Cultural and Historical Context Coffee was widespread in the Yemeni region of Arabia by the 15th century and spread to other parts of the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, within the next hundred years. It became integral to social interactions, not just within homes but also in public coffee houses known as qahveh khaneh. These establishments served as hubs for a variety of activities, ranging from discussions and news sharing to entertainment and political debate. The coffee culture in Saudi Arabia has traditionally emphasized serving the drink as a gesture of hospitality and respect.
Saudi Arabia's Coffee Market and Production Although Saudi Arabia is not a major coffee producer on a global scale, it has shown potential for growth in coffee

The grandeur of Murabba Palace and the historical significance of Masmak Fort immerse me in the Saudi kingdom's genesis. The day's journey through time is complemented by the vibrant scents and sights of Dira Souq.

Here, atop the Tuwaiq Escarpment, the world seems to pause, offering panoramic views that stretch beyond the horizon. A traditional meal shared with local Bedouins under a starlit sky is a fitting end to an extraordinary day.
Getting There: Self-driving is the most convenient way to visit. There are two routes: the Acacia Valley Route and the Sadus Dam Route. The Acacia Valley Route, accessible on Fridays and Saturdays, leads you through a valley with soft gravel sections, requiring careful driving. The Regent Jeddah, opening mid-2024, is set to be the first Regent Hotel in the Middle East. Located on the Jeddah Corniche, this hotel will stand 29 stories tall, offering 182 exquisite rooms with captivating Red Sea views.
