The above quote from the “To be or not to be...” soliloquy in Shakespeare's Hamlet seemed to be a perfect way to start this article on sleeping well. In my counselling and hypnotherapy practice, I get 3 to 4 calls a week from very sad and distressed people who are getting almost no sleep. This highly motivates me as a healer because I believe that a good night's sleep is one of the most important factors in the overall physical, mental, and Spiritual health of an individual. I imagine that only established sages will remain permanently on the level of the Trans-Rational state.

But first let’s start with the basics, the Pre-Rational.

1. Pre-Rational: Pre-Rational is a state that is below the rational mind; it can be naïve, or simplistic, and it can carry a certain egoic arrogance. We can see this in new-age movements (Magic thinking) or in current conspiracy theories.

The Pre-Rational minds think that they know more then others, especially more than the rational mind, which they frown upon. While their belief system can be rather naïve and baseless, they feel superior. They won’t look for proofs, nor check sources, and they will be easily swayed by others. The hard truth, for them at least, is that they are, as pre-rational minds, even less developed than the rational ones.

2. The Rational mind carries reason and logic.

To judge or not to judge?

have learned much from Ken Wilber, a contemporary author and pandit. If you haven’t read his books I suggest as a start: Grace and Grit, his autobiography and journey with his wife, it is profound, inspiring and moving. One of the subjects developed by Ken is the “Pre-Trans-Fallacy”. Don’t let this unusual name discourage you, it is quite simple and so very important, especially for contemporary thinkers like us.

Here’s my humble and simplified rendition of it: We all carry a different mind-set. Sometimes, and perhaps for most of us, we can experience the following mind-sets, and we alternate between them according to our personal development:

3. Above the rational mind comes the Trans-Rational, which is an open mindset that uses reason, but that see beyond the status quo. It senses or sees deeper truth. It can empathize, express compassion, and see clearly the evolutionary impulses behind it all. It carries the deepest wisdom and can perceive all perspectives taken by everyone, with depth and wisdom.

The Pre-Trans-Fallacy represents the fallacy, or mistake, made when one is in the Pre-Rational (naïve) mode, but believes that they are in the Trans-Rational (Wisdom, deepest insights) mode.

The evolutionary process takes us from the Pre-Rational to the Rational and ultimately to the Trans-Rational. I believe that we may go back and forth, and often unknowingly. Some unethical teachers and gurus used this to their own advantage, discrediting the rational mind and enhancing the naïve PreRational mind.

In judgement, one can be either inspired by the Pre-Rational or Rational mind. This mind-set can be shallow, and superficial. Judgment is an opinion that criticizes. It implies a power differential, a power over others, a sense of ego’s deceptions, thinking that we are better. It is an automatic and impulsive reaction. And we can even turn this tendency towards ourselves, judging ourselves harshly and unnecessarily.

Discernment however is an ability to perceive life from a profound perspective. We can say that discernment is inspired by the Trans-Rational mind, by the higher mind. From that level, we can then sense other’s predicaments, we are able to take their view, and perhaps ultimately see it all united in this great collective humanity, ever learning and growing. I believe that this learning benefits not only ourselves but all for humanity, as our very own expansion is shared, and the world will benefit from it as much as we do, directly or indirectly.

With discernment we can see situations and people from a deeper place. We can sense the collective or individual trauma at the root of one’s reaction, we can sense sadness beyond or behind anger. It isn’t a rigid reaction but more of a perception that inspires compassion and wisdom.

Discernment leads to love, understanding, empathy, and a deep sense of satisfaction.

Let us all learn to live with wisdom, kindness and discernment as it is wonderfully fulfilling and will inspire others, and positively affect the entire world.

