I suggest the following mature, mutual, patient and step-by-step process of becoming emotionally closer: Dating…Courting…Engaging… Marrying…Wedding…Deepening… For most intelligent, sensitive and loving individuals it takes between 3 and 5 years to reach the intimate marrying stage. It takes at least this long for them to readily see the stark differences in their personalities, negotiate and finally accept these valid differences. Note that Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet realized their stark differences as a Montague and a Capulet only when they went “inside” the walls of Verona!! Romantic love was eclipsed and destroyed by the human tragedy of family feuding. The common expression is, “When you marry someone you are marrying their whole family.” Most young people do not fully realize this and rush head-long into what later becomes a broken relationship. In the English language, we have the words: “independence”, “dependence and “inter-dependence”. Interestingly, there is no such word as, “inter-independence”. I suggest this concept when two highly independent people connect in a mature, deep relationship. I also suggest to my relationship coaching clients that they ask themselves if they, and/or

relationship. So that we can rejoin with self-respect. As it is good for us, yet also good for everyone. We also can learn to express the love in our heart by releasing inner walls of resentments, judgements, and perhaps on the hurt or pain we carry with us. It is possible to release them if we wish to. Then we truly access abundance. We can cultivate a perspective of abundance, allowing ourselves to love, to be grateful for life, for the lessons we are learning, and on the possibilities ahead. My clients often say that they feel that they do not allow themselves to connect with the beauty of life, the magic of it, connecting with life itself as a mystery, so deep that we see no end to the magnificent depth of its existence. We can learn to do so. So I ask, can you allow yourself to do so? For it is the very foundation of a satisfying life. We may need a hand to move in that direction, but it all starts with the desire to move forward, into a new vista created by a more open-minded perspective, filled with gratitude and love. Love is essential. Dropping the tendency to judge and hold grudges feels immensely freeing. Canada is currently the number one best country in the world, an overall ranking which considers quality of life, environment, health care, etc. Yet we may not always take the time to appreciate it. To develop the art of seeing. Of slowing down enough to look around. The art of truly seeing. My invitation to you today is to learn how to shift your perspective. We always have the power to focus on various aspects of our life. What if we learned how to focus on abundance? Abundance takes many forms and can also manifest as the potential for gratitude in our heart and on the possibility of having an open mind. We can learn how to have more fulfilling relationships based on mutual respect. Learning to respect ourselves, and others. And if need be, on moving away from an unhealthy

THE FUTURE OF WAR BY DR. IAN PRATTIS

“I want to talk to you about our children and the kind of future we create for them. Do we teach them peace? Or through neglect do we allow violence to flood their minds, hearts and consciousness so they learn war? Even worse, do they live out our own personal wars expressed through our violent attitudes, speech and actions towards them? Are we creating intergenerational violence and trauma? I ask every adult, particularly men, to deal with their internal wars so that only the best is passed on to our children, not the worst in terms of violence. How do we deal with our internal wars, hatreds and fears? We must stop running; stop hiding behind our addictions and busyness. We come to a stop, look deeply into the eyes of our children and make a commitment to face our internal demons and transform them by stepping onto the path of compassion. Not by transmitting our wars and internal afflictions to the children of the world. We need community to support us in sacred ceremony, love for ecology, meditation and creative spirituality. We raise our consciousness by retraining our minds, through refining our speech, attitudes and actions. We show our children the way to peace by learning to be peace. The present level of hate and violence globally has increased dramatically. Excessive violence has been used to damage our planet and populations. This is not the way to proceed. There is no “them” and “us.” We either learn to live peacefully together or we all suffer and die together. All violence is injustice and we have to teach our children the truth about war. Not about winners and losers, but about the long term suffering on both sides. It is only citizens of the world standing together for peace and saying “No to War; No to Destructive Climate” that will stop it. But the hatred grows and the suffering increases. What can we do as individuals to change this? We go to work on ourselves. First of all we must uproot the violence and war within our minds. To prevent war we nurture non-violence. We practice meditation and prayer for our planet in daily life to transform the poisons within our minds and within our nation.

