Editor’s Message
O
ne last greeting.
I would like to sincerely thank you for reading my newsletters throughout this past term. In a few days, the Key Club term is over and Sheldon Key Club will start a new chapter. However, this does not mean Key Club meetings and service events are over. Please continue to be active in Key Club. If you are interested in any positions for the upcoming term, go for it! Don’t be shy and unconfident, but work hard towards it. If you don’t get the position, don’t be sad! There are many opportunities and I believe in you. Keep an eye out for BANQUET! Thank you once again. To a final happy reading,
Tracy Ly

Goodbye Messages President Justina Voong What's Up Monsters? Can you believe its already April? Retirement is so soon! With that, I'd like to say that it’s been an immense honor to serve you all as President for the past term. I've seen the club grow to greater heights as well as seen each one of you grow in your own way. Whether it be with leadership, finding your passion to serve, or continuing service, I know for a fact all of you have the potential to further yourselves. My last 4 years within this great organization has taught me a lot, words can't even explain it and I hope you have the same thoughts as you one day close your Key Club journey. It’s been an absolute pleasure to bond and get to know every one of you to some extent.

We've done a lot as a club, serving over 2500 hours, raising money for charities, and bettering our homes, school, and community. I hope your passion and drive to serve others and yourself not only continues, but grows as years pass. I won't get too sentimental because that's what banquet is for, but always remember YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I would once again like to thank you all, members and officers, for allowing me to serve you all as President. Although it is sad to say, everything comes to an end. For the last time within a newsletter as President of Sheldon High School Key Club, thank you for all that you do and I can't wait to see how much more the club can achieve in years to come.
Vice president venh vong Hello all! As the term comes to an end, I would like to say thank you for being such amazing members! You guys have gone above and BEEyond to reach service hour goals and I honestly can’t thank you guys enough. Although the term is ending soon, that does not mean Key Club is ending. Please remember that Key Club runs all year round, which means we will be having plenty more service events during the last few months of the school year and over the summer as well so please stay as active as possible! As always, thank you guys for all that you do and I am super duper excited to serve you all in the upcoming term as President.

Goodbye Messages Secretary cindy luu Hey Hey Monsters! With March coming to an end, it also means the 2016-2017 term is also ending! Over the course of the year, I've learned so many things from all of YOU monsters. I can't express my feelings enough to emphasize how much all of you have impacted my life. Although being secretary was a challenge at moments, running for this position was the best decision I've ever made. I have learned to persevere through the hard times and never to give up just yet. Knowing that there was someone out there depending on my work encouraged me to continue working my best, and I thank you all for that. The thought of soon becoming
Treasurer jenny chen What's cookin' good lookin'? It's that time of the year where we begin to reflect on accomplishments, growth, and hardships of the past term. To start off, I am so SO proud that Sheldon Key Club has raised over $2,700 for charity and completed over 70 service projects- which accumulates to almost 3,200 hours of service! Even though retirement is near and new officers will soon be leading the club, I genuinely hope each and every one of you will continue to strive to be the most active members you

Goodbye Messages Bulletin editor tracy ly I honestly cannot believe how fast this year went. I am honestly thankful for each and everyone of you. Without you, I would not have been able to grow a bigger love for Key Club. Seeing you volunteer early in the mornings or whenever you could in your busy schedule with bright smiles and optimistic personalities made me happy. I am thankful you were able to grow such love for service! I hope you continue to be active in Key Club and serve the community. Even if you are busy, stop by every now and then and say hi. Key Club will always, ALWAYS welcome you with open arms. Thank you for keeping up with 11 issues of the newsletters so far. Thank you for volunteering. Thank you for making us smile. Thank you for joining Key Club. Thank you, really. I am positive that the next newsletters will look great! Make sure to support Marcia and read her newsletters! ((:

Member recognition chair Theresa nguyen To be honest, I don't know what to say. My last four years in high school are all a blur. I literally don't remember what I ate for breakfast this morning. I will miss all of this, but most definitely, I will miss my board and committee. 3AM chats... 4AM emails... 5AM homework.... Nothing can ever compare to my experiences with these little monsters. If you want to hear the rest‌ come to banquet!

Goodbye Messages Service project coordinator Stephanie ilaga
Aloha Monsters! How do you feel? Cause I’m feeling sad that the term is almost over. ; ( can’t believe the term has finally came to an end. I just want to say thank you everyone, to all the members and even the officers for making this term a crazy adventure. I wouldn’t have spent my sophomore year any different. You, the members always know how to make my heart smile and never fail at it. From the first meeting to our last. All your hard work and dedication means so much to me and the officers. And I can’t express how grateful and blessed I am to have you all a part of my life. I hope you all continue to serve your community. And for the last time. YAGA over and out. I love you all.

Tech editor dale matias The end of the year always gives me mixed feelings. I have definitely enjoyed serving as your tech editor and with this term, I can definitely say for sure that I've learned many things and formed strong relationships. I remember at the beginning of this year how I had no idea what to expect for my position and how I would do or how people would react to my work. However, with the love and support of my favorite board officers and the greatest key club members that I know, I was able to get to places that I never thought was possible to reach for someone like me. As the term comes to an end, I want to sincerely thank the other officers and the members themselves. There is no other club that I am proud to be a part of and able to say that it is my home, my Ohana. Personally, as a photographer, Key Club is the image I will always love to capture.

Crab feed - zyruss edjan
Throughout my Key Club career I've been to about 3, and all I can say is that they are one of the best events to go to. There are two reasons to this. First is the food. In all of them that I've been too, they've provided food for the volunteers. It's not your run off the mill food. They are authentic food that have just been freshly prepared. Just for that reason, I already love crab feeds, but then you add the atmosphere while volunteering and it becomes the best kind of event. From the fellow volunteers to the cooks and the people we serve, I always feel a welcoming atmosphere that I love. Even if I volunteer for 3-4 hours serving crabs and other food, I never get tired because of the feeling of belonging and self-gratitude. There is nothing better that handing the food to the table and hearing them say “Thank you!!” But other than that, meeting the other volunteers and knowing them better helps the experience become even more fulfilling. Crab feeds truly are enjoyable, and I suggest that EVERYBODY signs up for the next one and experience it themselves.
St. lukes crab feed - carmen chen
During the crab feed, volunteers dressed in white shirts and black pants showed politeness to their assigned tables while serving food. Everyone worked together and showed teamwork by helping each other when serving food to the guests, similar to how the officers help members. The volunteer’s attitude reminded me of how kind and willing officers are whenever you have a question. Even when an officer is limited to helping you, they still try their best to ask other officers for any need of assistance.

My source of happiness - Karen le
Key Club is one of my sources of happiness. Every Tuesday I wait impatiently for the end of the school day for the meeting. It's the only thing I look forward to on Tuesdays. I've said “I wish it was Tuesday on many occasions in my freshman year so far. I've made so many great friends that I would have never become friends with if I weren't in Key Club, also I grew closer with the ones I was already friends with. Sometimes I wish I could be in D201 with all the Sheldon Key Club members forever because they're the only ones that make me feel truly happy, and I've said that out loud before. Joining Key Club has honestly been a life changing experience because trying to imagine my life without it is extremely depressing. P.S. I teared up while writing the end because I tried imagining what it would be like without Key Club in my life.
