My hope, as a hypnotherapist and counsellor, is that you transcend any states of aloneness and come into this warm and cozy home space. In this home space there is a sacred calmness and peace-full-ness. Here you are completely accepted. You are completely your Self. Now your emotions can all connect. You can now re-place the confusion with fusion. Here you are Whole. Here you are One. You can sense that your body and your mind and your spirit are organically connected.

Here you can truth-fully say, “Je suis bien dans ma peau.”, “I am happy in my own Self.”, or “C’est moi.”, “This is my Self.” You are free of old shackles and old “unfinished business.” Here you are a free spirit. Free to fly. Here you can play, re-charge and have a lot of fun. Enjoy be-ing each feeling in each moment. Here you can be for-giv-ing away all your limiting characteristics.

Here, at home, you can re-treat your Self to your Self.

You can re-experience making contact with your “l’enfant d’or”,”golden, child-like Self”. Here it is very clear what you want and also very clear what you do not want. Here there is a very strong sense of déjà vu. This is a place where when you gaze around you in any corner, sector or view of this home, and from any direction, you see your Self everywhere. Here, if you feel alienated or dis-connected from any one entity, thing or person you are free to negotiate with this alienation and in-corporate it into your whole being.

In this home you are into nearly pure be-ing. The “control cloaks” are left at the front door. Here there is the present tense only. Here, at home, you have lots of time be-cause you are outside of time. Here you can be-come very still and hold this stillness and in this still state you can readily re-craft new pathways for connecting dis-membered parts of your Self. Here you can re-member how to “put Humpty Dumpty back to-gether again”.

This home of yours is a wonder-full place to transcend into a very, very deep and in-spiring re-treat. Here are

some of the practical aspects of a deep re-treating of yourself to your Self:no clocks, no doorbells, no telephones, no radio, no t.v., no newspapers, no computers, no noisy appliances, etc. Also no business, no work, no mail, no e-mail, no bills, no messages, etc. Very little contact with other people. Very little talking. Very little thinking.

Well-come Home! En-joy your “wholly-day” re-treat.

Re-member the “wholly-day” never ends. You just forget to re-member to stay whole and conscious. I hope you remember to re-member…

identify completely with our current body and mind. This soul of ours is eternal, and has grown through numerous journeys, evolving, opening to a greater truth, one life after the other.

Sages of the past indicated that we have chosen our lives, and that we have decided to come on earth to learn lessons.

This learning is precious, and our incarnation is to be respected and valued. In Deep Presence, we can take a step back from our current paradigm and see it objectively. We can also sense the impact of our past, as well as our journey ahead, our future.

If we practice Deep Presence, we are able to see, to truly see.

We can take the time to pause and look at the ones around us with presence and compassion. This enables us to realize that everyone has their own unique path, their own struggles, hopes and joys. As we expand, we aim at taking in all perspectives, seeing that each one of us has a story, a path, a way to see the world.

We can also realize that we all carry the charge of the past, from transgenerational influences, based on the evolutionary path of our ancestors, to everyone we met this life and in past lives.

The concept of being present has been popular for decades.

We likely all have experienced moments of presence, a calm sense of observing, of feeling content. Perhaps when travelling to the country, or simply watching nature, or a sunset. We long for this state of presence, as it connects us with a peaceful part of us, a part that we long for and that we often drift away from.

If we pay attention, we can notice that right behind our mind resides a part of us that is deeper than emotions, deeper than our identity, and our plans and projects. It is deeper than our current life story. This deeper part of us is often called our soul.

Practicing the art of being present, we can reach a level of Deep Presence where we experience our soul. This ancient part of us is on a journey, learning through our current body and mind, through relationships and life circumstances. Most of us have forgotten this part of us, or at least partly, and as a result we

Practicing Deep Presence stills the mind and from this still point we reach a higher or more complete vision of the world around. To reach this state of stillness, the mind needs to practice, gently, gradually, the art of being present. Alongside this stillness are the possibilities for an open heart and mind, for a sense of gratitude for life, for our lessons, for our paths. It comes with it.

