Setting the Standard for the Nevada Cannabis Industry
Despite not having the never-ending influx of nearly 50 million tourists visiting the city every year for all sorts of revelrous and adult-centered activities, Reno and the accompanying Northern Nevada region have a noticeable number of advantages. From hosting the Silver State’s capital of Carson City and the thousands of people that visit on governmental affairs to having a considerable portion of the sprawling and naturally beautiful hills of Lake Tahoe and “The Biggest Little City in The World”, the region still receives millions of tourists and visitors. While Las Vegas has mammoth cannabis establishments such as Planet 13 or the Nuwu Cannabis Marketplace with the Sky High Lounge addition, Reno and Northern Nevada’s cannabis industry can certainly stand on its own. Even in the troubling fiscal year that the Silver State’s cannabis industry has undeniably undergone during FY2023, Washoe County dispensaries sold a total of over $114 million in total sales. In the much more prosperous year before that, Washoe County sold an even higher total of approximately $126 million in cannabis. One of the most celebrated and award-winning cannabis brands certainly responsible for getting Northern Nevada cannabis sales into the nine figure mark is Sol Cannabis. Locally owned and operated, Sol Cannabis cultivates, extracts, packages, sells and otherwise processes all their cannabis products entirely on site

in Washoe County. While it’s pretty obvious given the Spanish translation of the brand’s name, Sol Cannabis’ products are dedicated to being as sun-grown and organically free from harmful chemicals as possible. The brand has vast “environmentally conscious” hybrid greenhouses with radiant heating along with utilizing Northern Nevada’s far more preferable climate for cannabis growing when compared to their desert-dwelling Southern cousin. “I’ve lived in Northern Nevada for 52 years.” recollected Sol Cannabis owner Ed Alexander. “I ran a large utility infrastructure construction company called Western Nevada Supply before cannabis. To me, customer service is customer service. Whether you’re selling a widget or a pre roll, if you provide an exceptional level of customer service to your guests, it doesn’t matter what you’re selling.” To his credit, Alexander has been not only interested but was actively involved with the writing of Nevada cannabis regulations since before Governor Steve Sisolak was even in office. “I was really involved with the front end creation of the regulatory language through the ILAC (Independent Laboratory Advisory Committee) that existed back in the medical days, so I chaired that committee that was put together by Governor Sandoval. I believe
if you’re going to be involved in an industry, you need to be involved from start to finish. So wanting to make sure we had a well regulated and well organized industry has always been very important to me.” When it comes to the discussion of the advantages versus disadvantages of Northern Nevada and Sol Cannabis as a whole, Alexander had some very interesting and thought-provoking responses. “Planet 13 is perfectly suited for Las Vegas.” Alexander explained. “But it wouldn’t be perfectly situated for Denver, and Northern Nevada is much more Colorado than it is Las Vegas. And from my standpoint of operating in the north, it’s far more about extreme customer service, it’s catering to a smaller percentage of tourists. But we also have a ton of Northern California pressure from their traditional market. To me, the biggest thing that is inhibiting retail cannabis in Las Vegas is the inability to properly service incoming tourists because they can’t deliver to casinos and hotels. There’s so many things that the traditional market is capable of doing that the regulated market isn’t able to do. That’s a huge challenge in Southern Nevada.” Even though on paper it may not seem like an explainable advantage, the much smaller tourism industry and the dedicated local community of Washoe County allow opportunities for customer rapport building. Establishing friendly relationships with customers is certainly harder to build in a much more transient and transactional Vegas dispensary, especially those that are very tourist focused. “A lot of the people who shop at Sol are repeat guests. We can establish a dialogue with them, we can get to know them as people and what they’re trying to accomplish with cannabis.” At Sol Cannabis’ state of the art full-scale cultivation and production facility, they’re giving even an innovative cannabis destination as Nuwu and the Sky High Lounge a run for their money. “We sit on a five acre campus that’s been developed with a cannabis experience in mind. So upon arriving, you’ll notice that there’s 50,000 sq. ft of landscaping space where we host outdoor art, whether it’s music or various different types of community interaction. We have a 3,500 sq. ft deck that allows space as the industry continues to expand. Whether it’s consumption or the inclusion of culinary experiences. So from the outside, it’s a much different experience and upon entering, you’re greeted with a 10,000 sq. ft dispensary and floor-to-ceiling glass that allows you to look into our 40,000 sq. ft greenhouse and the commercial kitchens so our guests can see how their medicine is produced from start to finish.” Alexander and Sol designed their campus with thorough cannabis
education and enlightenment in mind while also serving as a massive stigma breaker when it comes to both the many societal stigmas that still exist in regards to cannabis consumers and the anti-cannabis propaganda campaigns of yesteryear. “New customers have usually been fed so much prohibition dialogue over the last fifty years that it’s hard for them to believe as benign as a plant can be as dangerous as we’ve been led to believe for the last half a century.” The combination of working with natural conditions and using green approaches to their cultivation results in a much more rich terpene profile according to the cultivators at Sol. “So many lighting manufacturers are trying to mimic the sun. And my philosophy is that why don’t we utilize the sun? I’m growing with a natural lightbulb in the sky instead of thousands of dollars in monthly electricity bills. At the end of the day, I wanted to get it correct instead of quick.” Because of decades of strict and failing prohibition, cannabis cultivation was sent largely indoors. Because the cultivators then gained a more precise control of the very detailed climate conditions, the potency and cannabinoid levels of cannabis exponentially increased and so did its possible medical benefits. Alexander was featured in a recent roundtable discussion revolving around the health and regulation of the Nevada cannabis industry. “To me, the importance of that is that we all have to be able to speak candidly about the health of the industry from both the regulatory side of the table and the industry side of the table. And oftentimes, the industry might view it as a sign of weakness if they say that they’re not doing as well as everyone thinks we’re doing. But without that transparency, the consumers and regulators don’t know the challenges that we’re facing. So open dialogue is always crucial.” Like the gorgeous Nevada sun gleaming over Lake Tahoe, Sol has a bright future ahead of them. Sol has plans to expand into the endlessly entertaining and sleepless land that is Las Vegas as well as surrounding Southern Nevada along with plans of being involved with consumption lounges in Northern Nevada. “We want to continue to foster relationships with our guests and with the industry because we all have to wrap our collective arms around each other to survive in this challenging time, so we have to quit pretending like each of us have some secret sauce and just continue an open dialogue of how we can help each other thrive.”

Even with a jam-packed schedule, Flair sat down with staff writer-atlarge
By Jason Walker
Jason Walker to answer a few questions for our readers. Jason Walker: Ric, it’s an honor to speak with you, I’ve been watching you wrestle for a long time. I’m a big fan! Before we get into cannabis, I have one wrestling question for your fans and our readers: how did you develop the Turnbuckle Flip? Did you ever get injured? Ric Flair: Oh thank you! So you like wrestling? That’s great. Ray Stevens was my inspiration for that move. I never got seriously hurt doing it, but I did hurt my neck a couple of times when I missed it. WWE’s ring was two feet bigger, and when you first go up there if your timing is off, you can jam your neck. But nothing bad, it’s just a matter of timing. JW: Speaking of timing, what inspired you to get into the cannabis space? Why now at this time in your career? RF: I had been approached several times about getting into cannabis and finally Chad Bronstein, who was my boat neighbor in Tampa asked me, ‘have you ever thought about doing this?’ I told him that I had thought about it in the past, but when I was originally asked about it, I couldn’t get involved with cannabis because I was working for WWE. Another part of it was that in the past, cannabis wasn’t as socially acceptable as it is now. It wasn’t a great way to represent a personal brand. But now, it’s a brand enhancement! The industry and the people in it are fabulous, and I couldn’t be in a better place. JW: We’ve talked to athletes about their struggles with pharmaceuticals, opioid addiction, and pain management considering how hard professional sports can be on the body. Have you dealt with anything like that?
20
RF: The only addiction I’ve ever had was to Xanax. And cannabis edibles got me off of Xanax. I started on Xanax in 1989 and I’ve gotten myself completely off of it a few times with the use of edibles.
A lot of the time it has to do with how hard I’m traveling. If I’m traveling all over the place, I might pop one just to sleep. The edibles, they just knock you out, man! JW: Are you a fan of flower? RF: Oh yea! I like smoking flower, too. It hits hard. When I smoke, I go into a time lapse. That one puff can make all the difference! I do it in moderation, I take edibles more often. JW: Let’s talk about Ric Flair Drip. What are your favorite products? RF: I like it all. We just came out with the Wooooo! Chews in a few different flavors. They’re great! Once I take an edible, it only takes about 10 minutes for me to fall asleep. I wake up half the time with a plate in my lap, a fork in one hand, knife in the other from the night before! These edibles work, trust me. JW: What is on the horizon for your cannabis line? RF: To be honest with you, these guys are working collectively with their teams on ten different things for me. Literally. We have all kinds of stuff coming out. I’m in the best place in my entire life. It’s the truth! And I have nothing but respect for these guys and all they do for me. I’m competitive and I want my brand to be competitive like everybody else. But I’m glad to have the best team in my corner while I’m doing it. JW: Ric, can I get a “Wooooo!”? RF: “Wooooo!!!!”

