>>> GreenBroz brings Design, prototyping & production TO NEVADA

An Interview with Cullen Raichart, CEO evada based GreenBroz is truly a leader in the automated postharvesting field. The company is veteranowned and committed to fine American craftsmanship, top-ofthe-line machine engineering and exceptional customer service. GreenBroz has retail partners across four continents and their team embodies a wealth of knowledge in regard to all aspects of cannabis cultivation. Streamlining the process of cannabis cultivation, especially here in Nevada could not come at a better time. With the Nevada cannabis industry hitting one billion in taxable sales, we are seeing an abundance of cannabis hitting the shelves. Before it can hit those shelves, it must be harvested, dried, trimmed and packaged. GreenBroz automates a large, and probably the most tedious portion of that process, the trimming.

14

Just a few years ago, Cullen Raichart and the GreenBroz team opened their state-of-theart, 50,000-square-foot facility right here in the Las Vegas valley. The facility allows for design, prototyping, and production as well as a showroom to be housed under one roof providing customers with a unique, immersive experience. The all-inclusive facility provides customers with a personalized experience that includes direct contact with the engineering and design teams. Cultivation clients of all levels can view the rapid prototyping process in action, talk directly with designers, and see the full line of machines on display. GreenBroz acquired a Nevada Department of Agriculture issued Hemp Handler’s license which allows them to utilize hemp onsite to demo their various machines and systems. Cullen Raichart created GreenBroz with a dream, a small amount of money and his garage. One might consider him a serial inventor as he thrives on the creative process which brings his ideas to fruition. GreenBroz was developed with the mission to create a

trimming machine specific to cannabis that would work better than anything else on the market. Today, the company offers a multitude of machines, many of which work together as a complete system to process cannabis from start to finish. Recently, I had the opportunity to speak with Cullen about GreenBroz, why the company was created, and where he sees it going. STEPHANIE SHEHAN: Hey Cullen, what side of Vegas are you located on? CULLEN RAICHART: We are over near The Speedway. We moved here a couple years ago from San Diego. I started GreenBroz in San DIego in 2012 and we moved the business to Vegas in 2019.

THE LATEST

>>> BY STEPHANIE SHEHAN

SS: Nice! What led to the move? And, are you originally from San Diego? CR: Mainly the cost of living. It’s more cost effective to live and do business here in Southern Nevada. It was also difficult to find good quality space where we were before. I am originally from Indiana, though I grew up in Colorado. After joining the Navy, I ended up in San Diego. SS: Tell me, what led you to start GreenBroz? CR: I’ve been an inventor my whole life. I had developed and invented things in the past but had never brought anything to market. I was involved in the cannabis industry as a grower and I had a friend come to me and commission me to build a piece of equipment. I built and patented what is now the GreenBroz Alchemist machine for dry sift extraction. I then took a truckload up to Northern California in hopes of selling them ...which didn’t happen. I then realized the need for better trimming machines. Back in 2012, I was at a company up in Garberville, CA and the maintenance guy who I was pretty good friends with was telling me about all the machines the company had. And I told him I would be back in a couple weeks with an even better machine. He didn’t believe me. I immediately went back home to San Diego, teamed up with a few people I had already been working with on other projects and built a trimmer which I did take back to that company in Garberville. With a viable product that was able to do things that no other machine at that time could do, GreenBroz was started. SS: Wow! What sets that particular trimmer apart from others? CR: We were in an emerging market. We do things a little differently than anyone else. As a company, our focus is on the quality of the product versus the speed. There is a need for both and we lucked out because our machine was fast and the trimmed cannabis was a quality product. At that time, there were other trimmers, but our dry trimmer was just very different from the others. Even today, the other trimming machines on the market do not put out the same quality as ours. There are alot of cultivations that sacrifice quality for volume, oftentimes because they think they have to because of the amount of product they

have. We just try to educate everyone on the importance of quality. SS: When you first started manufacturing trimming equipment, was there already an array of machines on the market? Or, were most companies still hand-trimming? CR: At that time, there was a massive handtrimming community. People would travel from Europe and all over the country to California for two months during harvest season to trim cannabis for various growers. Those same seasonal trimmers did this year after year and made good money doing it. Northern California is very special in cannabis because so much history has come from there. Machines existed back then but they were sub-par. There is an idealism in cannabis trimming. Good cannabis trimmers are artisans with great attention to detail. It's a craft, or quality level to handtrimmed cannabis and, even today, we have many clients that utilize our machines but lead the consumer to believe their products are hand-trimmed. SS: It is my understanding that many cultivation machines are designed to be utilized for an array of plants. Are your machines the same?

CR: Our company focuses on the cultivation of cannabis. Other crops typically have some sort of a protective layer like a skin or a rind, or maybe a shell or husk. Cannabis is very delicate, it doesn’t have any type of protective layer, and that’s a big deal. Our machines are designed specifically for cannabis. SS: What improvements have you made in equipment since that first machine back in 2012? CR: We’ve automated one of our trimmers so it’s faster. And we came out with a new design this year that we just debuted at MJ Biz Con that’s exponentially faster, I mean stunningly faster. This machine is market leading for sure. Like other trimmers we offer, it puts quality first while maintaining consistency and efficiency as well. SS: Would you say that today, most cultivations are using trimming machines? CR: Yes. Machines just give a different level of consistency that you cannot typically get from a team of people. You can set timers and adjust settings so that everything is precise in the end. We do also have clients that instead of going fully automated, utilize machines about 80% of the way and then finish with hand-trimming.

15

SS: Aside from trimming, what other machines do you offer? CR: As far as stand-alone machines go, we have five different trimmers, a trichome sifter/ separator, a sorting system which separates cannabis by size, and a rise conveyor which feeds the other machines. SS: Oh, nice! Sounds like you are building a complete system of machines that take cannabis from start to finish. CR: Our machines do work together. The cannabis is placed in the trimmer which, once trimmed, is sent to the sorter... all via automation. SS: Anything you would like to see changed within the industry? CR: Definitely the banking. We are a machine manufacturer but because we make machines for cannabis, we’ve had our accounts closed by two major banks. It’s funny, during the

pandemic, cannabis was deemed essential. So, our government believed that cannabis was necessary and urged us to continue operating but at the same time, made it extremely difficult to conduct business while not having a bank. SS: I feel for you. And can definitely relate as the same thing has happened to us more than once. What about the company internally? I hear you have a unique company culture. CR: I grew up in corporate America and I hated it. I also grew up in small business and I hated that, too. As a business owner, you understand the demands and needs of certain things. Here at GreenBroz, we try to have high levels of process and workflow coupled with a looser environment. We try to get things taken care of structurally while allowing people the freedom to be themselves within the structure. Engineering wise, we are very collaborative, but also very independent. Those on our team take on a project that they own from start to finish. And sometimes, there is failure. But oftentimes, that failure spurs creativity. I love having people

on our team that exercise creativity and I’ve found that the only way to really achieve that is by giving each person ample freedom. SS: What a refreshing outlook on business. So many people are over the 9-5 typical grind. Last question, what works for you as far as escaping and clearing your head? CR: For me, it’s motorcycles. Most magical experiences and probably the best times of my life have been on the back of a motorcycle. I was very fortunate, when I met my wife, she liked to ride. For her 50th, we bought a nice big bike. Riding gives you the opportunity to be away from everything that is plaguing you. For my wife and I, to be that close without saying a word is amazing. SS: Thank you for taking the time to speak with me. I can’t wait to see what GreenBroz brings to the market in the future. For more information, visit greenbroz .com.