Challenges come when things don’t go our way, when things are trying. But perhaps these very challenges are doors leading to evolution. Practicing Deep Presence will free us from the charge of the past, and open possibilities for the future. If we think about it, holding on to the past, to conditionings given to us by our environment, culture, family traditions, and relationships, is limiting us to the past. The present then becomes identical to the past. Releasing the past, accepting that we are worthy of love, that we are love, and allowing ourselves to access a higher perspective, the one of gratitude, will change our life. It will help us welcome a new future. It will also automatically change the world, inspiring others, even if ever so slightly. We are never separate. We can help ourselves more then we know. If you need a hand on your journey, it will be my pleasure to be there for you.

Each one of us is unique, and despite what we may claim, each path is perfect. I was reflecting on disappointments I had, decisions I made that appeared mislead, and feelings of being inapt, unworthy, or even abandoned. I can see retrospectively that my mind’s desires weren’t met, even if my intentions were good, even under the best of intentions. This was challenging. Yet, with time, those complex and difficult situations provided me with insights, development, growth. Those situations helped me evolve. Looking back, I can understand this now.

A WRITER’S DREAM

Author Dr. Ian Prattis Releases New Short Story Collection - Past, Present, Future: Stories That Haunt

It happens that moment when unexpectedly your writing receives glowing confirmation. Luckily I have had a taste of that. At a writer’s retreat, the facilitator who had read my book Redemption spoke of it that it was not so much a read but as if she were listening to music. The cadence of the writing struck her forcibly. I often describe Redemption as an extended prose poem but like her musical note more. Then a phone call that Trailing Sky Six Feathers received the Quill Award from Focus on Women Magazine, an advocacy group for women’s issues worldwide. I was delighted that the first award for this book came from a women’s group. Other awards include Gold for Redemption at the 2015 Florida Book Festival, Silver for Environment from the 2014 Living Now Literary Awards for Failsafe; Saving the Earth From Ourselves. There was the 2019 Gold from the eLit Excellence Awards.

I received the 2011 Ottawa Earth Day Environment Award and in 2018 the Yellow Lotus award from the Vesak Project for spiritual guidance and teaching dharma. Also my book “Shattered Earth” received the 2020 Gold Medal from the eLit Excellence Awards.

It’s a facet of humanity that slowly disappears, trampled by the modern mind, too busy with the tangible reality of the surrounding world. In his true fashion, he offers hope by educating the reader on how Indigenous wisdom that has been passed down for generations can provide a pathway that the human race can choose to embrace for a better future. This is an excellent read, very appropriate for our current times.

A wonderful cap to all this musing was recent when I went to send some books through the Post Office. The young woman at the counter had posted many of the packages of books I had sent to competitions and I always gave a copy to her to read. She gave me a big hug and told me that the book Trailing Sky Six Feathers - had changed her life. This is really why I write.

I told her that the final bookend of the trilogy takes characters from the two books she has read and places them on a new planet in the immediate future.

Are You a Good Host to Parasites?

Defining a parasite: If someone was sponging off of you, that is living in your house, using your resources to survive, never making a move to become independent, and intending to harm you, would this be concerning to you? Draining? Unfortunately, parasitic relationships like this are too common. To change this far-reaching pattern we have to consciously reclaim our spiritual house, sovereignty and God-power, and stop being a good host.

The parasitic planetary model: The pattern of consuming what belongs to others without consideration for group consciousness has been playing out on Earth. Corruption, greed, deception, and predatory behaviour are all rooted in consumptive modelling, and the negative alien agenda (NAA) to dominate and completely control the human mind, body and soul. We can witness this globally now.

These are the default addiction patterns that humanity has selfperpetuated to become disempowered and enslaved. It was designed that way and humans are the unsuspecting hosts.

Parasitic relationships: This agenda and their programs filter into the thoughts, emotions and behaviours in human relating.