Chef Matt Stockard
>>> MANSION ON HIGH
by shwa laytart
I met Chef Matt Stockard eight years ago in Southern California at a small cannabis conference hosted by a canna-tech company and a half dozen canna-consultants. I was there to talk about my edibles company and Chef Matt was there catering the event with his company, Ganja Eats.We instantly bonded over food, and how exhausting and often ridiculous the cannabis industry is. Now, almost a decade later, all those companies around at that time, including the canna-tech, all the canna-consultants and my edibles company, have all gone the way of the dinosaur. But not Chef Matt. He’s powered through the canna-chaos, evolving and pivoting all while continuing to produce exquisite food, with and without cannabis infused. If you’re in California, you can now dose your meals with his infused Chef Matt oils and sauces.
evening dining on Chef Matt’s food is an opportunity for pure bliss.
Now I know what you’re thinking. What about us edible lovers out here in Las Vegas? Well, every year Chef Matt comes out for MJBizCon and curates a next level menu at what has become the best after party to attend, Mansion On High. Year after year, this after party completely sells out, and that’s because absolutely no one wants to miss partaking in Chef Matt’s provisions. From influencers to financiers and every head in between. Even those locals in the know, those of us that prefer to skip the canna-chaos of the expo, snatch up tickets as soon as they’re released. An
I must have had three plates of the risotto, but I stopped counting. Packed with a medley of mushrooms, thinly sliced shallots and a dash of white truffle oil, this risotto would give any Michelin star restaurant a run for their money. This year's menu also included wild boar sausage. I couldn't imagine that last year's meatballs could be topped, but the boar sausage was freakin’ magic and I hope Chef Matt brings it back next year.
This year's menu had some favorites from the past, and some wild fresh additions. Personally, I can never get enough of the grilled steak. This seasoned tender meat is placed on a warm pita bread with caprese salad and a drizzled sweet and tangy balsamic fig reduction that I’ve been dreaming about ever since. But I was quickly distracted by the vegan edamame dumplings, seared to perfection, with a hint of sesame oil and a chili sauce that’s just the right amount of heat to balance out the sweet. Topped with scallions to give a nice crunch to an otherwise soft and pillowy bite. These savory bonbons are everything you want in a dumpling and I could eat them by the handful.
The kitchen in the mansion is designed so that everyone can gather around to watch, snap photos while Chef Matt and his team prepare each delectable course. A spectacular performance of cooking alchemy for everyone to see up close. Edibles are truly my favorite way to consume large quantities of cannabis, but for those light weights, you can have your Chef Matt bites dosed to your desire. So then, for the rest of the evening, you can float around the mansion, dip your toes into the pool, and enjoy the whole vibe of the event without feeling like you’re coming on too hard. For now, Chef Matt’s dinner parties are only one night a year and I’m sad it’s now over, but I’m so thankful I got to stuff my face one more time with his stony oils and sauces and award-winning cuisine. To find out about next year's event before it’s over, follow Chef Matt on all his socials and get your tickets early. In the meantime, get your cooking and infusing tips by watching Chef Matt Stockard on YouTube and let your tastebuds and pleasure senses go crazy. Budtender of the Month Las Vegas
JOE WILLIAMS Cookies on flamingo Real and down to earth is the easiest way to describe Joe. He's not one to sugarcoat things so if you want to know the real deal Joe is the guy to go to. He's been holding it down at Cookies on Flamingo and has quickly become one of the go to budtenders. He's humble but confident which makes him a special budtender. What made you want to join the cannabis industry and what was your first industry job? Cannabis has been a huge part of my life since I was in seventh grade, from growing to selling it. I’m from Compton, California, and once I moved to Nevada it was a no-brainer to join the industry with my knowledge to help medical and recreational patients get the medicine they were looking for. I’m a Pisces so I’m a natural healer and a very caring person. My first legal industry job in Nevada was in security. I quickly switched to budtender and now I’m climbing that ladder of success in the industry legally! What kind of challenges have you faced that you didn’t expect when you first joined the cannabis industry? Compliance! Nevada is one of the most strict states when it comes to legal regulations. I’m so happy that starting in January, the legal purchase limit is being doubled. We needed to change that a long time ago. What’s your favorite topic you like to educate patients on? Terps! I love that terpene talk! I can go on all day with a patient about it, and about their endocannabinoid system and the science behind this amazing plant. If you had to give advice to a new budtender or someone looking to be a budtender, what would it be? Be patient, listen before you speak, and for people looking to be a budtender, educate yourself. This is a whole new world filled with cannabinoids, terps, genetics etc. There are classes you can take at UNLV, CSN, and Oaksterdam
24
University just to name a few. Some are a bit pricey but, knowledge is power. How do you stay up to date and informed on new products? I’m super tapped in with cultivations and on social media. So many new products coming out and a lot of them from The Growers Circle that are about to drop and shake up the industry in a good way. We’ve been waiting for this FIRE! What are some of the things you enjoy outside of work? My wife and kids! I have four children and I love them so much. My oldest is twelve and my youngest just turned one. I’m a huge family man. They are my pride and joy, they are the reason I work so hard. Everything I do is for them. Shout out to my lovely wife because without her none of this is possible. Do you have any long term goals you’d like to accomplish in the cannabis industry? I sure do! I want to be a GM then I want to own a dispensary or have my own product in dispensaries because I have so many genetics ideas. Do you prefer a high THC content or a really good terpene profile? Good terp profile all day. It’s a plus when it has a high THC content with a good terp profile. That’s a dangerous combination that Nature's Chemistry seems to master. What you been smoking on? Cereal A La Mode from Cookies, grown by Redwood. Gumbo from Cookies grown by The Growers Circle.

Las Vegas
Sammiey Taylor THE SANCTUARY DOWNTOWN Sammiey is no stranger to the cannabis industry. She's held many positions throughout the industry in Nevada and has become one of the most well known faces around. Helping people find the right medicine is her specialty. You can catch Sammiey at The Sanctuary’s downtown location. What made you want to join the cannabis industry and what was your first industry job? I had pretty much exhausted all work options that could make me money in Vegas. But also for real, I had been using cannabis as a medicinal source for about 5-7 years before I had joined. When we went recreational it was like a light bulb went off for me. I wanted to learn as much about the plant and WHY and HOW it could help me and so many others. I left the nightlife (bartending) and I knew that this industry more than any other in Las Vegas was going to be able to teach me but also I’d be happy to retire in. You’ve worn many hats in the cannabis industry, how would you compare budtending to other positions you’ve had? The true greats in this industry have worn, and will continue to wear, many many hats! I think we all do it happily. I have done everything from budtending to field marketing to sales. However, something about budtending is just a little more satisfying. Knowing that, it’s the specific patients I see on a weekly or daily basis that kind of make budtending more rewarding. There’s nothing like being able to teach, reach and help someone in that way. What’s the most satisfying part of budtending? Teaching someone about what they are consuming is the helpful part. Also being able to really put people on to what they didn’t know before. I’m always learning about this plant and the industry, so both parts are exciting to share with others .
What kind of challenges have you faced that you didn’t expect when you first joined the cannabis industry? I didn’t know there were so many different parts and people in this industry and community. The least expected people are the people I sell weed to on a daily basis. It was hard to learn all the different energies and facts. I didn’t know that every part of the plant could be used, for example. It was really cool but scary learning all these things and being able to apply it to what I share or teach someone . What’s your favorite topic you like to educate patients on? I love teaching people about everything I know. Pretty much if I have the knowledge, I’m gonna educate and you gon’ learn today. What are some of the things you enjoy outside of work? I am a mama of two boys, so I definitely enjoy my mama bear time outside of work . I also really do love staying active in the community. I do my best to visit other dispensaries and friends in the cannabis space. But for me, being a mama is number one outside of my work. Do you prefer a high THC content or a really good terpene profile? I prefer a combo. I prefer more terps so that I can know for sure how my high will be, and how long it may last depending on the milligrams. What you been smoking on? Lately, the Greenway Apples and Bananas flower. Nature's Chemistry’s Garlic Cookies prerolls got me in a choke hold. The new tangerine Wylds are a legit hybrid experience and a first for me not to get tired on an edible.