Budtender of the Month

Las Vegas

ELISE SMITH Budtender at SHOW GROW Our Southern Nevada Budtender of the Month is Elise Smith who works at Show Grow. She has been in the industry for over 4 years as a budtender, she is extremely knowledgeable about cannabis and has excellent customer service. High Budtenders have seen Elise in action at the dispensary first hand, she ensures her customers leave with a little more knowledge about cannabis than when they first arrived at the dispensary. She is a legendary budtender that we have a lot of respect for. What’s your favorite topic to educate a customer on? My favorite topic to educate people on is how to make their own edibles. I get really excited when the guest I am helping is interested in making their own. There are so many options for people in how they want to consume so it is very fun to show them what they can do. What have you learned about cannabis from a customer? I've had multiple guests educate me on how CBD has the potential to help kids with autism. That is not something I am well versed in but parents or caretakers have really opened my eyes to what is possible. What’s something you didn’t expect or something that surprised you when you first got in the industry? One thing I didn't expect when I first got into the industry was how much the average consumer didn't know about cannabis, myself included. It has been very fun to learn about it and to watch people learn about it with it being legal. What’s the most interesting THC product you’ve sold or seen in a dispensary? The most interesting thc product that I have gotten

26

the privilege to sell is the intimacy oil by EGO and other THC lubes. I find it fascinating that THC can even work that way and I love that it does. If you had to describe your budtending style in three words, what would they be? My budtending style is quick, direct, and knowledgeable. What's your favorite way to consume and why? My favorite way to consume it is by using a flower vaporizer and I like it because it is better on the lungs and the flavor I get out of it is incomparable. I use a G-Pen Elite if I am on the go or a Dr Dabber Switch if I am at home. What do you enjoy most about being a budtender? The thing I enjoy the most about being a budtender is all the different people I get to interact with. People from all walks of life consume cannabis on some level and I like the fact that one thing can bring so many different people together. If there was one thing you can change about the cannabis industry what would it be and why? One thing I would like to see change in the cannabis industry is the emphasis on waste. There is a lot of waste in this industry that I feel could be easily recycled and it would be awesome to see companies address that however they can. What do you consider the most difficult part about being a budtender? The most difficult part about being a budtender is how transient the workplace can feel. People come and go constantly. Whatchu been smoking on? I am smoking some MAC from GLP and dabbing some Dark Phoenix Rosin Jam. I highly recommend both.

Budtender of the Month

Reno

JONATHAN SHIMAMURA Budtender at JADE RENO Our Northern Nevada Budtender of the month is Jonathan Shimamura. We originally met at the Women in Cannabis Expo in Reno. Jonathan assisted us with our purchase from Jade Dispensary. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. He had us in and out of the dispensary in a timely fashion which is always appreciated. What’s your favorite topic to educate a customer on? My favorite topic to educate customers on is concentrates, and dabbing techniques. It's the way of consumption that people are least familiar with.

If there was one thing you can change about the cannabis industry what would it be and why? I would change the strictness of state compliance laws. They’re too many regulations that limit the potential for both the marijuana plant, and those who work with it. It’s possible to have order without ruining the integrity of the business. What do you consider the most difficult part about being a budtender? The hardest thing about being a budtender is finding the right item for a customer who reacts or is sensitive to different products, and has had bad experiences in the past. You must have patience and understanding. Whatchu been smoking on? I like concentrates, mostly rosin.

What have you learned about cannabis from a customer? I’ve learned that everyone reacts differently from different products, and that what works for someone might not for someone else. It's good to be knowledgeable about the products I sell. What’s something you didn’t expect or something that surprised you when you first got in the industry? I didn’t expect so many customers to rely on my recommendations/ knowledge about products. What’s the most interesting THC product you’ve sold or seen in a dispensary? A THC inhaler. For customers that are new to cannabis, it's great for dosing and it's discreet. If you had to describe your budtending style in three words, what would they be? Calm, Cool, and Collected. What's your favorite way to consume and why? I enjoy dabbing the most. It’s quick, more effective than a standard bong rip, and you can taste all the flavors.

Daren & Hazelynn Miller

>>> By Josh Kasoff

Promoting the Love of Cannabis to All anines, they’re everyone’s best friend. Big and small, fast and slow, constantly excited or total couch potatoes. They can be an absolutely brilliant dog or a pup that may not be the brightest but love unconditionally, regardless. They’re used for hunting and other outdoor activities, for first responders and search and rescue parties, as service animals for a variety of conditions and a vital part of any family unit that they’re a part of. They’re the bestest of best friends that almost any human being could ask for and provide an enormous amount of emotional support in ways few other pets can. With the increasing number of people forgoing traditional parenthood (for a laundry list of reasons) and instead raising a pet, dogs have become on the same familial pillar as human children. They’re far less of a financial commitment than human children and you don’t have to worry about your dog hating you in fifteen years! The almost universal adoration for doggos has been extending into the cannabis industry in a unique way, one that has

30

become advantageous for the brands that utilize that way. While many pet owners love creating an Instagram account for their pooch detailing all the humorous poses and adventures that their furry friend goes on, one Vegas pet owner has turned his dog’s naturally hilarious and attention-loving demeanor that comes with being an English bulldog, as an excellent way to showcase the cannabis brands he works for. As opposed to an energetic brand ambassador that could represent the brand who’s a normal human, cannabis professional and photographer Daren Miller with Tsunami Extracts and Mint CBD has taken quite the different yet adorable avenue towards getting the brands their due recognition in the Las Vegas cannabis community. With over a decade of experience with cannabis, Miller is rather adept in the subject of the crop that brings us all together. At least all the cool people.

