METHOD 1:

GAMIFICATION

BAAMBOOZLE In this website you can have access to many activities.

LESSON PLAN: 1. An activity in Baamboozle is chosen 2. Students are divided into two groups 3. They have to choose a number and answer the question hidden in that number. 4. Team work: They have to agree which the answer is and provide it to the teacher. 5. The more points a team gets, the better, although there are some traps that make the game much more fun and challenging.

METHOD 2:

learning in situ

VISITING MUSEUMS AND MONUMENTS OF OUR REGION Teachers take advantage of the outnumbered historical options our region has. Thus, history and art can be taught in situ in a more practical way.

LESSON PLAN: 1. A determined historical moment is chosen to be taught regarding the curriculum. 2. Students pay a visit to the historical site and thanks to the theory given in class, they apply the concepts and understand in a more practical way the artistic and historical characteristics of the given moment. 3. By watching and touching, students have to manage to understand the way the different civilisations lived and how the architecture and the organisation of our towns and cities have changed. 4. Cooperative work: Different activities are given to the groups. Later, they have to join and explain to the other mates what they found out through presentations (democratic digitalization). 5. Short Theatre Method: students are also asked to perform a short play in which they have to display how a determined civilisation lived or which were their customs.

METHOD 3: practical projects

PRACTICAL PROJECTS In our school different projects have been designed and put into practice this course. For instance, the radio station, the cardiopulmonary resuscitation (inside the PE department) and so on and so forth.

LESSON PLAN ON THE RADIO STATION PROJECT: 1. This project is framed in an elective curricular subject within the Spanish Language Department. 2. Students have learnt what types of sections there are in a radio station, how to use the different materials (microphones, sound editing apps, laptops, etc), what type of register is proper in each section, how to make direct and indirect questions, how to create a suitable and comfortable atmosphere in each interview, what tone to use and the importance of their voices to reach the audience and so on and so forth. 3. The Short Theatre Method is implied in each interview, as they have to take roles when they are recording the section. 4. Students learn that transitions are important in order to make the interview more interesting and, furthermore, to make the introduction, the body and the conclusion of the interview smoother.