The Ultimate Trip Party Toolkit Must-Haves for a Psychedelic Soiree
>>> BY JADEN RAE
Disclaimer: We do not encourage illegal activity. Check with and adhere to your local laws. We do not claim psychedelics or plant medicine to be a substitute for professional medical care. Always consult with your doctor. The goal of this article is to promote entertainment, safety and education.
Planning to take your love for the cosmic journey and share it with friends? Hosting a psychedelic party is not just about gathering like-minded souls; it's about curating an experience—one that's safe, memorable, and absolutely transcendent. Whether you're a seasoned space traveler or just embarking on this interstellar adventure, our guide is chock-full of essential items to ensure your psychedelic soirée is one for the astral history books. From the moodsetting to the munchies, we've got you covered. Dive in and let's set the stage for the trip of a lifetime.
1. Bedsure Faux Fur King Size Blanket: A Cosmic Cocoon You’re floating amidst the stars, feeling every sensation amplified. What's the one thing you'd want wrapped around you? Enter the Bedsure Faux Fur King Size Blanket. This isn't just any ol' blanket; it's like getting a hug from a warm, fluffy cloud. My friend and fellow content creator, Tori Gordon, swung by one time, and let's just say, she was obsessed with its fuzziness. Every psychedelic voyage deserves some lush tactile luxury, and this blanket is it. Get ready to nestle into your very own slice of the universe. Vegas locals Nikki Grace and Tori Gordon run the podcast The Coachable swear by their cuddly comforts.
2. Crystals: Vibrant Vibes for the Voyage Alright, truth bomb: I'm not one to usually rock the crystal vibe, but for those of you who do, there's some cosmic buzz about these
26
shimmering stones that can't be ignored. Some of our psychonaut friends swear by their energetic properties, saying they amplify intentions and serve as grounding talismans during their journeys. And that’s a beautiful thing! Whether you're seeking clarity from a clear quartz or looking for some love energy from a rose quartz, there’s a crystal for every intention. For the crystal enthusiasts among us, letting your favorite stone accompany you can add a unique, grounding layer to your adventure.
3. Sour Candies: A Zesty Zing Let's face it: sometimes, mid-trip, our mouths feel like we've wandered into a desert... but not the fun, trippy kind. Enter sour candies: the ultimate mouth oasis! There’s something about that tangy jolt that just snaps you back, offering a splash of sensation and a wild dance for your taste buds. Not only do these zesty treats combat the occasional "mouth fry" that some of us know all too well, but they also inject a burst of flavor and fun into the journey. And for your fellow psychonauts, nothing says "I've got your back (and your taste buds)" quite like sour candies. Krystian Ecklund, who hosts monthly yoga classes at Area 15, always brings over a big bag of sours for our parties.
4. Insulated Water Bottle: The Cosmic Quencher Alright, bear with me here because this might sound a bit offbeat at first, but trust in the wisdom of a seasoned psychonaut. Picture this: you're drifting through the swirling eddies of a trip, feeling a bit adrift, and then bam! You take a sip of glacial-cold, ultra-crisp water from your insulated water bottle, and suddenly you're grounded, centered, and deeply refreshed. It's like an oasis in the midst of your cosmic desert. It’s not just about hydration—it's a sensory experience. So, whether you're ascending to new astral planes or just chilling on planet Earth, an insulated water bottle is the unsung hero you didn't know you needed. Stay thirsty, my friends.
5. Bubbly Drinks (No Booze): Elevate Your Hydration Game While water is undeniably the OG thirst-
quencher, sometimes our psychedelic escapades beg for a little extra pizzazz. That’s where booze-free bubbly drinks come in. The effervescence of those tiny bubbles dancing on your tongue can be a whole sensory experience on its own, and it's kind of like a mini party for your mouth. Think seltzers, carbonated natural fruit beverages, or even some fun mocktails if you're feeling fancy. Just like that, you’ll become the celestial bartender of your trip fest. Elevating the mood with each pop and fizz, these beverages not only quench thirst but also add an animated layer to the journey.
6. Nighttime Neon: Glow Sticks for Psychedelic Artistry When the lights go out, the psychedelic artistry begins. Enter glow-in-the-dark sticks, a delightful revelation from my bestie, Brooke. Whether you're weaving patterns in the air or laying them out on the ground to create luminous masterpieces, these neon sticks offer a vibrant twist to your trip. Provide these to your tripping pals and watch their faces light up, both literally and figuratively.
7. Luminous Lassos: Light Whips for Hypnotic Visuals Alright, before anyone gets any quirky ideas, we’re talking visuals, not Indiana Jones action here. Light whips can send any psychonaut into a trance-like state with their enchanting swirls and bursts of color. Perfect for enhancing those trippy vibes, these wands of wonder create entrancing patterns that dance across your vision. Having these on hand will ensure your next psychedelic session is lit—no actual
whipping involved.
10. Psychedelic Playlist: Set the Sonic Scene
8. Creative Chronicles: Journals & Sketch Pads for Inspired Minds Every psychonaut knows: a journey isn't just about the visuals, it's about the revelations and realizations that bubble up to the surface. And for our artistically inclined friends? These insights often beg to be jotted down or sketched out. Enter the trusty journal and sketchpad: perfect for capturing in-the-moment musings or post-trip reflections. A thoughtful must-have for anyone looking to intertwine their inner worlds with creative expression, ensuring those fleeting moments of clarity find a permanent home. This is more than a party favor. It’s a way of saying “I value your insights; don't let them slip away."
9. Eye Masks: Dive Deep into the Inward Voyage Ever felt the urge to shut out the world and sink deep into your inner cosmos? That's where eye masks come into play. These simple yet game-changing accessories allow for an uninterrupted inward journey, free from the flickers and flares of the external environment. An eye mask can heighten the sensations, visuals, and emotions of the trip by providing a blank canvas for the mind's artistry. It's like giving your guests a VIP ticket to their own personal light show! Plus, they make for quirky little party favors—especially if you pick up some with fun, trippy designs. So next time you're hosting, offer your psychonaut pals an eye mask and watch as they unplug from the outer realm and plug into their inner theater.
Music and psychedelics? A match made in sensory heaven! Crafting the perfect playlist for your trip party is essential—it's the unseen guide that can steer the mood, elevate the atmosphere, and transport listeners to different dimensions. Whether it's ethereal soundscapes, soulful acoustic jams, or pulsating electronic beats, each track becomes a chapter in the collective journey of the night. For many, music acts as an anchor, harmonizing the external with the internal, and serving as a backdrop to profound moments of introspection or joy. When curating your list, consider the ebb and flow of energy you want to create. And always be open to guest DJ spots; after all, sharing is caring in the psychedelic realm. And voilà, your ultimate toolkit for a psychedelic soirée! Whether you're prepping for your own introspective journey or setting the stage for a group of fellow travelers, every item on this list plays its part in crafting the perfect trip environment. Remember, it's not only about embarking on the journey but ensuring the experience is as profound, safe, and vibey as possible. >>> christmas, stress and cannabis While there is no one-size-fits-all approach to managing holiday stress, cannabis can help you cope with your family drama, sleep better and save money. As a natural relaxant, cannabis can help you manage everyday life stresses during the holidays. It can also be used to help you cope with anxiety before social events or stressful situations which may arise during the season. If your family is going through a rough patch or if there are tensions between siblings and extended family members during the holidays, using cannabis in small doses can help alleviate some of that stress and tension. Cannabis has been shown to have an anti-anxiety effect on people who use it regularly for therapeutic purposes such as treating PTSD symptoms or chronic pain management. In addition, research shows that CBD oil may reduce feelings of aggression by reducing adrenaline levels in people who have consumed too much alcohol after a night out drinking (or celebrating).
Anxiety…I need to get a grip!
You may experience some symptoms of anxiety if you’ve recently had a major life change—or even if it’s just Christmas and Holiday season time! Feeling anxious about an upcoming event? Indica Strains can help calm the mind and body, with a full-body relaxation that is perfect for slowing things down when you’re feeling wound up.

