>>> NFTs & Cannabis art An Interview with TROG and Jeremy Webb ROG is an Australian born artist known for his array of awesome stoner art. During his career, TROG has penned a multitude of celebrity, music, and alternative lifestyle brand artwork. His cult following spans across forty-five countries, and his unique cannabis inspired artwork is admired by many. Recently, he embarked on an NFT project with Software Developer, Jeremy Webb and I had the pleasure of speaking with both of them about the project. STEPHANIE: I know you specialize in cannabis related art, what are you working on right now? TROG: Mainly cannabis comics but also some cannabis rock posters and other plant related stuff. STEPHANIE: Are you still tattooing? TROG: Honestly, I haven't picked up a tattoo machine since maybe 2019, all of my tattoo inks would be hard and crusty now. Tattooing was never my main gig, it was always more of a thing like, I’m a fairly tattooed person and I was always fascinated by the art of tattooing, but only certain styles (the full solid bright color stuff). So, I wanted to learn how to do that and I did it for a bit and then ended up being pulled back into my other art. I’m probably due to do a few tattoos again one day soon.

STEPHANIE: How's the cannabis industry where you guys are at? TROG: The cannabis industry near me? Well, I am in Melbourne, Australia - let’s just say, it's not like the cannabis industry where you are! JEREMY: I live in Oklahoma which was late to the game when it came to introducing medical cannabis. When they did, they became the new “Green Rush'' state and the industry has totally exploded into something awesome here. I personally live in a town of around 20,000 people, and we have at least 12 different medical cannabis stores, which helps keep quality up and prices low. Just last week, I grabbed a dank ounce of Cinderella 95 that tests at 31% THC for $116, then grabbed some oil that tested at 87% for $7 a gram. It’s an awesome time and place to be a part of, and I think anyone that gets to live through a state's medical days should feel honored to witness that piece of history. STEPHANIE: Your new venture together includes the creation of NFTs which I am very unfamiliar with. Can you explain to me (and our readers) what NFTs are and how they work? JEREMY: The technology underlying NFTs is based on the emerging concept of Web 3.0, which represents the next evolution of the internet focusing on decentralization, openness, and greater user utility. So far, the main industry that has embraced these technologies is the cryptocurrency industry, and NFTs are no exception to this.

The first cryptocurrency and the most popular is Bitcoin, but its network isn’t geared to work with the smart contracts required to create and trade NFTs. So, while NFTs can be generated using several different proprietary blockchains to host them instead of Bitcoin, most people choose to release NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain due to its popularity. By “minting” an NFT onto the Ethereum blockchain, the artist is making a non-fungible (can only ever have 1 copy) digital release of their art that can then be easily traded on exchange websites. Effectively, this makes the often elitist world of “fine art trading” something accessible to a wider audience, which is the whole point of Web 3.0. Also, the technology behind cryptocurrency blockchains generates a permanent ledger of all transactions made on that blockchain, which means you have a permanent ledger of accountability for any NFT that is released. Imagine if every piece of fine art or collectible ever sold came with a record of every owner as far back as the person that first created the work. That is the true benefit to the NFT market. By locking each piece of art into a permanent immutable and distributed ledger, falling for forgery is impossible if the purchaser is properly guided in the process of checking the NFT’s transaction history back to its origin to verify authenticity. If there was anything even comparable in the legacy fine art market, guys like famous forger John Myatt would have never had a career. STEPHANIE: For this project, what are each of your roles? TROG: I'm just the art guy, I draw the pieces and we brainstorm certain parts of the project. It’s not a “pop up and drop 10,000 piece project”, it's more of an artistic venture, all hand-drawn and slower, but long-term. JEREMY: I run a computer repair business, do website and software development, plus I launched a cryptocurrency in 2018 that I managed for 3 years before passing it on to the community involved with it. I also have some of TROG’S custom art he did for me tattooed on both my forearms, so when he reached out to me about an NFT project he wanted to do I was really excited! Honestly, I’m sure TROG could probably handle everything I’m doing for him on his own, but basically I handle any of the “nerdy” stuff, aka tech related work. I also am on the front lines interacting with NFT buyers helping to organize purchases and help ensure a safe and successful purchase process. By taking those parts off TROG’S hands hopefully it helps him concentrate on the art and keeping fans happy. STEPHANIE: Sounds like you guys make a great team. Tell me about the NFTs you've launched and what you have coming up.

TROG: Check them out at opensea.io/collection/nftrogs… the next ones are dropping at numbers 60-70, and we’ve got some plant heads in that mix. JEREMY: The vision for this whole thing has been 100% TROG, and it’s been really awesome to watch it grow. Right now all the NFTs we’re releasing have been done through the NFT exchange opensea.io on the ETH blockchain, but in the not too distant future I hope to explore other blockchains and sites to host the art too, like Tezos for example. We have a Whitepaper, or roadmap, for people to check out at the official website NFTrog.com as well as a link to the discord server and the opensea collection on the site. For a direct link to the opensea collection where people can purchase NFTrogs just go to opensea.io/collection/nftrogs STEPHANIE: Anything you would like to add? Also, TROG, how can readers follow what you are doing artwise? TROG: Readers can go shopping at artoftrog.com and use the code CHOPCHOP for 25% off! You can also follow my art on IG at @artoftrog. JEREMY: I think without even realizing it TROG did an innovative thing during the early stages of this project by including real life collectable cards people get when they purchase their NFT. By adding this real world item in with the NFT purchase, it means the user could sell the NFT to another NFT collector down the road and still have a real world keepsake because they were the first one to buy the image after it was minted.