Gardening in the Mind by: Ian Prattis

S

tillness and inner silence is a necessary part of taming the wild mind. Yet, in our modern world of fast paced lifestyles we rarely stop running. There are so many distractions that we quickly become outwardly dependant, un-centered. We fail to find the time or discipline to access the store of mindfulness just waiting to be cultivated. The problem is that we have closed the doors to taming the wild mind due to wrong perceptions, ignorance and continual suffering. When our consciousness is narrow, we hold on tight to all our self-imposed dramas and suffering – slamming the door shut on our internal strength and keeping our dysfunctional habits well fed and alive. The remedy is, however, within reach. We can unravel the knots of suffering through the practice of mindfulness and move from being mindless to being mindful. The knots of suffering are then not so tightly held once the tapestry of our consciousness expands and we can truly throw away strongly. This is brought about by organic gardening in the mind.

When I retired from teaching at Carleton University, a dear friend asked what was I occupying my mind with these days. Here is my reply to her: “I have enjoyed the time and space to play with Mother Earth as a diligent and slightly crazed organic gardener. The blaze of flowers at the front of the house is a testimony that I am doing OK so far. An experienced gardener would no doubt wonder what on earth I am doing in the back yard of the house. The back garden is surrounded by trees so it is as though one is in the middle of a forest. I plant vegetables in between flowers. Veggies have such a dull life struggling to poke their heads above ground, then taking in rain, sun and soil nutrients to end up on some human’s plate. So to make them happy I plant them between gorgeous flowers so they have some jazz and elegance around them while they are alive. Just imagine a carrot waking up in the morning to see a beautiful pink hibiscus in full bloom on one side and multi coloured snapdragons on the other. They are bound to be happy and grow really well before they end up on some human’s plate. And on it continues with beets, tomatoes, lettuce, arugla, swisschard, kale, rhubarb, beans, asparagus, cucumbers, peppers, peas all planted between beautiful clumps of flowers.

There is also a herb garden in amongst the peony bushes. Some herbs are very nice and well behaved, but others are just downright unsociable. I had to separate a green basil plant from a red basil plant as they were always quarrelling. Now that they are at the opposite

ends of the garden in their own solitary tubs – they are thriving. An experiment I tried was to move a small juniper tree from the front garden, as it was dying there, to the back garden where there is a tall cedar hedge. I think it will be much happier in the back yard – cedar language is a bit different to juniper language but a lot like French and Spanish – so they can communicate a bit. I have welcomed the juniper into the backyard with much compost and water but will leave it up to the cedars to encourage her to live – and she has decided to do so and thrives in her new environment. And on it goes with much weeding and then much more weeding to keep both the veggies and the flowers happy. Sometimes I am not aware of the difference between a weed, veggie or a flower – so I just leave whatever it is to grow before taking any action. My garden is a still place, yet buzzing with life and joy.

All of this is a metaphor for the organic gardening I do in my mind every day. That blooms also – with the diligent daily watering of the beautiful seeds and the careful pruning and transformation of the negative and harmful weeds. The still place in the garden is the still place in my mind. Once there I stop, reflect on my patterns and habits of energy use that can be changed and ensure that appropriate action is taken. Simple yet surprising!

Covid Loves Water – The Sequel

In March’s article, we talked about how the cumulative effect of cold Canadian winter and the fallout from Covid fostered dehydration and compromised your physical emotional, mental (PEM) wellbeing and Brain Health. We then went on to demonstrate how the Brain Health is affected and can be restored by the consumption of alkaline, ionizing, high antioxidant, very healthy negatively-charged, Live drinking water.

The Secret, Abusive Alien Trauma

e have many individuals walking around, scratching their heads and asking themselves, "Why do I feel unsafe and anxious?", "What makes it so hard to just survive?", and "Why can't I trust?" Knowledge is power. But what if the knowledge you're seeking in answer to these questions is intentionally hidden to prevent you from accessing it? And you’ve been fed false stories instead of the truth? It sounds like a diabolical plotline to a dark movie. Wait, it is! It's the collective reality that we have been experiencing on Earth for thousands of years.

The trauma of the alien invasion of Earth is still one of the best kept secrets that is out in the open. I mean that if you care to look, if you inquire, if you value truth, you will see the signs of our enslavement all around you, and yet full disclosure has yet to happen for humanity. But it is coming in this ascension timeline: you can only change what is acknowledged.