Some even prefer to partake before heading into a stressful situation to see how it helps you relax and engage more fully in the moment without getting carried away in your thoughts. You might also enjoy trying an edible capsule as well, which could take slightly longer to kick in than smoking, but will still provide long-lasting effects.
Sleep….I need Sleep!
I need to Relax!
Cannabis can help with insomnia. Many people suffer from insomnia or other forms of sleep deprivation during the holidays because they’re caught up in work or family obligations, or simply feel overwhelmed by holiday stressors. Luckily, cannabis has been shown to improve both total sleep time as well as quality of rest for those who are struggling with bouts of insomnia or other types of sleep deprivation.
Cannabis topicals are another great way to promote relaxation by applying the cannabinoids directly to the skin. The cannabinoids in these products are
absorbed through the skin and act as an anti-inflammatory agent that helps reduce pain, muscle tension, and inflammation. Topicals are also a good option for people who don’t want to (or can’t) inhale cannabis smoke but still want relief from tension or pain. You can literally rub them on your skin wherever you need them—the back of your neck, arms or legs—and feel the effects immediately. They also have a long shelf life so you can keep them around whenever the need arises!
It’s no secret that cannabis can help you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer, but did you know it can also reduce restless leg syndrome? This may be due to the effects of cannabinoids on the endocannabinoid system, which plays an important role in regulating sleep and wakefulness.
Cannabis can help with sleep apnea (a common cause for chronic snoring). One study found that THC reduced breathing pauses associated with obstructive sleep apnea by 25%. Another study showed that CBD oil reduced oxygen desaturation during quiet wakefulness among patients diagnosed with OSA., so if you’ve ever had trouble sleeping due to snoring (or even just loud neighbors), cannabis could be your saving grace! Happy Holidays, and try some cannabis for a stress-free season!

We dated years ago, whenever she would come into town. It was a high energy relationship that felt like a sinful sensational rollercoaster ride of good times. Yeah, I am guilty of swiping both of these TGC Solventless Hash Rosin Disposable Vape Pens. I was even thirsty for the vape cartridge, but my arm was twisted and I had to give something up. PRESIDENTIAL Blue Raspberry Moon Rock Blunt
PRESIDENTIAL
In collaboration with Rove
Flower, Distillate, Kief Understandably a product you’d share for a special occasion, the Presidential Blue Raspberry blunt is the equivalent of a bottle of scotch old enough to vote in a US election. Possessing a very potent flower, the Presidential blunt is infused with two different types of even more potent extracts. Myself being from Houston, JOSH blunts are always a must have for smoking quality cannabis, even if my personal blunt rolling skills are nothing short of atrocious.

Flower, Distillate, Kief You don't need a Rove Pen or any battery to make this Rove product work for you. You just need a spark and a flame to get lit from it. Suggestions for Stoney Reading Freaks By Shwa Laytart
Bear: The Life & Times of Augustus Owsley Stanley III By Robert Greenfield Are you ready for a trippy flashback? If so, then Robert Greenfield's biography, Bear: The Life and Times of Augustus Owsley Stanley, is a mesmerizing journey into the life of a legend who left an indelible blotter on the 1960s and beyond. Augustus Owsley Stanley, known by those in the know as "Bear," was a pivotal player in the world of music, LSD, and the counterculture movement of the 60s. Greenfield's meticulously researched and beautifully written book provides a comprehensive and intimate portrait of this enigmatic figure, capturing the essence of a madman who helped shape an era with mind-altering drugs and meticulous sound engineering. We begin with Bear's early life, painting a picture of his Kentucky roots and his emergence as a restless, curious, and intelligent young adult. Bear then ventures from the rural bluegrass of Kentucky to the Barbary Coast of San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury. There, Bear expanded on his love for music and drugs, two passions that would shape not only his future, but the future of the planet. All it took was one good hit of LSD, (most likely a massive dose of five hundred micrograms) for Bear to fall in love with the mind altering substance. When Bear couldn’t find a consistent supply, he did what every devoted fan would do. He figured out how to manufacture it himself. Greenfield captures the sense of rebellion, freedom, and experimentation that defined the era. We’re allowed firsthand experience of the birth of the psychedelic movement, with LSD playing a central role. Greenfield draws from a wealth of sources, including interviews with Bear himself, as well as those who knew him intimately. These personal accounts provide invaluable insight into Bear's character, motivations, and influence.
40
Bear remains an enigmatic figure, but Greenfield peels back the layers, revealing a complex individual driven by a desire for authenticity, freedom, and creative exploration. But it’s the love of music that really takes the story to another level. Bear's association with the Grateful Dead is a central focus of the book. Greenfield illuminates the relationship between Bear and the band, highlighting Bear's role as their sound engineer, as well as his integral part in their unique approach to live performances. The book offers a backstage pass to the creative process and the communal spirit that defined the Grateful Dead. Bear's technical ingenuity and dedication to achieving the perfect sound were pivotal in shaping the band's live experience. Techniques that are still used to this day. Greenfield doesn't shy away from the darker aspects of Bear's life, either. His relentless pursuit of purity in the production of LSD and his battles with the law are exposed in detail. Not everyone agreed with Bear that the use of LSD is for the betterment of humanity. Bear's legacy goes beyond the Grateful Dead and LSD. The book also delves into his ventures into sound technology and innovations in the music industry, as well as his pioneering work in the field of live sound engineering. Bear had a relentless pursuit for excellence, not only in the world of music but in all his endeavors. Many times, this passion became an obstacle and a benefit. So much so that Bear had to flee the States and take on a new life in Australia. Even there, Bear became known for producing some of the most exciting psychedelic events ever attended. Bear: The life & Times of Augustus Owsley Stanley III by Robert Greenfield is a trip worth taking. Not only for historical importance but also for the sheer surreal experience of being at the beginning of the psychedelic movement that changed the course of human evolution. This book is a must-read for anyone interested in the 60s drug counterculture, or simply the fascinating journey of a man whose influence extended far beyond his lifetime. I highly suggest you spark up, drop in, trip out, and kick back with a copy of your own. This book is seriously worth Reading Lit! Indigenous Cannabis Coalition >>> Mary Jane Oatman Despite comprising only three percent of America’s total population, Native Americans have certainly cemented their place as innovators in so many notable ways in the cannabis industry. Indigenous tribes across Turtle Island have utilized the cannabis plant’s infinite number of uses for centuries before anyone thought of making a financial gain or conducting groundbreaking medical research from the plant. Native-owned dispensaries are showing not only the specialness of cannabis’ past but also the brave new future of where the industry will be going next. While the sprawling counties of The Silver State have continued to endlessly debate and alter the potential regulations of the eventually opening cannabis consumption lounges since the passing of Assembly Bill 341 during the 2021 Legislative Session, the Las Vegas Paiute tribe has been successfully operating the Nuwu Tasting Room, a cannabis consumption lounge that provides the most extensive menu of dabs and prerolls. Since the archaic year of 2019, Nuwu has served as not only one of the largest dispensaries by square footage and product selection but also providing the millions that visit Las Vegas annually with a detailed preview of what visiting a fully dedicated consumption lounge will be like. Just this past year, Nuwu expanded their store and retail space drastically with a 40,000 square foot two-story extension that consists of an entirely new sales floor and the riveting Sky High Lounge, another consumption space that this time, includes delectable cannabis-infused drinks that resemble popular alcoholic drinks. Also, the very green courtyard is perfect for hosting events of all types. Even outside of a globally popular tourist destination such as Las Vegas, Native Americans are showing how influential they have been and continue to be in this young yet flourishing industry. Although Minnesota is one of the newest states to legalize cannabis and has a geographic advantage given the lack of neighboring states with legalized cannabis, the state won’t have fully operational dispensaries that are compliantly allowed to sell recreational cannabis until 2025. Given the year-long process at minimum that crafting regulations often is, this will remain the status quo. That is, however, with one notable exception. “Minnesota’s cannabis law is among the strongest in the nation to honor and recognize tribal sovereignty and the authority of Tribal Nations to make decisions about cannabis sales on tribal land.” the website for the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management states. On the Red Lake Nation Reservation located just north of Bemidji, recreational cannabis sales have been fully authorized since the

