NEIL GAIMAN Neil Gaiman is an English author of short fiction, novels, comic books, graphic novels and films. Important works he has written are the comic book series The Sandman and the novels Stardust, American Gods, Coraline and The Graveyard Book. He has won many awards, such as the Hugo, Nebula, and Bram Stoker awards, as well as the Newbery and Carnegie medals. He is the first author to win both the Newbery and the Carnegie medals for the same work, The Graveyard Book (2008). Gaiman often writes fantasy but sets it in contemporary society with a lot of references to mythology and folklore. He has also appeared on The Simpsons and The Big Bang Theory as himself. The knife had a handle of polished black bone, and a blade finer and sharper than any razor. If it sliced you, you might not even know you had been cut, not immediately.
