1. Assemble all pieces needed for this process. 2. Working from the wrong side of the garment, pin the right side of the collar stand, the one without the interfacing, to the wrong side of the neckline. 3. Line up the end of the stand with the front edge of the placket. Pin sparingly matching centre front, centre back and shoulder notches.

4. Again, make sure the ends of the stand lines up with the edge of the front placket. 5. Stitch the collar onto the shirt neckline with a 1cm seam. 6. Check the notches as you sew.

7. Press the seam allowance up towards the collar stand.
10. Make sure the rounded ends of the stand are in line with the placket.
8. Fold under the stand seam allowance and edgestitch the collar into placecovering the neck seam.
11. Press the collar lightly.
9. Match the centre front, centre back and shoulder notches as you sew.