The alien hybridization trauma has cheated humanity of knowing its Divinity. The negative agenda and the distortions placed on the human DNA blueprint have been so pervasive that there’s a confused perception of what it means to be human. The inorganic and dead energies, the predator mindset, sexual misery, emotional pain, corruption, trafficking, and the black magic of money, to name just a few influences, have become accepted as the "normal reality" on Earth. We may not even know why we feel angry and disconnected, we just do. And yet, it doesn't feel safe, make sense, or feel natural.

Our boundaries have been severely violated through multiple timelines in multiple ways yet this is largely repressed by the masses. The fight or flight trauma response recycles in our collective memory, as does the powerless feeling from the reptilian invasion. When we consider the heavy impact of warring and continuing parasitism, it explains humanity's separation consciousness, intolerances and fears. It's perfectly understandable that our inclination would be to lean into self-protection from further hurt, even if we don’t know why! Of course we fear more power abuses, and being abandoned! This all translates to shutting down the heart, and it’s therefore difficult to develop our organic higher sensory perception, and authenticity. Then especially, how do we learn to trust our Higher Self?

no surprise that we keep looking externally, sometimes addictively, to anything and everything to cover up the discomfort.

The healing of our history, personal and planetary, begins in telling the truth. This means educating ourselves about our multidimensionality, and taking responsibility to address our shadow selves, clear our Lightbody of the imprints left by these traumas, and free ourselves from the emotional pain. We can do this, now.

We don't have to wait for full disclosure from somebody else to create change. Our truth is found within.

In unity, we can dissolve the collective pain. We can remember our Divinity and allow ourselves to surrender into the unconditional love and safety of our sacred, inner God-Source. This is our higher reality, and it’s time to reclaim our power.

Introduction to Unity: The Power of Release

H

ow can we explain the glut of books and videos on how to de-clutter? Marie Kondo has written 65 books on the Japanese art of de-cluttering and organizing.

The TV show “Hoarders,” that depicts the real-life struggles and treatment of people who suffer from compulsive hoarding disorder, is now in its 8thseason. There is even a national association for Professional Organizers in Canada (POC). It seems that many of us are obsessed with getting rid of stuff.

true Divine nature. Renunciation, or the ability to renounce, allows us to shed the thought that we are only human and therefore limited. By releasing the “only human” thoughts, we release a limited sense of self, our finite self, to reveal the Infinite Self. Finally, releasing involves repenting, which originates both from the Greek meaning to change one’s mind, and from Hebrew in which it means “to return, restore, come back or turn back,” in this case from our past.

And this is what the Power of Release is all about: getting rid of our “stuff.” Not only our physical stuff but also, and especially, our old thoughts. Co-founder of Unity, Charles Fillmore, noted that “there must be a renunciation or letting go of old thoughts before the new can find place in consciousness.” There is healing on the other side of release or elimination when we erase all the false and return to the Truth that we are Divine.

How do we know when it’s time for us to release? Often it is congestion in some part of our body that alerts us to the need to assert the Power of Release. Clogging the mind with unforgiveness, self-criticism or non-constructive or limiting beliefs is “stinking thinking.” Spiritual Release is our power to cleanse, renounce and repent

Release is my spiritual name and nature. I naturally and effortlessly release wasteful thoughts of unworthiness and only-human limitations. With every breath, I release the moment past, that I might be wholeheartedly present now.

BIG NEWS! Things Are Changing...

e're into Spring and have some news updates for you about me about where I am going about where Lukenosis hypnosis is going, what I'm going to specialize in the future.

So we've been doing this hypnosis thing for about 23 years now, right? And I initially started To help people. Stop smoking back in the day when I was doing this when I was about 18 got really good at helping people quit smoking it.

Typically for most people, about 80% of people would be an hour one sessions, or they need and then they would become a non-smoker.

I specialized in that for a while and then went for a long period helping people with anything because really people like well hypnosis what can use it for better question is what can't you use it for any think you want to get better at you can use hypnosis to help you.

Any negative emotion fear anxiety depression sadness.