THE STONEY WORLD OF STONERDUDE By Shwa Laytart he art of Michael Maysonet, AKA StonerDude, pulls you in like a tractorbeam and keeps you hovering above each piece, mesmerized by the symmetry and line-work, all while giggling at each expression his creations possess, bringing to life a world that is familiar just as much as it is unusual. Born in the season of Samhain, at the end of the Sixties in the Boroughs of New York City, by the age of three Michael Maysonet had already begun his ritual of wielding the pen, or in the case of these humble beginnings, a crayon. He would spend hours drawing out his favorite characters from Warner Bros. and Disney, and mimicking styles he picked up from cartoonists Charles Schulz, Chuck Jones, Friz Freleng, and Tex Avery. In the early Seventies, Michael’s family moved to Southern California and like most adolescent boys in the Seventies, Michael devoured comic books. Always with a pen or pencil in hand, his skill and creativity would be inspired by his comic book idols, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. In high school art classes Michael began practicing techniques with a variety of mediums from watercolors and acrylics to airbrushing. When Michael was eight years old he would hang out with a group of friends who shared his love for rock and roll and they would lip-sync songs by the band KISS. Here Michael would find a new creative outlet, his second passion- music. While his friends played air guitar to Black Diamond, Michael was banging out air drums with his mom’s wooden spoons from the kitchen, visualizing each beat of the drum and crash of the cymbals in the song. Like drawing, music would become a major part of Michael’s life. Coming up in an age with artists like Robert Crumb, Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, and Frank Frazetta, creating their own unique style of

16

in Las Vegas, Nevada, Michael beats the skins and crushes the high hat with his band BONG and fills in with bands whenever an accomplished drummer is needed. Little did the fourteen-year-old Michael who won the anti-drug poster contest know, that the adult Michael would develop another love in his life- a love for the cannabis flower. Here is where the alter-ego StonerDude arrives on the scene, the animated liveaction character who has become its own personality out in the world.

cartoons and fantasy art only encouraged Michael to continue practicing his own art form. At the age of fourteen Michael entered his drawing talents in an “Anti-Drug Poster Contest” and his colorful Just Say No poster won. With his bounty in hand, Michael bought his first, cheap, drum kit. Much like drawing, once Michael started playing the drums he never stopped. As a young adult, he lived in Oakland, California, playing with bands all over the Bay Area and throughout the West. At the same time, Michael was drawing concert posters and fliers as well as designing t-shirts for bands he was in and knew. Michael has played, performed, toured, and recorded with dozens of accomplished musicians, and now, living

It’s this ritual trifecta of cannabis, music, and counter-culture that becomes the muse that guides Michael’s AKA StonerDude’s fun, fantastical b-movie style of cartoonish artwork. You can find not only his prints on his website stonerdudeart.com, but you can also purchase his first 24-page coloring book by Avantpop Publishing, the first of what he hopes is a long series of StonerDude book projects as his stoney drawings are without a doubt, perfect for coloring books. Whether it’s on the stage playing drums, or painting and selling art, you can follow him on all social media platforms to find out where StonerDude will be performing next. @stonerdudeart

>>>>>>> Building a Safe Space for Women to Come Together, Connect and Engage Originally from New York, Rebecca Perrick got her start in healthcare as a board certified Occupational Therapist. Always a supporter of cannabis, she didn’t fully know the medicinal value but she did always know that consuming cannabis wasn’t wrong. While vacationing in Vegas seven years ago, she discovered a vape pen. Her mind was blown and as a scientist at heart, Rebecca was fascinated with this as well as the potential of the booming cannabis industry. Shortly thereafter, Rebecca made the move to Las Vegas with a group of friends who were also interested in the industry. After moving, Rebecca immediately started networking and attending conventions. In fact, the day after she landed, she attended her first Women Grow event. Knowing that she wanted to be in this cannabis community, she started networking with a purpose. Her first job within the industry was with Dixie and Silver State Relief doing sales. She was with them for over two years and while there, she was asked to speak on her first panel discussing Edibles 101 at an LVMMA luncheon. After that, the opportunities exploded. Rebecca was

offered more speaking engagements and panels and instead of just participating in Women Grow, she was offered the opportunity to actually lead the community and help move it into the experience that she had hoped it would be. As a college student in New York, Bri Padilla entered the cannabis industry from a journalistic angle, specifically advocacy journalism. Her college had a very active NORML chapter and Bri appreciated the opportunity to tell stories with a purpose. After college, upon returning to Las Vegas, Bri began looking to get her secondary degree in nonprofit administration. This was shortly after cannabis was legalized recreationally and Bri was doing technical writing and SEO work for a local dispensary. While doing that, she had the chance to join the founding chapter of Las Vegas NORML as their Communications Director. There, she experienced some things that led to her exiting the organization and while she believes that the organization provided a great resource for patients, behind the scenes, it wasn’t equipped professionally to protect its members in the same way as other organizations and companies in other

industries. As she was witnessing the same thing happen within other national cannabis groups, Bri met Rebecca Perrick who was gearing up to lead our local Woman Grow chapter. Prior to this, Bri had been aware of Women Grow but felt that the general consensus was that the group felt “elitist” and welcoming only to certain people. After discussing the opportunity, the pair decided to accept the challenge together and thus began working to build a cohesive group within the industry. The partnership between these ladies worked wonderfully and each month, they were doing panels, parties, and networking events providing different experiences to help bring the community together. Collaboration had always been a part of their plan. As they watched brands doing pop-ups, they immediately saw the opportunity for various brands to pop-up together and work cohesively. Their first event as Women Grow coordinators, they did a “Meet Your New Market Leader” event. Moving forward, they featured artists, local glassblowers, an array of sponsors and awesome community participation. For them, It was a really beautiful thing to see everyone come together in collaboration instead of in competition. Once the pandemic hit, and Women Grow evolved their model, Rebecca and Bri decided to launch Lady Led Collabs. They are equal partners in the venture and while they do still participate in Women Grow events, their main events each month are through Lady Led Collabs. Their main goal with Lady Led Collabs was to build a safe space for women to come together, connect and engage. They welcome men who are allies of women but their events each month are designed specifically for the success and betterment of women. For more information about Lady Led Collabs, visit ladyledcollabs.com. You can also follow them on social media @ ladyledcollabs.

SPOTLIGHT VEGAS TASTING ROOM >>>

By Stephanie Shehan

Currently, the industry is working on regulations for the recently passed lounge bill. But, did you know that in Las Vegas, we already have one lounge open? The Vegas Tasting Room inside Nuwu Cannabis Marketplace has been open since 2019 and is the perfect place to meet up with friends and try some infused goodies. I sat down with Tom Nieves, the Marketing Manager for Nuwu to find out more about the Vegas Tasting Room and all it has to offer. STEPHANIE SHEHAN: The Vegas Tasting Room was the first lounge to open here in Nevada. How long has it been open and what made Nuwu decide to open the Vegas Tasting Room? TOM NIEVES: NuWu Cannabis has always taken great pride in being uniquely able to help move cannabis reform forward. We were the first dispensary in Nevada to open our 24 hour cannabis drive thru, something becoming more and more commonplace today. So when the discussion of cannabis consumption lounges started to take shape, it just made sense. The Vegas Tasting Room opened its doors in October of 2019 with a huge party that included attendees like Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather Sr, Jason Harris of JBD, and many other industry leaders. SS: What can patrons expect when visiting? TN: We offer an extremely diverse menu featuring some of the best cannabis products the state of Nevada has to offer. We also offer a variety of consumption methods such as bongs, pipes, prerolls, dabs and more. And with our large variety of glass rentals, patrons can enjoy their products using a Studenglass gravity bong, Dr dabber switch, Puffco Peak Pro and more. SS: What is the cost to visit? And, is there special pricing for locals?