Miller’s introduction to cannabis is one of a deeply familial connection. Miller credits his step-sister, drug reform advocate and The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies’ Director of Communications and Events, Betty Aldworth, for showing him the “compassionate” side to the cannabis industry and the plant in general. Aldworth instilled in Miller the true medical value and wonders of cannabis and that ultimately, it’s a plant that has great medicinal properties. “When I was fourteen, I had a real close experience with my grandmother who was told she was given two weeks to live. The family intervened and pulled her out of that care and we put her on a THC/ CBD regimen and lived two years after that.” Miller recollected. Before he could even drive or vote, Miller became an ardent advocate for medical cannabis. Phone banking, telling his fellow constituents about the same lessons he learned through his grandmother’s lifeextending benefits with cannabis. Through the years, Miller became increasingly wellversed in the many facets of cannabis. While running his own contracting

Nevada's Original Cannabis Resource // Since 2014

COMMUNITY

company at the age of 23, Miller severely broke his back. Requiring an intensive fourteen-hour surgery and the re-learning of how to walk properly, Miller soon began receiving even more experience with the vast medicinal side of cannabis. Particularly with CBD, Miller found it frustrating that there was shamefully little in the form of standards of excellence or even regulation when it came to the products he was researching. “It drove me to seek out those companies that were doing it correctly. A lot of companies weren’t even saying what they were putting out or any regulating agency to make sure there are certificate of analysis so it was disgusting and I really wanted to basically partner with a company that’s doing it correctly to be able to spread my story and help hundreds of other people that have similar experiences to what I have.” Miller told. A jack of all trades, Miller has covered every part of the seed to sale process over his years in the cannabis industry. Flower, harvest, trimming, extracting and every other position imaginable. Over the past three years, Miller has worked for Green Therapeutics, a cannabis company with a number of memorable and award-winning brands under its umbrella. Among those brands are Provision Vapes, GT Flower and the aforementioned brands that I met Miller while he was representing at the recent Budtender Awards-ran G4Live Conference at Mandalay Bay: Mint CBD and Tsunami Extracts. Part of the sales and marketing team, Miller is responsible for organizing and attending pop-ups at dispensaries across Nevada, tables at large conventions like Champs Trade Show, informing consumers about their range of quality products and ensuring that Green Therapeutics brands’ are remembered and purchased. Showcasing the power of their products and planting a memory of the brand in consumers’ heads is the ultimate

goal of the events and appearances that Miller plans. While Miller does agree that Las Vegas is an exciting city to work in and the economic benefits are tremendous, he argues that California cannabis still has a few advantages over Nevada cannabis. While cannabis use certainly existed in Sin City long before full adult-use legalization, most of the passion in seeing cannabis as a multi-layered and multiuseful plant beyond just “a drug” to feel funny from had been located primarily westward in The Golden State. With that concentrated passion along with passing and implementing their medical cannabis program years before Nevada, California may hold their advantage in cannabis for some time further. My semi-Libertarian mind is still rattling and deeply confused by writing this sentence, but California actually has lower taxes than another state. That one product tax that is lower in California than in Nevada is, of course, cannabis. Californians pay a simple 10 percent excise tax, where Nevada’s tax rate is 25 percent for both wholesale and retail. But Las Vegas has a trick up its sleeve, and that trick is over 40 million tourists a year. For all those canna-tourists venturing to Las Vegas for all types of adult indulgences, these millions of visitors undeniably give Sin City an advantage over any individual city in California. For a reason that remains inexplicable with Miller, the number sequence of “323” has always been a sequence that he included in his email as well as his personal Instagram account and other parts of his life that required a numerical sequence. Nor his birthday or any direct family members have the birthday of March 23rd, yet Miller always felt drawn to this number sequence. In a far less suspenseful fashion than Jim Carrey in The Number 23, the sequence of 323 would always appear in unexpected places in Miller’s life.

“It’s always been a series of numbers that’s popped up in my life very often. I’ve won a lot of random raffle giveaways with that number.” Four and a half years ago through a group of dog breeders in San Diego that a woman he had been dating at the time knew, Miller’s world as he knew it changed immensely and I’m sure he would say for the much better. Full spoiler alert- it’s a story worthy of an Animal Planet special on the most touching example of dog rescue and adoption into an exciting and glamorously popular life that few other dogs have lived. “They (the dog breeders) called her up and said that they had a litter of bulldog puppies born and one was stillborn.” Miller recollected. That’s correct. Despite this puppy now rocking an LED collar displaying her Instagram handle with an array of flower pendants across the biggest cannabis conventions in Nevada and even having an artsy painted portrait done of her, Hazelynn Miller was basically born dead. The breeders were prepared to dispose of the carcass as breeders with stillborn dogs unfortunately would have to, but she began twitching about an hour after her birth. Even more tragically, the barely alive Haze’s mother rejected her, wanting nothing to do with her. By wanting to at least give another attempt in finding a possible owner before they had to do the sadly inevitable, the breeders found the forever home for the doggo born into the most unfortunate of circumstances. “The girl was really unsure about this, and I was like…are you kidding me?!” Miller exclaimed. “Get out of bed! Let’s go! We’re getting a bulldog.” As we were speaking on this Monday evening in Chinatown, this tough little survivor was waddling around Miller’s workspace happily after a long day of work with her dad, making the traditional noises

31

Nevada's Original Cannabis Resource // Since 2014

that any bulldog owner or roommate would likely learn to love. Miller leaned over a bit to pet the consistently ecstatic bulldog that he’s provided the absolute best life for as he reminisced on that day in 2017. “Then we drove all the way down there and picked up this little brown ball of fur,” he laughed. “All in all, I’ve always been a big dog person and I wasn’t going to turn down the opportunity of wanting to save one.” The day of Haze’s birth that this all transpired on, was March 23rd, 2017. The 323 sequence that has followed Miller around finally presented itself in its most meaningful form. “The universe gave me a sign.” Miller said. “This dog was meant to be yours.” During his time in Southern California attending the local cannabis-related events after Haze’s miraculous birth and adoption, Miller’s group of fellow cannabis connoisseurs he worked with at the time all simultaneously owned bulldogs. “Everyone at the seshes knew us for our bulldogs.” Miller described. “So we’d get there and set up our booth and let all four of them loose and they’d run around and they’d sort of run the spot. That’s when Haze really got her first experience in convention life. She was just a puppy at the time so she didn’t wander off as much as the big bullies. But I started to bring her to events and started to notice how big of a group would always be at our table. We grew mediocre weed at best so I know it couldn’t have been that. So there had to be a separate factor to this equation that was working.” In a way that attractive human brand ambassadors couldn’t mimic, Miller realized how vital lovably cute dogs would be in the atmosphere of cannabis marketing. Advertising and marketing in an industry still in its infancy can often be unexplainable at times, but Miller’s four-legged and constantly smiling brand ambassador has been attending cannabis conventions for well over two years now. “These bulldogs are marketing gurus.”