Parasitic relationships are not symbiotic relationships of mutual benefit but relationships of imbalance. For example “energy vampires” takes and take, knowing only how to meet their own needs at the expense of another. A parasitic individual can also attack with aggression or interrogation and act as though they’re powerful. Yet, in truth, they don’t believe they have power so they tear another person down to steal that person’s power, and so they can then feel more powerful. They hold no intention of operating from equality or fairness, and nor do they seek resolution or win-win outcomes.

It takes to “two to tango” in relationships. In the same way that a victimizer will find resonance with someone of victim consciousness, or a predator finds prey, a parasite will seek out a good host.

The parasite opportunistically looks to control someone who is weak-minded, weak in moral character, or boundaries. Examples are the timid child bullied at school, or the employee repeatedly subjected to a boss’ ire. This “host” isn’t able to stand in their power, and say “no” to intimidation. They don’t truly believe that they’re powerful either. When they present as “poor me”, they’re trying to gain energy too. Sometimes they act aloof and get power when others chase after them. They will continue to sadly ask for help, but never allow it, or remain distant, so they can keep living in their powerlessness and drama.

Self-responsibility and self-sovereignty: Learning how to stand in our genuine power and discern energies goes a long way to fortifying ourselves from negative forces - human and non-human.

When we strengthen our spiritual immunity, and participate in our consciousness expansion, we no longer see ourselves as a victim and make ourselves a good host, and nor do we need to be the parasite that looks for external sustenance. Instead, we know that our perpetual life source is our infinite God-Self. This is what it means to be inner-sustained, and this is the anti-dote to the parasitic NAA agenda.

Spiritual Beings Having a Human Experience

T

he belief that we are whole and complete is a foundational tenet held by Unity truth seekers. As a Unity Minister, I am often asked: what is meant by the idea of wholeness and how does it relate to my everyday life, especially when challenges occur? More specifically, how do we reconcile the idea of wholeness with the awful situations that occur, such as the recent discovery of the mass grave of Indigenous children at the Kamloops residential school?

At the core of a possible explanation is the remembering that we are both spiritual and human. As spiritual beings we contain all that is of Source, God, Spirit, or whatever name you might use for the One Power and One Presence. In other words, our divine identity is whole and complete. At our core we are the essence of love, harmony, abundance, health and peace. I so appreciate this reminder when I behold a newborn baby. An infant has not yet experienced the forgetting of their divine essence and donned the slow but steady conditioning of the human personality to feel unworthy, to hate oneself, to abuse power, to want to feel safe at all costs, to become numb to emotions, to name just a few egoic traits.

Within this context as spiritual beings having a human experience, Unity’s vision is “a world powerfully transformed through the growing movement of shared spiritual awakening.” We are being called to awaken to it all, not just that which makes us feel

good or comfortable. It can feel tempting to spiritually bypass that which is unsettling, shocking, painful, or gives a feeling of massive cognitive dissonance with what we’ve thought to be true.

Awakening to it all actually means living from the knowing of love, an aspect of wholeness. All healing involves first becoming aware of that which is out of alignment, and then taking action from our power of love, which is our harmonizing power.

A Facebook friend posted shortly after the news of 215 Kamloops broke: “Is your love big enough to hold space for another's pain? To not look away or get defensive even though the ugliness seems unbearable? Because the weight of these ugly truths has been carried alone by Canada's <Indigenous People> for too long.” This moment invites us to remember our divine identity, even in the midst of a troubling human experience.

he stats are clear…95% or more of women who participate in a restrictive eating plan end up gaining back all their weight and more within a 2-year period.

You would think that with such compelling statistics that the diet industry would be in a financial free-fall…and yet it continues to generate billions of dollars each and every year.

Why would something that is scientifically proven NOT to work still continue to attract millions of women?

Why would they continue in this futile search for the “magic bullet” that will miraculously transform their middle-aged body back to a point where they can fit into the jeans they wore in high school?

Why would they subject themselves to expensive protein shakes, calorie counting, restrictive eating and plans that suck any food related joy out of their lives?

Why would they subject themselves to plans that – the minute they deviate from them – they are consumed with guilt or shame over their lack of control or discipline.