22

TN: We currently offer two types of service: VIP and Walk Up. VIP packages range from $400-$1100 and include a variety of cannabis, an autographed JBD bong and JBD hammer pipes that patrons get to keep. Walk Up packages are $50 per person and include a THC infused cannacocktail and preroll. Once patrons have purchased either a VIP or Walk Up package, they have access to our full menu which features dabs, prerolls, infused flower and much more. We also just started a new "Locals Wednesday" promotion where guests with a valid Nevada ID can enter the Vegas Tasting Room free of charge and shop a la carte. Furthermore, cannabis industry employees with valid MMJ credentials can also enter the Vegas Tasting Room free of charge Wednesdays thru Sunday. SS: Once you enter, how long can you stay? TN: Guests purchasing VIP table packages are alloted 90 minutes to enjoy their goodies, and Walk up's are given 30 minutes. However, guests who are actively purchasing add ons (like dabs, prerolls, ect) are given more time to enjoy their products. SS: What products are available at the Vegas Tasting Room? TN: We have an extremely diverse menu that includes products like cannacocktails, infused and non-infused prerolls, flower grams, dabs, edibles, and much more. SS: Are infused food and drinks available? What about uninfused options? TN: Yes! We offer infused plates of food that are powered by some of the best food trucks Las Vegas has to offer. We also have over a dozen cannabis infused mocktails

like our Canna-rita, Arnold Palmer, and our Nuwu Mule. All drinks are microdosed with THC and are non alcoholic. The food trucks we have on site offer plenty of non-infused options for guests visiting the lounge or the dispensary. We also have recently partnered with Makers & Finders to offer both infused and uninfused coffee for Tasting Room patrons. SS: Can patrons purchase items at Nuwu and bring them into the lounge to consume? TN: No they cannot. Think of your favorite neighborhood bar. There you can likely purchase individual shots, but you cannot bring your own bottle and serve yourself. Our model is exactly the same. All products served in the Vegas Tasting Room are meant for single use only, and any/all sharing is strongly discouraged. SS: What are the hours of operation? And, where is Nuwu located? TN: We are open Wednesday through Saturday from 1:00pm to 11:00pm. We are also open on Sundays from 10:00am - 5:00pm. Nuwu Cannabis Marketplace and the Vegas Tasting Room are located at 1235 Paiute Circle, Las Vegas NV 89106. SS: How can readers follow or find out more information about the Vegas Tasting Room? An Interview with Artist, Linda Biggs

By Stephanie Shehan

started researching and asking questions. I immediately got my MMCC card and began a regime of RSO Suppositories, I still make to this day. That changed everything. I started healing and my entire mind, body and soul became one again. SS: What led you to your journey as an artist?

Linda Biggs is an amazing artist who has embraced the healing powers of cannabis. She creates an array of art featuring beautiful fairies and recently launched a glass line. I had the chance to chat with her about her art and her journey with cannabis. STEPHANIE SHEHAN: Tell me about yourself. LINDA BIGGS: I am a Fairy, so much of my human meanderings are kinda private. I am a mom of two grown daughters, 27 and 30ish, they have their own lives- one in New Jersey the other in Colorado. I live with their father in the green hillsides of Maryland far outside city life. Fairies tend to create their own path and my journey has been a bit of an adventure. SS: What led you to cannabis?

24

LB: This is a very long answer! I had never used cannabis in my youth. I was in a tragic life altering accident in 2012. Two year later, after so much medical intervention, cognitive therapy and allopathic medicine was just not working. I was still suffering from a TBI, permanent spine trauma and neuralgia of my hands and feet. A friend brought me a bag of "Gray Market Weed". I was insulted and frankly appalled. However, a few days after looking at it, I decided to give it a try. Low and behold, that very first try my little broken body felt some relief. That was the moment my real healing began. I

LB: When I was a child (like age 5 and 6) I knew I wanted to be an artist. I mean, I was an artist...all kids are artists. I never grew out of that. I have created art my entire life. After high school I was a graphic designer and marketing director. Once I had children I returned to art. SS: Is creating art your full time gig? LB: Yes, art and creating my brand is 24/7. I'm always in creating mode - and that can be a problem for those around me. However it's who I am. SS: Why the Fairy Realm?

LB: We have created a variety of useful pretty items. We have "Jewelry Trays” and dab mats, smoking papers, tapestries, adult coloring books, journals, fanny packs, art prints and more. All the products that we have, I use. SS: Tell me about your new glass line. LB: This was such an honor. It is a licensed project with Influenced Brandz. They have created such an enchanted glass line. Keep an eye out, they have a lot of cool things in store. I feel as if they are my grown up trophies! I never imagined this kind of awesome opportunity. SS: How can readers follow you online and on social media?

LB: When I was 5 or 6, I would play outside in our garden of "Lily of the Valley". I saw in my minds' eye, Fairies there, it was my little safe place. It is where I would find peace. Not much has changed. I am 60 and that still rings true.

LB: My online store is www. CannabisQueenRX.com and/or www. LindaBiggs.com and on social media I am @LindaBiggs #LindaBiggs

SS: Your art is very female-centric and beautiful, do you include male-centric art as well?

LB: Thank you so much for this interview. As an artist, marketing is my most difficult task. The painting part is easy. The real truth is...cannabis saved my life. I want to scream it from the rooftops so people understand they have other medical options. It takes guts and a lot of research to find medicine outside our allopathic doctor's offices. Cannabis has helped me become healthier and happier and a much better fairy.

LB: Yes, thank you! it is…all of my life I created Feminine Fantasy creatures. In my rainbow colored glasses- that is how I see Fairyland and Fairyland is where I choose to be. Funny, I have tossed a male centaur and a few other masculine creatures into the mix just to get a rise out of people, but my creative focus is on feminine energy. SS: What types of items can readers order with your art on them?

