Will You Be Guilty of a Pleasure? We all have to deal with it. Guilty Pleasures! Some of YOU may argue that a pleasure shouldn't make YOU feel guilty. Yet, it is a fact that we have to admit. You enjoy eating ice cream while you feel guilty about the calories you gained and so on and so fourth. That was why I made this the topic of this winter's issue. The Dangers of Consuming Sugar Sugar can be found in many sources of food like soda drinks, candy and desserts. But are YOU aware of the dangers of consuming a lot of sugar to your body? A French study about sugar stated that treatment of excess sugar in the body is similar to treatment of excess Alcohol and drugs consumption, which is that dangerous. 6 teaspoons of sugar is enough to cause diabetes type 2 and also

health issues like cardiovascular diseases, alzheimer's and cancer, let alone obesity. Sugar intake also increases the chances of cold and flu as it decreases body immunity by 50%, stated Dr. Reymond Francis . According to Nutrition Specialist, Maryiam Zahran, you should stay away from processed or refined sugar, which is the white sugar that you know. Healthy sources of sugar is usually found in fruits or honey.

Recently we have been hearing a lot from different people, family, friends, and social media about Yoga & Meditation. Many people as well started traveling to India to discover their own selves and to reach the ultimate goal of inner peace. Yoga and Meditation are just one family that should be practiced together. In doing so, you will start learning more about your inner self, going through a journey balancing your inner world with your outer behavior.

1# Balance and Stress Relief Yoga means ‘union’ between the individual consciousness and soul with the universal consciousness and spirit. The internal organs also receive massages and are stimulated through various movement of yoga, letting the glands and hormones rejuvenate, balancing emotions while improving the psychological outlook in life. For beginners wanting to relieve stress, I suggest Hatha Yoga, as this variation of Yoga is focused on gentle slow paced movement, holding poses for short time

focusing on the breathing, giving you the feeling of rejuvenated body and calm mind.

2# Calorie Burn If you are looking for weight loss, so you need a faster pace and strength practicing poses that increase calorie burn. In such case Vinyasa Yoga would be suitable as it focuses on the breathing, pace with the movement through poses. Another suggestion is the Ashtanga Yoga that requires strength as it is a form of power yoga that has a faster pace and more physical demanding,

That will help you extend period of stretching, boosting your flexibility and strength. Generally in any yoga class you will increase flexibility, Increase muscle strength and tone. You will improve your respiration, energy and vitality, while maintaining a balanced metabolism, weight reduction, Cardio and circulatory health, whilst protecting yourself from injury.

5# Mind Calmness Should you be aiming for some mental calmness, a combination of breathing and meditation is lovely. I personally love meditating on Morning Azkhar especially between 4-7AM and you can always join a Kundalini class that involves chanting’s mantras and breathing through energizing movements.

The Diving Experience with Rawi Jalal

Peace, magic, and adventurous electrical sapphire blue all the way to the horizon, with streaks of shiny silver from the crushing waves. Fresh breeze of pure air without pollution, and golden rays of energy from the sun… that is how I like to spend my days out there in the middle of the sea chillaxing and enjoying the distinctive feature of our blue planet.

My friends and I used to go on boat trips whenever we got the chance. Out there in the open sea, some of us dived, some of us snorkeled, and some of us just enjoyed sun bathing. Back then I didn’t have a Scuba license yet, so it was only snorkeling for me. I remember we went to some remote area in the middle of the sea, far from our known civilization, ending up in a place with a way older civilization than ours, an underwater world with uncountable encounters. In that day, some of my friends went down there for a wreck dive, and I stayed on the surface just snorkeling. I was seeing a huge old ship beneath me with rad features, covered in many colors of the corals, becoming the sea floor while maintaining the glory once owned by a ship that rode the waves. Next to this epic sight, I see my friends roaming around it exploring the majesty of it and the beauty of the marine life around it, and I thought to myself “I must get a diving license…”

It was then where I decided that I must experience such adventure myself. I must take the plunge myself, and be a diver. Since then I just couldn’t stop. I became a diver and kept moving forward to become an instructor, and still moving forward for bigger and deeper things. I remember my first dive the first time you get to breath pure air underwater is just an experience that you will not forget. A mind can’t erase experiences like those. It is the moment where you would be introduced to a whole new set of physics law that your body didn’t meet before, the world where light and sound have different characteristics. You get control of all your body limits, fly with no wings, dance sideways , or even walk upside down…

