West Orange Resident Publishes Book About Thanksgiving

W

est Orange resident Virtuous Cornwall has published three children’s books, with two more on the way. The most recent book called, Thankful Day, teaches young readers ages 3 and up about doing acts of kindness for Thanksgiving. The early childhood educator turned book author says, “I wanted to write a book on Thanksgiving with a twist that was not based on what you eat but rather on doing meaningful acts of kindness for the community in honor of Thanksgiving Day.”

Virtuous Cornwall

To promote her books, she does readings and signings at schools, libraries and more, and runs a Club for Kids on the Clubhouse app, where she offers storytimes a few times a week. The sessions also consist of music and riddle segments. The books are sold on Amazon and on her website VNCbooks.com. She can be reached at virtuouscornwall@yahoo.com.

Livingston Native’s Film Runs at Montclair Film Festival

A

bby Hauptman, who grew up in Livingston and is now living in LA pursuing her dream of working in the film industry, recently had her film called, “Based on a True Story,” run at the Montclair Film Festival. It was a dream come true for Abby, who was the director of photography, associate producer, and colorist. She says, “It was a labor of love” for her and the three other main creators: Brielle Cruz (writer/director), Sabrina Katz (co-producer), and Sunny Singh (co-producer). Abby says she her family are avid supporters of the festival who attend yearly and that this was the first year she attended as a creator. The film is about a girl consumed by her own teen angst that finds comfort in pretending she’s the main character of an ‘80s brat pack movie. The film has been selected, nominated, and won awards at numerous film festivals this past year.

Montclair Resident is a Volunteer and Connector By Jackie Schatell

A

minah Toler is a connector. She also loves to volunteer. The Montclair native, who currently resides in the 4th Ward, says she finds that people often seek her out for volunteer activities, resources and information. “Because I know so many people and agencies within the town, it is easy for me to pair them together as needed,” says Aminah. At the height of Covid, Aminah joined a group of volunteers online, which later became known as Montclair Mutual Aid. The group wanted to help neighbors, especially the elderly, who were being told to stay at home, and the Montclair Moms of Color group. They held a toiletry drive for the moms because “some of the members were suffering from hardships due to unemployment not kicking in, or from having hours cut at work.” In addition, Aminah says that some of the moms did not even have diapers for their children or enough food for the week.” Over the past year, Mutual Aid has run a variety of initiatives to help members in the community. They host monthly food distributions at Glenfield Park. They also started a water affinity group for residents in the 4th Ward to provide them with safe drinking water, and through the Aisle 7 club, they distributed free menstrual products. The group also partnered with the North East Seed Coalition to help with community gardening. Their harvests were given to Toni’s Kitchen, and stocked the little free pantries seen around town. Another endeavor was to sponsor a bike safety program for children where they received free helmets and reflectors for their bikes. In addition, Mutual Aid operated a free store at Lackawanna Plaza for residents to shop for kitchen items.

Pictured here are community volunteers, (left-right): Kelly Moore, Aminah Toler, Stephanie Brantly-Thompson, Phaedra Dunn, and Kate Albright.

Aminah says that the monthly food distribution gets bigger by the month. The Montclair Art Museum brings its art truck where the kids do arts and crafts, while their parents ‘free shop.” In addition, Parents Who Rock brings musicians who perform during the event keeping the day festive. Attendees get to shop for clothing, home decor, new and gently used coats, games, toys, and more. They also receive free food bags, along with a hot lunch, which are donated by Toni’s Kitchen. “It is important to me to make these monthly events fun for all, so that participants can have a great day and feel good about themselves, while collecting the items they need,” says Aminah. “I plan to keep these events going for as long as possible because people still need help. Aminah says she “looks at these nice collaborative community events as a ‘hand up’ not a ‘hand out,’ event because the people that partake are good hard-working people who have fallen on tough times due to Covid.” “My volunteer efforts keep me busy, sane and humble,” says Aminah. “I am lucky and fortunate to live in a town where people want to help.”

Montclair High School Alumni volunteers (left-right): Aminah Toler, Jeremy Stepansky, Char O’Dair-Gadler, and Rowan O’Dair-Gadler, participate in a drive for the community. 16

West Caldwell Resident is a DEDICATED Volunteer By Jackie Schatell

Peter and Laurie Stricker eter Stricker of West Caldwell is a true volunteer. For the last 11 years, he has been volunteering on Thursdays at St. John’s in Newark, where he helps make sandwiches.