SS: Anything you want to add?

Budtender of the Month

>>>INTERVIEWS BY rocky hernandez jorrell ellis

Las Vegas

STEPHEN CALLAHAN Budtender at MEDIZIN Stephen Callahan is a veteran in the cannabis industry. He’s put in work on the cultivation side of the industry, now you can catch him budtending at Medizin in Las Vegas, Nevada. Stephen has a genuine love for the plant and uses it to compliment his healthy lifestyle. What was your first industry job? I first started my career in the cannabis industry at Cannacopia in 2016 when Nevada was only medically legal in our state. I mainly did budtending and reception while I was there. Do you use cannabis for medical/health reasons or just recreationally? I use cannabis for both medical and recreational purposes. But I find that the two intertwine because I rather enjoy using the product to stay healthy. If cannabis is ever federally legalized, what’s one thing you hope comes along with that? If cannabis was to become federally legalized I would love to see a home growers license in which you could grow your own, have it tested, and dispense at local markets and cannabis events. What are some of your interests outside of budtending? Some of my interests outside of work are artsy, indoor rock climbing, hiking, hanging out with my cat, and cooking food with my family.

What was the last product you saw and knew you had to buy it immediately? The last product I saw and absolutely had to grab was an 8th of MAC flower by Green life Productions. What’s your favorite topic/subject to educate customers on? My favorite topic to keep customers up to date on is definitely terpenes and how important it is to find what works for you when it comes to purchasing flower What do you enjoy most about budtending? Assisting a patient in finding something that might help and then it does. Being able to help someone replace prescriptions and find relief. What kind of products would you recommend for a new consumer? I would recommend a low potency sativa hybrid flower so they would have a fun time without the anxiety/paranoia factor that high THC flower can sometimes produce with new cannabis users. What’s your favorite way to consume? My favorite way to consume cannabis is hits from a bong. What HAVE You been smoking on? I’ve currently been consuming Growers Circle RSO, MAC flower from GLP, Irene flower from Medizin, and GG4 flower from Medizin.

JAKE NORKETT dive into concentrates, whether it's explaining the processes of extraction or matching them with the perfect consistency.

Budtender at SIERRA WELL Jake Norkett is a budtender at Sierra Well in Reno, Nevada. Jake takes pride in finding the right products for his patients and uses his awesome customer service to keep them coming back. What was your first industry job? I first got into the industry in 2018, I was a consultant at Kanna in Sun Valley, Nevada. Do you use cannabis for medical/health reasons or just recreationally? More so, recreational but if I stopped consuming cannabis, I wouldn’t sleep or eat half as much. If cannabis is ever federally legalized, what’s one thing you hope comes along with that? I’d love to see health insurance cover costs or provide for the medical patients, but I think we might get a Stiiizy Super Bowl ad before that. What are some of your interests outside of budtending? If I’m not working, I’m either walking my dogs on the river or going through some sports cards. I got pretty big into collecting with my grandma when I was a kid and it never really wore off. What was the last product you saw and knew you had to buy it? The Hustler by Culture and Cannabis What’s your favorite topic/subject to educate customers on? I really enjoy helping customers that are looking to

What do you enjoy most about being a budtender? I definitely can say I enjoy everything about being a budtender. I get paid to learn and talk about weed all day, but I would say it’s most rewarding to supply customers with products and know that it brings so much visible relief, and happiness to so many people from different walks of life. What types of products would you recommend for a new consumer? With newcomers, I feel it’s important to get them started with something simple and easy that’s going to give them the experience they’re hoping for. With there being so much variety of pre-rolls in particular, it is usually an easy task to find one that will produce the effects they want, give them a great first cannabis experience, and make them want to come back. What’s your favorite way to consume? Since I bought my Puffco it’s been my go-to, but a pre-roll is always nice when I’m walking the dogs. What have you been smoking on? Right now, some Modified Bananas from Shango and some Growers Circle OG Chem Sauce from MPX.

Certifying Diversity in an Industry Lacking It

Heather Cox with Certify My Company The flourishing national cannabis industry is responsible for a considerable amount of tax revenue for the Legal States and job creation numbers that would make any sensible politician happy. The 2022 Leafly Jobs Report indicates that approximately 428,000 jobs have been created from the industry and countless Americans are now business owners through the industry that’s growing in a million different ways. Within the industry employees themselves, it’s considerably diverse. A walk-around of any of the numerous conventions surrounding the cannabis industry will show the diversity that exists amongst employees. During my years in the industry, I’ve worked with someone from every walk of life imaginable. Especially coming from such a sorely non-diverse workplace such as the mortgage business, it’s refreshing to see this kind of employment diversity. On the business ownership side however, cannabis is far more reminiscent of the mortgage industry. Although many states are spending millions in dollars and worker hours to ensure that those most impacted by horrific policies of the drug war have their seat at the canna-business ownership table, those communities are sadly still being excluded in droves. For executive level/board of directors positions in Nevada cannabis companies, a recent diversity report from the Cannabis Compliance Board shows that 74 to 77 percent of those people are white and incredibly male-dominated. 71 percent of business owners are male and an average of 63 percent of them are white. Only 12 percent were Hispanic and a shockingly low 5 percent of business owners are Black on the national level.

28

Luckily though, diversity applicants in Nevada have dedicated professionals with years of experience to navigate them through the treacherous world of getting their businesses certified in a variety of ways. From the complicated frustration

she and her fellow women business owners received due to the Women Business Enterprise (WBE) certification, Heather Cox created Certify My Company, a group dedicated to providing that much needed navigation across the challenges that small and particularly diverse companies face. As Heather has seen from her years of corporate and network marketing, diversity is tantamount in all industries and can even be beneficial to suppliers and buyers in the supply chain of those industries. “Corporate America, the government and all these other agencies learned that when you diversify your supply chain and you include diverse-owned businesses in your supply chain for goods and services that you buy for a company, you end up making more money.” explained Cox. “You get a better ROI in the supply chain and so more and more, companies are wanting to spend more money with diverseowned businesses.” With business certifications, these businesses can verify the statuses that make them stand out from their competitors. Whether its a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification, Veterans Business Enterprise (VBE) or the aforementioned Women’s Business Enterprise as well as LGBT Business Enterprise (LGBTBE) and DisabilityOwned Business Enterprise (DOBE), these certifications show that the diversity stated by these businesses is truthful. With the importance of supporting small and/or diversity-owned businesses becoming increasingly mainstream and large companies such as Target, Walmart and Nike announcing multi-billion dollar plans to support businesses such as the ones that Cox works with everyday, the certifications that CMC helps to streamline the process of obtaining have become equally as vital.