You can help use the tools to hypnosis to disintegrate these things to get through these things to resolve these issues and any negative beliefs that you've got i.e. I am not good enough.

I'll never get that car that house that promotion and they're just let negative beliefs negative beliefs are abit like I don't know if you look at your window now he got one and if you see a tree there's a tree nearby and if it's a bit windy near where you are, you'll start to see the tree move the branches, perhaps move the leaves on the trees, perhaps move now, you can't see the wind but you can see the impact on the tree of the wind. i.e again the branch is moving or the leafs moving is a bit like a belief you can't see a belief, but you can see it in as much. as in your life. Are you getting more of what you want or it getting more of this shit you no longer want that you feeling more the feelings you want to feel or you feeling the feelings.

You don't want to feel so that's kind of what a belief is.

So hypnosis to get rid of beliefs that have been holding you back and integrate install beliefs are empowering like you are good enough. You can be successful in your life. So I had a long period of time where I help people for manner kind of problems anxiety was one.

I also worked with many people different kinds of addictions to alcohol crack heroin. Basically all the things that people said I shouldn't do when I got involved in hypnosis. I don't work with children don't work with people that were sexually abused do I work with people that have strong addictions like heroin cocaine crystal meth. These are all the things that I worked with because I mean mismatcher which means if you tell me not to do something I'm probably going to do it.

So I worked of all the people that are supposedly shouldn't work with because hypnosis wouldn't work for them and it would be ineffective and I worked with those people and had amazing success with those people. So going forward and made a choice. I made a choice going forward that this year 2021 most of my time in hypnosis and change work is going to be spent more on helping people overcome addictions and addictions take many different forms.

They could be technical addictions.

You're addicted to your cell phone.

You're addicted to Facebook social media.

I used to laugh at this.

It's really scary. I don't have to deal with this. But I know you've had some success with this that I'm sending that my client to you.

Doesn't it mean I'm not going to work with people that are ask for my help ask for my counsel on these other issues and I'm still going to be available to that. But I'm going to be working more and more on people that have addictions more and more helping these people more and more programs books that I'm looking to write programs and make videos.

Yes. It's a particular set of skills that I have and that doesn't mean that going forward.

I'm looking to put together in the coming months and year. It's going to be focused on that going forward. So that was just a quick update.

I'm not going to help people for other issues. If you've got something else negative emotion you want to release something like anxiety, if you're looking to release weight, it doesn't mean I'm not going to help you still if you want to quit smoking which is a form of addiction a lot of people believe doesn't mean I'm not going to help people like that who called me up and asked for my help doesn't mean I'm going to stop doing that but what it does mean is more and more of my time more and more my videos more and more

"Does Learning Reiki Online Really Work?"

Did you know that many people have learned Usui Holy Fire Reiki online the past year with amazing results? I believe Holy Fire Reiki is currently the only major style of Reiki that can be taught online because of its higher vibrations! In Holy Fire Reiki, attunements can be done over the distance on live Zoom sessions because the Holy Fire energies are much stronger than those of pre-Holy Fire Reiki. In fact, over the last year close to 10,000 students worldwide have learned Reiki online through the Holy Fire energies (Source: ICRT).

Classes are taught live with a Reiki Master on Zoom, so students can interact with the Reiki Master and with their classmates like an in-person class. Interaction is the basis of deep learning.

If you are unsure if online Reiki is effective, let me share my experience. Initially, I was hesitant about teaching Holy Fire Reiki online. I had been teaching Reiki in person for five years, so I was a reluctant online Reiki Master Teacher. So, I contacted my Reiki Master of five years, William Lee Rand, president of the International Center for Reiki Training in the US and told him my doubts. He told me to just “go ahead” and teach online and stop worrying – the Holy Fire would take care of everything.

I took the plunge and taught Usui Holy Fire Reiki classes – Levels 1, 2 and Master and voila, it worked! My students were attuned in live Zoom classes, they felt the energy, they released and cleared issues, began their healing journeys and were able to send healing Reiki energy to each other in our online classes across the distance. It was just like an in-person class.