first day of cannabis legalization on August 1, 2023. In fact, the Red Lake Nation is showing how strong their innovation skills are to the national cannabis industry, as the tribe recently announced their plans to create the first “mobile dispensary” which would resemble a food truck but instead of food, something that will make you hungrier will be served. About 18 months ago, Vegas Cannabis Magazine featured an interview with Mary Jane Oatman, a proud member of the Nez Perce tribe and the founder of the Indigenous Cannabis Coalition. We discussed the many ways that Indigenous people are making a defined place for themselves in this exciting new industry and what the future plans are for Oatman and the ICC as well as what Native people in the cannabis industry are capable of creating with the industrial advantages as this industry evolves. Since then, Indigenous people and Oatman alike have made monumental moves in this industry. Even if there are fully operational and compliant consumption lounges that open in Clark County by New Years 2024, the Paiutes will have already had those lounges open for nearly half a decade. Even when the non-tribal Minnesota dispensaries finally open in 2025, the Red Lake Nation will have already had nearly two years of experience in operating a functional dispensary in The Land of 10,000 Lakes and could provide priceless insight on how to complete that daily almost Herculean task of running a compliant dispensary. “There has been an overwhelming level of support from Indigenous communities and families for shifting the narrative and shining more light on the rights of Indigenous people to have equal access to plant medicine.” Oatman said. Especially with the Nez Perce reservation being located in the heart of the still fiercely prohibitive state of Idaho, Oatman’s advocacy for cannabis reform is a cause that hits very close to home. Since our last discussion, Oatman has joined forces with the Indigenous Cannabis Industry Association last year. “While I was showcasing all the phenomenal work that was being done across Indian country, I came across a Wisconsin tribal entrepreneur that had created an amazing brand and was engaging that brand externally. That was Rob Pero, the founder of Canndigenous. I featured his business in Tribal Hemp and Cannabis Magazine and while I was doing some engagement and advocacy for the ICC and THC Magazine in partnership with the National Cannabis Festival in DC, I invited Rob out and he came out with one of his team members.” Oatman and Pero felt particularly inspired by the National Cannabis
Festival and saw the necessity to host a similar event for Indigenous people in cannabis. Given that the two advocates and entrepreneurs both live in states without legal cannabis, those being Idaho and Wisconsin, they both understood how important it was to keep up their very crucial advocacy. They make a worthwhile team, as Oatman’s background is in education and grassroots advocacy while Pero’s background is in business. When Pero founded the ICIA in July of 2022, he reached out to Oatman personally to request that she serve as Executive Director of this new organization geared towards the advancement of Indigenous people in cannabis. “Being able to have the opportunity to network Indian Country is very important because we need a backup plan in case we experience the issue of being left behind in any type of reform that’s happening.” The ICIA’s influential and inspiring work may have already been partially successful, as a bill to legalize cannabis was introduced by Wisconsin Democrats just this past September. Although given the state’s leadership and stances on cannabis despite being mostly surrounded by states with fully legal access, it’ll be a while before Idaho passes any cannabis reform. In neighboring Minnesota however, Oatman is both elated for the Red Lake Nation cannabis businesses and also excited to see how they will expand their already historic operations. “I’m really excited about the opportunities for the tribes in Minnesota, especially those that have already leaned into well established access programs to their people for medicinal cannabis. I see all of those tribes as being well-positioned in the future for opportunities around research and efficacy of the cannabis plant through our tribal colleges and universities. That’s where a lot of our tribes are looking towards. The Puyallup tribe in Washington have been doing that research of cannabis as a plant medicine for some time now. I’m excited to see tribes do something different than what’s happening in the mainstream American cannabis industry.” “We’ve had tribes be the first to open drive-thru’s, the first to have consumption lounges. Within the Red Lake community, being able to have a mobile dispensary to meet the geographic needs of a community that is 100 percent wholly owned by the Red Lake Nation.”
During a recent trip to Minnesota, Oatman visited the White Earth Nation Reservation, which is the second federally recognized tribe in Minnesota to have recreational sales in their dispensaries. “They were really just thinking about their community, and that really shows in the sense that they weren’t looking to become a major cannabis monopoly in the Minnesota market. Now they find themselves positioned to take care of not only their community’s needs but also have other tribes from across the state that now understand and have been more educated in cannabis. And their communities are requesting for them to figure out what this cannabis economic development looks like, not only for the tribal communities but for the citizens themselves.” The ICIA hopes to serve as a professional network for Indigenous people to connect and assist each other in this tumultuous industry regardless of tribal affiliation. They also hope to expand the cannabis industry and opportunities within the industry beyond just being beneficial or the tribal enterprise or council. Both Oatman and the organizations that the proud Indigenous cannabis advocate is associated with have tremendously important plans for the future. Just last week, Oatman attended a call for the American Society for Testing and Materials’ Committee D37 on cannabis regulation. The organizations will also be working with the National Research Center to engage the tribal colleges and universities. Most notably, Oatman is helping plan a groundbreaking event with the American Indian Enterprise Development for the Rez 2024 Conference to “enhance tribal cannabis in a new way.” “At the end of the day, we have a unique sovereign status and that when many states have legalized cannabis, our tribal nations haven’t been recognized. We want to be prepared to have more engagement and voice for whatever happens with federal cannabis reform. We’re well positioned to make sure that our voices are heard in federal reform through our organizations and our partners.”

>>> Damire Major Music Spotlight
When it comes to Damire Major, music and cannabis go hand in hand. Being both her first loves, there is no doubt that with the help of Mary Jane, she has been able to take her mind to places of inspiration that allow her music to have a positive impact on every listener that decides to enter her world. So, we kicked back with Damire Major and got to know the maestro behind the music. “I remember the first time my lips ever touched a joint. Still till this day it feels like it was yesterday. The feeling of nostalgia I get every time I visit a grow facility or meet someone far wiser and beyond my years, who tells me their testimony of their experience with Mary Jane, and how their cannabis journey began; we are able to share a connection in that moment. If nothing else, at least we both have our love for Mary Jane. It’s not just a trend, it's a lifestyle. A culture that embraces people from all walks of life. A culture that brings people together, and is full of peace and love. It doesn't matter what part of the world you're from. If there's one thing that brings us together, it’s the positive effect that cannabis has on our lives. Mary Jane has been a joy in a moment of struggle. It’s allowed me to make better decisions in my life that have led me to where I am today. Imagine the twists my life could've taken without cannabis as my copilot through the maze of mental health. I know personally, I’ve dealt with anxiety all my life, and cannabis has been a vital tool in building the human I am today. I know in some of my toughest times, cannabis has helped me stay grounded and prevented me from making decisions that would negatively impact my future. They like to make you think cannabis is a gateway drug, but I believe it's truly the opposite. It has helped heal my mind, body, and soul. Lighting up, there's this spark, you know? It's like a mental GPS, leading you down the better route.
50
I think that cannabis has enhanced my creativity as a whole, but especially when penning down lyrics. It's my way to let loose, and provide a channel of expression. It's my outlet to vent and rejoice, and it's an expansion of me that translates and transfers onto the next person. The world of cannabis has something for everyone, as does my music. I guess you could say cannabis is to my music as terpenes are to every strain; responsible for the differences among a commonly shared interest. Mary Jane has allowed me to open my mind and make music that everyone can enjoy. I'm definitely an indica girl. I love being brought down to earth when I smoke a tasty blunt of King Louis XIII or a nice pungent Headband
OG, and if I'm lucky to come across some real, true Bay Area Purple Kush - that’s a good day. Nothing like a Solid Indica or Indica-Dominant hybrid to help collect your thoughts. It helps me focus on whatever task is at hand, whether it's a home improvement project or a studio session. Indica always puts me in a smooth, easy flow to tackle and handle whatever project I’m in for. I always say you can test the quality of the bud with a bong rip. Most frequently though, I smoke blunts. Now if I'm smoking dabs, I always stick true to my sidekick The HuniBadger. As a traveling artist I find that my HuniBadger is the easiest, smoothest way to stay dabbed out on my adventures. If I'm back home, I love hitting my little brother’s Don Rob piece. I really need my own. Always smooth and solid. A close friend once told me ‘You are better than no one, but no one is better than you’. This resonated with me throughout the years because I believe just like everything in life, there's a balance. I don't need to play the comparison game for validation. I know exactly what I’m capable of, and my music is a testament to that. Together we are stronger than we are apart. Any budding artist out there, I know you've heard it, but hear it again! Embrace your uniqueness, don't let public perception mess with your vibe. Creativity should be untamed by public opinions. If you're in it for the love of the craft, trust the process. Stay authentic and unapologetic. The ones vibing to the beat of your drum will appreciate you for it. I'd like to give a special thanks and shout out to Vegas Cannabis Magazine and my team. This is only the beginning!”

