reetings Sheldon Monsters!
I hope you all had a fantastic February! It is now March, and with elections over, I am sad to say this will be the SECOND TO LAST newsletter. Please be aware for upcoming events, such as our Banquet and MRC’s HUGE recognition that is coming up within the next few weeks. Additionally, I suggest YOU to apply for appointed positions for the upcoming term— club level or division level. Do not be overwhelmed with the work—it is manageable and I know you are able to serve the club on another level. Don’t underestimate yourself, I see many dedicated and hard-working members, and I truly believe you are more than qualified to go for any position you want! Happy reading,
Tracy Ly

As a Vice President, I am tasked with creating a service project. Starting it, I was nervous if people would enjoy making dog and cat toys. I am glad to say that the turnout was greater than expected. We made enough dog toys to fill up an entire box, which caught me by surprise because I was expecting to make much less. It made me so happy to see the members having so much fun talking to each other and laughing while making the toys. Although we weren’t able to utilize all the shirts from the donations, I would like to thank everyone that donated for giving away their clothes. The extra clothes will be donated to the Division SLP Project on February 12th. My favorite moment of the service project was seeing all the Key Club members welcoming our new Key Club member Steven. It was very heartwarming to see all the members being so inclusive. I am definitely looking forward to creating another service project very soon. Once again, thank you to everyone that donated shirts and thank you to all the members that helped out at the service project! You will be saving a dog and cat from

Key Club? Nah, my loves steven tri
My key club experience has been astonishing so far. I joined Key Club on January 26th of 2017. When I joined, I was scared I wasn’t going to be accepted as a member — or as a person in general. On my first oncampus event, I got a warm welcome from everyone that made me kind of shy, but really welcomed. My first offcampus event was amazing too! I got to meet members in the district that are not from our school and get close to new friends! Ever since I joined I’ve made a ton of friends who care about me and support me. These friends I’ve made are honestly the best, I’ve became so close to them even though we’ve met for either a couple weeks or even a couple of days. These friends have helped me become less inconsiderate, assisted me towards who I should be friends with, learn to be less meek, and gave me a hand with opening up to everyone! So thank you to them, they know who they are. Even though I haven’t spoken to everyone in our group (though I would love to speak to everyone eventually), I consider Key Club as my second family and will most likely stay with them to the end of my high school years. I will commit my time to Key Club, attending many services to help out with our community, thanks to this lovely group of amazing people!

Featured Articles Super Sunday run - Erika zheng
During the Super Sunday Run we were able to reduce the amount of littering. We promoted recycling and encouraged people to throw away their trash. At the race we also guide runners to the food station with balloon sticks. After the event, all the volunteers got lunch and not to mention we also receive leftovers like potato wedges to bring home. Even though we didn't have much to do I was able to bond and interact more with the Key Club members.

Newly Elected Execu President - Venh Vong
Hello Monsters! My name is Venh Vong and I am honored to be your President-elect for the upcoming 2017-2018 Key Club term. This is currently my third year of Key Club and every moment of it has been absolutely amazing. Thank you all for allowing me to serve for one more year as an officer and giving me the chance to fulfill one of my dreams as a Key Clubber. This upcoming term is going to be truly amazing as I try to help the club reach greater heights with my goals as outlined by KITES. I will be creating better relationships with our sponsoring Kiwanis club, Rancho Murieta, by attending more of their monthly meetings. I also plan to increase member retention and club funds to give more members a better experience in Key Club. Together with board officers, I will be developing new leaders amongst members and educating more on Key Club knowledge to give members a sense of purpose to why they are serving. Lastly, on the topic of service, I will be helping the club surpass the club’s current overall service hours in the upcoming year! Thank you so much for taking your time to read this. I am looking forward to interacting with each and everyone of you in the next year as President.

Secretary - Elaine Phan
Hey Monsters! As you may already know, my name is Elaine Phan and I'm ready to serve YOU as your next secretary! For the next year I plan to FILE (facilitate, initiate, lend a hand, experience) to not only get through the term, but further bond with you in the next year of our Key Club journey! As much as I love Key Club, I LOVE taking naps and going on emotional roller coasters with my Kdrama marathons (because I can't actually run). If I'm not doing one of the two, I am finding ways to further improve my whale noises. However, because I can't stay huddled in my room forever... Friends are the next best thing. Just kidding! But I do love socializing with you, so feel free to message me anytime and anywhere! But if hanging out in person is more of your thing, you can find me chowing on some ice cream at our nearest Gunthers. All in all, I can't wait to get to know you all and I hope you and I can work our way towards newfound friendship! Lots of love, Elaine Phan
utive Board Treasurer - Henry Duong Bulletin Editor - Marcia Hey Sheldon Key Club! My name is Cagandahan Henry Duong and I’ll be your next club treasurer. Currently, I’m a sophomore in highschool that is in Sheldon High School’s Cross Country team and I also attend many service events. Although I have never held a position in Key Club, I believe this will be a great opportunity to gain experience and learn not only more about CNH Key Club, but also about becoming a leader. During my term as treasurer, I plan to raise $250 for each of our preferred charities, at the same time, educating members more about our preferred charities. Not only that, I will implement new kinds of fundraisers and have more fundraisers throughout the year to achieve these goals while tackling another goal of mine which is to lower DCON costs. I look forward to serving you all as treasurer for the 2017-2018 term.
Hola Monsters! My name is Marcia Cagandahan and I am the Bulletin Editor Elect for the upcoming term! I’m currently a sophomore and Member Relations head of MRC, and for the next year I hope to highlight important moments and events in the newsletter! I plan to implement comics and my own artwork in each issue, as well as educate you all on important Key Club preferred charities such as March of Dimes and UNICEF! While Key Club is a big part of my life, art plays a major role in mine as well! I’ve been drawing ever since I was a toddler, from doodling all over my house’s walls to having my artwork displayed at school. I absolutely love drawing, and I’m an aspiring animator who hopes to work at Disney or Dreamworks someday! Who knows, you might find me making Bee Movie 2 in the near future. If I’m not drawing, I’m usually coming up with cheesy puns and pick-up lines at the right moment to everyone’s dismay (but I got to admit, my jokes are pretty good). To sum up, I hope to get closer to you all and inspire you to do your best in serving our community! Hasta la Vista, Marcia Cagandahan