Possibly serving as a macrocosm of the cannabis industry, Nevada is notorious for a lack of diversity among businesses supported for public projects and works of the like. In fact, the architecture company that constructed Allegiant Stadium wasn’t only NOT diversity-owned but also wasn’t even located anywhere in Nevada. Manica Architecture has none of the diversity certifications listed above and their headquarters are in Kansas Cityfar from Sin City and the outrageously expensive stadium that everyone’s favorite transplant from Oakland plays in. Nevada (and to an extent the NFL and Mark Davis) couldn’t even keep their promises on the Allegiant Stadium contracts being awarded to local construction companies. Cox is both surprised and excited about Assembly Bill 341 and the slowly crafted consumption lounge program focusing so heavily on social equity and diversity inclusion in the badly needed ways that Question 2 did not include whatsoever for the Nevada cannabis industry back in 2016. She’s also interested in those two classifications, the same two classifications that Chamber of Cannabis President Tina Ulman described during our interview in the February 2022 issue. The social equity applicants are individuals from communities directly impacted by our country’s inhumane cannabis policies of both yesteryear and current day. In some states, a diversity applicant is defined as a potential business owner that can be listed as and receive the very certifications that Cox helps her clients get a hold of. “It would be excellent for the economy,” Heather explained, “There’s so many studies that prove when you support diverse-owned businesses, you are creating economies. There’s a lot of

people who are in this “gig mentality” and don’t want to go back to work for someone else, so we can hire each other in so many different ways. Support those minority and women-owned businesses who don’t have the opportunity to get the same type of funding and the same type of equity and equality. By giving them a leg up and an opportunity in an industry that would be prohibitively expensive, you’re creating economies and economics in demographics that wouldn’t be there otherwise. Although Cox is hopeful that the Nevada cannabis space will become more diverse with the measures guaranteed in AB 341, she’s aware of the state’s hesitancy at diversity inclusion. The Silver State is a perfect example of a state that has no supplier diversity program installed in the operations of the state government, with the only exception being the Las Vegas Valley Water District. A SDP, active in such states as Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and surprisingly even Florida, is a program that strongly encourages state contracts and work opportunities are awarded to businesses that fall under those diversity categories. This is the first time I’m writing this statement in my five years of freelance journalism, but Florida actually has a better enacted policy than the state I’m currently living in. “You can’t measure what you can’t count.” Cox said. “We can say that it’s good to have diversity within the cannabis industry, but if we don't know who's truly diverse then we can’t count those measurements. We can’t track those metrics. So hopefully Nevada will not stop this (diversity measures in the consumption lounges) and let it go through. I think it would be game changing for Nevada.”

everal Native American Tribes in Northern Nevada have set up cannabis programs in the past several years with the help of Tribal Cannabis Consulting. These programs have provided much needed streams of revenue to historically disparaged people. Lacking the opportunity of tribal casinos that have benefited tribes in other states, Nevada Indigenous people have embraced the cannabis industry to breathe new life into their communities.

Tribal Cannabis is Community Cannabis The art surrounding these programs has been made in conjunction with the communities they operate in, using imagery that highlights the cultural significance of each one of these Sovereign Nations. They also incorporate the “Green Rooster” - a cannabis brand with ties to Tribal Cannabis Consulting that has brought their industry knowledge and expertise from Colorado to help establish the Programs.

CANNABIS BUSINESS SCHOOL

By Shwa Laytart

PATHWAY TO OWNERSHIP - Nevada Social Equity Program

A 2010 study from the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) found that companies that participated in a business incubator had an 87% success rate — nearly double the 44% success rate of businesses that didn't incubate. A U.K. study from 2014 had similar results: The average survival rate for businesses that went through incubation programs was 92%. Cannabis Business School: Pathway To Ownership is an innovative social equity cannabis certification and incubator program created to ease the barriers to entry into the cannabis industry for those directly affected by discriminatory cannabis policies, over-policing, sentencing disparity, and marginalized communities. This sixteen-week cannabis business course, created by Cannabis Equity Inclusion Community (CEIC), not only offers professional training, mentorship, and technical assistance for entrepreneurs to be sustainable and profitable in their business but also provides tangible results to prepare those individuals for the rigorous cannabis application process. The roots of this certificate program are based on providing its participants with the tools and resources needed to thrive in the unique, competitive, and challenging cannabis industry and graduates leave with not only a full business plan but also a complete Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) designed for their cannabis business concept. One of the greatest benefits of Pathway To Ownership is those who guide the course. “When it comes to understanding the regulations, the codes, the whole structure with the Cannabis Compliance Board, students get as much support as they need,” Baker assured. The top goal of the school is to get the students ‘application ready’. “Getting through their business plan and SOP will help them pinpoint each aspect of the application and all the requirements needed so they won’t be blindsided. And if they are blindsided, they know they have the resources to get the answers in no time.” So,

32

program facilitator Ron Baker is available 24/7. Even when the program is over, students can still reach out to their facilitators. “My main goal was to set it up so I can contact individual students directly and follow up after the program and see how they’re making progress,” Baker says, committedly. Chandler Cooks, the first Lead Facilitator of the Cannabis Business School will be taking on the position of Dean of Students for the upcoming cohorts. Dean Cooks points out “We had students that are current business owners to those that have never heard of a business plan before.” According to Dean Cooks, one of the major topics is understanding laws and regulations as the language can be very confusing. Beyond education, students gain access to mentors who volunteer their time and knowledge, throughout the sixteenweek course. “People from all aspects of the industry, from CPAs to attorneys, advisors, dispensary owners, tax experts…people from all spaces come in. Students receive exclusive insight as to what’s going on in the industry.” And lastly, the opportunity to raise funds from investors. “We had two pitch days, our Freedom Brunch, and then at graduation. Students gave pitches at both events and the room was filled with politicians, investors, and those who really want to ensure these students win.” Dean Cooks remarks, “Being able to raise funds from investors for the operation of their cannabis establishment was one of my favorite takeaways.” Aubrianna Landrum attended the course to support her husband and his partner, “But I was challenged [by the facilitators] to create my own [cannabis business] concept.” The Baked Bean LLC was officially created and she will be moving forward with her

