Vice President
Vanessa Ting
Corresponding Secretary
Hi everyone! I am so grateful to be your 20152016 Key Club President. I have been a member since freshman year, and this club has truly made a huge difference in my life. I have so many ideas and goals for next year, and I can't wait to share them. I hope I can make you all fall in love with Key Club the way I did. This is going to be such an exciting year, and I can't wait to get started!
I’m so excited to serve as next year’s Vice President! Being last year’s editor and having to research some of Key Club’s recent activities really made me appreciate what this organization has done and what it’s capable of doing. Key Club is the largest service program in the world for high school students, and it’s so great to be a part of this.
In my role as corresponding secretary, I plan to attend all meetings, and take notes for our club. I enjoy the amazing opportunities that our Key Club has to offer, and take much pride in giving back to our community. I can't wait to be apart of next years Exec. Board!

My name is Justin Lu and I will be the 2015-16 recording secretary. I joined Key Club because it is an easy way to give back to the community. Since it is such a huge organization, opportunities to give my time to volunteer service are everywhere. Though I did not join until my junior year, it gave me plenty of time to figure out what Key Club is all about and I am definitely excited to serve the club as a part of the executive board.
I have joined Key Club because I have experience in Builders Club run by Kiwanis. I was Treasurer of Builder’s Club in 7th grade. I love math and numbers. I am a freshman and am taking Algebra 2 Honors. Also, I am dedicated to my work and will prioritize my schedule to fulfill my responsibilities to our club. I like to volunteer my time at places I enjoy.
When I first heard about Key Club, I was confused as to what it's purpose actually was— a club about keys? Now I've discovered that Key Club is an amazing opportunity for anyone wishing to give back to their community. Editing and design has always been a passion of mine, and when I found I could contribute that passion to Key Club I was eager to do so. I'm so honored to be named as one of next year's editors and very excited for the year ahead.

Hello Key Clubbers! I’m Sharon Christian and I will be next year's editor! I hope that I can spread the word about all of Key Club’s events and activities. So about me: I like the color purple and enjoy eating fried chicken. I joined Key Club because I want to give back to the community; seriously, there are too many things we take for granted. So whether it is participating in the Toy Drive or helping out in the Senior Dinner, these little things benefit our town a lot! Hope to see you guys next year!
Hi, my name is Karoline Xiong and I am very excited to be historian for the 2015-2016 school year. I joined Key Club because I wanted to help my community. Key Club is a really good opportunity to give back and help those that are less fortunate, while also developing good character and leadership skills. As members of Key Club, we have the obligation of helping children and families in need. I am committed and passionate about the vision of Key Club.
I'm going to be totally honest. When I first joined, I only did it because I thought it would make me look better. However, after a few experiences I really changed the way I looked at community service. I felt a part of something; I was on my way to giving back to community. I wasn't a giver by any means, but I was going in the right direction. That’s why I wanted to run for office; I wanted to be more active in the community.Regardless, I hope my next year in Key Club will be just as memorable as my first.

DCON Q&A What is DCON?
DCON stands for District Convention, where the entire district of New Jersey gathers for an amazing opportunity to meet other NJ Key Clubbers. Everyone attends workshops and group events, while enjoying the rest of the day walking the boardwalk and around the hotel.
When and Where is DCON held?
The 69th annual DCON will be held from March 27th to March 29th at the Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch, NJ.
What is this year’s theme?
This year’s theme for DCON is based on Harry Potter, where we’ll discover the magic of service.
What fun events happen at DCON?
Apart from the workshops and caucusing, DCON has a talent show, an impromptu essay contest, a scrapbook contest, ice breakers, and 2 awesome dances. There’s always fun activities at DCON to enjoy.
What’s the best part about DCON?
The people, friends, atmosphere, and the renewed love for Key Club that every person at DCON gets while they’re there. It’s no question how incredible the impact of New Jersey’s Key Club contributions are when the results of projects are announced to everyone. When you come home and realize how many people share that passion for Key Club, you’ll want to start making a difference right away. Key Notes - February 2015 - Volume I Issue IX - Page V
District Eliminathon The New Jersey District Elimination, hosted by our very own Past-Immediate Lieutenant Governor Aleena Kazmi, was held at Arthur L. Johnson High School. Each divisional winner competed for the title of District Champions on Sunday, February 8. It cost $5 to attend, with all proceeds going towards The Eliminate Project, and Key Clubbers, friends, family, and Kiwanians were encouraged to come and spectate. With food, activities, raffles, and an exciting volleyball tournament all for an amazing cause, the District Elimination was a great success.
Valentine’s Day Traditions As per its usual Valentine’s Day celebration, Key Club packed candy bags for each Parsippany Hills High School administrator, teacher, adviser, aid, and employee. With several Key Club volunteers, over 10 bags of chocolates and candy, and 180 mini packages of candy delivered, Key Club plans on continuing its small acts of service for the many years to come.