32

Starting with the 2018 Champs Trade Show, it’s easy to find Ms. Haze galloping across the convention center. Similar to almost all bulldogs, she’s quite the attention magnet. Regardless of an attendee’s relationship with the cannabis industry, they’ll almost always have to say hello to arguably the best brand ambassador in Vegas. “Haze and I were able to make a pretty lucrative career in sales. She has definitely worked her way into the community’s heart.” Her nickname, Heady Haze, is a reference to the term “heady glass”, meaning the highest quality glass smoking pieces. Haze’s flower pendant bling collar has also increased significantly in size as well, with about six or seven pieces in total. During a pop-up at Silver Sage Wellness, Miller showed the general manager a picture of Haze and she recommended bringing Haze to his next pop-up. “I took her to my next pop-up and it was basically game over.” Miller recounted. “We had moved the most Mint CBD we ever had compared to any other pop-up I’ve done. Selling only CBD at a dispensary can be hard to do and being able to move that much product in a two-hour period with just this little bulldog really solidified the fact that she’s a marketing guru.” Unsurprisingly, Haze is quite the attention grabber. When Miller’s supervisors saw the sharp uptick in sales when he brought his funny fur child with him to pop-ups, they too realized the value of having such a unique mascot, one that strikes adoration in the heart of almost any cannabis consumer. “Their response was you’re not allowed to go to these events without her now. So she’s been able to work her way into my contract with GT and everyone at the office loves her. But she can be a bit of a distraction sometimes too.” he joked. Hijinks with Haze in the office are just hilariously delightful as the breed she comes from and certainly speaks to the underrated brilliance of bulldogs.

“When we’re at the corporate office, Haze always knows when it’s 11:45 because she will instinctively leave my side and start working her way around office to office looking for everyone’s lunches. Then after lunch when people want a little exercise, they’ll run down the hallway with her.” These exercises result in almost an hour of Haze doing those traditionally funny bulldog grunts, wheezes and snarls. But for which CBD brands he allows Haze to rep and be pictured with, Miller is a bit more hesitant and his hesitation comes down to the ingredients that some pet CBD brands put into their products and their harmful effects on the furry friends they’re supposed to protect. “Unfortunately, a lot of CBD companies like to use coconut MCT oil as their base in their tinctures and products because that’s what they use in all of their human tinctures and products. But MCT oil in large doses for dogs is harmful towards their pancreas. People are putting their dogs on long-term regiments with these products, so it’s something I won’t endorse or allow my pup to endorse either.” With the numerous awards that GT’s products have recently won such as two High Times Cannabis Cup awards and a couple Las Vegas Cannabis Awards, you can expect to see a lot more activities and pop-ups with their brands at dispensaries spanning Nevada. And anywhere that you can find Miller, you can easily find his fourlegged galloping mascot right by his side.

Feeling the stress of the end of the year nearing may have you a bit overwhelmed but crossing things off your to-do list now will help! Don’t worry about slowing your pace, everybody needs time to recalibrate. Having some Sleepy Time Cheeba Chews handy will help you recover. VIRGO (AUG 22 – SEPT 22) As Venus shifts into the earthy energy of Capricorn on the 5th, you’ll be getting noticed with the appreciation you deserve this month. With your ruling planet Mercury direct moving into Scorpio, your mind is sharp and your analyses will be on point as you’re able to cut through the fluff. Enjoying a stimulating strain like Pure Haze by Virtue will only encourage these higher thoughts! Others will take you more seriously and you may rise as a mentor for those around you. Spend quality time cherishing those you love. You’ll easily find the words to help comfort and make them feel special. LIBRA (SEP 22 – OCT 23) You’re still riding a high from your birthday season last month which may have caused some indulgent spending. In the beginning of the month around the Scorpio new moon on the 4th you may receive a surprise gift, win, or reimbursement. Try to stay on budget so you can finish the year with less financial stress. The $48 quarters at Nuleaf are a great option to help! This month brings drama but you don’t mind, it’s one of your favorite things to consider every side to the story. You’ll be able to settle any disagreements and those you assist will be very grateful.

SCORPIO (OCT 23 – NOV 21) Scorpio season has you excitable and in a frisky mood as you enjoy a ride of transformation. The Scorpio new moon on the 4th is a great time to start fresh with a clean slate and recalibrate your goals. You don’t need to have all the answers just yet and likely will want to take your time to define a new direction. You communicate well this month and may find yourself sharing entertaining stories or laughs with others. Be cautious of too much honesty and cynicism as not everyone has your same sense of humor. Treat yourself to something magical like a delicious Tsunami Unicorn Poop live resin badder to celebrate! SAGITTARIUS (NOV 21 – DEC 21) Although you have been too busy caring about others to focus on yourself, take some mental health days this month to replenish. You may have some issues holding you back from enjoying close relationships so try to find time to work through these feelings for your own wellbeing. We recommend trying a reflective strain like Circle S’s Buffalo Soldier to help sort things out. Overall, you are feeling quite pleasant this month and have the potential to improve trust with friends and family if you avoid conflict. As the Sun moves into Sagittarius on November 21st, you’ll really feel aligned with the goals you set at the beginning of the year. CAPRICORN (DEC 21 – JAN 19) The new moon in Scorpio on the 4th heralds a social time for you. Followed by Venus moving into Capricorn on the 5th will have you feeling good and wanting to pamper yourself. For an earthy indulgence pickup an eighth of Grower’s Circle’s Topanga Canyon. You’ll be quite content especially as you appreciate the little thing that you may have been too busy to notice before. Things come easily and now is a good time to take advantage of networking opportunities. A business solution will work its way out by the end of the month. AQUARIUS (JAN 19 – FEB 18) You may be beating yourself up for not reaching your end of year goals, but don’t let it get you down! There is a strong presence of fixed energy this month sparking power struggles and stubbornness so try to be easy on yourself and others. Keep a pack of Smokiez Blackberry gummies around to take the edge off and go with the flow.