The answer is simple…

Our society values a specific form of ‘beauty’ that it has set as an unrealistic standard for women.

The closer you are to this ideal…the more value you have.

Society tells us the further away you are from this ideal…the less worthy you are to be loved, accepted, treated with respect by medical professionals…and the more your family, friends (and even strangers!) feel like they have a right to insert themselves into your food choices and lifestyle habits.

The number of my clients who have told me horror stories about their families, doctors or even strangers commenting on their choices of food or made them feel shame for simply enjoying a dessert would make your head spin.

And…the only option they are given to correct this situation…to ‘increase their value or worthiness’…to become ‘more acceptable’ to society… is… to go on a diet… something that they *know* doesn’t work for them or 95% of all other women…

This is a flawed, damaging approach that keeps women locked into yo-yo dieting, binge eating and other disordered eating habits…not to mention what feelings of shame, guilt and unworthiness due to a food/weight related issue have done to the psyche of millions.

So what is the answer? What is the alternative to restrictive dieting approaches? How can we combat diet culture and free women from their unhealthy relationship to food?

The answer is something called Context Eating.

Context Eating is a non-diet approach that changes how women interact with food and gives them contextual boundaries to eating…putting food back into its proper place in their lives.

Context Eating does not restrict what participants are eating but instead offers proper contexts for food which allows negative food related habits to be broken without feelings of deprivation.

There is no calorie or point counting and no food is off limits.

Participants of Context Eating create their own menu plan…with their own favourite foods and things that work with their own situation… (example – foods their family will eat or food they can eat while they travel for business) This approach helps women to redefine their relationship to food while addressing problems such as binge eating or all or nothing approaches that lead to yo-yo dieting and worsening health metrics.

Unlike diets, Context Eating addresses the physiological, emotional, situational, and habitual triggers that cause women to overeat. It acknowledges that the majority of cravings are a result of the body “needing” something and once those needs are addressed through increasing what they call foundational foods and addressing the emotional triggers…most of the cravings are significantly reduced leading to increased health and natural weight management.

Bottom line is we need to change how the world does weight loss and Context Eating offers women a different approach that works.

THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF TURTLE ISLAND Written by: Jenny Sawanohk, MSW, RSW

T

he Indigenous people of Turtle Island have a prayer “All My Relations”, which is an invocation for Oneness and harmony with all forms of life. Like the Dreamcatcher Teachings, it recognizes that we are all interconnected in the Sacred Hoop and Eternal Web of Life, and that we all have energetic cords connecting us to one another, and everything. And yes, everything has Spirit, even the Mineral and Plant Relations who we believe are sacred allies in our healing.

In consideration of these energetic cords, it is important to understand that we greatly influence one another in thought and feeling. Therefore, we must be accountable for these interactions with each other and the energy that we project out into the world.

And that it is as equally important to ensure we are properly caring for ourselves and what gets projected at us. As an Indigenous healer, I have come to understand the energetic implications of these on our bodies, minds, and spirits. I realize now just how important the Earth and planetary systems are for our healing and wellbeing.

This Universe exists as a harmonious interaction of all elements and forces to create balance. A Higher Power pushes humans into doing the work needed to heal ourselves. Ever notice how patterns keep appearing? If we do not heal an issue, a similar scenario will keep repeating itself so that we can do so. But we humans have gotten good at using every maladaptive coping mechanism possible to avoid the work. And the thing is, we are Spirits here to evolve through the human experience, and we are at a time in humanity where we can no longer afford to avoid the wounds that need healing. The cost of our collective wellbeing is too great.

