know it’s impossible to cover everything, we vow to do our part to help raise awareness for our health and safety. With June being the Men’s Health Awareness Month, the Throttle Life family would also like to show our support for our men’s health in the fight for Prostrate Cancer - the second leading cause of 14 – April 2012 PREVIEW | ThrottleLife.com

Zoo Ryder’s have the Zoo shot, Dirty South Riders have the Dirty Juice aka Hunch Punch. K9 has the Dog Piss and Slut Puppy and there is a independent rider out there by the name of Wolf who makes the Wolfaid. Least not forget Down-N-Dirty, one of the east coasts premiere clubs with their Dirty Juice. In this column I am the self nominated official beverage taster aka the Drinks Connoisseur. I had the pleasure of being knocked on my tail by a Zoo shot, being Hunched by the Punch and enjoyed the simple delight of pineapples in the Wolfaid. The Hunch

Each year Garood Custom Cycles, located in Lexington North Carolina chooses a charity for one of their custom builds. In 2011, the very deserving charity was the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Once the bike is completed it then spends a year on tour from the International Motorcycle Show to other mid-atlantic bike shows campaigning to raise awareness and fund raising via a raffle.