It was in my first dive that I looked to my side where there was a huge coral reef, with all the colors that you can think of. Different marine creatures was living in harmony together on it, thinking ….wow! It was as if I’m looking at a screensaver only in real life, and everywhere you look there is another one completely different... completely mesmerizing. It was as if life under the sea is enchanted with a spell and whom ever goes in it gets struck by it. With all the beauty you see up on the surface around the world from mountains, buildings,

museums, nature, creatures, and everything is just a tiny 30% of what is on in our planet. Just imagine the amount of things you can find in an unexplored 70%! yes! unexplored! Scientists say that it is possible that we know more about the surface of the moon than what we know about the underwater world. For all the outdoors people and nature lovers, I’m telling you, diving is where its at. For all the hikes you’ve taken, for all the mountains you climbed, for all the campings you went on, that is just a tiny speck of the 30% you got. Imagine more than 200% more places, sites, with creatures you haven’t heard before. A world different than yours, mountains higher than everest, hikes covered in corals and marine life, and friendly magnificent creatures waiting to be explored.. Ask the divers you know about their stories and they will not stop talking about the times where they got to swim along dolphins side to side on a remote island. The tears of joy they had from the first whale shark they saw in a open sea dive in Red Sea. Their dancing with manta rays under the rays of sun, the starry backs of spotted rays next to wrecks. The silliness of crabs movement on the beach, the adorableness of turtles coming to say hi at the bottom of the sea. The spookiness of caves and canyons that turned out to be even more magical. The pearly shine from the bubbles coming out from us... the hypnotizing rainbow rays of the sun caressing the ocean floor, the wickedness of moonlight reflecting on stones in night dives. O! the night dives and dive nights…

Scientists say that it is possible that we know more about the surface of the moon than what we know about the underwater world.

The stories just won’t stop, and it might be a surprise to you to know that all these stories can be in one diving site! It doesn’t matter if you went there a 1000 times. Each time can be different. If you love slow motion videos, calmness, and crazy experiences, this is your place, a world where peace is our nationality. Our language is love, and our job is happiness. Being a diver entitles you to all that, you are going to become a member of an exclusive elite group of people, where they are guided by passion and curiosity. You are suddenly going to have close friends from every place in the world where you might find a dive shop.

You can’t go the hair saloon and get only the third of your hair cut. You can’t get out of the house with underwear and shirt with no pants. You can’t see if you covered 2/3 of your eyes. You can’t enjoy a movie with watching only 1/3 of it; you just can’t, so why restrict yourself with only 1/3 of this world? Get the full experience and go dive!

Thus, the process of combat techniques to defend himself was developed. This sport is based on thinking and the use of reason before kicking. And many other appropriate programs for children from the age of three years up to 12 years. These programs address the personal aspects of the child such as the spiritual, educational, his islamic faith and Quranic programs such as Spring of My Heart program. Other programs develop the muscles of the body and skills such as programs (Eco Ballet, Eco Jombaz, Origami, I'll be Independent - Montessori ), and his thinking skills such as programs (Mental Arithmetic, Generation of Robots) and social skills in programs like (Respectable Investivator and The Art of Etiquette)

After an achievements of 10 years of the presence of the Plant Environmental Awareness in the community, the volunteer group obsessed by the environment has developed its performance until it became a community service company concerned about raising environmental awareness. Then it founded the environmental club for children to have an environment-friendly and a safe healthy place where they make school trips, vacations and spend their spare time.

Eco Kids creates themes for various school trips in each academic year to instill environmental values. For example, in the current year, they offered a trip about the paper tale informing kids about the trees that are the source of papers in their books and how they can preserve the trees by recycling. They also offer a range of enriching programs for their minds and their lives after school. For instance, they have a range of sports programs that are concerned with the body energy of a positive child to be able to adjust his emotions such as Taekwondo. The kid will practice this sport in an atmosphere that add values. He also learns the history of the sport and how they are caused by the human need to adapt and protect itself from threats.

In addition to the diverse programs every Thursday, the monthly festivals, summer camps or school clubs that offer the best education and entertainment programs that add value to the child using environmentally friendly materials.
