FROM THE PRESIDENT The start of 2022 at Timuquana certainly feels a bit different than normal with the golf course restoration underway and activity around the Club more subdued. Although the course will be closed for the better part of eight months, I encourage members who do not frequent our various other Club activities, to participate in the variety of traditional and new events we have planned this year. Our new Catering Director, Derek Wilson and the F&B Committee have created a robust calendar of events throughout the year for all ages and interests. The Board of Governors continues to focus its efforts on the Club’s Centennial Strategic Plan. As it has done the previous two years, the Strategic Plan has been updated with accomplishments and actions on goals from 2021 and new/revised objectives created for 2022. An updated plan is on Board Governance tab of our website for members to review. This is a terrific resource for you to see what the management team, committees, and Board of Governors are focusing on each year. Another good resource to keep members informed is the monthly Board Update, which can also be found on the Board Governance tab of the website. This provides details on the Board’s discussion and action items, and is one of the various ways the Board communicates transparency with the membership and dispels misinformation amongst peer groups. Content within the Board Update often includes monthly and annual financial results and projections, detailed departmental operations updates, and a review of membership interest in the Club. This is also the time of year we encourage members to consider volunteering for committee positions. Committee volunteers have a one-year term that ends annually on March 31, concurrent with selection of the three annual Board positions and appointment of new committee chairs. Committee involvement is the lifeblood of quality clubs, and your participation ensures the needs of the members are being met. If you have an interest in serving, please email Greg Sheara at gsheara@timuquana.net. Lastly, I find it important to reiterate the scope of work on the golf course for our newer members and a refresher for our more seasoned ones. The Golf Course Master Plan can be found under the Board Governance tab on the Club’s website and lists the entire hole-by-hole scope of work. In summary, the Club will be completing the following restoration items: • Rebuilding all greens complexes. Expanding greens where they have shrunk over time. • Re-grassing all fairways and tee boxes. • Create additional Zoysia transitions between tees and greens (similar to #1, #2, #4 & #8) 4 | JA N UA RY/ F E B R UA RY 2 0 2 2

• Adding additional bunkers and tee boxes. • Selective tree removal to improve course conditions, specifically to the left sides of 12-14. • Replacing the entire irrigation system. • Replacing a substantial amount of drainage systems. • Enhancing #18 finishing hole • Replacing all concrete cart paths with natural screenings (other than areas near the clubhouse). • Dredging all ponds and improve pond banks. Having recently completed the upgraded practice facilities last summer, these areas will be open to members and their families throughout the closure. Teaching programs such as junior golf, clinics, and individual lessons will also be available throughout the year. Blanton and his team have setup several reciprocal arrangements around town to enjoy, a list of which is detailed in the golf section of the website. We understand that it’s difficult to lose the ability to play at TCC for a good portion of this year, but like all of Timuquana’s assets, the golf course needs to be repaired and replaced from time to time. As with any of our construction projects, we encourage members to reach out to our professional staff to get tours of the work and learn more about the enhancements. Progress photos will be distributed along the way. When we reopen in late summer, the enhancements will surely be worth the wait. Respectfully,

Michael Muldoon 2021 - 2022 President

MEMBERSHIP & MARKETING Initiation Fees Increasing April 1 Our initiation fees are expected to increase on April 1, 2022. A chart of the proposed new fees is listed below. The Founder and Honorary Life Members will vote on these fees at the Founder's Day Annual Meeting in March. If approved, the new rates will go into effect on April 1. Initiation Fee Impact: Current Members Current Junior and Intermediate golf members who are simply aging up to Founder will not be impacted by these changes. They are locked into the rates they were presented at joining. Any members currently paying their initiation fees on an installment plan will also not be impacted within their current plan. All other current members who wish to transfer to a new category, such as House Social to Founder, National to Founder or House Social, or any other membership transfer, must do so by March 31, 2022 in order to qualify for our current initiation fee rates. Once initiation fee rates increase on April 1, current members who request a transfer are subject to the new initiation fees, as well as any transfer fees or policies.

Initiation Fee Impact: New Members As a reminder, prospective members are not locked into initiation fee rates at the time of application, but are subject to the fees in place at the time in which they are officially invited to join. Prospective members who are officially invited to join the Club by March will be granted the current initiation fees. Those who are still on the wait list as of April 1, 2022 will be subject to the new fees upon invitation. Membership Wait List Updates Timuquana continues to see historically high membership interest with inquiries and applications coming in consistently. Currently, our wait list for new applicants is expected to surpass two years. The actual wait time may be longer or shorter based on attrition and the date of application. Movement on the wait list has slowed in the final quarter of the year as a result of lower than average attrition. Traditionally, our attrition averages 5-6 members per month, however, that number was just 2 in both October and November, and 3 in December. That's wonderful news for membership retention, but results in longer wait times for prospective members.

New Member Applications Prospective members are still encouraged to apply for membership. Applications are held in the order in which they are received, securing a 'place in line' on the preliminary list. Two (2) sponsor letters must also be submitted to complete the file. Once a date becomes available, prospective members will be invited to attend a Board Meet & Greet Cocktail Reception. These events are limited and scheduled further out in the process. Sponsors and applicants are always welcome to contact the membership office for an update on their estimated wait time. These wait times are only an estimate and cannot be guaranteed. Exact order number or placement on the list is held in confidence. If you have questions or would like to sponsor a new member, please feel free to contact me Holly E. Kaspar, MBA Membership and Marketing Director hkaspar@timuquana.net

GOLF NEWS Happy New Year and welcome 2022. I hope that you and your families had a wonderful holiday season and I wish you all the best for 2022. The game of golf saw record numbers once again in 2021, and our Club fell into the same trend recording a record 32,500 rounds. Congratulations to our 2021 Men’s Member-Member Champions, Steve Kunz and Steve Lovett. They defeated Spencer Cummings and Victor Hughes in dramatic fashion as Steve Lovett drained a 20-foot putt for the win on the final hole. Our golf course closes on January 3 for the restoration, and our eyes are set on a reopening date of September 1. The construction will begin at the back of the property on holes 12-15, and crews will work their way back towards the Club. We will begin sprigging the grass in the fairways in March, and all sprigging will be completed by June 1. Please be sure to read the weekly Golf News emails every Friday to get updates and pictures of the progress. Also, as we progress with the restoration, we will schedule course tours that will allow you to see the changes taking place. During the restoration, the golf course is considered a construction zone and the course will be off-limits to all members. Walking the golf course or riding your personal

carts on the course is strictly prohibited during this construction process. Please contact the Professional Staff if you would like to tour the course to view the progress. While the course is shut down, the Golf Shop will be open from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Tuesday – Sunday. The driving range will be open 8:00 am – dusk, except for Sundays and Wednesdays when the range closes at 5:00 pm. We are very fortunate to receive great support from other private clubs in the area. To make a tee time reservation with one of our reciprocal clubs, you must contact the Timuquana Professional Staff. These clubs will not accept tee times directly from Timuquana members. We have reciprocity at the following clubs: • Atlantic Beach • Marsh Landing • Marsh Creek • The Plantation Club at Ponte Vedra • Ponte Vedra Inn & Club • Sawgrass Country Club • Deerwood Country Club