consumption lounge application when the time comes. She is now actively looking for a location. For Landrum, first and foremost is the incentive to bring social equity and inclusion to cannabis, but another highlight was that “students can connect with people and networks in the industry.” As Baker so eloquently put it, “Other than Pathway to Ownership, I want to open up a pathway to creating jobs for people who can’t get hired in other spaces that may frown upon those from the cannabis world or maybe have a cannabis blemish on their record. I want to provide a place for them to come and have the experience of being in the cannabis industry and the cannabis world.” Although Pathway To Ownership is a program that can easily be implemented on a national level, for now, only Nevada residents and members of CEIC can apply for the Cannabis Business Schools’ Pathway To Ownership program, but for a twenty-five dollar lifetime membership fee to CEIC, “the program is free for qualifying students” and in “April we should be rolling out the new cohort.” Head over to ceicnv.org to become a member. Anchored in the principles of freedom, equity, and opportunity (CEIC) focuses on civic engagement and policies that will make opportunities real and attainable for communities and people that were disenfranchised by the failed drug war. APRIL HOROSCOPES ARIES (MARCH 20 – APRIL 19) Aries energy sparkles this month thanks to the start of the astrological new year in your sign, the new moon in Aries on the 1st, and the beginning of Spring which brings a wave of excitable energy your way. It should be easy for you to improvise and still achieve your goals. This month feels highly motivated as if a dormant energy has been reawakened. Especially while Mercury is in your sign until the 10th of the month, new ideas come easily and spontaneously to you. It’s a perfect time to breathe fresh energy into work or home as you’re in an efficient and organized mindset. You’re so on fire you’ll want to treat yourself to something especially enjoyable like a 2.75g Trendi Blueberry Syrup Superblunt. TAURUS (APRIL 19 – MAY 20) As your birthday season rolls around in the bountiful and blooming Spring, you’ll be feeling ready to take on the world. Although you’re usually one to think things through before acting on them, this month feels spontaneously successful. Physically you have more strength and energy. With the help of Venus, you’re attracted to things that make your world look and feel good which makes it an ideal time to redecorate or go on a shopping spree. Relationships are infused with passion. The New Moon Solar Eclipse on the 30th of April in Taurus is especially helpful for reevaluating finances and investments. We recommend a reflective strain like Garlissimo by Cultivation Labs to help you go deep in your feelings and think through all that you deserve this year to manifest your dreams! GEMINI (MAY 20 – JUNE 20) Make sure to strap yourself in this month as your emotions take a wild roller coaster ride of ups and downs. You may find your mood especially stubborn as old conflicts arise and you find yourself arguing about the little things. Especially while Mars is in Aquarius until the 14th, you could find yourself sensitive to disrespect and injustice. Try to let it go with a happy, feel good strain like Miss Vegas by Green Life Productions. Personal relationships may be strained but you’re all good on the work front. As Mercury moves into Gemini on the 29th, your confident communication and engaging sense of humor make it easy to ride out strong feelings.

48

CANCER (JUNE 20 – JULY 22) Cancers are prone to strong emotional outbursts in the month of April, especially highlighted by Mars moving to Pisces from April 14th to May 24th. Impulsively motivated with Mercury in

By Margaux Hansberry

Aries until April 10th, you may say or do things that spill out of you uncontrollably. Take time to center yourself and think before you speak. Focusing on inner peace and activities that enhance this like reading, exercise, and meditation can be helpful. Or, keep some mood enhancing prerolls around like the Clementine Motivator Minis by Cannavative for when you feel like you just can’t deal. If things get too overwhelming, take some time to realign with yourself and your goals. LEO (JULY 22 – AUGUST 22) With two new moons and the first Solar Eclipse of the year this month, Leos will experience a lot of freedom to make transitions and embrace change. Although you find yourself wanting to live life to the fullest, this may cause you to lose interest in previous obligations. A lack of inhibition allows you to saturate all that you do with immense passion, including your sex life. In fact, April awakens a considerable sexual appetite for Leos in which it’s easy to explore your fantasies. We recommend Canna Hemp’s CBD Recovery Cream to follow all your escapades. Just try not to prioritize intimacy too much and lose track of what really matters. VIRGO (AUG 22 – SEPT 22) With Venus in emotionally thirsty Pisces from April 5th to May 2nd, you’ll feel yourself particularly needy especially when it comes to physical affection. Don’t beat yourself up if you’re craving love and feel yourself being clingy. You just need some extra TLC. There could be tension over wanting this attention right away but just try to enjoy the present moment and be grateful for what you have. Overall, you’ll feel quite positive and enthusiastic this month. Your responsibilities are handled with ease and a boss may communicate confidence in your abilities. Try a highly motivating strain like 24K by Level X to keep you on your grind and feeling ahead of the game. LIBRA (SEP 22 – OCT 23) The new moon on the 1st at the beginning of the month creates harmony and significant improvement in your life. If you feel you’ve been taken advantage of lately, now is the time to stand up for yourself and dictate your ideal conditions, especially in the workplace. Your communication is rock solid this month and you find yourself drawn to either study or interact with those who speak a foreign language. This may even mean researching a future trip out of the country. Although you may have had a difficult start to the year, things are working out and it’s an ideal time to figure out