We enter into true peace negotiations by learning the methods of deep listening, of respectful and non-violent communication; by understanding and bringing our mindless, selfish agendas to a stop. We create peace by knowing that compassion is the antidote to violence and hatred. We must also make peace with Mother Earth. If we injure Mother Earth with deadly poisons, we injure ourselves. Our civilization has caused such deep harm to the earth that we humans may soon become an endangered species. The solution is not political or economic, these are secondary. The primary solution rests on an understanding of robust ecosystems. Every faith and spiritual tradition must renew its ethics and responsibilities and honour the interconnected nature of humanity with Mother Earth. We must make it clear to our political and corporate leaders that the violence they commit in our name is no longer acceptable. We must hold them to account and influence them with our clarity, wisdom and courage. The actions we take now are shaping the possibilities for future generations. Many years ago, (2008), I published Failsafe: Saving the Earth from Ourselves. I wrote about homo sapiens as perhaps a failed genetic experiment. I delivered the content of this book to students at Ottawa’s Carleton University in a television course I created on “Ecology and Culture.” Halfway through the course I looked out at the young, eager students and offered an apology – that my generation had not left a healthy planet for them. Much later in 2019, I participated in the climate strikes on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. I recalled my apology when surrounded by thousands of magnificent children. It was quite emotional for me to hear them shouting out for politicians to get behind the science. I was in admiration of their strike, yet sad that earth matters had not changed for the better. I noticed that I was not the only grandparent who cried a bit.

However, a brilliant pushback to climate denial had been made by Polly Higgins, a fellow Scot. She was a barrister and created a worldwide campaign to criminalize ecocide; the name given to describe the destruction of ecosystems by the carbon cabal and their political lackeys. The legal instrument of ecocide has been promoted by President Macron of France and the European Union. Polly Higgins’ idea has garnered worldwide momentum to hold corporate executives and governments liable for the damage they do to ecosystems and humanity. The legal work demanded specific legal changes to protect the earth for future generations of all species. Unfortunately, Polly Higgins died from cancer on Easter Day, April 21, 2019. Her strong belief was that such a law would change the world. Her work continues with a vast legal team in many countries. Her everlasting quip will never be forgotten: “I have a choice to protect our Earth, or let it be destroyed.” These are the stakes we all face. International jurist and human rights expert, Valerie Cabanes, has this to say, "The current climate and ecological disruptions are fuelling injustice and geopolitical tensions while those ransacking the planet go unpunished. It is therefore urgent to demand new forms of responsibility and solidarity, by recognizing a fifth international crime, the "crime of ecocide." Did anyone notice that degradation of the Earth’s ecology was the catalyst for radical Climate Change? Food crops were destroyed by horrendous heat waves as carbon dioxide and methane poured into the atmosphere. Did no one realize that food riots and world panic trace back to one cause – the economic agenda of corporations? The undercover deal between governments and multi-nationals was invested in political and economic structures that centered on the carbon combustion complex. This collective agenda destabilized world order and endangered the world’s populations. Billionaire backers protected their profits, downplayed scientific conclusions, and deliberately dulled the intelligence of the general public. They paid selected scientists to promote the position that the existing evidence on climate change does not support crisis warnings. This is a bought and sold lie! Everyone knew the lack of truth – the US government, corporations, and industrialists – all knew the truth. To keep the bottom line of profits in their favour, they were willing to accept that civilization would be destroyed in the not-so-distant future. The brilliant indigenous response from Robin Wall Kimmerer’s Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants (2020), is very clear. “What was needed was the wisdom of environmental science, the clarity of philosophical analysis and the creative power of the written