Indigenous ceremonies, such as a Sweat Lodge or a Sundance, push us into our pain and past our physical, mental, and emotional boundaries, so that we can truly connect with Spirit. We do all these sacred ceremonies on the land with help from our plant and stone allies, with a strong connection to Creator and the Universe. Our sacred sites are places that honour our relationship with the planetary systems and provide energetic portals that allow for powerful healing ceremonies. Our Medicine Wheels sites are circular stone formations with spokes that align with Solstices and the way the Sun moves across Father Sky. We refer to the Sun as our Grandfather, as he gives energy and life to Mother Earth and us humans, the Earth Walkers. Our planet is referred to as Mother Earth, as she provides us with food, medicine, and shelter. We also honour Grandmother Moon and her powerful energy, magnetism, and relationship with our sacred Water Spirits; and the Star Nations, our Ancestors, and those who provide us with guidance. Thus, these sacred sites are astronomical, calendrical, and religious, and help us to understand the cyclical and significant nature of existence.

Our Spirituality also honours the four cardinal directions that divide the Medicine Wheel into four equal quadrants. Everything has a place within one of those quadrants: east, south, west, north; the races of man: yellow, red, black, and white; the seasons: spring, summer, fall and winter; the elements: fire, earth, water, and air; our stages of development: children, youth, adults, and elders; the animal world: crawlers, walkers, swimmers, and fliers…the list is infinite. Tribal and personal differences may recognize these on different parts of the Wheel; however, the point is that everything has an equal place within this Sacred Circle.

Here we can recognize that our wellbeing has spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental aspects, and all require the same amount of attention, care, and loving commitment so that we can live as balanced, healthy, and harmonious people. So, our journey is to become grounded within the center of the wheel. And to become truly grounded, we need to return to embracing a sacred relationship with Nature again. We must understand Earth energy and the concept of “earthing”. A process that allows us to become deeply rooted and connected to the Earth’s life force. The Earth’s surface is an abundant source of electrons (mostly due to lightning) in which we as bioelectrical beings need a daily dose. However, most people spend too much time in their homes and workspaces and not enough time on the land. And when they do get out on the land, they wear shoes with rubber/synthetic soles that block the energy transfer that we need.

Our traditional mukluks and moccasins, which are made from hide and are thus an organic material, allow for this energy transfer. I was taught the soft sole of our footwear allows one to feel the Earth and to be sympathetic to her touch. It reminds us to feel and connect with the plant and mineral relations. To be cautious and conscious of what we touch and how we interact with the Natural World. It reminds us that we are a part of Nature. One with Nature.

But now I understand that our traditional footwear also allows the Earth to pull out the negative energy from our bodies (mind and spirit) and enables us to receive her rejuvenating and revitalizing positive energy. Studies show that earthing lessens chronic inflammation and symptoms of anxiety and depression, increases circulation, improves sleep, and normalizes blood pressure. It provides a way to de-stress, detox and allow one’s body to return to homeostasis. So, I get excited when I hear the Thunderbirds and know lightning is on the way, and that my charging station is about to get a boost. Consider her one big ol battery.

But with Spirit. We as Indigenous people understand her as a living, breathing entity. She is Sacred Feminine Energy; an ancient energy and voice that sings the song of creation. This is a spiritual energy that we can connect to that offer us the power to give birth to whatever it is that we would like to create. On the land and in the sacred fire pit, is where I connect to it best. In a circle with other women, where we put our feet on the soil and pick up our drums and begin to beat them in sync with our Mother’s heartbeat. We drum, sing, pray and heal until we are all harmonizing heart beats. We become in sync as the One that we are meant to be. The One Song. Here in a circle, we all have equal seating, and we find our commonality, and yet respect our unique differences. We find acceptance, humility, and grace. We sing and pray for ourselves, our families, our communities, and the world.

It has been a particularly challenging time as we navigate this pandemic. Yet at the same time, Humans have been put in a needed time out. Nature has been given the opportunity to begin repairing herself, and Humans have been forced to pause and reflect on their own healing. Isolation has put many in states of loneliness and mental health issues have hit an all time high. People are learning that the only way to escape what suddenly feels like imprisonment in own their homes is to spend time in Nature, and suddenly the world is awakening to what Indigenous people refer to as Medicine Walks. People are realizing that importance of connection, and that healthy connection first begins with the planet.