Do you have a question about cannabis and wellness? We have the answers. Email your questions to ask.sarah.vcm@gmail.com
Hi Sarah, So I have to know, what is the actual difference between a sativa and an indica? I always look at terpenes when I buy my cannabis and I swear, there are so many variations and overlaps between the two. I’m just not understanding what classifies the flower as an indica or sativa. Kyle Hi Kyle, Thanks so much for writing in and I hope I can help clarify what indica and sativa truly mean. Originally, both terms were only used to describe the plants’ physical structure. Sativa is a taller, lankier, and more fibrous plant; while indica plants are shorter, stouter, and thought to deliver more psychoactive effects. Contrary to popular belief, indica is not named indica because it can deliver ‘in da couch’ effects, it's because the plants grew in regions of India. Though the terms originated only to distinguish the physical structures of the plant, the current industry has adopted these terms, along with ‘hybrid’ to distinguish the effects of the plant, claiming sativa to be uplifting and indica to be more sedative. However, this is absolutely not the way to determine the effects, terpenes are. And as you have seen, the terpenes are usually not the same in indica or sativa strains, making the terms indica and sativa truly mean nothing to the consumer. While one can buy flower that is sativa for uplifting effects, it is not guaranteed. It is always best to read what terpenes are in the product to know how it will affect you. If you want uplifting, reach for limonene, not sativa. And if you want a deep level of body relaxation, reach for myrcene or caryophyllene, not an indica. I believe we have enough research and education that it is time the industry lost these terms that were simply meant to determine the physical structure of the plants and look at what really matters for consumers' experiences, in order to help us, the consumers, get the effects we desire each time we make a purchase.

Ask Sarah... Hi Sarah, My dog is 12 years old and has aches and pains with aging. She has been struggling with steps and I would do anything to help her. My friend at work said they give their pets CBD and it helps them a lot, so I’m thinking of trying it out. But I also want to make sure I’m making the right choice for my fur baby. Do you have any experience with giving animals CBD, or do you know by chance how it helps them? Oh, and also will it make her feel high? Thanks Sarah! Sincerely, Barbara Hi Barbara, I completely understand your concerns. You want to make sure you’re doing the right thing for your fur baby, and unfortunately there is not enough information out there for consumers, despite there being waves of research. I have used CBD for my own pets and have studied it many years and can say with certainty it absolutely has the potential to help them, just like it does us. All animals have an endocannabinoid system and can benefit from CBD. Fun fact, the most primitive animal to express cannabinoid receptors is the sea-squirt, an animal that evolved over 600 million years ago. The endocannabinoid system is responsible for modulating dozens of functions throughout the body, including pain, memory, mood, and more, helping to also promote health and balance throughout the body and mind. Research has found CBD can help dogs with pain, including pain from osteoporosis and arthritis, can reduce the frequency and duration of seizures, as well as help with much more including separation anxiety. Additionally, I’d love to share a brief summary of a study I reviewed that was done in 2020. They studied 32 dogs with pain that affected their daily activity. Of the 32 dogs, 30 showed significant improvement with CBD and of the 23 that were prescribed pharmaceuticals
all were able to reduce or quit altogether, relying on CBD. CBD can be a powerful ally for our fur babies, especially as they get older. And great news is, there have been no adverse side effects reported, and CBD does not make them high. While we cannot give our animals THC, they can absolutely have CBD. When purchasing CBD be sure to find a reputable product that does not have many additives. One company that I know of and have used for many years is Baileys CBD. They are veterinarian formulated and I trust using them myself. I can say from my own experience, CBD has been life changing for my fur babies and I hope it helps your pup as well. Sarah Schwefel is an advocate for patients and plant medicine. SIP, NIBBLE & TRIP How To Make Blue Honey *Author’s Disclaimer: We do not encourage illegal activity, nor the sale or trade of illegal substances. Check with and adhere to your local laws. We do not claim plant medicine to be a substitute for professional medical care. Always consult with your doctor. The goal of this article is to promote safety and education.
Blue honey sounds like something straight out of a fairy tale, doesn't it? But in the world of psychonauts and mycology enthusiasts, it's a whimsical term for something very real and intriguing. Let me break it down for you.
What Is Blue Honey?
Blue honey is an extraction method using honey to preserve the active components—psilocybin and psilocin—from magic mushrooms. Unlike more potent extracts that use alcohol, Blue Honey is milder. Plus, honey is a fantastic preservative, which means this blend isn't just about immediate use—it's about crafting something that can be savored over time. This particular extraction method is a lot like fine wine. It takes patience. The longer you let it age, the more potent it will be. Give it a good three to six months for it to come into its own.
Why Is It Called Blue Honey?
Whether you call it blue honey, smurf juice or even dragon’s blood, the name reflects the bruising of the mushroom. When psilocybin hits the air, it starts to oxidize and take on a cool blue hue. Some researchers think it's the mushrooms' way of saying, "Back off!" to hungry insects. The idea is that these blue compounds might be the mushrooms' chemical armor against being munched on, though this is merely speculative. In most cases, the honey will remain honey-colored rather than actually turn blue. This is not indicative of its potency.
Benefits Of Blue Honey
Dive into the sweet perks of Blue Honey, and you'll find it's not just a feast for the senses, but a crafty way to keep your psychedelic experiences fresh—literally. Here's why this sticky elixir is becoming a go-to for enthusiasts: • Honey's natural preservation qualities mean your mushrooms stay potent much longer. It's the ultimate, shelf-stable way to maintain their magic. • No heat is involved in making Blue Honey, so there’s zero risk of losing potency that way—heat destroys psilocybin, but with this method, its strength is fully preserved. • Once you dial in the dosage, a teaspoon or two of Blue Honey can consistently deliver your desired effects, taking the guesswork out of your journey. • You're in control of the strength. Adjust the amount of mushrooms per jar of honey to customize the potency to your preference. • It's an easy DIY project. All you need are a few common items like a jar and a blender or similar tool—no special equipment required.