The only exception to this are online Usui Holy Fire classes for Levels One and Two which we teach over two days as a package.

Clash of Beliefs Move Us Forward by: Diane Oliver

W

ith the advent of spring, we will soon be able to walk freely and easily social distance again. I don’t know about you, but as winter comes to an end, I feel exhausted! The roller coaster ride of Covid-19 and its sophisticated system of morphing into variants, plus the roller coaster ride of vaccines, it feels like we’re between a rock and a hard place most of the time! It will be good to be able to get out of the house and sit outside. This start, stop, stall is taking its toll on everyone.

As Nature shows us, when a change of season comes along, the outgoing and incoming seasons seem to collide for a few weeks, before the new season settles in. Moving forward individually and collectively, as we seem to be attempting to do right now, implies that, what we’re going through is Nature’s way – beliefs are clashing and like the changing seasons, an unsettling time is upon us.

We’re not only dealing with the pandemic in a big way, we’re also dealing with big ticket issues of racism, family violence, injustices, corruption at high levels of leadership. We’re faced with the deep question of who can you believe and trust nowadays? We just don’t know.

Mark Carney, a former Bank of Canada Governor has written a book called “Value(s). He states that the world needs to “go back to morality”. Isn’t this the clash we are unknowingly feeling right now?

Covid is taking the blinders off. As we awaken to the fact that the status quo no longer works for us, we are faced with our own reality and need for change, both personally and collectively. Covid has awakened us to how our personal choices affect others.

When we observe how higher consciousness is trying to take its rightful place over corrupt ways right now, it’s not surprising that we are experiencing the shift as if we are on an emotional roller coaster ride.

We simply need to stay the course, be patient and consistently choose the positive. The outcome depends on each one’s choice. Could we conclude that there is an unknown planetary election on right now? The vote is between higher consciousness versus immoral, unethical ways.

The Wind of Change

T

he Wind is the bulk movement of air on the earth’s surface.

The Wind has two aspects: its speed and its energy content.

On a sunny warm day, the wind is a relief to the humid air. It carries with it the smells of flowers, freshly cut grass, and helps carry the gentle chirping of the birds as they dance from branch to branch.

On a winter’s eve, the wind can cut like knife carrying with it snow drifts and pellets of ice that magnify a snowstorm. On the surface the wind’s definition is the same as in both cases it is the movement of energy. But the speed to which it moves, is more impactful than the movement itself.

Spiritual change is much like the wind. The shifts we experience that we invite into our lives are much like the wind on a summer’s day. We welcome the change, taking in all it has to offer. We can inhale the air with ease enabling us to make the spiritual shifts at our own pace, never pressured nor imposing. These shifts calm our mind and encourage our soul, for they feed the mind with assurance that spirituality is not a battle of wills but a journey of peace. This shift is termed growth.

Spiritual shifts can at times be the winter’s wind; harsh, imposing, and relentless. We are left overwhelmed with how this entered our lives. It is never welcomed and almost always leaves a mark on our soul. The energy swirls around us reminding us of the cascade of events but never giving an understanding of how we got here. This is a path with no road behind us but rather a place in time with no clear exit. It may feel like there is no road leading to calmer times and leaves us longing for the past when the only wind we felt was that summer’s breeze. This shift is termed trauma.

Consider taking time to understand where you are in your healing journey. This first step of beginning to move past the question of ‘why’ and move toward the answer of ‘how’ is transformative - how to move forward, how to see the light within the dark and how to love yourself for moving toward taking back you and your expedition of life. And when you do that, something amazing can come from it – you will feel the wind again. Because as you stay within your trauma affected state, all you feel is the stillness of air as the energy of trauma is imposed on you and lingers. The minute you move forward with your energy to start thinking of “how” to take back your life, you have moved the energy. You now will feel that gentle summer breeze again. You are making it past what was and starting your new normal.

Wind wants to move. It may feel like it reached for you but in truth it reached out not minding who, just to be felt. So now that the harsh may have hit you, encourage it to keep moving and not stopping with you. Send the wind to the light where it can transform from extreme to gentle air that moves the leaves on the trees in gentle sways and gives the birds the soothing gliding high up in the sky.