We are all beginning to discover that we need to become rooted on the land and in turn within ourselves to truly heal. To find the strength to hold space for the beliefs, thoughts and emotions surrounding the wounds that need to be healed, and to embrace the vulnerability needed to do this important work. We have spiritual allies all around us, in animal and plant forms. Nature is full of teachers and helpers. And when we arrive at the center of the wheel, where our inner spirit resides in our heart space, we can truly reconnect to our inner knowing, and remember why we are here. And we can develop the faith needed to trust the paths that we are meant to walk, no matter how difficult at times they may be.

WALKING OUT OF LOCKDOWN

Results: Marnie has updated her resume. She reports fewer butterflies in her stomach and more patience with teens. (She has healthier kidneys too, but that is preventive stuff- removing emotions from organs results in less-stressed organs. eg. grief from lungs, anger from liver, loss and sadness from hearts, nurturing issues from breasts.)

I do only what the client’s energy directs me to do. I communicate with their energy with muscle-testing and clairvoyance.

Flora, age 71, vaccine fears, anxiety, dizziness, breast cancer survivor.

Her father, who crossed over several years ago, attended the session.

He had a message of support and love for her. Her reply, through tears: “Thank you Papa. It means so much to me!”

1. anti-anxiety procedure (general calming)

Walking out unscathed, that is, as opposed to crawling out in fear.

Energy healing examples: Marnie, aged 39, survived lockdown with 2 adolescent boys and her husband working from home.

1. calming procedure, removed generalized anxiety.

2. Look and Fix procedure. I am clairvoyant. I saw things in Marnie’s energy asked her energy whether they should be removed. Generally, the image represents an experience or emotion. I removed red (anger) and water over her entire body (overwhelming sadness). I removed chains from around her feet and wrists, a collar from her neck (lack of control and freedom) and some pots and pans. (She says the kitchen work was “unending”.) There was a dog in her aura and her energy wanted him to stay. I described him- small, black, barky. She said it was Bailey who had died several years earlier. (Sometimes I see things that the energy does not want removed: flowers of all kinds, musical instruments, babies, totems... The baby and dog are not really there- it’s love, a memory only.)

3. Holographic healing. Marnie’s energy directed me to her root chakra.

I pulled out a holograph of a dining room table, many people around the table, very crowded and chaotic. Not enough chairs for everyone. My job when seeing a holograph is to fix it. In turn, the chakra becomes less burdened, the body healthier. In this case, Marnie’s energy directed me to add chairs, make the room & table bigger, give everyone some space.

Then I blew the darkness / black away with my breath and replaced it with red, the proper colour for that chakra.

4. Holographic healing on kidneys. I saw a red wagon with only 3 wheels. The client was “fearful about moving forward”. Kidneys hold fears. I put a fourth wheel on the wagon, greased wheels.

5. Past life healing. Marnie’s energy took me to a vision of her life 5 lifetimes ago. She was male, Asian, and stuck behind a locked door. It was a jail of some sort. I unlocked the door & let him out, but, as well, I cleared the emotions from that lifetime. It was resonating with covid restrictions, making it more difficult for Marnie to cope.

6. Sugar Correction. This a Biocomputer Operating System procedure to assist the body with sugar detox. (Ya, I think a lot of us fell into poor eating habits during lockdown.)

7. Calming procedure again, this time specific to “job search”.

INDEPENDENCE

A

s we celebrate our nation’s 154 year since inception, taking time to appreciate our independence and those who have given their lives to enhance ours – an enormous expression of gratitude and appreciation.

In our country freedom comes with benefits habitants of other countries are not privy too. There continues to be oppression, denial of rights, expression with exercise of power over other humans and judgment with entitlement based on race, identity, citizenship, and religion, to just name a few. The feeling of independence is like no other, as it is reflected in our dreams, achievements, and actions we take.

Our mind is aware of what occurs around us, as its main task at hand is to keep us within the boundaries of safety, health, fear, and denial, mostly so we do not venture too far from its comfort space. The mind may belong to a body that lives in an independent environment, but its actions and reactions to that environment may suggest it resides in constricted one. Mostly because it fuels actions from fear and not from living.