P

and bagged food to go. There is also a nurse there so participants can get shots and medication, in addition to the food, clothing and personal hygiene kits that are available to them.

On Wednesdays, he collects food from the local Shoprite, which donates baked goods and breads, to bring to St. John’s. He also drives around to pick up clothing that people want to donate, which he takes with him on Thursdays. He says there is an area within St. John’s where clothing can be picked up by the homeless who are served by the church.

He enjoys working with the other volunteers there, some of whom he has worked with for many years. “We are all there for the same purpose, so there are no egos,” he says. “Everyone is extremely hardworking and we all know what to do when we get there. If we are asked to fill in elsewhere, or if we see a spot open, we just jump in and volunteer.”

Peter says he loves volunteering and that when he retired, his wife Laurie, suggested that he start volunteering at St. John’s, which is the largest outreach church in the area feeding the homeless. He says that sometimes there are more than 250 people on line waiting for their hot meal

Aside from volunteering, Peter enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. Prior to retiring he was a scientist, and a percussionist. “Volunteering is my way of giving back,” he says.

The event, which honored real estate developer Efrem Gerszberg of 2020 Acquisitions, was one of the most successful fundraisers in the more than 65-year history of the nonprofit, raising over $1.3 million to support the agency’s programs for individuals with disabilities.

Al Anthony (third from right) with (from left to right) event committee members Bobby Doerr, Mike Petillo, Clark Machemer, Bob Murray, Kelly Marx, Nicholas Racioppi, David Bishop, John Crimi and Purna Rodman Conare.

Livingston is home to three Pillar Care group homes, Pillar Elementary School and Pillar High School (which serve a total of more than 150 students with multiple disabilities) as well as the agency’s headquarters. “We are thankful to have the ongoing support of the Livingston community and leaders like Al Anthony,” said Clark Machemer, Chair of Pillar Care’s Board of Trustees and one of the co-chairs for the fundraising event. “The proceeds from this event will do a great deal to help us begin to rebuild and continue to meet the needs of those with disabilities.” “It’s an honor to work with the best group of individuals, all with their hearts in the right place, looking to make a difference in this world,” stated Al Anthony.

Iris Gallery 10th Anniversary Fundraiser/Exhibition Celebrates Family Legacy

T

he Herb + Milly Iris Gallery at SOPAC celebrates its 10th anniversary with a special fundraiser and exhibition. L’Dor V’Dor: Carrying the Torch by Jeremy Iris-Williams (Herb and Milly’s grandson) is the first metal art exhibition by this emerging artist. The opening reception will be held on December 4 from 6-9pm.

The Iris family perfectly embodies the significance of this expression. Milly established the Iris Gallery in 2011 to honor her late husband, Herb. Once Milly passed in 2014, the couple’s daughters, Roreé and Kerry, honored their parents through continued support of the Iris Gallery. Now, Roreé’s son Jeremy is exhibiting in the art Gallery.

L’dor V’dor is a Hebrew expression meaning “from generation to generation.” This phrase encapsulates the notion of honoring one’s predecessors by passing on wisdom, traditions and stories.

“I see a sheet of steel as my blank canvas,” says Jeremy Iris-Williams. “There are no rules or restrictions. I have full freedom to think and create. With my metalworking, the possibilities

are endless.” Curator Jeremy Moss states, “I would describe them as ‘metal origami’ with a twist, whether they be decorative or functional, his sculptures are fascinating, thought provoking and elegant.” The L’Dor V’Dor: Carrying the Torch exhibition will be on view from December 4, 2021-January 30, 2022. The Gallery is open from Monday-Saturday, 12-6pm. South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC), One SOPAC Way, South Orange. For tickets or to donate visit www.SOPACnow.org.