• Blue Honey is delicious. It turns the often challenging flavor of raw mushrooms into a sweet, palatable treat.
What You'll Need
• Mushrooms: 30 grams of cracker-dry cubensis mushrooms. Any strain will do the trick. • Honey: Grab 30 fluid ounces of the runniest, 100% organic raw honey you can find. We're going for a 1:1 ratio because each ounce of honey will infuse with a gram of mushrooms. • Grinding tool: A Magic Bullet works great, but if you don't have one, a pestle and mortar, coffee grinder, or even a blender can get the job done. The goal is to get the mushrooms as fine as possible. • Jar: A quart jar gives you enough room to shake things up and ensure a good mix.
Steps
• Grind 'Em Up: Take all your mushrooms and grind them into a fine powder. The finer, the better for even distribution in the honey. • Layer Up: In your jar, start creating thin layers with your honey and ground mushrooms. Think of it as making a psychedelic parfait. • Flip It: Once your jar is full, seal it up tight. It's going to get super thick, so here’s the drill: flip it, wait 15 minutes, flip it back, wait another 15 minutes, and so on. Try to flip it every 15 minutes for the next few hours. This helps everything mix well. • Patience is Key: Now, the waiting game begins. Every few days, give the jar another flip. Stick with this routine for the next 3 to 6 months. Yep, it's a slow ride, but trust me, it's worth it. • Pressure Alert: When you finally open the lid after all that time, be ready for a bit of an overflow—there's been pressure building up in there. • To Strain or Not to Strain: Honestly, straining can be a hassle because the honey's so thick. I usually just leave the mushroom bits in there. And there you go! Blue Honey with all its glorious potency, ready to sweeten the deal whenever you need it.

Even though we aim for 1 gram of mushrooms per 1 gram of honey, it’s unlikely the powder will be equally distributed throughout the honey, so there’s still a bit of guesstimation involved in figuring out how much magic you’re spooning out. Here’s a tip for your first taste: start with just a drop (for reference, an eighth of a teaspoon is equal to approximately 0.70 grams in this case). It’s a small enough amount to give you a feel for its power without launching you straight into orbit. If that drop sends you over the moon, well, you’ve got some potent honey on your hands. But if all you get is a gentle hum, you’ve got the green light to explore a little more generously next time. As you continue to indulge, you’ll become a sort of honey connoisseur, tuning into the perfect dosage for your desired journey.
How To Use Blue Honey
Here’s how you can enjoy that Blue Honey you’ve so patiently crafted: • Baking Buddy: Feel like baking with a twist? Use Blue Honey as an
ingredient in your favorite recipes. Just remember to keep the oven temp on the down-low because high heat can kill your potency. • Brew Infusion: Stir it into your tea or coffee. It's an easy way to turn your daily sips into a mystical experience. Just swirl in a spoonful and you're good to go. • Microdose Magic: If you’re into microdosing, this honey is your new best friend. A little dollop in your morning tea can sweeten the start of your day with an extra layer of calm and creativity. • Straight Up: And of course, there's no shame in going old school—enjoy it straight from the spoon! It's a quick and no-fuss way to get that mellow buzz. Remember, the key with Blue Honey is to start small, especially if you’re new to the scene. It's potent stuff, so take it slow and find what works best for you. Enjoy!
How To Store Blue Honey
Honey is Mother Nature's preservative powerhouse. It’s packed with antibacterial properties that make it an excellent choice for keeping things fresh. It won't entertain mold or bacteria, so your psilocybin treasures are snug as a bug once they're swimming in it. Plus, when paired with an airtight container, honey creates an oxygen-blocking seal, putting a pause on potency-degrading processes. In the grand scheme of things, your Blue Honey could outlast your wildest dreams, staying as potent as day one. There’s no fridge requirement here. Park it in a pantry or a cupboard away from direct sunlight, and you're all set. With Blue Honey, the phrase “good things come to those who wait” really does ring true, potentially over many months or even years, with minimal fuss over potency loss. Just remember – cool and dark is the mantra for storage perfection.
Some Final Tips
• Check Your Honey: Ensure you're getting true value by sourcing 100% organic, raw honey. This step is pivotal for avoiding honey with unnecessary additives that could affect the quality of your Blue Honey. • Vegan-Friendly Option: Opt for agave syrup as a seamless vegan substitute in your Blue Honey preparation. It's a one-to-one swap and follows the exact same process for a vegan-friendly version. • Aim for Runny: A less viscous honey or agave blends more easily with mushroom powder. And there you have it—a step-by-step guide to making your own Blue Honey. Remember, the key ingredients here are patience and authenticity. Whether you're a seasoned psychonaut or a curious newcomer, this process is sure to add a little sweetness to your explorations. Keep it cool, keep it dark, and let the alchemy of time do the rest. DECEMBER HOROSCOPES ARIES (MARCH 20 – APRIL 19) You have come so far this year Aries! Take the month to reflect on your accomplishments and how far you’ve come. It’s been a busy year and you’ll feel like taking it easy, spending time at home. The holidays usually stress you out so make sure to spend time relaxing and unwinding. Family obligations won’t be so bad this year because you’re able to ignore any judgements and make a great impression on everyone. We recommend pregaming with a Trendi Master Kush Infused Superblunt and you won’t have a care in the world. On the love front, singles may encounter some exciting romantic prospects. Keep an open mind and don't be afraid to take a chance on someone new. For those in a committed relationship, communication will be key in maintaining harmony. You’ll especially enjoy time together to destress and recenter yourself. TAURUS (APRIL 19 – MAY 20) As we enter the month of December, the planets are aligning in your favor and a wave of positive energy is coming your way. Get ready for a rewarding and fulfilling month ahead as you reconnect with long lost friends and family. You are carefree and expressive which allows you to work through some stagnant feelings that may have been holding you back. Spending time socializing is great for your mental health, just take it easy physically. With the holiday season around the corner, it's important to find a balance between indulging in festive treats and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Remember to prioritize self-care and make time for activities that bring you joy and relaxation to recover from all the fun you’re having. Keep some tasty Blueberry Muffin by Solaris on deck to decompress. GEMINI (MAY 20 – JUNE 20) You are in the giving spirit this month and won’t find yourself sitting still very much! Too much to do, too many people to see, and too many events to attend. It’s important to be able to take a moment for yourself, which you can pass to your loved ones. Your favorite part of the month is taking care of others spreading joy to everyone around you. You are feeling the love and will be able to relax and have fun in a romantic way. Spending time with your boo is a great option to refill your cup. You are an excellent holiday host, just try not to overdo it and put too much pressure on yourself. A little bit of rest will only help you be there for your family and friends. A pack of Grower Circle Sunset Punch Flight Bites should help you take it easy.

CANCER (JUNE 20 – JULY 22) You have so many emotions this month but staying focused on the future is the key to navigating them. You may feel a sense of urgency to tie up loose ends and complete