word, to find new ways to understand and reimagine our relation to the natural world (283). We seem to be living in an era of economics of fabricated demand and compulsive overconsumption….we continue to embrace economic systems that prescribe infinite growth on a finite planet…..we need reforms that would ground economics in ecological principles and the constraints of thermodynamics (300). Climate change will unequivocally defeat economics that are based on constant taking without giving in return (363).” Her views were ignored, yet her sharp, pungent views directed some Canadians to shiver in fear. The summer of 2021 in British Columbia was ridden by mass forest fires, followed by winter flooding that destroyed thousands of farm animals. This massive flooding destroyed roads and railways crippled by landslides across the interior of the province. Such disasters can be expected every year as the merciless Climate Change rests on ignorance by homo-sapiens. Yet the kindness of Canadians elsewhere brought support to those evacuated from fire and floods. So here is our challenge. We have to experience peace, a deep peace shared between many traditions, cultures and religions. This experience evaporates into nothing if we do not translate it into action. Begin the work on yourselves today, so that your attitudes, speech and actions become an example to your children, friends and communities. Take the practical steps to make peace with Mother Earth in terms of what you consume and support. Then represent your community, in coalition with other communities, to political and corporate leaders. Show clearly that we are choosing peace and harmony within ourselves, within our communities and with Mother Earth. Together we can do it. We are Ambassadors of Peace after all.”

Belonging and Betrayal by Amâeil, Energy Psychotherapist & Ascension Healing Facilitator Awakening the Truth Within for Sacred, Inner Balance

If you were to look at how humans behave with each other now, it might be startling to recognize that the wounding isn’t really with each other. It’s not about how this group is different from that group. Or one mindset is different from the other. It’s much more about how the ego consciousness in each individual is fighting to maintain its grip on a reality that’s higher in consciousness than what is playing out in the lower dimensions. If each person were to look at their own thoughts about the virus, masking, injection, or vax passports, they would see telltale signs of what it takes to move past the density of the artificial timelines and into the higher consciousness. When we’re triggered into anger or hurt it stirs the pain body, and the shadow presents itself to indicate what needs to be healed – not with the ego mind that created it, but with the heart. In doing so, the individual rises above the false narrative and then brings healing to the collective. Conversely, the collective consciousness can hurt an individual if that person isn’t paying attention to what’s in their subconscious mind that’s pulling them down into the mind control. Here we’re examining just how this happens because it’s not that we need to just change our minds. It’s that we need to heal the mind and heal the heart to bring them into unity within. In the subconscious mind there lives a shadow self that’s turned away from God consciousness, compassion and clarity. It’s obfuscated by lies and stories told for such a long time that it’s challenging for the mind itself to trace it back to when it all began. Indeed there are layers upon layers to be unraveled and revealed, because when we look at the subconscious it’s not just the birth family that created the programming, not just the radio, television, internet and newspapers, not just the culture nor the course of human evolution, not just edicts and rules, or just manipulations, but all of them and more. And mostly, the subconscious mind is holding eons of pain.