Renowned Chef Turned Artist Opens Up Art Gallery

I

nternationally renowned Spanish chef and artist Jesús Núñez turned his creativity back to the visual arts during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. In Jesús’ first New York restaurant review, The New York Times called his cuisine “edible art” and compared Jesús to famed Spanish surrealist Salvador Dali. Sometimes using his kitchen tools as opposed to paint brushes, Jesús decided to elevate his artwork by opening up his very own fine art gallery in Millburn. Right before the construction of his new gallery space was concluding, Millburn was flooded by Hurricane Ida, which destroyed many businesses in the town. While having to rebuild the gallery space all over again, he began a “Millburn Strong” campaign that helped raise awareness and funds for other local business owners in town affected by the hurricane just like himself. Another aspect that makes J. Nunez Gallery unique is their Love Always initiative. The gallery pairs up with a nonprofit every month and donates a portion of each artwork sold. “I opened this gallery to inspire. Art is beautiful but good art carries a message. I created the Love Always collection to carry the message of Love.” Núñez said.

Get Ready for Your 2021 Tax Return By Michael H. Karu, CPA/CFF/ CGMA

s the year is coming to a close, you may need to do some tax planning, but tax preparation planning is also important. While tax planning should be year round, its importance is heightened as we get closer to December 31. Start by offsetting capital gains with capital losses, especially if you have Michael H. Karu, CPA/CFF significant short term gains since those are taxed as ordinary income. Another technique is the bundling of deductions.

They’re waiting for your next move.

Make it Tanya L. Freeman. Divorce. Separation. Custody. Alimony. Deciding who gets what. It’s all stressful, heartbreaking— and a single misstep can be costly. That's why, for so many people, their next move—or their first—is to call Tanya L. Freeman. As an accomplished attorney, she brings skills and insights gained from her work in various public and private sector disciplines. This know-how helps Tanya develop strong negotiation and trial strategies designed to help clients move confidently through every phase of their matter.

For 2021, for single individuals, the standard deduction is $12,550 and for those married filing jointly, it is $25,100. Taxpayers are limited to $10,000 as a deduction for allowable state and local taxes. Also, your mortgage interest may be deductible. For those married filing jointly, with $7,500 of deductible mortgage interest plus the $10,000 in taxes, you still are $7,600 short of getting a tax benefit by itemizing your deductions. Assume you average $6,000 per year in charitable donations. Given the above, if you pay out $500 every month, you will not be able to itemize. However, if in year one, you do not make any donations, but double up in year two, you will realize a tax savings by increasing your potential itemized deductions. For 2021, even if you do not itemize, you can deduct up to $300 in charitable contributions paid by cash, check, or credit card per person to a maximum of $600 if you file jointly. Another allowable charitable donation deduction is for non-cash contributions, such as clothing and household furnishings. Just remember to get receipts. We recommend getting an accordion file and putting each type of document into a separate tab. Many taxpayers receive a variety of forms—W-2s, 1099s from banks, brokerage houses, unemployment, pensions, or for income earned, such as rents, royalties, non-employee compensation, gambling winnings, and forgiveness of debt, to name a few. For those with mortgages, look for Form 1098 from the lender. For any charitable contributions, keep any letters received confirming the amount donated.

So, if you need representation in any family law situation, consider what's at stake—then consider Tanya L. Freeman. It’s your move. a member of

Taxpayers who received an Advance Child Tax Credit, Premium Tax Credit, and/or an Economic Impact Payment and want to determine their eligibility for a Recovery Rebate Credit should look for certain documents, including IRS Letter 6419 for their 2021 Total Advance Child Tax Credit; Form 1095-A to reconcile the Premium Tax Credit; and IRS Letter 6475 for their Economic Impact Payment. Not every scenario fits every taxpayer and you need to consult with your tax preparer to make sure that you minimize your tax bite. In the words of Former US District Court Judge, Justice Learned Hand, “In America, there are two tax systems: one for the informed and one for the uninformed. Both are legal.” Better to be informed.

Real Person, Real Tech Help By Janis Hashe

F

rom building computers as a kid, to a career that includes 30 years of experience as a software engineer and technology consultant, Pasquale Ranalli has amassed a huge store of tech know-how. So, when in 2018, he created his own business, Digital Handyman, he was equipped to both solve consumers’ problems and help them bring their ideas to life. Digital Handyman offers computer repair, home networking, data recovery, cybersecurity, and web hosting, among other services for both individuals and small businesses. Pasquale noted that he gets many requests to help improve WiFi coverage and reliability, as well as for website design and hosting. “I try to provide a one-stop place for people to get what they need,” he said, “where you can talk to someone directly.” Digital Handyman also advises on an area of concern: cybersecurity. “I wish more people would ask me about this,” said Pasquale. For example, he can help users utilize highly secure passwords without having to memorize them all, as well as other methods for all but eliminating security issues. He enjoys brainstorming with his clients to come up with the perfect plan for each customer. “I want to provide a trustworthy, concierge IT service for homes and small businesses. Allow me to lift the burden of technology details so you can focus on what is important to you,” he states.