unfinished tasks. Don’t be too hard on yourself and forgive yourself for any goals that you’ve had to put off. You are extra sensitive right now, which is a good thing if you control your emotions. The Stiiizy Sour Tangie 1G Disposable is the perfect companion for you to help stay calm, cool, and collected especially around the Full Moon in Cancer on the 26th. You will enjoy spending time sharing meaningful conversations with your loved ones. Your sensitivity allows you to have a lot of empathy and easily understand how people are feeling to help them. Be cautious that this desire to help doesn’t become intrusive when meeting new people. LEO (JULY 22 – AUGUST 22) As we enter into the month of December, the stars have aligned in your favor, bringing a sense of luck and abundance. Saturn in Aquarius is favorable for you to provide structure to the holiday chaos and this is where you thrive. You are a natural-born leader. Trust your instincts and take charge, as your energy and charisma will inspire and motivate others to follow your lead. Your focus on upholding traditions helps you stay calm and your family will be so grateful for your attention to details. Don’t burn yourself out, although you will have a lot of energy this month your immune system is low. Enjoy a pack of Wyld 2:1 CBN Elderberry Gummies to help you get your rest. VIRGO (AUG 22 – SEPT 22) You should be given an award for how focused you’ve been this past year. This month, take time to celebrate and focus on self care. You’ll notice you’re feeling introverted and want to spend intimate time with loved ones. It’s okay to say no to big obligational events and opt for time spent at home instead. Forcing yourself to do anything unnecessarily stressful only leads to excessive behavior for you. Your closest relationships make you feel safe and bring you peace, which is exactly what you need right now. You’ll notice any activities that typically ground you will feel really good. You deserve to treat yourself to a super special concentrate like the Ghost Train Haze Live Rosin by Reina while you’re doing your thing. LIBRA (SEP 22 – OCT 23) You are so excited for all the celebrations to come and can’t wait to make others happy with your thoughtful approach. With Venus in Libra in the beginning of the month, your love is strong and you’ll be feeling extra romantic. Use this loving start to the month to plan meaningful expressions for those you care about and it will go a long way. You will be focused on helping others feel their best around the holidays but may become a bit depressed if looking at your own situation. Just focus on the future and you’ll feel much better. You’ve actually made quite a bit of progress even if you didn’t reach all of your goals. Try smoking a potent, uplifting pre-roll like the Orange Push Pop by Virtue if you feel down.
SCORPIO (OCT 23 – NOV 21) Your energy level is high and the holiday spirit has you feeling like going above and beyond this season. Despite the overwhelming number of things you accomplish this month, you are able to pursue your endeavors with ease. All this extra energy may result in restless thoughts. A chill strain like the Wookies by Polaris should work to help you find some inner peace, which will keep you zen in the face of chaos. Venus moving into Scorpio on the 4th will make you prone to jealousy and expectations reaching beyond the scope of reality. Don’t jump to any conclusions, especially when Mercury is in retrograde starting December 12th. SAGITTARIUS (NOV 21 – DEC 21) The New Moon in your own sign of Sagittarius on December 12th will bring a new cycle of growth and expansion for you. Use this time to set intentions for the future and embrace your adventurous and free-spirited nature by planning some fun trips. Although you are enjoying preparing for the holidays, you may find yourself wanting to avoid all the big family plans this month and prefer retreating into nature instead. Pick up a special treat like the Black Cherry Fusion CannaPunch to mix with your beverages while hitting up your required social gatherings. Plan on spending a limited amount of time at a select number of events to avoid the stress. It’s your season after all so don’t feel guilty about doing what you want! It’s better for everyone that way. CAPRICORN (DEC 21 – JAN 19) December is going to be a transformative and dynamic month for you with major astrological transits occurring in your sign. The stars are aligned for growth and positive changes. As Mercury enters your sign on December 1st, you will feel a surge of mental energy and motivation to pursue your goals and dreams. Use this energy to express yourself and your needs effectively. Your hard work and determination is received well by others and helps you to make significant progress towards your ambitions. Be cautious on how you present yourself once Mercury moves retrograde on the 12th. The universe is on your side, and falls into place when you believe in yourself. Celebrate the Sun moving into Capricorn on the 21st with an eighth of First Class Funk by CAMP. AQUARIUS (JAN 19 – FEB 18) Try to fight the urge to isolate yourself from compulsory events this season. We all know you prefer impulsive casual encounters to obligatory family gatherings but you may actually get something out of the holiday traditions more than you have in previous years. Reminiscing on the past will
bring you a sense of joy that you haven’t had in a while. Just choose wisely who you share your energy with. You will get involved in others’ conflicts if you spend time with dramatic influences. Be mindful of how you show up for others, especially when Mercury stations retrograde in Capricorn on December 12th. Take a couple doses of a Vert Red Velvet Cookie Square to decompress between outings. The key is balancing involuntary participation with healthy isolation. PISCES (FEB 18 – MAR 20) It’s no secret that you love the holidays as it’s the perfect excuse to get together with those you love. On December 4th, Venus enters Scorpio, highlighting your love life with intense emotions in the air. Be careful not to let jealousy or possessiveness take over. Instead, use this energy to deepen your bonds with loved ones and foster deeper connections. On December 6th, Neptune stations direct in your own sign of Pisces. This powerful energy will enhance your intuition and imagination, allowing you to tap into your creative potential and manifest your dreams into reality. Use an out of this world strain like the Papaya by Tahoe Hydro to get your wheels spinning. Don’t be afraid to dream big!!

Elevate the Holidays with
CBD Infused Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate & Sugar Cookies
15 jumbo marshmallows, plus more for garnish 8 oz Irish cream liqueur (such as Bailey's), optional shaved chocolate, for garnish whipped cream (or, non-dairy whip) chocolate syrup for drizzling peanut butter chips to top 1 dash salt to sprinkle on top **If you cannot find the infused chocolate bars you could always use a tincture. Just place a half dropper into each cup of cocoa. PREPARATION: It's super important that you whisk together the sugar and cocoa powder first to avoid clumping. You can do that right in the 6-quart slow cooker. Then gradually add the milk, whisking constantly to make sure it blends all together.. Now whisk in the heavy cream, chopped chocolate, vanilla extract, and instant espresso.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Holidays to everyone! We love the holidays and what better way to celebrate and show your love than with these two tasty cannabis treats. When we were trying to decide what recipes to make we both wanted to do traditional recipes with an elevated twist. Who doesn't love hot chocolate and who doesn’t love snowball cookies! I know I grew up indulging in them both during the holidays. The best part about making the hot chocolate in a crock-pot, is you can make it three days in advance and you can keep it warm for hours. It’s so velvety smooth, you guys are gonna love it! Making these treats with CBD can give you the relaxation and relief from the stress the busy holidays bring. We want you to be able to serve everyone, so CBD was going to give you that option. We love you guys so much and we hope you get the chance to try both of these recipes. If you do please tag us on IG, we would love to see your creations. We wish you a very merry holiday..and as always canna family, bon appetit!
HOT CHOCOLATE
INGREDIENTS: ½ cup peanut butter ⅓ cup granulated sugar 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 6 cups whole milk (or, milk of choice) 2 cups heavy cream (or, coconut cream) 2- 4-oz. semisweet CBD infused chocolate bars, chopped 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp instant espresso or coffee
60
Cover and cook on low heat, whisking often, until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is hot and all the ingredients have come together, about 2 hours. Now it's time to add the marshmallows and cook until the marshmallows begin to melt into the hot chocolate, about 2 minutes. This is where you would stir in the Irish cream liqueur, if you decide to use it, Set the slow cooker to warm. Ladle your hot chocolate into serving mugs, and top with more marshmallows and shaved chocolate. You can also drizzle the glasses with melted milk chocolate, Caramel or maple syrup, and you can add toppings like cinnamon, peanut butter kisses, cinnamon sticks or pralines… Go crazy!!
SNOWBALL COOKIES
INGREDIENTS: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened ½ cup powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 2¼ cups all purpose flour ¾ cup finely chopped nuts ½ g CBD isolate ¼ tsp salt PREPARATION: Preheat the oven to 400F. Mix your regular butter and cannabutter with 1/2 cup powdered sugar and the vanilla. Stir in the flour, nuts and salt until the dough holds together. Now the fun part! Shape your dough into little balls and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes –you don't want them to get brown, so keep an eye on them. Let them cool a bit, and while still warm, roll them in the powdered sugar. Wait a few minutes, and roll them babies again!!

Christmas Pavlova Ingredients:
6 egg whites 1 1/4 Cups white sugar 2 tsp corn flour / corn starch 1 tsp white vinegar 1 tsp vanilla extract Toppings: 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream 1/2g decarbed distillate fresh fruit
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 130C / 250F. Line a baking sheet. In the bowl of a stand mixer or a large bowl if you’re using a hand mixer add the 6 egg whites. Make sure to not get any trace of egg yolk in the egg whites or they will not whip. Turn your mixer on to medium speed and whip the egg whites until soft peaks form – about 2-3 minutes. Once soft peaks have been formed add 1 Tbsp of sugar at a time to the egg whites while continuously whipping. It should take around 5 minutes to add all of the sugar. Continue beating for another 5-7 minutes on medium speed. This is why you need a hand mixer or stand mixer, there is no way this could be done by hand. The egg whites should be thick and glossy, take a small amount between your fingers and check for any sugar. It should have all dissolved, if it hasn’t, continue beating until it has. Add the corn flour, vinegar and vanilla to the pavlova and mix it through. Turn the pavlova out onto the lined baking sheet and form it into a circle using a spatula. Pavlova isn’t supposed to look perfect, jagged edges are a good thing here! Place the pavlova into the oven for about 50 minutes. When the time is up, turn the oven off without opening the door and leave it to cool
completely for at least 6-8 hours or overnight is best. When you are ready to serve the pavlova, whip the cream to soft peaks while adding your distillate. Transfer the pavlova to a cake stand or plate and top with the whipped cream. Decorate with fresh summer fruit if it’s in season or a berry coulis made with frozen fruit. Slice and enjoy! I hope you all enjoyed this as I have to create. The Christmas Santa pic was created by Sean Keith Art, make sure you check him out. "Time is Money." -Denis