On the other hand, this fixed energy also provides a sense of tenacity and determination. It’s okay to be less social and focused on yourself more. Try to be mindful of the Taurus full moon partial lunar eclipse on the 19th which may have you feeling exasperated. PISCES (FEB 18 – MAR 20) The new moon in Scorpio on the 4th in your solar ninth house will have you thinking about distant friends, family, and those who you haven’t connected with in a while. Scorpio season heightens your emotions of gratitude. You find yourself pondering how you can show those you love that they are special as you plan holiday gatherings and shop for thoughtful gifts. You’ll even find it easier to connect with those you have differing opinions from. You may be overwhelmed at work but try to prioritize your health. Try some of the long lasting 400mg CBD BaskIn Wellness Cream to help you feel your best!

one & done WITH huni badger Get the coolest gift for your favorite stoner this holiday season! Love dabs? The Huni Badger is an easy-to-use portable device that provides heavy hitting dabs in the palm of your hands within mere seconds. Powered by rechargeable 18650 batteries, dabs are ready to go without the hassle of a torch. Not only does this device provide quick, convenient dabs, but it also supports different bubblers -- some of which have spill-proof water diffusion technology. This powerful device comes included with a 3-year warranty, covering the Huni Badger core device. Repairs are handled in-house at the Las Vegas headquarters and swiftly returned within a few days. The Huni Badger features a straight through design from the end of the tip to the mouthpiece and a ceramic straw that heats up dabs to the perfect temperature within 10 to 30 seconds. Most users enjoy using the High Temp HuniTip, which heats up to optimal temperatures in roughly 10 seconds. The convenience of waiting just a couple of seconds until the perfect dab is ready is unbeatable. Those who like to indulge in the taste of their concentrates would enjoy using the Low Temp HuniTip, as it takes roughly 30 seconds to heat up, bringing out the flavor of the extracts. Another unique feature of the Huni Badger is that it is completely electric. It uses an 18650 rechargeable battery, which can easily be swapped out to keep the sesh going. Keeping spare charged batteries can come in clutch when planning to have prolonged seshes, or a day full of dabbing. Typically, a fresh fully charged battery can last approximately 20-40 sessions. Over time, the battery will lose power and need to be recharged, just like any other electronic device. No butane? No problem. By using rechargeable batteries, you are saving on the cost of torches,

along with being more environmentally friendly. The Huni Badger builds for the long term, so we need to play an active role in helping create a low carbon future. The buildup of carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases like methane and nitrous oxide is already impacting climate systems across the planet. Going electric with your dabs is a benefit along with minimizing your overall carbon footprint. Join us on our journey to sustainability! The build quality of the Huni Badger is made up of premium material with a sleek finish. Available in seven colorways - Black, Pearl White, Royal Blue, Crimson Red, Candy Purple, Calico (orange and black), and the latest release: Nitro Green. Customize your Huni Badger even more with 3M wraps, such as the classic Black Carbon Fiber, or the rugged Badger Skin that features a tactical grip vinyl. The Huni Badger has a heavyweight, premium feel compared to other devices made up of plastic. Each device is covered under Huni Badger’s 3-year warranty, no matter where it is purchased from. No receipt is needed. If you happen to run into any issues or have any concerns, simply contact Huni Badger customer service via e-mail (admin@ hunibadger.com) or social media and one of the team members will quickly respond! customers. Whether it is asking for tips and tricks on how to effectively use the Huni Badger, or technical support questions, the Huni Badger team will have you covered. You can find tutorials on how to clean the device and its accessories on Huni Badger’s YouTube and IGTV (Instagram TV). There are also tutorials on how to effectively maximize your vapor. Even though the device is backed up by its 3-year warranty, there are also videos that demonstrate users on how to troubleshoot their device to try and repair the issue themselves. If more assistance is needed, users are more than welcomed to ship their devices in for an inspection under warranty. The Huni Badger is growing its online presence through different platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and Discord. The Huni Badger is community driven -- Huni Badger fans can interact with each other and learn more about the product, while meeting people of similar interests. This all-in-one device comes in handy when the adventure calls for a quick smoke break. With Huni Badger’s innovation, people can bring concentrates along their journey to enjoy, whether it's a vacation on the beach, commuting on a bicycle through the city, or traversing through nature. The Huni Badger has released multiple accessories that add to its versatility, such as the Big Badger Case, and the Huni Pouch. Each made to make transporting around the Huni Badger easier. Use the Huni Badger for quick, heavy hitting dabs, and allow it to elevate you to new heights.

CULTURE & CANNABIS The Hustler Mythical Kush 1 Gram Infused Gold Preroll

All that glitters just may be gold. The Hustler is delicious. I love the smooth feel and the tri-level packaging and metallic foil paper make for classy looks and bomb toking. Once I hit it, I could instantly tell the gold was wrapped around some fire weed. My high was relaxed and euphoric, consistent with those Exhale x Culture & Cannabis vibes.

Typically, most fruit lozenges seem to be hybrids, but these have some CBD added so I'm over here chillin' like a villain named Matt Dillon. Wait a minute, does Matt Dillon ever play a villain?! I love a good high CBD flower, and Fleur has yet to disappoint on my quest for the ideal strain. The pinene really comes through in Sin CBD’s flavor profile and effect as your anxieties ease and your lungs open up, taking in cannabidiol goodness. A lower THC content makes for a lighter psychoactive experience. Myrcene relaxes the body and mind. SINfully awesome!

One of the siblings of OG Kush, the award winning OG18 has grown up to be a serious contender. Always high in limonene with that bitter-twang that we've come to love and anticipate. Sorry, I was sorta blindfolded, tied up, and tossed into the back of a metallic green Suburban with a wig-wearing wild animal by the name of Durban Dawg. I’ve already said too much.

KABUNKY KLEAR Blue Widow Disposable Vape Pen

What a lip-smacking dandy flavor. It has to be a cross between White Widow and Blue Dream. You don’t see too many White Widow products these days, but I can remember about 10 years ago, when White Widow was the crowd favorite. It was yester-years “Cookies”. It’s nice to taste it again. The terpene entourage will ease tension and stress, but it won’t fix your hair that’s a mess. You just won’t care anymore until it wears off.

This Kablunty gave me an uplifting, functional high. These are essential for a quick rip on a road trip or sneaking off on a smoke break. The kief was present and intensified my high. Exploring

with Sarah Jane

By: Sarah Jane Woodall aka Wonderhussy A Veg as-based adventuress exploring weird shit in the desert...and beyond

a new aesthetic I called “Ho Nouveau,” which involved a lot of spandex, a lot of sequins, and a lot of pink — including my car.

I recently celebrated a milestone: the 21st anniversary of my move to Las Vegas. This isn’t just any old anniversary — 21 is a special number in Vegas: being dealt 21 means you’ve hit it big! You beat the house at their own game!! YOU’RE RICH!! When I look back at my 21 years here…well, I’m certainly not rich, and I wouldn’t even say I hit it medium, let alone big. But I have no criminal record, debt or addictions…and I still have my original breasts, lips and hair. So, in Vegas terms I guess you could say I broke even!

I wasted no time upon arrival, securing a tidy 1-bedroom across the street from Palace Station for $560/month, then hitting the streets to find a job. My original plan was to be a cocktail waitress at Caesars Palace, but back then, they didn’t just hire chicks for being cute; it was more of a merit-based grind of working your way up the union ranks from midweek graveyard at the El Cortez, until one of the dinos at Caesars croaked to make way for fresh blood.