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to All! Come join us any Friday night for Shabbat services.

Into the Machine, mixed media, 36x46

THE ART OF SARAH CANFIELD

S

arah Canfield is an artist whose work will stop you in your tracks. She works in many different media, and often combines them together with stop in your tracks results. During a visit to her West Orange studio she said that: “My imagery begins with still life photographs of electronics such as computer power supplies and circuit boards that I embed in ice. I then use combinations of painting and photography to create works in oil, soft pastel, mixed media and sculpture. Some of my artwork is created entirely in soft pastel on paper, and other pieces are a hybrid of oil and acrylic paint merged with elements from my digital collages and photographs that I transfer by hand to canvas or wood panels. Toggling back and forth between digital and analog techniques allows me to balance the unique, handmade qualities of painting with the innovations of digital media.” Her works takes you on a trip which is a once a high-tech vision and an abstract dreamscape. In her art you witness the roaring contrast of hyper-realism and pure abstraction. Describing her sculptures she says: “I stack layered, transparent images mounted to plexiglass that creates an illusion of deep space. The depth of these works speaks to how deeply embedded technology is in our lives and reflects my ongoing interest in the conflict between the technological, or manmade, and the organic quality of the natural world.”

Sarah Canfield Photo by Dan Epstein

In her piece “Into The Machine”, mixed media on canvas, the viewer sees random parts from the interior of a computer frozen in ice, contrasted with abstract painting that almost feels like interior of our own bodies. We are so physically unlike the computers that we use daily, and yet, they are in their way, part of us. As we look at “Wired”, a soft pastel drawing on paper, we are again confronted with the contrast of computer pieces, frozen in ice. This time drawn entirely by the artist. And again, Canfield forces us to confront an ongoing contrast in our lives, and does so by capturing our attention with a pastel drawing that so beautiful, it defies us to look away. Finally in “Remix”, a dimensional work wherein she has layered transparent images in sequence, and placed them in a box lighting them from behind so that the images are in different contrast to each other depending on what angle you view them from. It’s both a flat work, and a sculpture at the same time further echoing her message about extreme contrasts in our world. Regardless of the specific medium of any given piece of hers you’re looking at, it has a resounding and poignant message, and will capture your attention by it’s own sheer beauty. You may very well have never seen anything like the work of Sarah Canfield. And you definitely should. See more when you visit her website or instagram page at www.SarahCanfield.com or www.instagram.com/sarahcanfieldart. Winter 2021

It’s COOL to Be KIND

M

any of the gifts at Smith & Co. in Caldwell are inspirational and tell a story. One brand in particular, Little Words Project®, aims to inspire and encourage people to be kind to themselves and to pay that kindness forward—one bracelet at a time. Founded by Adriana Carrig, a Livingston native, started the business with the intention of creating a brand that served a greater purpose beyond selling bracelets—she sought out to build a community that represents some simple truths of hers:

Kindness. Above all else, always be kind to yourself and to others. Just one kind word can change everything for the better. Self-Love. The words you tell

yourself matter. Love yourself first, and then pass it on to keep it going.

Collaboration. The real magic happens when people come together. Collaboration wins over competition—always.

Maintaining and Grooming a Beard is Nothing Short of a Routine

B

eards need a lot of care, and there is no easy way around that. If you know exactly what your beard requires and how to groom it, it is always going to be in top shape. Below are a few tips from Husky Beard and Grooming. Moisturizing your beard is a great idea, but you have to make sure to only use products which have been made specifically for beard hair. Longer beards can tend to have a tougher texture, so keeping it moisturized is important.

Oils and balms for beards help with a number of issues, like thinning hair, lack of lustre, uneven growth and so on. Trimmers, cutters, creams, and lotions made especially for beards are a smart investment. Electric shavers come in handy for beard grooming because they're easy to use and offer you the option of professional quality grooming right at home! Make a routine and always keep your beard-related products at a specific place, so that you don't have to waste time searching for them.