how you want to move forward. A potent, tasty concentrate like the Banana Live Resin Budder by Huni Labs may be just what you need to sit back and daydream about your future. SCORPIO (OCT 23 – NOV 21) With an increase in impulsive energy this month, Scorpios may find themselves feeling emotionally unstable but with an excess of stamina. You may not feel like yourself. Try not to let the little things bother you with puffs of a handy disposable like the Cherry Gorilla Reserve pen by Verano. You’ll also be very fit this month so using exercise to distract you from irritations is a solid solution as well. Both restless and proactive, think carefully about how you react to situations. To avoid being misunderstood, you may want to avoid reacting all together until this emotionally charged time passes. The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus on the 30th will be a perfect time to reset for the future. SAGITTARIUS (NOV 21 – DEC 21) If your spirit has been feeling restless, this month is exactly what you need to liven things up a bit! With two new moons ripe with fresh beginnings, you’ll find it’s an excellent time to realign your needs. You’re especially in tune to your parental instincts and it’s a beneficial time to spend with children and family. You have a lot of youthful physical energy to share with your or a friend’s children. However, you may find yourself getting down for no good reason this month. Let it pass, since it has no specific cause there isn’t a solution. Keep an uplifting preroll pack around to fight the blues like the Sonny G Swift Lifts by Verano. CAPRICORN (DEC 21 – JAN 19) All work and no play will have Capricorns feeling a type of way this month. Although you’re able to put your head down and focus on your career with ease, it will catch up with you if you don’t take care of yourself. Give yourself time to rest or the fatigue will hit you when it’s least welcome and you may experience migraines or back aches. We recommend a strong topical like the Baskin 3:1 Focus and Center Transdermal Cream to overcome any pain. Your focus should be saving not spending as it’s not the best time for financial investments. In true Capricorn fashion, although your main efforts are at work, you’ll still have a good amount of time for family and friends. AQUARIUS (JAN 19 – FEB 18) Full of lively energy for getting things done, you are determined to go above and beyond in reaching your goals. You’ll be very busy this month! Motivated by Mars

in Aquarius until April 14th, it will be easy for you to stand out with a higher performance at work than you’ve shown in the past. Being recognized for your achievements increases your confidence. You’ll also be feeling quite impulsive which could cause problems in your relationships. Try to have patience for those that aren’t on your level or avoid them for the time being. Stay zen with a pack of Blackberry Lemonade Harmony 1:1:2 Pearls by Gron to avoid frustration while you’re waiting for someone to get back to you. PISCES (FEB 18 – MAR 20) Feel the flow of knowledge as you’re able to easily absorb information and work things out this month. It’s an ideal time to learn something that’s been on your list for a while. Communication skills are on point as you’ll easily be able to speak your mind, however, take care not to damage relationships trying to get them to see the light. Focus on sharing truth in a gentle way. Bringing a 6 pack of Cranberry Sage infused drinks by Cann to a social confrontation might make things feel better. Your creative energy is also strong and ripe for trying something new. It’s a good idea to use this energy to make something special for those you love.

Keeping a

CANNABIS JOURNAL >>>

By: Sarah Schwefel

When we walk into a dispensary the many options can be overwhelming. With so many strains and methods of consumption to choose from, where do we begin, and how do we know what works for us and what doesn’t? Budtenders can help patients take educated guesses on what may help them, but the reality is everyone’s endocannabinoid system is different, and what may work for some, may not work for others. Keeping a cannabis journal is a great way to log the plant medicine we have tried to learn what works best for our bodies. Let’s save the gambling for the Strip, and learn exactly what we need next time we visit the dispensary. Where do we even start? These sections are crucial in creating a successful cannabis journal:

Date and Time This may seem basic, but as patients, our symptoms and needs may have variances throughout the day. For example a heavy indica myrcene strain may be great for night time and getting to sleep, but that same strain could knock us down during the day. A refreshing sativa for day time use may work better in this instance.

How Do You Feel? Record how you feel before ingesting cannabis. What symptoms are you experiencing? What are your current pain levels? Perhaps you are looking to relax your thoughts? We want to record each symptom we are experiencing that we hope the plant medicine will help with.

Product In this section the more details the better. We want to record everything we know about the product; for example what terpenes it holds, cannabinoid percentage, indica, hybrid, or sativa, and so forth. For this, the stickers that come on our products are easy to just stick on our notebooks to quickly record the information as well. With this information, over time, we can learn what helps us and match those numbers to other products to be able to buy

52

exactly what our bodies need each time we go into the dispensary. For example, over time I’ve learned that my body needs at least 5mg of myrcene to reduce my symptoms enough to get out of bed, and the more the merrier for my body.

Dose We want to record how much we took (how many MG of a tincture, how many bowls of flower, etc.)

Onset of Effects How long did it take to notice any changes in the symptoms above or any difference in the way we feel? If we are not feeling any changes make sure to take note. For reference, it takes on average 60-180 minutes to feel the effects of orally ingested cannabis, 5-10 minutes for inhalation, and 20-30 minutes for transdermal application.

Symptoms That Improved A great way to know exactly how our plant medicine is working is to compare how we recorded what we felt prior to ingesting. With having multiple symptoms I am looking to target with cannabinoids, I love to create labels. For example NP-neck pain, MS-muscle spasms, BP-back pain, and so on.

Side Effects How did cannabis make us feel? Did we feel happy, or perhaps did it spike our anxiety? Was there anything we wished the cannabis did more of, like reduce pain, or help with appetite?

Rate the Cannabis Would you buy this strain again? Label 1-10 how much you like the product to know for future use.

PEGGY BUTTON,

founder of Peggy Button’s Apothecary A Disease with No Name In 1960, Button was eight years old when she stumped doctors as to what was causing the little girl to be so unwell. Fatigue, aching muscles, swelling, lowgrade fevers, hair loss and skin rashes were not symptoms an active eight year old should be going through.

From cannabis patient, to cottage industry caregiver, to launching her own brand, this grandmother of five has just begun. Washington State cannabis patient, Peggy Button, has long been known as a cottage industry caregiver in the legal medical cannabis market that began in 1998. Setting up tables at local cannabis farmers markets, offering up homemade goodness via medibles, capsules, and oils, wrapped in reusable cloth bags she made herself, Button is known for her quality goods and generosity in helping others. When legalization came in 2012, she stepped up slowly, and today she’s launching her own brand of Hemp CBD (cannabidiol) products with her own website. Button said everything she’s done for herself and for others has brought her to this place, and she’s ready to spread her caring net a little wider for the greater good, launching Peggy Button’s Apothecary brand with a line of her own formulations, using full spectrum cannabis and high yield CBD hemp she farms herself. But her place of giving and branding wouldn’t be possible without her long journey into becoming a cannabis patient.