And once you do this you will feel as light as feather riding a wave of energy leaving the harsh past long long behind you.

But as a gentle reminder, the wind that brought that trauma is energy. And though no energy can be extinguished, it can be moved.

Approaching the experience of trauma through the lens of spirituality can bring light to a time when darkness cloaks all. The knowing that there are miracles within the most difficult journeys can provide strength and assurance. The miracles are means by which the energy that has enveloped you and your life, can be encouraged to move toward the light, to transform and leave you feeling stronger, healed, and motivated to find your new you. The trauma has changed your expectation of your experiences, but it has not changed who your soul knows you are. Moving through a spiritual perspective on trauma may provide you with a means to step forward on your journey. Not to forget but to forge forward knowing you are a survivor of this imposing energy.

pril showers bring May flowers! It can also bring the “showers” of anxiousness, fear and a huge amount of stress for some entrepreneurs because taxes are in the air and it’s something that cannot be avoided… just like death! But it doesn’t have to be that way!

If stress is building just reading this I highly recommend you take 8 long, deep breaths and repeat - “I’ve got this” “Everything is going to be okay because I have all I need to get this done”.

Here is a list of supplies you will need to get the job done: • Expanding file folder or large brown envelopes or a binder with sheet protectors (these will hold your receipts and documents • Sharpie marker - to label the sections/envelopes • Entrepreneurs checklist that will ensure you have included everything you can claim - you can grab this from my website www.steppingstonesforsuccess.ca/YearEnd • An Excel spreadsheet (I have a Sole Proprietor's Income and Expense tracker I call the Financial Fitness Workbook that includes an income tax income statement, HST tracker and professional looking income statement you can use as proof of income - it’s on sale for the month of April for only $47) • Or a pencil, paper and calculator if you prefer to do it “old school” • Or bookkeeping software for those of you who are more techy Gather and sort your receipts - I like to sit on the floor and sort my receipts into categories - meals, gas, office supplies, home office - heat, hydro, water, repairs and maintenance, etc. Check the Entrepreneurs Checklist and choose the categories that best fit your business.

To make it easier to enter onto an Excel spreadsheet like the Financial Fitness Workbook, take each category and sort them by month -- that is the extent of sorting you need to do. Get the kids to help you sort them - I did that when my kids were younger - pay them $5/10 and they are happy.

Do NOT force yourself to sit down for a full day to do everything, but do schedule regular time to do CHUNKS. If you notice overwhelm is building, step away, go for a short walk or just go in another room and do some breathing. Refocus and get back at it. Just think how great it will feel to get it all done.

Have Courage to Connect to Rise Up! by: The Dancing Motivator - Penny Lee Prevost

W

ith spring now upon us, it’s time to review and renew our body. When it comes to moving the body’s way, we must be aware of how our body likes to move to give us a better understanding on how to navigate through space with ease.

Every BODY is different in a preferred way of moving. Think back to when you rocked your children or grand-children. Did they like to bounce up and down or rock back and forth or perhaps sway side to side? Naturally we know what our body’s way is.

Connecting to our body’s way is a matter of reflecting and reviewing what each bone in our body does to support us.

With spring comes renewed life, why not take time to do the same for your body. Learn to renew your body by connecting with each of your bones and sense how it responds to certain movements, make note and recognize what your preferred way is.

Co-creator of the Nia Technique, Debbie Rosas shares through her podcast “Get in” the importance of our shin bones and how they allow us to rise up to move through life as an upright bi-pedal being.