When I first announced my decision to move to Vegas back in October 2000, most of my friends and relatives thought I was nuts: “Vegas is a second-chance town — why are you moving there?!” I guess it seemed an unlikely choice for someone with a newlyminted art degree, a well-used library card and an intact hymen. Why on earth would I move to Vegas, of all places?

So I had to settle for lesser jobs, and in my 21 years in Vegas I did them all: go-go dancer, movie extra, cartoon mascot, camera girl, cigarette girl, Hooters girl, showgirl, convention model, nude model, fetish model…and now, YouTuber. Basically, anything that did not make use of my college degree, or allow me any measure of job security. But I sure had fun!

Now you have to remember, this was Y2K — things were different. Vegas was still gross and dumpy — a place where you could get 99¢ shrimp cocktails and $2.99 steak and eggs while oxygen tank-toting grannies chain-smoked at the penny slots and busted old cowboys cried over their Crown Royal as some shitty lounge singer butchered “Solitaire.” A place where you could sit down at a nightclub without mortgaging your house! Times were different — and I loved it.

My first year in Vegas, I went to a different 24-hour coffee shop every night after work for chicken-fried steak, then burned the calories by dancing my pink hot pants off at all the clubs and lounges in town. And over the years, a pattern established itself: eat, drink and be merry…for tomorrow we get old and ugly!!!

Nothing anyone said could dissuade me; I found Vegas, in all its tackiness, grittiness, fakeness and realness, uniquely fascinating. And so it was that I embarked on my first, and greatest, Nevada adventure: becoming a Las Vegan. At the time, I had a very particular idea of what the ultimate in Vegas glamour looked like, and I set out to achieve it in advance of my move. I threw away all my frumpy old hippie clothes and cultivated

52

Nevermind that I already owned a sensible Nissan Sentra — in my mind, the ultimate Vegasmobile had to be fuel inefficient, American-made, and as square as the silent majority. So I traded that milquetoast 4-banger for some magic beans in the form of a grossly impractical and obscenely oversized 1986 Lincoln Town Car, which I had painted the color of PeptoBismol. It had a white top, a white interior, ashtrays full of candy and a leaky oil pan. And the very next day I set sail across the Mojave Desert!

I once had a fortune cookie at TAO that read “Those who say YES have more fun,” and I took it to heart. Drinks after work? YES! Dancing at the swingers’ club? SURE! Monday Night Football at the titty bar? WHY NOT?? I swilled rotgut in dive bars, champagne in high limit rooms, cocktails in a converted laundry room speakeasy and bourbon at a biker bar where Manson Family lookalikes screamed obscenities through megaphones. I threw back boozy coffee drinks on Mt. Charleston and boozy slushies on Lake Mead. And vodka cranberries everywhere.

Life was good. Party all day, hustle all night — or vice-versa; it didn’t matter. As long as I made my monthly nut, well, there was nothing else to worry about. Stuff like goals and artistic fulfillment and the meaning of life — I successfully kept those black dogs at bay through a strict regimen of drinking, dancing and professionally pandering to the lower-brow tastes of middle America. But after a while, no amount of booze could stop self-awareness from creeping in, and I saw myself as a pinball aimlessly bouncing around the blinking, flashing neon maze of the Vegas Strip from gig to gig, party to party, one fun thing to another. $100! Ding! $500 DING!! $1000! DING DING DING! I was racking up points, and desperately working the flippers to avoid the void. And then, gradually, my interests shifted. I’m not sure what started it, but I began spending more time exploring the rest of Nevada, outside Vegas — because it turns out there’s a whole state outside the city limits! The pinball game lost its allure. And finally, one day I let go of the controls, and let gravity roll me between the flippers, down the hole, and out of the whole glittering machine. Out past the last Dotty’s and the last Del Taco, into the desert…finally coming to a stop somewhere just outside Death Valley. From my new digs, I can still see the machine’s midnight glow, and feel its distant hum. And I still have a few quarters left, so I could insert coin and be right back in the game any time I want — which might be fun to do…or even necessary, at some point. But it’s been 21 years, y’all…21 years!! You know what that is in Vegas years?! Ages!!! And for now, I’m OK just toasting my 21 and walking away from the table. They say you gotta know when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em — and though I might never be happy with what I have I figure it’s prudent to cash out while the cashing’s good.

Sure, I’m still as artistically unfulfilled, unlucky in love and most definitely not-rich as ever — but who ever got rich at blackjack, anyway? Even the good casinos only pay 3 to 2. And like I said earlier, I’m felony-free, addiction-free and debt-free — and still have my original breasts. I’ll take that as breaking even. I may be flat busted, but after 21 years in Vegas, at least I’m not broke!

Daily Dose

CBD EXPLAINED Cannabidiol, the most popular cannabinoid, is also the most misunderstood.

I’m a whole plant cannabis girl, firm in my belief that the entire plant is needed for optimal health and homeostasis in the body - including the psychoactive THC. But I’m asked regularly about CBD and its many variants. Do a simple search online looking for CBD products and you’ll be more confused than not in finding what will work for you. Buy a bottle of CBD oil from a drug store over the counter, and you might just be getting snake oil with very little CBD in the mix. As detailed in last month’s Daily Dose, the cannabis plant is a superfood, with more than 400 compounds all working together for the greater good of feeding the human (and animal) body, strengthening the immune system, while addressing all of our biological systems. Yet, we’ve only identified about 100 cannabinoids in the plant to date. In 1940, British chemist Robert S. Cahn discovered the first cannabinoid, cannabinol, or CBN. Just two years later in 1942, American chemist Roger Adams found cannabidiol, or what we commonly know now as CBD. Adding to the research, Professor Raphael Mechoulam identified the stereochemistry of CBD in 1963, then tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC in 1964. As a footnote, in 1992, Dr. Lumir Hanus of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, with American researcher Dr. William Devane, discovered the endocannabinoid anandamide, leading to the full discovery of the endocannabinoid system or eCS, the biological system that accepts and processes plant-based beneficial compounds in the body.

56

BY SHARON lETTS Plants just don’t fit the formula. The process of patenting formulations didn’t begin until the late 1930s, making the pharmaceutical industry relatively new and experimental. Prior to its development, all we had were plants and the practice of Apothecary - or the use of plants for medicine. Pharmaceutical companies can’t patent and own a plant, and why plants must be broken down to formulate. The practice decimated Apothecary, with the criticisms of the day the plant formulations were too inconsistent. I agree, plant formulations are inconsistent. Because no two plants are alike, and no formulations I’ve ever made from a whole plant at home have been the same.

But, does this mean they are less efficient? On the contrary, every batch I’ve made of whole plant cannabis oil, for instance, has the same outcome, no matter how different the batch. Why? Because all the compounds of the plant are in there and they all work together in the same way with our endocannabinoid system.