This pain is registered in the subconscious and conscious mind of an individual based on how that person perceived the events that created the pain. We’re referring to multiple lifetimes and identities. One person would see that the event was devastatingly traumatic, while another would focus on the physical ailment that it created, and another would see that fear divided the head and the heart. The focus changes depending on where you look in the blueprint, and where you look in the complexity of the timelines and the hologram. Each person brings with them a perspective on the experience they moved through, and this is neither right nor wrong: it is what it is. So in understanding this, how can we say that whether a person believes the injection or vax passport is helpful or detrimental is an absolute? In actuality, it’s not. However, and this is a big ‘however’, when we put together all these views, with a truthful assessment of what took place on Earth, both organically and inorganically, we arrive at a perspective that either supports evolutionary expansion or it does not. The marker isn’t about whether a person’s judgment is off or wrong. The real question is what is that view upholding: fear or love, pain or promise, liberation or limitation, darkness or Light? Ever have those mornings where you crawl out of bed with panThinking about 2021 one could envision it as a very long snow hill with a few twists and turns and huge slippery bumps created by heavy dumpings of snow. But of course there were some beautiful moments of light snowfalls that invited us to be playful and try catching falling snowflakes with our tongues! Nearing the end of the year, thoughts of taxes start to flow in and that in itself can feel like a huge snowstorm that traps us indoors. Being proactive, reaching out to others in our community, knowing “snow storms” are possible, we can avoid that feeling of being trapped. We can’t do everything on our own, so finding a village (a community) that shares our attitudes, interests and goals increases the possibility that we can achieve those things together. That includes business. Time to make your wish list and your gift giving list. What are those exactly?? Start with your wish list -- what do you feel you need help with? What are your weak spots? What are you struggling with? Don’t hold back, ask Santa for whatever you wish!! Next create your gift giving list. This is the list of things you are good at, your strengths. What do you know that you could help others with? Have you created a great organized system? Do you have a spreadsheet that is easy to understand? What have you learned/achieved or are naturally good at? Invite your community -- network group -- association -- LinkedIn / Facebook Group - to make their lists and share with each other. Open up the possibilities of how you can help each other.

THE NIA TECHNIQUE HEALING COMMUNITY by Penny Lee Prevost and Natasha Villeneuve.

Another "voice" arose from deep within. This one came from a place of inner knowing and carried a sense that she was ready for, even desperate for a new experience. One of form and FREEDOM, body connection and intimacy, a sensory, healing experience. One that would serve her now body. This voice invited me to let go of old stories and TRUST that I was capable...that something within me would enrich the experience. Without fully understanding, I chose to TRUST. My intention was to teach "JOY" that night. Yet as we spoke, I sensed that she, that (we) were more in the space and energy of "FLOW". So, I did a spontaneous pivot and shifted playlists to dance "FLOW". I could see that the music moved and touched her. I could sense the intimacy she felt and felt it within myself as well. She loved it so much, she returned with a friend the following week. My heart was happy she enjoyed the class. Had she not, I would have been perfectly fine, because I enjoyed it. I stayed true to myself. I was relaxed (even in the few brief moments of self-doubt), I stayed with my body, sensed, healed, and experienced pleasure while maintaining connection to her without attachment to outcome. NIA is transformative! I am so grateful to be on this ride! My heart is full! I feel blessed! Thank you, NIA and to all who have touched my heart on this journey in this NIA community! Much gratitude to Penny Lee for offering me my first teaching opportunity.

Meet Natasha Villeneuve, the newest Green Belt instructor in the Ottawa community. We met at her White Belt Training session here in Ottawa. We hit it off right away and began collaborating on a number of projects. I offered her a replacement teaching option for my classes so she could get comfortable. Today Natasha teaches in Richmond and online at noon through her work. Here she shares a recent intimate teaching experience.

Life is rich and filled with valuable lessons! My first NIA class experience was in 2017 and the journey has been filled with learning, connections, healing, joy, and growth since! I had a beautiful experience recently teaching NIA to a new student with a strong dance background, a former ballet teacher, currently healing a shoulder injury. I was expecting four people for my in-person class. It was an odd evening as life circumstances prevented my regular three from attending, so it ended up being a private class for one. Fate it was. When the new student arrived, we got chatting. She had questions about my NIA practice. When she shared her dance background, I witnessed the voices of fear and self-doubt spring to life in my head: "She has so much dance experience. With a background in ballet, will she like and accept NIA, be critical of the art, of my delivery? Will she notice the mild challenge with my left side? If she does, what will she think?" And the big one: "Am I qualified to teach HER?" I took a deep breath, acknowledged the thoughts, the voices. I gently reminded myself that I could not control her experience, her thoughts, her perceptions and that I was there to deliver the NIA promise, A NIA EXPERIENCE TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY. I remembered my job was to let go, to be me and that she was there to experience NIA, the art that I have studied, practiced, embodied, know, and continue to learn.