Carry a small beard comb with you at all times and give your beard a few brushes every now and then to avoid knots and breakage. Ensure that you clean and wash your beard regularly. Not doing so regularly can cause a build-up of bacteria or germs, which can, in turn, lead to other health issues and skin irritation.

It is not just your beard that needs to be clean and tidy at all times. Keeping your tools in good condition will also ensure that your skin doesn't contract any infections or rashes, especially if you have sensitive skin.

A healthy beard doesn't only have to do with what you use on it externally. Eating healthy and getting all the nutrition in is also essential. Omega-3, Vitamin B, and also Vitamin A are known to be a great source of proteins, minerals, and nourishment for facial hair to grow thick and evenly. Proper diet will also fuel your beard growth if you're looking to sport a longer one. www.huskybeard.com

LightPort Physical Therapy & Spa Helps to Create a Safe and Comfortable Work Environment By Deborah Schapiro

A

t LightPort Physical Therapy and Spa in Caldwell, the focus is not on any particular body part or type of injury. Rather, says founder Dr. John De Hoyos, DPT, “My team and I focus on really listening to our patients. We know how they’re doing while they’re here, but we need to find out how they’re doing at home and/or work as well.” This means asking patients about their mental and spiritual well-being as well as their physical health. It also means spending a lot of time discussing home care. Dr. De Hoyos explains, “We teach our patients how to create a safe and comfortable work environment for themselves to prevent injuries from occurring or recurring.” Known as ergonomics, this might include setting a desk or chair at a comfortable height to prevent neck and shoulder injuries or making sure that a computer screen is at eye level. Dr. De Hoyos adds that chairs should provide

sufficient back support, hips and knees should form a 90-degree angle, and feet should be planted firmly on the floor.

Dr. John De Hoyos, DPT

Instead of asking patients to buy expensive fitness gadgets, the LightPort team encourages patients to use ordinary household items for their home exercises, such as a belt or towel for shoulder stretching. These “homework assignments” are as simple as they are inexpensive. Dr. De Hoyos says, “We always have our patients work on abdominal breathing—engaging the abdominal muscles improves strength and helps reduce back pain.” In short, the LightPort team helps their patients help themselves.

It is Never Too Late to Get the Smile You Want Photo by Dan Epstein

Y

our smile and your oral health are important at any age. Dr. Eric Sacks of Sacks Orthodontics offers many popular options for adults including traditional braces, clear braces, LightForce braces, and Invisalign. Patients are amazed at the results! Ceramic & Traditional Braces are the tried-and-true method for fixing misplaced or misaligned teeth. But the braces offered at Sacks are not the mammoth metal appliances your parents had. “Our braces are smaller, more comfortable, and more efficient. We also have clear braces, which blend better with patients tooth color. Either option will result in that gorgeous smile you want!” states Dr. Sacks. A popular option for adults not thrilled about the look of braces are Invisalign Clear Aligners. Invisalign can fix many dental issues, including overbites, cross-bites, and underbites, and they are virtually invisible. “They are also removable, so you don't have to give up your favorite foods during treatment,” adds Dr. Sacks. Dr. Sacks is the top Invisalign provider for all of New Jersey and among the top 11 providers in the nation! For those that would like to wear more comfortable braces for less time than traditional braces, there are LightForce Braces available. The LightForce system is customized to your mouth, with clear brackets 3D printed to provide the most efficient force on just the right spot on each tooth. That means more comfort and more movement in less time than traditional metal braces. Dr. Sacks offers patient focused care and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, making him a Board Certified Orthodontist, an accolade achieved by less than a third of orthodontists in the United States.

One of the top ways of preventing heart disease and other cardiovascular diseases is exercise. Research shows that if you already have heart disease, appropriate exercise can improve your health. People who are physically active, even later in life, are less likely to develop memory problems or Alzheimer’s disease, a condition which affects more than 40 percent of people over the age of 85. To learn more about the role of physical activity as you age, visit MoveForwardPT.com.

Chronic pain doesn’t have to be the boss of you. Proper exercise, mobility, and pain management techniques can ease pain, improving your overall quality of life. Research shows that an appropriate exercise program can improve your muscle strength and flexibility as you age. Progressive resistance training, where muscles are exercised against resistance that gets more difficult as strength improves, has been shown to help prevent frailty.