“Your two shin bones, your lower limb of the leg bones. We don't have one, but two bones which are like pillars directing energy to the earth, they help us balance and are very much like fence posts. So when we walk, we plant those two bones vertically. They're a part of us that make it possible for us to walk, run, dance, skip, to get in and out of the car or in and out of the bathtub, we need them and count on them to shift body weight. Now the smaller of two bones, the one on the outside is a reminder to be gentle that there's a part of that lower limb of your leg that makes it possible for you to rest and be supported not only on the inside, but the outside called the fibula. The bigger bone, the one on the inside the tibia, that's a thicker bone that really is meant to give you the most support. Now it's interesting when you look at those two bones, and you find this throughout the body, you'll get more support always from the inside, something that is closer to the inside. So those two shin bones the bigger one inside supports you more from the center. You can rest more into that bone by turning the toes slightly in. What this does is it engages the inner arch of the foot, which is in direct alignment with that big bone, the inner arch your big toe and your next two toes. Now sense that and then turn your toes out, which means you're going to have more weight on that thinner fibula shin bone, as well as the outer arch, your foot, which is your little toe, and the next toe. Now sense how that is less stable. Imagine that your shin bones are like lightning rods, that direct energy down into your feet into the earth, and that also directs energy up into your thighs, all the way up into the whole body."

When I dance, I relate to each of my body parts, such as my shin bones that give me a sense of spiritually connected to myself and the universe. Lyme Disease, Long Covid and Tools to Help by: Helene Anne Fortin “Most chronic diseases and illnesses can be markedly improved by changes in diet and hydration.”

E

veryone has their own unique journey. Mine was a near-decade living with Lyme Disease. How do we dig ourselves out from under these heavy, chronic diseases that are so debilitating? Let’s face it, these plagues wear us down, consume all our energies and affect not only ourselves but all whom we touch.

A bit of personal history: my disease affected my central nervous system and my brain. I was close to becoming a vegetable and only a few in the Western medical profession would even believe that I was ill. I have Babesia, a malarialike form of Lyme Disease (there are many different pathogens within this disease with a wide range of symptoms).

But the right helpers came along. Malaria drugs kept me stable enough for a number of years. Note: I am now able to function without these drugs and just use acupressure on myself daily as well as a changed diet and increased hydration.

Through that period, I learned two things: 1) that I could control my energy: using easy-to-learn energy tools on myself daily (that I now teach to others); and 2) that the food I was eating and my lack of hydration was contributing markedly to my symptoms and, in fact, prohibiting me from getting better.

My turning point with my chronic disease was changing my diet, upping my liquids, fixing what was going wrong in my stomach/spleen/digestive tract which was already askew prior to getting Lyme disease. I said earlier, I have been blessed to work with geniuses in the field of well-being.

One being Andrew Sterman, a Traditional Chinese Food Specialist/Herbalist from NY, and his amazing acupuncturist wife, Ann Cecil-Sterman who have radically changed my vision of myself and what I could do easily and daily to allow my body to heal. I also have an advantage as I am a certified Eden Energy Medicine practitioner. I have focussed my recent training on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) discovering the powerful tools that lie within acupressure, diet and the 5 Elements Theory (a holistically way of healing the body, mind and spirit that I teach). I now build this knowledge into my mentoring/consultation work.

We are living in a time that requires great courage: courage to know we will get through whether we are living with a debilitating disease such as Long Covid or Lyme disease (or any other one for that matter). Courage to know that our bodies are capable of healing. Courage to know that there is an end in sight. So, whether you are dealing with Long Covid or are in perfect health, find ways to up the liquids you intake daily in the form of soups and stews. Home cooking is best. Water will only flush through your body. We are looking for hydrating foods with nourishment. Try to ingest only warm or cooked foods (never raw) especially if you are dealing with any illness. Eat foods that are easy to digest.

Reduce the sugars and caffeine if you can.

Pay attention to what happens to your body when you ingest a food. Which ones make the symptoms/emotions worse? Which ones lessen them? Your body will speak to you in pain, burps, in tautness of muscles, emotions, etc… listen to its wise stories.

One of the reasons why I am so much in awe of Traditional Chinese Medicine (and the work I do in this field) is that it goes beyond the healing of pain and disease, beyond the maintenance and repair of the physical body, the goal is to improve the quality of your life: in body, mind and spirit.

Know, I am still a work in progress… probably always will be but my hope is that sharing these simple strategies will help prevent you from being disabled by exterior pathogens.