History of CBD The late Lawrence Ringo was a longtime cannabis farmer in Southern Humboldt County in Northern California, where many genetics of the plant were and still are being hybridized.

Isolating compounds in the cannabis plant is nothing new, but with the discovery of the eCS we now know how the compounds work with our biological systems.

Ringo suffered from bone on bone spinal pain for years, smoking daily to ease his pain. But he didn’t want to be high all day long, so he began saving low THC plants and hybridizing them with other low THC plants until he found a cultivar that didn’t get him too high, but quelled his pain.

Today, researchers are breaking down myriad combinations of cannabinoids, terpenes, and more from the cannabis plant, in an effort to follow the Federal Drug Administration’s (FDA) requirements to provide a formula for patenting a pharmaceutical for market.

When the cultivar was tested it came in with low THC as predicted, but with a surprising amount of CBD, measuring in at around 14 percent. This, they said, was a truly medicinal cultivar of cannabis, with Ringo stating he brought it back down to God’s plant - as the original plant had only four or five percent THC at best.

The research is also being conducted to see just what compounds are most effective for different ailments, but until we fully understand each compound versus the plant as a whole, I’ll be a whole plant devotee.

The plants were brought to Denver and became what we know as Charlotte’s Web, a low THC (less than three percent THC), with a high amount of CBD or cannabidiol, able to treat ailments and symptoms with little head high.

Then, the madness came.

Isolating CBD We in the cannabis community who are serious cannabis patients know that the difference between treating symptoms and putting an ailment into remission has everything to do with using the whole plant, not one compound thereof. The same can be said for the isolation of cannabidiol or CBD alone. The compound is supported by all the other compounds in the plant for optimum efficacy. Taking the CBD compound from the plant may have some benefits, but there’s just no comparing what’s referred to as “full spectrum” or whole plant. While a CBD isolate may be a good choice for someone just entering into the world of healing with cannabis, the range of ailments helped or symptoms only, is far less than the whole kit-and-kaboodle, so to speak. Cost Factor: Isolate vs. Full Spectrum The cost factor in making a formulation with full spectrum CBD compared to an isolate CBD is notable, as the process in isolating the compound is extensive. A good CBD isolate in powder form can cost upwards of $850 a kilogram; whereas full spectrum CBD plant material or biomass, can be a little more than $200 a pound.

THC or CBD, Whole Plant for Me As said, the difference between taking an isolated CBD or full spectrum, is the difference between treating symptoms or putting an ailment into remission. As just one example, using CBD during cancer treatments will help quell negative symptoms of chemo or radiation, but using whole plant - especially whole plant, high in THC - will actually treat the cancer and the negative effects of the treatments, while strengthening your immune system and addressing all of your biological systems for homeostasis and optimal health. Author’s note: I used whole plant cannabis oil to put breast cancer into remission, with no surgery, chemo or radiation. If I had chosen to use just CBD with traditional treatments, it would have helped quell pain and aid in sleep, but it’s THC that kills cancer cells, while stopping waste-away, giving an appetite. At around three percent THC, in my mind, it’s worth it to take the whole plant and get used to any psychoactive response you might have with the trace THC. With the CBD to THC ratio products common now it’s easier to choose your level of CBD to THC. Do your homework, talk to your budtender and know what you are getting with confidence.

Let's Talk Tolerance, Overconsumption & Abuse Awareness

>>>>>

More than ever, cannabis has gained momentum in recent years. Specifically, after some states have legalized cannabis. We are well aware that at this moment in this Country, there is a “green rush” occurring. Many investors (especially first-time cannabis industry investors) are extending their arms, diving right in, just to get in the pot (pun intended). Although I highly support legalization, I’m sure we can all agree that legalization was rushed. There are many factors that play a role in the success and fluidity of cannabis legalization, that was not well thought out. Patients as a priority, malpractice, consumption, tolerance, allergens, pre-existing medical conditions, product safety, reliability, and consistency are just some of the topics that were neglected when fully legalizing cannabis in the states. Yet, the majority of these issues continue to be neglected. Tolerance plays a significant role in the abuse. There is not enough focus in this industry when it comes to the proper dosage. Although the state has given purchasing limits and has also created restrictions on milligrams per gram in edibles, 10mg is not everyone’s dosage. Some people metabolize edibles differently which is why they need a higher amount of mgs/g to feel relief. Some people may be immune to edibles, or at least have an exceptionally high tolerance to cannabis. This is why some researchers have this hypothesis: people with an unusual variation of key liver enzymes could be too efficient at processing THC when ingested. There are many possible outcomes as to why this occurs in some individuals. Some of the possibilities include high-causing metabolites that become inactive waste product before the active form can enter the brain or bloodstream. The individual's body is basically breaking it down so fast that it doesn’t have the opportunity to create the psychoactive effect. Another hypothesis that may be possible is that the receptor that communicates with cannabis, may

60

have a signaling issue. That receptor may not work just like the receptor in others. Dopamine synthesis capacity or reduced dopamine transporter (DAT) may also play a role as possibilities as to why this happens. There are many possibilities as to why metabolism/ receiving of edibles varies amongst individuals. There is much research that needs to be done before we have the adequate information to determine each individual’s true dosage. Since they legalized cannabis quickly without adequate research, we are all guinea pigs of our own research trying to determine how much is right for each of us. It’s always best to start low and slow, and increase from there if necessary. It is always recommended to wait 1-2 hours prior to increasing your dosage. If you’re new to edible cannabis consumption, it is highly recommended that you start at 5mg/g or 10mg/g depending on your body weight. The state of Nevada’s restrictions of edible production is capped out at 100mg per item. There are strict regulations that require production facilities to dose each cannabis item in doses of 10mg/g (100mg/g per package). This is a general dose for most, although people who are sensitive to metabolizing edibles like I am, take 5mg/g. The only time I’ll take a 10mg edible is when I am going to stay home for the night, before bed. Whereas, I personally know individuals who can take 100mg easily in the middle of the day. Every person is wired differently so your adequate dosage is truly dependent on your body. This also goes for flower, concentrates, and every type of cannabis product in the market. I encourage you all, if you haven’t already, to find your proper dose. If you have exceeded those limits, and it takes a lot of cannabis to provide relief, I highly recommend that you incorporate CBD with your consumption. If you like edibles, try a 1:1 for a while. If you like flower, try using hemp (CBD) flower. I enjoy mixing half and half in my bowls or joints of 1:1 THC:CBD flower. If that is not available, find strains that have high CBD content in them. This also goes