Exercise can help you avoid falls and keep your independence. More than half of adults over 65 report problems with movement, including walking 1/4 mile, stooping, and standing. Exercise can improve movement and balance and reduce your risk of falls.

A

lthough you can’t stop time, the right type and amount of physical activity can help stave off many agerelated health problems. More than half (59 percent) of Americans expect to still be living at home independently at the age of 80, according to a recent survey by the American Physical Therapy Association. However, the same study showed that at least half of the same population recognizes they will see a decline in strength and flexibility as they age.

One in four Americans over age 60 has diabetes. Obesity and physical inactivity can put you at risk for this disease, but a regular, appropriate physical activity routine is one of the best ways to prevent and manage type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Diamond Minds

Howard Margolies

SIGND,

Sealed & Delivered

I

magine Ottis “OJ” Anderson, former NY Giant great and Super Bowl winner, wishing your husband a happy birthday— while signing a football for him. Or NJ Devil great, and three time Stanley Cup winner, Ken Daneyko sending a shout out to your daughter—while autographing a hockey puck. SIGND delivers the most unique gift for any celebration. Think birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, or for any gift occasion. This month I sat down with Howard Margolies, the founder of SIGND. His company offers personalized experiences through dozens of New Jersey/New York sports and entertainment Icons and beyond. Barry Farber: How would you explain to someone what SIGND is? Howard Margolies: We are a unique memorabilia experience that combines three different components. An unboxing experience, custom memorabilia, and a personalized video. Any one of those individually is a great gift by itself. We have all seen videos on the Internet of people unboxing, signing memorabilia and getting personal videos. When you combine all three of these…that is SIGND. BF: So it’s a great gift idea for all occasions? HM: Yes and think of corporate gifts. How many edible arrangements can you get in a year? How many times can you send stacked boxes of chocolate to the same client every year. This is something that they will have forever and ever. Usually you send something and then a few weeks after you and your employees have rummaged through it, and now it’s gone. With SIGND, you send something and they have it forever. BF: What inspired you to come up with this idea and vision? HM: I was inspired by three specific constituents in mind. One is the icons and the gap in the fan and icon activity. The other is the fan in creating that memory or bringing back that memory of a famous game, concert or event they went to with someone they care about. And the third, which pretty much drives everything we do, is charity. We want to help give back and help the less fortunate. A lot of that starts with some of the ex athletes. A lot of the alumni associations of which we partnered with look out for some of the alumni players who may have fallen on tough times and not have some of the means to support themselves both for medical bills, a roof over their head or God for bid even a funeral.

Barry Farber 86

Suburban Essex

BF: That’s a great part of your vision. HM: One of the first charities we’re getting behind is Michelle Akers horse rescue in Florida. She had to move her farm and her rescue horses are at risk and she needs funds. We are looking forward to helping her. BF: Any other ideas that drive you to keep going through any obstacles while building this business? HM: I thought it would be really fun if a consumer had the opportunity to be a “Disney Director” for 250 characters. First they’re a casting Director and find out who they want the message to be from. Then they’re the writer and director because they tell them what they want them to say. Then they’re the ultimate gift giver because they’re going to go through that activity and provide such a unique experience for the person they love and that’s the Hallmark experience. We’ve seen small kids to grown men cry. One person got something from a New York Giant, Ottis Anderson, and he almost dropped it and said he has to call his father. This is a grown man screaming he has to call his father to tell him he has this! That moved me. What motivates me every day is hearing great stories from amazing icons whether they are musicians and sharing their tough roads that they had to take. Playing in dive bars until they finally got a break. Or a baseball player telling me how many minor-league buses he sat on before he got his break. Or someone in the WNBA who were told they would never play professional sports because they didn’t have those opportunities for women. And Sheryl Swoopes was the first person who signed and so proud that she broke ground there. That’s what motivates me everyday. BF: Thank you Howard. On a side note I had a chance to speak with one of your icons, Dean Tolson, who played in the NBA for the Seattle Supersonics in 1974-1978 and transformed himself from illiteracy to a masters degree Magna Cum Laude in education and turned his life around. I was extremely inspired by his story. His championship was in the classroom. Stay tuned for that story coming soon to Diamond Minds.
