Founded in 1995, the Beaverland Must-skis provide free, family-oriented entertainment most Sunday nights throughout the summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. They consistently place in the top 10 teams in the nation. The Must-Skis are a dedicated group of around 45 skiers who love to ski and entertain audiences. Surrounded on the north shoreline by farmland, you can relax in this beautiful, rural getaway and watch pelicans and other waterfowl in their natural habitat. At more than 6,500 acres and 41 miles of shoreline, Beaver Dam Lake has plenty of outdoor adventure opportunities, from fishing, duck hunting, boating and paddling to snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. You’ll also find northern pike and channel catfish ranging from ten to fifteen pounds. If you’d rather stay on shore, there is lots of shoreline available within the City of Beaver Dam.

Leashed dogs can be walked through any city park, but need to keep moving and avoid shelters, playgrounds and athletic fields. Unleashed dog parks are located at Edgewater and Patrick Parker Conley Parks. When at the parks and around town, turn on your geocache app to locate hidden geocaches around town. Beaver Dam Community Activities and Services provides community events and recreation programs for all ages and operates The Watermark, a multipurpose community and senior center, along with facility reservations and watercraft rentals.

Derge Park is a thirteen-acre park just five minutes northwest of Beaver Dam and located on the shore of Beaver Dam Lake at N8379 County Road CP. The park offers overnight camping with electricity, twenty-five campsites with 30-amp hookups and asphalt pads, picnic shelters, shower/restroom building and dump station, boat launch and canoe/kayak launch.

The Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center is conveniently located on Highway 28 between Horicon and Mayville as your first stop to grab maps, hop on the trails and visit the Explorium. The Explorium is a state-of-the-art, hands-on interactive exhibit. Immerse yourself in the history of the Horicon Marsh. Everything from mammoth smells to airboat rides await you in the Explorium. With over 300 species to its name, Horicon Marsh is a bird-watching paradise. Watch for colorful songbirds, like scarlet tanagers and blackburnian warblers, during spring migration. Keep an eye out for young during the summer from our nesting Canada geese, great blue herons and American white pelicans. You’ll be awestruck in autumn as thousands of geese, waterfowl and cranes migrate south.