“It wasn’t their fault, my symptoms were barely recognized at that point as illnesses, so they really didn’t even know what to look for,” she shared. “Later we learned that Auto-immune disease has an entire spectrum of symptoms.” Auto-immune disease (AD) was initially referred to as “horror autotoxicus,” named in the early 1900s by German physician-scientist Paul Ehrlich, who later was awarded the Nobel Prize for his contributions to immunology. The illness peaked in the 1950s, with direct correlations to toxins in our environment. “I was later diagnosed with Chemical Sensitivity Syndrome, with Fibromyalgia [FMS],” so everything started making sense at that point,” she added. “FMS typically affects older women - my aunt was diagnosed with FMS at 93. I remember feeling so angry, thinking I’d be in pain and sick my entire life.” Button said she grew up on a farm, where Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) was sprayed from above on more than just the crops, with the makers stating it was good for you. “The cows ate the overspray - I couldn’t drink the milk,” she said. “On top of that, there was a canary in town that was dumped into Puget Sound, the river that ran along our farm. They told us we

Daily Dose BY SHARON lETTS couldn’t swim in it, it was so dirty, but we hung our feet in it anyway.” It’s no surprise that AD initially had the word toxic in it, as research shows that synthetic toxins caused many of the autoimmune issues we still see today, including symptoms on the Autistic Spectrum. In a paper published in PubMed in 2014, researchers cited specific toxins associated with compromised autoimmune disease, Bisphenol A (BPA), asbestos, mercury, arsenic, and Trichloroethylene (TCE) - an industrial solvent, also carcinogenic, with researchers listing myriad ailments stemming from the use of toxins. The paper concludes, “The rapid rise of autoimmune disease globally has led some to label the situation an epidemic.” In reality, tens of thousands of toxins have been added to our environment since the late 1930’s, including cancer causing DDT, used as a pesticide on all our food crops for decades. These toxins are said to stay in our bloodlines for several generations to come, as noted in an article published in Scientific American in 2021. When Biologist Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring was published in 1969, it caused DDT to be taken off the U.S. market in 1972, spawning the Clean Air & Water Acts of 1973 and ‘74, respectively; with an admission that our waterways, as well as our air, had already been tainted by human hands. DDT was not water soluble, poisoning our soil for decades to come. “Three years ago everyone in our family was diagnosed or recognized to be autistic,” so it all makes a lot of sense,” she concluded.”

Healing Herself, Healing Others “When they offered me Thorazine, I asked what they were trying to do to me!?” she exclaimed, remembering. “I was so young, yet they had me on one heavy pharmaceutical after another my entire childhood - and nothing worked, including darvocet, percocet, darvon, codeine, and demerol. If they would have had opioids back then, I really would have been in trouble.” She first used cannabis in 1967 when she was just 15 years old, and found immediate relief. “My illness continued my entire life, but cannabis helped me,” she continued. “I didn’t know how it worked initially as a teen, I just knew it made me feel better. When I became pregnant at 19, I stopped smoking because I thought it was the right thing to do. When I was 21, I started up again, but kept it to myself. My family just didn’t understand.” Button said she was able to go off all the pharmaceuticals by 1993, with cannabis becoming her only medicine. By 2004, she acquired a medical cannabis card and was growing her own when she was raided by local police. Thankfully, she said she only spent about 45 minutes in jail, but one year in the courtroom, $20,000 in fines, and 240 hours of community service later she was done with the ordeal and back to farming her medicine. “I was labeled a felon, but I was free,” she said. “The worst part was going through the entire process without my medicine. And I was going through menopause at the time! It was rough, to say the least. They took everything I had and I ended up bedridden. It took two years back on the cannabis until I was fully functional again.” After she was raided, she dug deep into her Apothecary kit, cooking with the plant, and developing her own powered cannabis capsules for daily dosing. “My process and ingredients are proprietary,” she explained. “But for my brand, I’ve created special blends, made

with very clean, full spectrum Hemp. Everything we do is biodynamic, with no bottled nutrients needed.” Button developed a daytime blend to combat fatigue, and a nighttime blend to calm and induce sleep.

my apothecary after the raid. I can’t live without this plant. Yes, I’ve helped myself, but my favorite thing is helping others with this plant, and I know I’m not the only one. Once you know, you are called to help others and spread the truth about healing. That can’t be denied.”

“My own daily dose is taking my own capsules,” she said. “I put 30 milligrams of my own blend of powdered, concentrated cannabis with THC and high CBD Hemp added. I take two caps at night, then a daytime blend in the morning, and as needed during the day. My hemp capsules will have melatonin added for the night blend, but for my own THC capsules, it’s not needed.”

>>>>> CANNABIS AND DEMENTIA Part 2 Now that you have a better understanding of the disease that causes deterioration of cognitive functions, let’s get into what science we have with cannabis and dementia. A research study held by the Canadian Agency for Drug Technologies in Health carried out a study on 178 Dementia patients over 65 took place in a nursing home specializing in memory care for severe Dementia. The key findings of this study showed that cannabis may be effective for treating motor behavior (twitching), insomnia, aggression and agitation, irritability, which are common symptoms of neuropsychiatric from Dementia. In this study, there was very limited evidence of cognition, as well as minimal effectiveness of cannabinoids as treatment. These patients were administered 2.5-15 mg/g of Dronabinol and Nabilone, which are synthetic THC medications that are FDA approved (Peprah). Some cannabis researchers find these medications controversial as they are synthetically manufactured and are not THC in their natural form. Sufficient evidence from the study reported low quality of evidence. Further emphasizing the need for research with cannabis as a treatment for dementia (Peprah). There are 2 types of Dementia Cortical- which is in the outer layers of the brain (cerebral cortex), this involves the language and memory area. The second type is Subcortical- which is located underneath the cortex. This involves the speed of thinking and the ability to start activities. Generally, the patients that suffer from Subcortical Dementia don’t struggle with memory or language issues. Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, and HIV are diseases that may cause this type of Dementia (Rosado).

There are lifestyle choices that have the potential to improve and provide a better quality of life. These efforts help your brain function better, which include staying active (physical health), avoiding smoking tobacco, maintaining healthy blood pressure, eating healthy foods (plant-based and Mediterranean diets show the most efficacy in reducing risk for developing Dementia), managing stress levels, and keeping your brain active. These prevention efforts can also reduce the risks of Alzheimer’s disease (Dhana). What Demographics are a High Risk for Developing Dementia?

What is Brain Health?

As you can see from the facts in this column, the need for research is extremely dire. The crisis of this degenerative brain disease does not seem to be leaving anytime soon. In order to find treatments that may combat the disease, or at the least provide a better quality of life, we must open up our minds and communities to natural remedies such as cannabis, that may help the crisis that is occurring in America. Cannabis research on human participants is direly needed for the future of medicine.

Brain health refers to how well an individual’s brain functions in several areas. These areas include cognitive health, emotional function, motor function, and tactile functions (how you respond to sensations of touch, pain, pressure,