for extracts/ concentrates. There are products in the market like CBD Dabs that are wonderful for scaling back THC. My favorite nightcap before bed is having a 1:1 dab. I prefer to mix THC extracts with Canna Hemp’s CBD Dabs, as it assists insomnia providing a good night’s rest. I generally use the size of a half grain of rice per dab of THC. When I mix 1:1 THC:CBD I tend to use the size of a half rice grain, of each. When you try a new prescription ordered by your primary caregiver, upon picking up your medication, the pharmacist is required to discuss the risks, disseminate drug safety issues, and elaborate the proper dosage for the medicine prescribed. This is not happening in legal dispensaries. The honest truth is that very few budtenders are educated enough to assist patients with various medical conditions. One thing I’ve been extremely proud of while being an educator in the cannabis industry is that a large portion of our Las Vegas Budtenders have a deep passion for assisting patients and strive to obtain knowledge to self-improve and to better help people. Some budtenders obtain the basic knowledge, yet, there is far more in-depth information that every person assisting individuals who seek medicinal relief of cannabis should know. Unfortunately, there aren’t any requirements/levels of education when it comes to dispensing cannabis, and this is one of the biggest problems we face in this industry. For instance, upon walking into a dispensary, there are vital questions that are not being asked. It’s not their fault, it’s the system that was created that is to blame. There should be “Practitioners” or “Pharmacists” who are qualified to ask questions such as, “Do you have any preexisting conditions or are you currently taking any medication that may interact with cannabis?” This is just the baseline of conversation that should be occurring when purchasing cannabis products. There should be a state-run program where budtenders receive credited

certifications that enables them the ability to assist patients with an increase in wage. Where only these certified individuals are allowed to dispense cannabis to patients/consumers. In general, medication safety and precautionary information are extremely important to prevent adverse reactions, overdoses, and death. Although cannabis science has proven that you cannot overdose and die by using it, you can still over-consume cannabis. This brings me to the topic of this discussion- are we abusing cannabis? I know I have on many occasions in my lifetime. I tend to stop and think before I consume it nowadays and ask myself, “Are you medicating or abusing it?” In case you’re not aware, there is a difference. When we are dependent on something, this is technically called an addiction. Cannabis has been proven to be non-habit forming. Although there is great potential for abuse and dependency, with pretty much anything. So, awareness and acceptance are the most important steps with cannabis consumption. Ask yourself what you are using it for, what are you getting from it, and if you could possibly be abusing it. This will assist you with determining the awareness of your consumption. Truth is, all of us are wired differently, so sometimes it may not be about how much we’re consuming, but more about how our individual body is wired to receive cannabis. Hey, this conversation isn’t easy, it’s actually not discussed often, if ever. I’m bringing this to the surface because it’s necessary. Especially with the moves that we’re making in research. This subject will arise during research proposals, law-making and will help determine our access in the future. So the more awareness that we have on this subject, the further we will go with the medicinal future of cannabis as a treatment and the replacement of addictive, harmful pharmaceuticals. If you are seeking to reduce your THC tolerance and incorporate CBD into your consumption, I highly recommend the hemp flower cultivator 24th West Organics that is out of Arizona. They have high-quality CBD flower and products that I find extremely reliable and affordable. If you’re interested in CBD Dabs, you can easily order them online at CannaHemp.com. COOKING WITH CANNABUSHI

An Infusion Series

By Chris Rodarte

DYNAVAP SPECIAL

What’s up? Man, am I glad to be back. This month we are doing something really cool. A first for myself, that’s for sure! I had the wonderful opportunity to talk with the guys over at DYNAVAP Devices recently during the Champ’s tradeshow. They asked me to make them a sushi roll using ABV. An opportunity I was very thankful for... wait, “Dankful’. This month’s recipe is something easy to make. Plus, it will leave you quite infused using “already been vaporized” weed that has been leftover from devices that vaporize or, in the case of DYNAVAP Devices, thermally extract. DYNAVAP’s, versatile devices make enjoying your favorite flower incredibly convenient. If you can roast a marshmallow, you can use a DYNAVAP Device. Check them out over at www.dynavap. com. And, use my code ‘CannaBushi’ at checkout for a great discount! So, what do you do with your leftovers? Well, I’m glad you asked! I hope you aren’t just throwing it away! Let’s get to the recipe and put that ‘ABV’ to good use… INGREDIENTS Betty Crocker ‘No-Bake’ Cookie Dough Bites 1 lb. Fondant 1/4 lb. Marshmallows 1/3 Cup cream cheese 2 Tbsp ABV butter 1 Cup Confectioner’s sugar (if you have followed my recipes, you can find a way to make your own but infused) 2 Tbsp ABV food shortening 1 Bottle of silver color mist food shimmering spray 1 Pkg. Black sparkle gel 1 Tube of green decorating icing DIRECTIONS First you want to create your ‘ABV’ butter for the recipe so I recommend using a Magical Butter Machine. I used their own recipe at magicalbutter.com to make butter and doubled up for a stronger recipe. Just because you have ‘leftovers’ of ABV doesn’t mean it should be a waste! Next, you will want to put the fondant, and marshmallows, in the microwave for 15 second intervals and make sure to mix them together while warm. If it seems a little sticky,

64

add some of the sugar a little at a time until you get a nice fondant. (side note: you can use a little infused oil during this step for an extra kick) This is where it gets incredibly easy. We are going to take the no-bake cookie dough, the cream cheese, and the ABV butter in a bowl. Place in the microwave for two 15 second intervals. Mix thoroughly, until you get a nice dough. It kneads it! Place your dough into the fridge and grab your fondant. I kept a small damp microfiber on hand to keep my cutting board wet. You can totally use a buttercream or Acetate sheets to keep a grasp of the fondant. Grab a rolling pin and spread the fondant to an 8”x10” sheet, roughly around ⅜” in thickness creating a ‘fondant nori’ of sorts. Place on a sheet of wax paper or clear plastic acetate. Thus will make it easier to roll with. With the fondant on your cutting board, place the no bake cookie dough you created in the center and lengthwise. Grab the edges of the fondant and begin to ‘roll over’ and encapsulate the dough. Using a Makisu, firmly press so it creates a sushi roll. Make sure you pack the edges in and cut off a two inch piece and place it to the side. Cut the rest into 7 more one inch pieces/slices. Grab some leftover fondant and create a ‘vapcap’ to make it look like the DYNAVAP device. Using your silver food spray, be sure to spray paint the roll evenly. Even the cap you just created. Now it’s starting to look like something.

Next, make some final touches by adding ‘dabs’ of green icing to replicate the packed bowl of fresh greens. Add an ‘M’ to the top and well, we just made a fun, easy to use dessert sushi roll that looks like a DYNAVAP Device! I hope you enjoyed making it as much as I enjoyed creating for you all. Some really cool things are in the works all my stoner friends...like really cool, so stay tuned. Now let me get back to the grind. Shoot For The Stars. Chase your Dreams.