It has been said that life is worth experiencing not living, implying that living through the lens of the mind is full of limits. It suggests that the soul is living in a space that it is not independent if the mind is the ruler. If the mind judges the body for its size, by stating one is fat, or defines its limitations, by using that voice in our head, that dream cannot be achieved, then the soul is not an independence source.

Imagine for an instance if there were two sources of information available to you: that that the mind provides and that that the soul provides. Almost like a Ying and Yang. Would you give equal time to both for everything in your life or would you take the time to know when the mind is an expert on an issue and when the soul is providing its optimal guidance? Instead, what many do is silence the voice of the soul, dismissing its value proceed with the words from the mind, even if they are ill hearted. But this is denying the independence of the soul, which only leads to suppression of your true emotions and dreams. The price we pay is we live life and not experience life.

Yet all is not lost. Afterall, we have seen the expressions of joy when countries are freed from oppression. There is celebration in the streets for days. People rejoice at the possibility of hope. Most of all, there is slow and steady change toward better times ahead. The same can be for you. It is never too late to ask yourself if your voice of your soul is independent and given equal respect as the mind. It can start with just a meditation and the question of, “what is it that I need to know right now.” The key is to listen. No matter how absurd the answer maybe, give it a chance and let your soul explain itself. You will see it always has something to say, it just as to be asked.

The asking can be the hardest step.

Finding the right “fit” to work with is important. The wrong “fit” will set you up for failure because in the end you will feel like you can’t be honest when you need it most.

Whether you are a startup, run a large corporation or have a side hustle, tracking your numbers - income and expenses - is something you WANT to make a PRIORITY. It’s not about the taxes! It’s about being confident.

Your books are the story of your business. Writing a true biography of your business enables you to make confident decisions in your business and your life! You can’t be confident if you are writing a fiction book -- tracking some but not all of your numbers.

Knowing what money is coming in and what is going out enables you to confidently decide what you are going to do, or not do. Whether you plan or not, if unexpected opportunities arise wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to say “YES” confidently, rather than wonder if you can afford to say “yes”. Knowing how much money is available to confidently spend, also reduces stress and worry.

Stress of needing to get money into the bank for the shortage you created using too much crest. Worry of whether you will have enough business to make the money to cover your current financial responsibilities--including the new debt you incurred.

It doesn’t matter who you are, if you are an entrepreneur you can’t get away from financial responsibility.

With the simple step-by-step, you will learn to follow your body’s way and explore your body sensations through dance, martial arts and mindfulness. This practice has changed many lives and continues to surprise many of the improved independence available to them.

As a Nia White Belt instructor I will take you on a journey of self-discovery beginning with the Joy of Movement. You will learn different principles for body-mindfulness. Each principle teaches you a variety of skills for connecting to physical sensations in your body. Sensation guides you to create health and vitality by moving your body in ways that feel good.

This practice offers many benefits. The emphasis is placed on the pleasure of movement and personal capacities. It cultivates strength, stability, mobility and flexibility. Let’s not forget the cardiovascular and the muscular work. You also have the effect of relaxation and well-being.

ften people are surprised to learn that they are losing their independence when their mobility becomes limited. It is important to take time to evaluate our body’s abilities.

In 2015, I was frustrated with my reduced mobility from inflammation that took over my body and caused much discomfort. I began to rely on others to help me with going up and down stairs. I would require assistance from a table to get up out of my chair or get down onto the floor. I would also avoid doing things that I knew would cause my body pain, although I also knew that if I could get my body to cooperate with my brain and move that the pain would ease up. It was an ongoing battle between my mind and body which was exhausting and emotionally draining. I wanted to find a way to increase my vitality, I kept visualizing my body moving freely without any discomfort and finally on July 14, 2015 I was introduced to The Nia Technique. This is the day I discovered hope for a brighter future and possible independence again.

NIA is not only toning your body it is also transforming your mind. Nia’s approach is a holistic fitness practice addressing each aspect of your life, body, mind and spirit. It’s a wonderful communion between the Western and Eastern wisdom.
